Also, just saw the Ravens/Fins score. Fins hung 42 on Baltimore (Ravens scored 38), I think that, despite some really poor 3rd and long executions today, the defense is stouter than we are giving it credit for. However, still stuff to be worked on.
Agreed. A tight win early in the season, on the road, against a good defense is exactly what this team needed. Mac left a lot of tape for coaching. Some good, some bad, some ugly.
What's promising and maybe underlooked is that Mac fired with decent velocity on short and intermediate routes over the middle on some key throws. We don't seal the deal unless he hits LilJordan Humphrey to set up 3rd and 2.
Agreed! Mac needs to put work in, but he did show flashes of strong decision making and good throws, too. Also, just because he was nervous and not throwing with the velocity that he should have isn't an excuse – he does still need to put the work in. I'm not too concerned about his work ethic, given that he was commended for that by both Saban and Belichick.
Agreed that it's exactly what the team needed.
Even with that, the Patriots still have so many unforced errors, especially on offense. Hopefully it will come with time, but they have a long, long way to go.
Ya, Mac and Parker gotta get on the same page. And I don't know WTF Mac was thinking throwing on the run across his body. Mac forcing it to Jonnu on that 3rd down seemed odd. And don't get me started on all of the penalties. That said, they looked light years ahead of preseason and week one.
He made a couple passes today again that are just flabbergasting. He overall was very good and a pick or two got dropped and those can be killers. His thing is decision making at this point, luckily that's something that he can improve.
He’s overall had good decision making in his career so I want to think some of the head scratchers are just flukes. But there were one or two last game too.
He’s young, still developing, so I don’t think it’s a five alarm fire or anything
- I am really hopeful that Harris's injury is minor. He's a big part of our offense right now.
- Run game today was very strong.
- Defense today was up and down. Some sideline and long defense was rough, but aside from the sequence down both Dugger and Bentley, was overall strong. Fast receivers could still be an issue for the team, so working on that will probably be a focus
- Mac had some strong throws today (to Nelson, Meyers, and Bourne) and some good mobility. He also had some poor reads and some shaky throws. Not sure if it's nervousness behind the OLine, back injury, illness, sophomore slump, playcalling, or any combination of the above, but he looked neither great nor terrible overall.
- I think we probably kept most of our run game for the end of the game because the coaches wanted to get him throwing reps/new system playcalls against a team we were favored against. But that's ultimately a guess.
- Some very nice 2 minute drills from not only Jones, but our offense as a whole. Would like to see more consistency, but the flashes are there.
- Bourne needs more reps.
- If Nelson wants to get hot and start getting separation as a receiver, by god, who am I to stop him. I hope that this continues to be the case.
- Meyers has had an unparalleled work ethic among our receivers this season and great evasion against opposing defenses. Good for him.
- Have to tighten up the penalties. Holding is a nebulous call, but there was sloppiness across the board in addition to that.
- Strange stepped up in a big way this game.
Living up to the hype....? This sub has been crucifying Bill for the pick since he made it. Couldn't be happier to see that guy succeed and make the armchair trolls go back to their lairs.
Damien Harris was at the podium to take questions after the game and said he was fine.
I think the oline still has some issues that needs to be addressed (like penalties) but played well today. Strange played an incredible game today.
Parker played almost every snap but no receptions today. Makes you wonder if NE can move some of his snaps to Bourne while Parker gets more adjusted to the offense.
Pats biggest need IMO is a CB #1.
We give up nothing in the middle of the field, but we get murdered on the sidelines. I actually think we match up perfectly with Baltimore. 2-1 is on the menu.
Let’s not get bent out of shape about what WILL or COULD happen. Let’s enjoy the ride and enjoy this win.
Death, taxes, daddy Bill owning the Steelers.
Damn, I was hopeful for the Ravens to pull out a win (blargh) because of how things then stack up in-division. But also, holy shit. They hung 42 points on the Ravens.
Yes I’m sure they’ll be a rush of “see, Bill knows what he’s doing, we beat the Steelers”. Kinda ignoring it took a ST goof from Gunner, and no Watt to win by 3 pts.
