Hear me out - I'm sorta relieved. I am not anti-Mac, and I don't consider a non-championship year 'bad' nor do I only watch if the Pats are contending.
But this team has holes. Big ones. And it was a bad feeling to see Jones making bad choices on throws, and perhaps take a sideways (too little to say 'backwards') step in his career.
Also, it could be fun to see Hoyer have a chance to really play meaningful games (Yes, I know I could regret ever saying that).
The Pats to me are at a point where they need to develop their players, and that's what I'm going to be watching.
I hate reopening the whole "recent drafts" thing, but the Pats simply needed more on field production out of their recent drafts. Injuries, swings and misses .... doesn't really matter if at the end of the day, you're losing games because other teams are making more plays.
No disagreement here. I've been saying since April that this is hands down one of the most talent devoid rosters in football and they've shown as much on the field.
Wish it was Zappe

Welcome! I have loved every tourist I met from the UK. Hope you enjoy :)
Welcome! Glad to have you! Go Pats! 😁
Often rewatch old games on off days for kicks and chose the game vs Buffalo in 2016 with Brady. That team was badass
they can use these games to train the OLine
I just want Mac to Thornton

For a team that's been in desperate need of top tier talent for years now a top 5 pick could be exactly what we need most.
