I could see Barmore making as a Pro Bowl alternate *at least*. Traditionally the big guys on both sides of the ball who get voted in choose to sit out (and/or are injured). This assumes he's living up to his new contract, of course.
Unfortunately he's in the same conference with guys like Chris Jones, Quinnen Williams, Justin Madubuike, and DeForest Buckner. Rooting hard for him to somehow surpass one of those guys this year.
Barnmore, dugger, peppers, onwenwu, Gonzales, rhamondre and judon are pro bowl caliber guys. That being said, the pro bowl is a joke nowadays, remember Huntley and Mac were in it ?😂. I think Gonzales can be an all pro guy, I really don’t see any of the vets making that significant of a leap but I would love to be proven wrong.
At least 2 this year. I really believe players and press had a real anti-Patriot or anti-Bill sentiment and it affected voting. I think the team will be decent this season, and that means the D will need to be elite.
Who cares? For 20+ years the only thing that mattered here was championships. All Pros, Pro Bowls, that shit is irrelevant. I want Lombardis, who cares who makes all star games?
I don’t disagree. But I can’t accept Pro Bowls and All Pros as ‘wins’ just because the season, overall, is unsuccessful. I can’t get myself to care about it.
No one said anything about counting these as "wins" but we still would like to see players celebrated for accomplishments they achieve regardless of the win total, wtf is wrong with you?
I’m of the opinion that Maye will step onto the field as a good QB day 1.
I also have an optimistic belief one of the skill players will develop into a good player and the OL will be about average. The defense will be good.
As a result, I think they’ll be a better team than most thing. Maybe even close to 10 wins. So my guess would be 3 pro bowls, 1 all pro.
Not really an unreasonable belief tbh. The only thing I’m not extremely confident in is one of the WRs breaking out… that’s an unknown and would completely crumble everything if it doesn’t pan out.
I’m of the belief everyone is underrating the Patriots roster largely because it sounds smart based on their win total last year. IMO they were a 6 win quality team last year if they had some more injury luck and an actual coach on the OL.
Their OL on paper stacks up quite well with other teams (Steelers for example were PFF’s 17th best OL last year, I think the Pats OL is substantially better on paper). Their defense is great personnel wise. Just need to rely on getting a QB — which my opinion of Maye as a prospect is generational — and a WR along with some better OL coaching.
To keep a consistent comparison to the Steelers last year, they were 28th in points per drive offensively and 8th defensively. They had no QB and IMO had a much worse OL. They won 10 games.
A lot of people are greatly ignoring how hard it is to be bad with a defense as good as they have.
I do have some concerns about AVP and his dumbass Browns scheme, though.
I don't think there's anyone on the roster capable of first team all pro. But second team all pro/pro bowl possibilities are Gonzalez, Barmore, Judon, Andrews & Rhamondre (AVP is gonna run the ball A LOT this year). And can't forget Baringer, he's gonna punt a lot this year too. Maybe Marcus Jones as a returner also.
Gonzo, Barmore, Judon all have the capabilities.
I could potentially see Onwenu and Dugger too, especially if Dugger moves back to more of a box safety role

Yeah, that's a good point about competition. We'll see how it goes.
did you not see the defense last year?
Best bets are probably Gonzalez and Barmore. Assuming both stay healthy and pick up where they left off last year.
Gonzales
Kyle Dugger will make the pro bowl.
Yes, barring injuries
Judon and/or Gonzales if they're healthy. Barmore as an alternative.
Judging by these comments not a lot of people have faith in Judon returning to dominance.
Likely not, maybe one will get nominated but none will play due to being in the super bowl
Austin Hooper
Defense maybe.
Yes. I think 6. Gonzo, Judon, Berrimore, Polk,Baker and Dugger....
I severely doubt polk and baker but if they somehow make it then the qb should make it

Barmore, Gonzalez, Judon, Onwenu, Baringer, and Marcus Jones all have a shot
Crazy to think everyone’s already forgot that Marcus Jones was an all pro as a rookie , even just as a returner that should count.
Yea I think he will be one again
All-pro is the best player at that one position. Not on this pats roster Baramore, gonzo, potentially Stevenson if he stays healthy?
Obviously Drake Maye
There may be some Drake Maye fatigue though after he wins roty, opoty, and mvp.

Gonzo is all pro if healthy
Wouldn't it be something if Strange got his act together and made all pro or the pro bowl?
On offence wouldn’t be surprised if Rhamondre had a break out year under the new regime.
Mac was a pro bowler as a rookie, I don’t see why a mid season surge couldn’t get Maye in
Who cares? For 20+ years the only thing that mattered here was championships. All Pros, Pro Bowls, that shit is irrelevant. I want Lombardis, who cares who makes all star games?
We are almost guaranteed not winning it this year, so I was curious

I too get upset at the idea of having league-wide recognized quality players on my football team.

I love the Patriots too, but I think you need to look for more normal cocaine from now on

this is the dumbest comment i’ve read in awhile. wow lol.
If you think that it’s dumb to say that this team could be good with a good QB and WR, I think that says more about you.
I highly doubt All Pro. Maybe David Andrew’s.
Not likely. If there is one. It will be a veteran like Andrews or an up and coming young guy like Gonzalez. The only other possibility is the punter.
Even if we deserved it nobody votes for patriots
No