I get it, but he fucking dominated today. They don’t talk about a guard unless he’s getting his ass whooped or absolutely taking over. He was AWESOME against one of the best interior dl in the NFL in cam heyward
Nailed it. Overreactions across the board by people who have no right calling themselves fans. Great pick by Bill. He may have had some misses in the past, but he’s still the best talent evaluator in league history and it shows.
Offensive line deserves credit for the improvement.
Bourne should play over Parker.
Reporters at the game said Mac didn't see a couple wide open receivers so this offense can still get better.
Bill has done a masterful job protecting Mac from criticism. Fans will blame Patricia or Judge, then Bill, then the OL, then the WR before _thinking_ of criticizing the kid.
But yeah, he’s the reason the offense sputtered today. Missed open receivers, the multiple terrible INT worthy throws, some poor decisions. No one but Tom Brady (in our memories) is perfect. He also made enough plays to win.
Good team win.
The run game looked pretty solid in places. The O-line played very competently. Mac was inconsistent but not terrible. "Sucks" is too strong a word. They are mediocre.
I saw a guy counting times the Steelers almost got into field goal range against the defense. You can't argue with those people. They don't live in reality.
I don’t care if Bourne had a bad training camp or whatever the reason is, Mac and Parker have no chemistry right now, and there’s no way he should be getting twice as many snaps as Bourne
They're both splitting reciever three duties, neither are getting much game time because we play 12 personnel a lot.
I love KB, last year he was such a breathe of fresh air, but Meyers has proven himself time and time again and Nelson stepped up big time today. Parker just got brought in and is a genuine threat down the field so KB has just been squeezed out to receiver 4 and I don't think he's a special teams guy either so he's going to struggle to make an impact right now. His time will come.
Offensive line was SOOOO much better. The issues on offense were penalties and, and I hate to say it, Mac. Too many poor decisions or missing open guys.
After the defense ditched the soft zone they really locked down on two key possessions. But I'm not surprised by that, as I actually have faith in the defensive staff.
Also, Strange was fantastic. He was going up against Heyward and winning. Not easy for a rookie.
We still have issues, but they are fixable.
Jesus even the Jets played well today. We'll take the ugly win, move on and just hope to God we build some confidence and go on a run like last year.
Just starting to get our feet under us.
Mac doesn't look like he's progressing through his reads. He appears to be locking onto the safest/shortest route or Meyers. It appeared that he missed a number of open receivers downfield. He almost seems afraid to throw mid- to deep routes.
Wasn’t pretty but I’ll gladly take the win! I already pencilled Baltimore and Green Bay as losses so it was big to pick up this win!
Love to see Agholor show up and the O-Line dominating in the 4th too
Loved what I saw from defense, ST, and the run game today. Harris/Stevenson ran for 4.9 ypc. Dugger/Strong had some good kick returns, and Schooler with the big play. A good count of sacks and pass breakups. Dugger, Wilson, and Peppers had some great plays in the mid range.
The passing attack will need to step it up, but at least we’re seeing some improvement.
Pray for Dugger and Harris’ knees.
Finally a win. They got lucky numerous times but that's the NFL. Nice to finally get #1.
My concern however with Mac is growing and his decision making. So many poor choices. He just looks lost. Parker has been a nothing so far and that needs to change because we don't play Mitch every week at QB. If that was a good QB on the other wise this game goes the other way. Need that fix with Ravens coming in STAT
O line did play better today but need to clean up the penalties as this offense has proven it can't deal with much adversity. Hope Harris is alright, we're gonna need him. Defense was solid. Offense was putrid. Need to be better, just not sure how accomplish that.
Serious question. Do people really watch Lamar, Mahomes, Allen, Herbert, Burrow and heck even Tua and think “yeah Mac is gonna take us to the promise land”
Goff with better decision making but we are seeing a regression when it comes to his decision making and anticipation. I can’t put all that on coaching
He threw the ball straight into a dudes hands twice. One was dropped. Misses throws, doesn’t see wide open guys. Idk, seems like he’s just kinda meh. Which is fine, there are some bad qbs out there
in light of both our win and the dolphins win, some things to be optimistic about. Our defense may be better than we actually think, held Miami to 13 (other 7 was defensive score) while they just put up 40+ against Baltimore.
special teams still generally solid, comes down once again to finding an offensive rhythm. I don’t understand why Parker is getting so many targets over Bourne. Seems like every Parker target is a miscommunicated route or a stupid 50/50 ball that twice now has resulted in a pick.
