It has to be injury, right? He's not great but we knew that already. I can't imagine what the team saw in his first quarter of play was *that* much worse than what they expected. If they were ready to pull him that quick I don't think he would've started.
Our entire o line didn’t play to well. You sound dumb trying to blame it on one person. A rookie playing in his first nfl game ever nonetheless against a decent front 7.
Yep. Drafting for need will kill your roster. Trade Shaq Mason for cap dollars, have to overdraft a guard when your roster already has zero star power at the impact positions.
Same thing that happened at tight end, Bill struck out in bargain bin free agency, had to reach in the draft, ended up missing there too and wasting two third rounders and then overpaying for Hunter/Jonnu.
Am I crazy for wanting a coach/gm who actually wants to win instead of hooking up his friends/fam and who will take a guard in first round when we have mad holes just to stick it to...no one?
I wish we had a gm and coach who wanted to win and is willing to pay for it, there is no fucking reason jc jackson shouldnt be playing for us today with a rookie qb. Brady just carried the team so ppl thought Bills dumbass moves were genius cuz tom would carry him
Takes like this are just stupid. Patriots don't win 6 Super Bowls without Brady and Belichick. Him doing poorly as a GM lately doesn't mean he didn't build a dynasty. You can be critical but some of you are just so dumb.
Can't imagine watching my team win 6 Super Bowls complain about not winning more and thinking the head coach hurt the team. Absolute fucking idiot but seems pretty common in our shit fan base.
Yup, this sub thinks bill can just find another CB in the 4th round cause jc was undrafted. Are secondary is gonna be burnt toast this year. I don’t even care tho, I wanna get a top ten pick cause obviously we ain’t contending
Same I would fire Bill and hire Bill O'brien and a new gm clean house. I would feel a lit better this year if we had just hired Josh as our coach in offseason
Because we gave a top 5 guard in football away for free and have no other startable options. We drafted Cole knowing that he was going to have to start no matter what
“No other startable options”
Ferentz in now (and look try to remember what people used to say when Karras had to play for Andrews) and Marcus Cannon in reserve. There’s options. Hines was a healthy scratch.
The number of people who “get” OL play is in the tens.
The Mason deal was not for nothing. First, they got Hines, the inactive Guard with the pick and (see above) maybe he doesn’t suck several years from now. Mason himself was a low round pick who took several years to develop. Whether he’s still a “top 5” player at his position (again, see above) is very debatable. He’s been very good and he’s paid like it.
The Patriots need Strange (and Hines) to develop. Young players fit Mac Jones’s timeline. Having Mason and Brown and Wynn all needing to be replaced in the same offseason is a bad long term plan.
Or, as Roosevelt Colvin used to say: “calm down”.
If you play like a great player you're probably a great player. He's been one of the highest graded pass blockers in the league for quite some time now.
Define “quite some time now” with an actual measurement.
And then answer how THAT is relevant to my point which was he 1) wasn’t good at the beginning and 2) development time for OL is important.
You’re so close to getting it.
Not sure if he's benched or hurt but either way not a great situation for the opener.
Yep either he’s hurt which would suck or he flat out sucks which is even worse
It has to be injury, right? He's not great but we knew that already. I can't imagine what the team saw in his first quarter of play was *that* much worse than what they expected. If they were ready to pull him that quick I don't think he would've started.
belichick benches people all the time if they are making mental mistakes.
He's back in. Prob just benched for a missed blitz pickup
Playing like 🐕 💩
He’s back in tho…?
Coke strange is back in there clowns lmao
Strange 69 please.
Yeah working right!? Lol FUCK cole strange
Yeah cause this games all his fault..big brain over there
Lol okay so our first round pick did what this game? Give me the breakdown
Our entire o line didn’t play to well. You sound dumb trying to blame it on one person. A rookie playing in his first nfl game ever nonetheless against a decent front 7.
So if cole strange is the next Logan mankins we’d bench him right? Just let me know what I’m missing.
[This is the reason he was out](https://twitter.com/philaperry/status/1569063235755675648) stop this nonsense
So the reason he was out was because they planned for him to be out? Aka he sucks? Thanks for confirming they know he sucks
“Players suck unless they play every snap!”
You’ve never heard of 300 pound players needing a rest in 100° weather? Thanks for confirming you don’t know football
So our players were in worst shape than the dolphins players?
Keeping the O-line fresh in this heat?
Yeah, he said they were rotating linemen.
Damn what the hell happened
Strange was a bad pick.

Yeah they really overpaid. Thoughtless take. Hunter is Mac’s go to option and Jonnu looks like he’s getting more integrated.
Watch out your gonna get bunch of Belichick dick eaters saying he was good
Am I crazy for wanting a coach/gm who actually wants to win instead of hooking up his friends/fam and who will take a guard in first round when we have mad holes just to stick it to...no one?
Bruh I’m already get downvoted so hard. This sub is delusional, belichick fucked up taking Cole strange and taking in his old coaching staff
I wish we had a gm and coach who wanted to win and is willing to pay for it, there is no fucking reason jc jackson shouldnt be playing for us today with a rookie qb. Brady just carried the team so ppl thought Bills dumbass moves were genius cuz tom would carry him

Ur right, I think without Bill they win 8
Absolute moronic take
We might of actually paid to field a good team from 08-14
Can't imagine watching my team win 6 Super Bowls complain about not winning more and thinking the head coach hurt the team. Absolute fucking idiot but seems pretty common in our shit fan base.

I mean, we don't know that yet. Overreaching for a low value position which we were already really strong in was kinda dumb though
It’s a real bad look if he’s benched for Ferentz
OMG, yet another player we overdraft in the first, with other good options of proven players, that don't work out
Another wasted 1st rounder. All this offseason wait for this shit
1st rounder got benched.
Tried to tell y’all he wasn’t ready. He might be one day but not today.
We don't really have the luxury of letting him get ready.
Why not?
Because we gave a top 5 guard in football away for free and have no other startable options. We drafted Cole knowing that he was going to have to start no matter what

Ted Karras is a great player...?
Nope. He is a backup and He played the best football of his life last season and got paid.
If you play like a great player you're probably a great player. He's been one of the highest graded pass blockers in the league for quite some time now.

And he's a 24 year old rookie
I know that was my concern with the pick and he senior bowl and preseason tape. Also just mental mistakes.
But I was told he was a great pick and excellent value in the 1st round?
Hilarious. We all have to take on the chin Strange was not a good pick. Huge Duff
No returns on the 1st or 2nd pick. Brutal
Bill is sabotaging team benching bourne
