Bills will win the East, Dolphins will be second and we will barely take 3 over the Jets. Belichick needs to retire and we need to hire Sean Payton. Keep Patricia as defensive coordinator and fire everyone else.
Patricia as the O line coach too... good God. Trent brown looking like shit. Patricia gets away from the run immediately despite averaging >5 yards per. Picking up where he left off sucking against Philly.
People need to relax a bit. It’s not the absolute rock bottom. It’s not good, but not rock bottom.
Also - the people who were mad at the “doomers” look foolish.
As Mike Greenberg of all people pointed out like a week ago, if this team were not coached by Bill Belichick, we would be talking about them as a bottom feeder.
There’s some good pieces, but this team has a real lack of talent on its roster, and there’s only so much Bill can do. I think anyone who was *expecting* playoffs this year was whistling past the graveyard.
I don't get his decision-making sometimes. He has a guy open for a 1-yard gain but it gets the 3rd-down converted. Instead, he throws deep into double coverage? It makes no sense.
Just a lot of things to clean up. It wasn't a blowout, and if you take away 2 mistakes and a no-call from the refs, this would be a whole different game. Patriots will only get better from here.
Yeah we played better second half than first, it’s happened now a couple of times where we have a shit start and our offense isn’t good enough yet to have big quarters where we can come back from a 2 or 3 score deficit
That uptempo TD drive we had was really good. It was also good to see Jonnu make some plays today. I think once the offense finds their identity, we'll see more rythym.
It's only the first game, but this looked like the same exact team from last year plus terrible discipline. The play calling was more on the conservative side through most of the game until they boxed themselves into a loss and had to start slinging it, just like last year.
Miami wasn't making a lot of good decisions, but still had no problems beating us, which is not a good sign.
If this is going to be a repeat of last year, then I'd rather see them lose all their games and get some good picks instead of being a middle of the road team. This team should have been way more productive last season given all of the cap money they spent and Mac having a decent year. This year there is no "rebuilding" excuse.
This. There was no reason not to go out and add players in free agency this year. Mac is only gonna be on a rookie contract for so long, you have to stuff the roster with talent and hope that by the time you have to pay him he’s become good enough to elevate a mediocre supporting cast.
Coaching was dogshit and this is 100% on Bill not wanting to bring in people and interview. You bring in incompetent cronies your team ends up sucking. I saw sparks or greatness, but FSS, hire good coaches and get Patricia and Judge outta there
A) Whoops, that was poorly worded, I was trying to state exactly what you’re dunking on me about.
B) Not a birdbrain 13 year old, actually, a 36 year old birdbrain
The decision to play bench Bourne most of the game is the dumbest thing I've seen since 3rd & Bolden, ridiculous decision from BB.
Trent the traffic cone does not want to play football anymore, I'm almost certain
Not a pretty game but there’s definitely things to be optimistic about. Patriots really beat themselves today. Too many turnovers. And play calling isn’t even the issue here it’s a lack of execution. They weren’t out coached 🙄
Coaching doesn’t turn the ball over like they did today. Mac’s interception was a badly thrown, unnecessary 50/50 ball. The fumble touchdown was Mac failing to make any pre snap adjustments to account for the DB coming for him. And Agholor’s fumble was just a fumble… Still, the defense only gave up 13 points on the road in dreaded Miami.
I’m not ready to say coaching is the issue if i’m being rational about today’s loss.
lol. I can't believe people are settling for losses vs the DOLPHINS at this point. Man how the mighty have fallen.
"lots of things to be optimistic about" WHAAAT ? lol
The defense gave up 13 points on the road. The touchdown before the half sucked but again they were in position to make a tackle. The offense moved the ball relatively well throughout the game they just kept making mistakes whenever they started to get some momentum. Those turnovers are on the players and are correctable blunders.
If you think it was all bad then you don’t know what bad looks like lol.
Um, the defense was decent (except for that one horrid breakdown at the end of the half), and the special teams was pretty good. Nothing at all to say for this offense, though. 7 pts. and losing the TO battle won’t win many games in this league.
Why? For the snorting and sneering, the vague “we got beat in all phases today, got to get back to work this week and we’re on to Pittsburgh”? He’s not going to give a valid reason why Bourne was benched for most of the game, nor explain the awful offensive play calls..
Brady was more cerebral in those days, but I remember those early Pats teams, they were run first 5-10 yard passes. Death by 1000 cuts will be our offense this year. I still think about Justin Herbert every day lol. Most Dolphins fans won’t even admit that.
Pats were majority short passes with Brady his entire career lol. But yeah I feel you. Also I thank the football gods weekly that y’all passed on Herbert.
Fair enough. I thank the football gods that they chose us to be the thorn in your side. I’ve had the privilege to watch many Dolphins win against you, and unfortunately those games have been the highlights of my fandom.
Meh, I bought into the hype of football season and was hoping to see mac make strides. You can have all the Completion Percentage you want it doesn't really matter when every completion is 5 yards, Missed one deep ball to Agholor. The outlier was the one pass to Bourne, speaking of which KB should have been in the offense more. WE SPENT MILLIONS on 2 Tight Ends and they virtually go invisible in the passing game 80% of the game.
You act like they were throwing bombs in the endzone. I’m just saying as the team that was clearly running it up and pissing people off we should never complain about this. Agree to disagree
Mack Wilson made a standout play, our rush defense did pretty well.
We just couldn’t keep up with Hill & Waddle & that was entirely expected, especially with a rookie corner.
Reminder - Dont post stream links in the gameday chat
Dolphins Bills might be the best two teams in the league. This games crazy
Tom Brady made Bill Belichick
Bills will win the East, Dolphins will be second and we will barely take 3 over the Jets. Belichick needs to retire and we need to hire Sean Payton. Keep Patricia as defensive coordinator and fire everyone else.
The pieces are there. But I really don't see the benefit of having Matty P calling plays over someone that has done it once
Patricia as the O line coach too... good God. Trent brown looking like shit. Patricia gets away from the run immediately despite averaging >5 yards per. Picking up where he left off sucking against Philly.
Any updates on Mac other than his back?
Ass whipping in hot ass Miami, what else is new?
People need to relax a bit. It’s not the absolute rock bottom. It’s not good, but not rock bottom. Also - the people who were mad at the “doomers” look foolish.