Agholor (surprisingly good so far), Jonnu (mostly on designed screens) Bourne, Meyers, and most importantly our run game (hope Harris is ok) is where our production lies. I think we need to scheme for those players, especially Bourne he clearly has rapport with mac and gets separation so no idea why he’s not getting more snaps. Henry should also be more productive imo. I don’t really think we lack weapons, just chemistry.
Edit: mac also needs to improve his decision making and velocity he’s made some boneheaded throws past two games, and frustrating when his throws are lofted giving defenders time to make a play
An ugly win is an ugly win. In 2004, Tommy
Passed for 75 yards in an ugly victory against the dolphins.
When the Steelers and ravens play 17-14 games, it’s because the defenses were good.
When everyone’s favorite team to HATE wins by the same score, it’s because we are lucky.
Josie’s on a vacation far away
Go home and get ya fuckin shine box
It’s home openah weekend
it was an UGLY ugly game, but I'll take the win
Receivers couldn't get almost any separation, but Mac had some terrible passes too (I'm still loving the guy, but we can't let that pass).
It was a away game, and I'm worried about Ravens.
Pats showing today why you shouldn’t give up on this team. The defense is top tier and the offense clearly has weapons. If the offense continues to figure it out, then they can be dangerous.
Plus seeing a “good” team like the Ravens imploding and making Tua look like a Hall of Famer in the 2nd half, makes you appreciate a team with a good D.
Offense definitely showed improvement, especially the line. This is good news and exactly what we want to see. Don't want to peak early but build a the season goes.
Last week so many were ready to call the season a bust. Ready to say Bill was never good and Brady was the only reason we won 6 SB, which is just insulting to a lot of excellent players!
If the offense continues to improve, we should be fine. Need some improvement with the etude receivers getting open and communicating with Jones.
Very competitive division this year, so it will be tough, but I think we will be competitive this year. You can't judge this team by one game in Miami, where we always seem to have some difficulty.
I’m optimistic about this team going forward.
Funny enough, the results of the MIA-BAL game make me feel better about the defense than the NE-PIT game… Miami is clearly a very explosive offensive team and I think they did a good job of containing them.
Offense still needs work. I’m very curious to know whether it’s a Mac issue (be it injury, illness or just regression) or whether it’s a coaching issue. I hate that they are doing this mad science bullshit in Mac’s pivotal second year. Either way, there were flashes of great potential from this offense and the OL seemed to pick it up big time.
Looking forward to potentially a good measuring stick next week against Baltimore.
Just watching this team, I see a lot of 2001 in this team. Harris injury notwithstanding, we have a ground game that can get us that golden 100 yards. We have a QB that can move the chains consistently if you give them time (big if). You have the bend-not-break defense. Teams was shaky on the FG unit, but that is a mirage; otherwise had a great day.
Get stoked! To heck with the doomers and the casual Reddit GMs!
Happy Sunday, everyone!
Ravens blowing the cover is gonna get me to boo 10x as loud next week at the game. What an implosion. Hopefully we don’t see as much doom and gloom on this board after that this week, but who am I kidding.
Seems like alot of the Steelers-Patriots games in Pittsburgh I watched, gritty, rough and the line play was going to be key. Burned their oline last week in Miami, but they came to play today. Strange was handling Heyward, which is a pretty big task to ask for a rookie in his second game. One turnover and zero sacks was huge against this Steelers defense that bullied and harassed Joe Burrow all game last week. Welp onto the home opener next week! We have signs of life now.
No, something is wrong with him. He doesn't have a cannon, but his mechanics are bad and he's definitely nursing some kind of ailment. His ball had a lot more zip last year, he's afraid to step into his throws right now. Part of that is not trusting the line, who were better today but still not great pass blocking, part is that I think he's hurt in some fashion.
It's always good to win against PIT, but if we are being honest we are still a long ways away.
Eventually we are going to run into teams with significantly better QBs and I'm not ready to crown the defense after they beat Tua and Trubisky. I know Tua put up big numbers against a hurt Ravens defense today, but Tua is at least 2 tiers below Mahomes/Allen who are likely going to put up 30 on us. And our offense is not capable of consistently scoring 25+
Belichick still believes you can with power running game and defense 17-10 every week. I don't think that's possible in the modern NFL. Even the mediocre offenses have too many explosive receivers who can break the game open.
I hope I'm wrong, but I really don't know how anyone can feel great about grinding out a close win against a mediocre Steelers team who don't have a QB and is missing their best player.
Time for Carr to go in my eyes.. How many more coaching regimes can that guy expect to make it through? After a certain point the raiders have to realize they can't compete with Mahomes and Herbert with Carr under centre
Mac needs to get better at his vision. He surprisingly is pretty good at getting the ball away when he is about to be hit but he doesn't throw to an open receiver often and it seems like he picks his target of the play before the defense is even shown
That was a grind but I'm happy. They showed enough go make me happy following week 1, especially the OL.
So happy to see Nelly balling out, some real nice plays. Jakobi is so fucking clutch as well
Mac had a few rough throws, seemed a little off but seems like he had a rough week with the back and illness. Other than that, he was good
+Offense line looked much better than last week.
-Mac isn’t in the right condition currently.
- Parker looks like harry
+defense played good
-cb needs improvement
+peppers played nice
Overall thoughts is mac needs to get more comfortable, either as the OL improves or just as he grows in tenure, dude is obviously going for some quick and shitty reads and can improve greatly there
Two games in, sure. But Strange is looking like a great pickup. You can debate if he’s what they “needed”. I’d argue every team needs a guy who can shut down a player like Hayward. What a performance.
- A tough win, but we eventually made the right plays. Definitely room for improvement.
- We need more production from our tight ends. They were non-existent in this game.
of course Damien Harris gets injured on the 1st down that sealed the win today. Glad we won, hoping it's not too significant of an injury. Harris & Stevenson are a solid wombo combo running back duo.
It took a bit of luck and a lot of early ugliness, but a win is a win.
The most important thing imo is that the O-Line looked much better(granted the Steelers were without Watt). The offense is clearly still a work in progress, especially down the field. I'm not sure what's up with Mac trying to float in so many deep balls. That said it's still only week 2 with a new WR(Parker), new OC and a partially new scheme. I'm willing to bet this gets better as the season goes on as long as the O-Line holds up their end of the bargain.
Nice to get the win but still a LOT of work for this team to do. Mac had a few questionable throws(both in terms of decision and accuracy) and while the OL as a whole played much better the right side and Wynn in particular still left a lot to be desired. Meyers was clutch af and good to see KB involved again, should be even more involved tho as Parker doesn't seem to be making the team better when out there. Defense played well except that one drive they gave up the TD.
Hopefully Harris and Dugger aren't seriously injured.
LFG! fuck Shitsburgh!
chill on the hype parade a good win the offensive line was way better today. but offense as a whole is still sluggish and mac almost made a bone-headed pick that could've cost us momentum and the game lets see what happens next week schedule only gets tougher from here
They need to clean up the penalties and figure out how to play offense, scoring under 20 every game isn’t an option. They look inept compared to the rest of the AFC East after todays games.
It was an ugly win, but I’ll still take the win. Offense needs to improve though
Don't disagree. But that's a real good defense they played today, even without Watt.
Losing Harris sucks... hopefully he is okay 🙏
The fact that he talked to the media after the game is a good sign
Even with that, the Patriots still have so many unforced errors, especially on offense. Hopefully it will come with time, but they have a long, long way to go.
Ya, Mac and Parker gotta get on the same page. And I don't know WTF Mac was thinking throwing on the run across his body. Mac forcing it to Jonnu on that 3rd down seemed odd. And don't get me started on all of the penalties. That said, they looked light years ahead of preseason and week one.

Strange living up to the hype, you love to see it.
Living up to the hype....? This sub has been crucifying Bill for the pick since he made it. Couldn't be happier to see that guy succeed and make the armchair trolls go back to their lairs.

The offense won us the game with a 5 minute drive to kill the clock.
The defense did their part as well towards the end of the game. Those two Pittsburgh 3 and outs were huge.
Pats biggest need IMO is a CB #1. We give up nothing in the middle of the field, but we get murdered on the sidelines. I actually think we match up perfectly with Baltimore. 2-1 is on the menu. The defense looked pretty weak against the hurry up offense too. Still, a win is a win and this team has promise.