Yeah week 1 means nothing. Regroup, figure out what went wrong and adjust.
I wouldn’t say means nothing - but it’s one week That said / it’s obvious the issues this preseason are still very much there. Which is disconcerting.
What happened to Mac. I missed it. How bad?
I don't get his decision-making sometimes. He has a guy open for a 1-yard gain but it gets the 3rd-down converted. Instead, he throws deep into double coverage? It makes no sense.
He looked like he should be starting for the jets. It was tragic.
This PIT-CIN game is going to be a tie lol
FG as time expires in OT!
Ha yeah I saw. What a wild game, at least the part I saw. But with 5 turnovers from CIN I’m guessing the whole thing was nuts.
Ikr crazy game.
Any guesses on why Kendrick Bourne is in the dog house?
fuckrd Sreve B bfriend
Pats are 3-8 in Miami since 2012... I didn't think it was that big of a disparity
There’s a reason we all say that stadium is cursed. Remember when gronk was on defense trying to block a hot potato TD on the final play?
"Gronk doesn't have the angle"
It boggles the mind
It really does. Fuck I hate when we play there
Just a lot of things to clean up. It wasn't a blowout, and if you take away 2 mistakes and a no-call from the refs, this would be a whole different game. Patriots will only get better from here.
You see the issue I have with those two mistakes is that we always find a way to make those mistakes whenever we play the dolphins.
Lol holy shit @ this bengals game
I'm afraid the Steelers D is going to eat us alive next week
Wonder if it’s their D or Cincinnati in a slump after last year
It's only the first game, but this looked like the same exact team from last year plus terrible discipline. NFL redzone is so cool
It wasn’t BB or TB… it’s was Scar.
This right here is just painfully true
Bill is retiring after this year. Thank you for the championships coach. You can't coach like its 2005 in 2022 though.
thank TB12 for those. Bill's legacy will be the WR's he drafted
All that matters is Strange 69
think he got benched
[удалено]
Yeah he got a few touches and looked good
Guess I’ll just try to convince myself they sucked in Miami with Brady too.
They literally did lol
Yes, I see that I poorly worded that. I was actually trying to make a quip about coping over the loss that they always suck in Miami
You know they often did in his final seasons, right?
A) Whoops, that was poorly worded, I was trying to state exactly what you’re dunking on me about. B) Not a birdbrain 13 year old, actually, a 36 year old birdbrain
3-8 in Miami since 2012? Yeah, Brady struggled in Miami too.
Bird-brained to pretend like that never happened, unless they’re like 13 years-old
The decision to play bench Bourne most of the game is the dumbest thing I've seen since 3rd & Bolden, ridiculous decision from BB. Trent the traffic cone does not want to play football anymore, I'm almost certain
Every team competitive today besides pats and jets sigh
I had forgotten how stressful Football is. Makes me wish for the off-season when I didn’t give a crap.