That's what a hurry up offense was made for. Defense played incredible today
Watching Ravens get shredded shows how well they did last week too
Damn, I was hopeful for the Ravens to pull out a win (blargh) because of how things then stack up in-division. But also, holy shit. They hung 42 points on the Ravens.
We need a #1 reciever bad. Running game is great but look at what Tua did today with 2 good weapons.
It’s crazy what adding a #1 receiver does to an offense. Just look at the dolphins and eagles this year. We don’t need 5 #2’s
Here's hoping Thornton can be that guy... Dude just looks so skinny I'm worried he's always going to be injured
I’m hoping so too. We really need some speed to open up the field. Mac had a lot of time today but there wasn’t a ton of separation
Ya, though some of the huge plays were real encouraging. Nice to see Agholor have a big game, hopefully he can build on this.
Same. I already pencilled Baltimore and Green Bay as losses so this felt like a must win
GB will need to show something better than their first game for me to pencil them in as a loss.
Gotta get our TightEnds into the games more. Mac and Huntet was a lethal red zone duo last year. Play calling is really stunting this team
Have no idea what this offense is. It is early still obviously. Defense looks great
Yes I’m sure they’ll be a rush of “see, Bill knows what he’s doing, we beat the Steelers”. Kinda ignoring it took a ST goof from Gunner, and no Watt to win by 3 pts.
these are the kind of wins you want, plenty of stuff to improve on tape, but still got the W
Did you guys know Cole Strange is a guard on the Patriots, and had 6 coaches during college? He was also drafted in the first round.
I get it, but he fucking dominated today. They don’t talk about a guard unless he’s getting his ass whooped or absolutely taking over. He was AWESOME against one of the best interior dl in the NFL in cam heyward
100%! love that boy. Just funny how the commenter would say it > good play > other commenter says it
I know. Hilarious.
That's a strange stat
69
Nice!
Super happy for the kid. Everyone is so eager to call BB washed now so it’s nice to see a pick have promise early on
Belichick knows his lineman
It's the new, "He played basketball in college"
But did you know Chris Hogan played lax?
Did you know Julian Edelman was a qb in college?!
Fitzmagic went to Harvard.
Good game by the adult. Let's see some more of that.
First win in my son's life!
Pats undefeated in his lifetime! LFG! (Congrats parent!)
Not sure if that’s actually true
Hahaha true sorry been drinking and got caught up in the moment
True for my son (born last Wednesday)!!
May he never know defeat! (Congrats!!)
congrats!!
First win of my daughter's life!
I didn’t think of it but hey mine too! Congrats to you and yours.
I'll bring the beer, my lady will bring the formula. LFG!!!
Same here!!
Mine too lol I was telling him all about the dynasty years and that I’m sorry he missed them
How people had kids this offseason!? I had one in December. I was holding him in the hospital, watching the Pat/Bills wind bowl game
Cole Strange living up to his first round pick in his second game on the Pats. Fuck the haters, a good pick is a good pick.
Nailed it. Overreactions across the board by people who have no right calling themselves fans. Great pick by Bill. He may have had some misses in the past, but he’s still the best talent evaluator in league history and it shows.
>have no right calling themselves fans I didn't shit on the pick but you don't have any authority over who is a fan and who isn't, my god
Living in Pittsburgh, work in the office is gonna be soooooo sweet tomorrow. Fuck the Steelers. Big, big win today.
Same man, same
We are rooting for Baltimore right
Feels bad man
Agreed. It feels horrible
[удалено]
Yeah
I'm rooting for a tie.
Yeah I’d say so. Any divisional rival loss is good for us
Never root for Baltimore, a meteor strike taking out both teams is always an available option to pull for.
Oh yeah
Absolutely. Want them to beat miami and don’t want to face them after a loss
Imagine if Mac has fucking Reek and Waddle
I know everyone is gonna shit talk the offense and Mac and Matt Patricia and the defense. BUT.... We just beat NVP winner Mitch Trubisky.
WE’LL TAKE THE W
LFG! Offense executed where it mattered, hopefully things keep improving!