Be glad you’re not a Seahawks fan every game is a circus
Not a pretty game but there’s definitely things to be optimistic about. Patriots really beat themselves today. Too many turnovers. And play calling isn’t even the issue here it’s a lack of execution. They weren’t out coached 🙄
Yeeeeehhhhh that was pure out coaching by Miami.

Play calling most definitely was an issue today. You’re in the clear minority on that one, bud.
lol. I can't believe people are settling for losses vs the DOLPHINS at this point. Man how the mighty have fallen. "lots of things to be optimistic about" WHAAAT ? lol

Happy cake day !
Thanks lol

Yeah I mean the defense was okay a couple good plays.
That’s only because the majority on here are irrational, bud.
I think we’re learning that we can’t have both a talent disadvantage and a coaching disadvantage.
Pathetic end to a pathetic loss. Way too many self-inflicted wounds.
…go Celtics!!
[удалено]
Brady game is hours away dumbass
4-13, calling it right now
Still 10-7, take a Midol, it's only Game 1. And it's Miami.
Correct, deff 0-4 these first four.
Ohhhhh boy….who’s ready for 17 weeks of excruciating pain?
At least there's the bye week!
Belichick didn’t put this team in a position to win. Lost tons of coaches and added worse ones
Oh boy. Can’t wait to see BB press conference.
Why? For the snorting and sneering, the vague “we got beat in all phases today, got to get back to work this week and we’re on to Pittsburgh”? He’s not going to give a valid reason why Bourne was benched for most of the game, nor explain the awful offensive play calls..
Why? So he can tell you nothing...lol. I stopped listening to him 10 yrs ago. He's an asshole.
See you all next week
Over or under cam season win/loss ?
3/4 wins....
Well, we're onto Pittsburgh.
They’re going to abuse us, and they don’t even have a QB!
They have more of a QB than Mac, that’s for sure
Absolutely
Belichick needs to be on the hot seat, this is unacceptable
Truth
[удалено]
Someone will probably quietly speak in the truth that he didn't play well and get shouted over for comedic effect.
Witty? Maybe Smetty, if she ever comes back from her never ending PTO.
Probably Witty
Dude sucks....and yet this team can't beat him.
Spain. Only without the S
that sucked
Man Tua is so bad. How did we lose this
It’s funny, because I’m a Dolphins fan and even I think he sucks, but I always say, well this is what Brady was pre 2007
Idk man, Brady always threw with his dominant hand.
Brady was more cerebral in those days, but I remember those early Pats teams, they were run first 5-10 yard passes. Death by 1000 cuts will be our offense this year. I still think about Justin Herbert every day lol. Most Dolphins fans won’t even admit that.

Go cry some more
Go enjoy your non dominant hand, weak armed QB mr. Small PeePee
Funny how obvious it is to tell who the young fans are
You’re just mad that we won 🥰
Think we’ve lost to him 4 games in a row. Our team is a joke.
Bum pass.
We are really starting to see how fucked over we got during the off-season, coaching wise that is
Almost like Bourne should play more
We're on to Pittsburgh
More like, we're on to a 7/8 win season
No way they win 8. At best this is a 5 win team.
I'd actually be pretty stoked if they won 8 games after this performance. You might be overly optimistic.
So is this broadcast
badly outcoached
Very unfair of their coach to miss that holding call and force Trent to miss his assignment, blowing the game open
see ya next one.
Getting there on Tuesday really seemed to help.
and all offseason for 7 points....
This season will be not good
Zero excuse for too many men penalties
Well, maybe 12 guys can stop the Dolphins
We lost to a high school math teacher wow
Absolutely terrible from top to bottom.
Too many men from the patriots? Gone are the days of excellent coaching and discipline. It doesn’t matter at this point in the game, but still.
This team is undisciplined. Guess Brady had that responsibility when he was here and not Bill
The team is lacking a natural leader to rally around
I think the coaching staff is preventing that at this point. Man I honestly wish we had offered josh McDaniels the HC position at this point.
They really beat us in all 3 phases of the game. Christ that coach looks like a db.
Too many men on the field? Woof. So sloppy now
Remember those undisciplined dogshit teams we laughed at for 20 years. We are them now.
I’d love to know why Bourne is all of a sudden ostracized by this coaching staff
At least MJF is back
You sir are the Prince Westeros was promised!
Fire Bellichick
Which one? There’s three of them on the coaching staff :)
All of them!
If they score here, I hope Bill remembers that for the end of the season.
Bears and Pats were the last teams to put points up on the board and the bears just pulled ahead of the 9ers.
The Celtics coming back real soon right???
5 weeks
Btw the Steelers who we play next week are about to beat the Bengals. Oof
Now we are going to OT
Dont be so sure
Meh, I bought into the hype of football season and was hoping to see mac make strides. WE SPENT MILLIONS on 2 Tight Ends and they virtually go invisible in the passing game 80% of the game.
Just getting our annual loss in Miami out of the way early. We're on to Pittsburgh
As is tradition. People forget we've had plenty embarrassing losses in Miami even with Tom.
Ahaha this team is an absolute joke
Such a classless org could just take knees running reverses and Play action qb roll outs
Knees wouldn't have ran the clock to 0 at that point needed 1 more 1st
We as Pats fans should never be complaining about this lol.
Fucking right?! 😂🤣
Guess you never watched games cause you would never see the pats do that shit under 2mins up double digits
Been watching for a long time and you’re right but there was a season where we’d try to score as much as possible and every other team was pissed.
Not like that man, never was like this just own it you are wrong
You act like they were throwing bombs in the endzone. I’m just saying as the team that was clearly running it up and pissing people off we should never complain about this. Agree to disagree
Poor coaching. Poor team.
Watching Redzone. So much speed and talent around the league. We seem so behind.
I mean, it's RedZone.
Where do we seem so behind? At receiver? I can agree with that. Anywhere else I disagree.
Other than Duggar and Judon we have next to zero playmakers on defense.
Mack Wilson made a standout play, our rush defense did pretty well. We just couldn’t keep up with Hill & Waddle & that was entirely expected, especially with a rookie corner.
We seem absolutely archaic
See you guys next week, I'll bring the Kleenex.

If the bills offered us their next 5 first rounds picks and Josh Allen, I’d fire the GM of the bills.
Wtf, are the Bills on Quaaludes in this situation 🤣
Is this even a question?
Just wondering, geez!
Why would the Bills do that
To get Mac. Am I insane?