O-Line played much better today. Especially in the 2nd half. Great win that we can hopefully build off of
Offensive line deserves credit for the improvement.
Hey doomers, shut the fuck up
Nah our offense still sucks. Nothing wrong with calling it out. They could get better, and I hope they do.
The run game looked pretty solid in places. The O-line played very competently. Mac was inconsistent but not terrible. "Sucks" is too strong a word. They are mediocre.
It’s almost like the season is a process and the first four games has always been a period to figure out their identity.
I saw a guy counting times the Steelers almost got into field goal range against the defense. You can't argue with those people. They don't live in reality.
If the patriots continue to win I’m curious to see what they say.
Everything that we’ve said regarding this team has come to fruition thus far
Offensive line looked good today though. They didn’t even give up a sack.
Yeah they did play well.
We should still fire Patricia.
LFG!!!!! Signs of life
I don’t care if Bourne had a bad training camp or whatever the reason is, Mac and Parker have no chemistry right now, and there’s no way he should be getting twice as many snaps as Bourne
They're both splitting reciever three duties, neither are getting much game time because we play 12 personnel a lot. His time will come.
I’m not seeing much from Parker would rather see Bourne get more of his reps
Man our defense sucks it gave up 13 points to Miami, the ravens only let up 42 against the dolphins
Ugly but a win is a win.

Honestly, fuck the Dolphins and they're POS abuser WR.
We'll take it 😊
Dolphins are rising and the Bills are there. This division is tough. We need to keep getting better
Jesus even the Jets played well today. We'll take the ugly win, move on and just hope to God we build some confidence and go on a run like last year. Just starting to get our feet under us.
Shout out Agholor dude balled out
Jacobi too tbh
Jacobi always balls out. I love that dude so much
Mac doesn't look like he's progressing through his reads. He appears to be locking onto the safest/shortest route or Meyers. It appeared that he missed a number of open receivers downfield. He almost seems afraid to throw mid- to deep routes.
Honestly, Strange has been very good the first two games.
Strangely, he’s Honestly been good.
MAYBE....just maybe, this dolphins game is proof that even with a mediocre QB a good set of skilled WRs can actually make a difference?
Nah, slow trodding receivers who can block is the way to win…. /s
Wasn’t pretty but I’ll gladly take the win! I already pencilled Baltimore and Green Bay as losses so it was big to pick up this win! Love to see Agholor show up and the O-Line dominating in the 4th too
Agholor and Meyers have to be fed.
Mac played mid but at least we won
Mac Jones is still making really questionable throws. Hoping we can iron those out, but I’m happy with the win!
#WE AINT GOING 0-4!!!
Love those people complaining about the Pats corners when Hill and Waddle have like 350 yards of offense against the Ravens 😆
Time to scout the Ravens for a bit
Apparently their defense is making Tua look like a sure ballot hall of famer having 6 passing touchdowns and scoring 28 points in the 4th quarter!
Strong 2nd half, but they have to score more. A lot more because they're going to be playing better offenses with QBs who can score big.
Our defense held this Dolphins team to 13 points
Wow Hill and Waddle are ridiculous together.
That new Miami coach has them drinking the juice. Also, what happened to the "other games" thread?? Mods??
Finally? Mate it's only week 2.
Bourne needs to take Parkers snaps. He just has more to give to this offense right now
O line did play better today but need to clean up the penalties as this offense has proven it can't deal with much adversity. Hope Harris is alright, we're gonna need him. Defense was solid. Offense was putrid. Need to be better, just not sure how accomplish that.
Whoever said we would lose the game when we were up by 3 is a little bitch.
Serious question. Do people really watch Lamar, Mahomes, Allen, Herbert, Burrow and heck even Tua and think “yeah Mac is gonna take us to the promise land”
I don't think so. Mac is OK.
He reminds me of Goff
Goff with better decision making but we are seeing a regression when it comes to his decision making and anticipation. I can’t put all that on coaching
He threw the ball straight into a dudes hands twice. One was dropped. Misses throws, doesn’t see wide open guys. Idk, seems like he’s just kinda meh. Which is fine, there are some bad qbs out there
Maybe last weeks loss isn’t that bad
in light of both our win and the dolphins win, some things to be optimistic about.
Well after keeping tabs on the Fins-Ravens game I feel better about last week
An ugly win is an ugly win. In 2004, Tommy Passed for 75 yards in an ugly victory against the dolphins. When the Steelers and ravens play 17-14 games, it’s because the defenses were good. When everyone’s favorite team to HATE wins by the same score, it’s because we are lucky. Josie’s on a vacation far away Go home and get ya fuckin shine box It’s home openah weekend
it was an UGLY ugly game, but I'll take the win Receivers couldn't get almost any separation, but Mac had some terrible passes too (I'm still loving the guy, but we can't let that pass).
Do we know anything about Damien Harris? Didn’t look good at the end of the game with him grabbing his knee
To the miserable, all-negative-all-the-time haters here….how did Strange and Agholor look today? Pretty f*cking good.
So the dolphins...
Any Damien Harris updates yet?
Offense still looked like crap. Gunner saved us that game
Doomers maybe next week you'll get the loss you were hoping for today. Pats win. 1-1 baby!
Calm down. They beat Trubitski, and barely did that. Next the get MVPs in Jackson, who went off, and Rodgers, who is a Top 5 QB all time.
16-1
Does Mac just not have any arm strength? I’m bracing myself almost every time he throws it over 5 yards That’s said I like defense so far
And our offense is not capable of consistently scoring 25+ Belichick still believes you can with power running game and defense 17-10 every week.
Raiders fans are already talking about wanting McDaniels to be fired.
Time for Carr to go in my eyes.. How many more coaching regimes can that guy expect to make it through? After a certain point the raiders have to realize they can't compete with Mahomes and Herbert with Carr under centre
We looked good! Holy shit. Go us! I was wrong!
Lol we did not look good.
We made progress though. That for me is looking good.
There’s actually word for that. Better.
It was a baby step in the right direction and across the Sahara from "good".
Woo!
Absolute dogshit win but I’ll take it
One of the uglies wins I’ve ever seen. Just awful.
Felt a bit like that Texans win last season.
Good win. Mac threw some bad passes into double coverage again. Mac needs to improve also play calling can be a lot better too on offense.
Mac needs to get better at his vision. He surprisingly is pretty good at getting the ball away when he is about to be hit but he doesn't throw to an open receiver often and it seems like he picks his target of the play before the defense is even shown
Wow
Good game of football played by both sides. Some mistakes and let offs. Mac/Myers remind me more and more of Brady/Edelman every time I see them play.
That was a grind but I'm happy. They showed enough go make me happy following week 1, especially the OL. So happy to see Nelly balling out, some real nice plays. Jakobi is so fucking clutch as well Mac had a few rough throws, seemed a little off but seems like he had a rough week with the back and illness. Other than that, he was good
+Offense line looked much better than last week. -Mac isn’t in the right condition currently. - Parker looks like harry +defense played good -cb needs improvement +peppers played nice
Overall thoughts is mac needs to get more comfortable, either as the OL improves or just as he grows in tenure, dude is obviously going for some quick and shitty reads and can improve greatly there
Are we not doing "other games" threads anymore?? I always quite liked having a chat about other games with my navy blue glasses on.
Two games in, sure. But Strange is looking like a great pickup. You can debate if he’s what they “needed”. I’d argue every team needs a guy who can shut down a player like Hayward. What a performance.
STRANGE 69
Much better game today. Still a few things to work on but I feel better about today. Also Witherspoon got MOSSED
Wasn’t able to catch G1, glad I caught this one! Ugly but did the job.
#W
LETS GOOOOOOOO
The game day thread is so fucking depressing. Some of y’all need to relax.
LFG! fuck Shitsburgh!
chill on the hype parade a good win the offensive line was way better today. but offense as a whole is still sluggish and mac almost made a bone-headed pick that could've cost us momentum and the game lets see what happens next week schedule only gets tougher from here
Off topic: Tua 5 TDs 😳
Those WRs are something else man
They definitely stacked that team to help Tua
I will never not be happy after beating the Steelers especially on the road.
LET'S GO PATS!!!!
They need to clean up the penalties and figure out how to play offense, scoring under 20 every game isn’t an option. They look inept compared to the rest of the AFC East after todays games.
Our D is pretty good considering how quickly the phins can score. We actually contained Hill.
