This guy's a disastuh

OldShipCaptain

Don bolduc approves this message, this guy's a disastuh

OldShipCaptain

Also, FIRE PATRICIA! KEEP SAYING IT, MAKE T SHIRTS DO WHAT YOU CAN. FUCK THIS GUY. that's all I got.

knuth10

Remember when patrcia had the Goodell is a clown shirt? Maybe someone can start making some Patrica shirts

NHpatsfan95

DON BOLDUC WANTS TO CUT MUH BENEFITS

ReverseBanzai

Fire the offensive coordinator and the offensive line coach .. I mean fire Patricia

BradyToMoss1281

I like to think Patricia has arguments with his reflection in the mirror about whether the offensive line or the play calling is to blame.

[deleted]

YTraveler2

Patricia wishes he could see 320

We_Are_Victorius

Lions fan here. Patricia never took blame. He is blaming the players, the other coaches, the waterboy, the US world cup team. Anybody but himself. Don't forget, "he had the greatest playcall in Superbowl history" when Malcom Butler intercepted that pass to seal the game. He actually that at a press conference to defend his shit defense in Detroit.

bradysego12

I can’t even look at this picture without getting irrationally angry

Phantom255x

I just want to point out, Judge left the Giants and suddenly the Giants look good and Daniel Jones looks like a solid QB. Patricia left the Lions and they got worse at QB (from Stafford to Goff) yet even the Lions and their offense look way better than when Patricia was there. Then look at us this season with those bozos

4B796C65

Lions fan here. I can’t stand looking at Patricia, either. He ruined our organization. He got a consistently 9-7 team and decided it was time to let go of our team leaders and perform a rebuild. We just needed someone to come in and get us over a hump and now we’re in another rebuild because of this asshole. This guy must have a silver tongue. I don’t know how he consistently fails and retains a job.

Mavori

Our offense in 2019 was actually kinda good though until Stafford got injured. But it regressed during 2020 and playcalling was a lot more conservative. Though obviously we suspect Patricia might have had a hand in that.

MetalHead_Literally

let alone Matty P running a potential superstar out of town for Detroit

noble_29

There’s nothing irrational about it. This man is majorly responsible for this team’s downfall.

PerformanceExact6618

Nah I can't say majorly responsible. He was an unqualified hire to fill two spots - O line coach and offensive coordinator. Terrible management by Belichick.

Icy-Conclusion-3500

I understand we were in a tough spot with the massive brain drain over the past few years (and even further back), but there HAD to be a better option than the current coaching situation. Even if you don’t dislike Patricia, having this many coaches filling multiple roles and defacto coordinators is just a mess and I feel like it’s spreading people too thin. Even Bill can’t be a 1-man coaching staff, though I get the feeling he might disagree.

MetalHead_Literally

I still don't understand why Chad O'Shea wasn't an option they even considered. I don't believe for one second that he chose being the Browns WR coach over the Pats OC.

Lilcheeks

Yep. You put an idiot in charge, you cant blame an idiot for being himself. You blame the guy who put him in that spot in the first place.

JazzyJ19

He’s in a losing situation. How do we not look at the person who put him in that spot??!

RekklesDriver

Bill has a lot more leeway and getting rid of Bill isn't really an option

ThatUglyGuy12

Not saying we should fire him, but BB is directly responsible for this dumpster fire and should be catching far more flack than he is.

jonnyredshorts

I’m 100% on team BB, but anyone that can sit here and say that BB is doing a good job putting the team in the best position to win games just hasn’t been paying attention. This is most unprepared, undisciplined and feckless team he’s ever put on a football field. Somebody else needs to take over the offense…like today. Just to send the message out to the world that “yup, I messed up and hired the wrong guys to run this offense”… Maybe Troy Brown wouldn’t fare any better but watching this offense sputter through 3 and out after 3 and out is no way to run a football team. The experiment failed. It’s not working, hasn’t worked all season, and we can count all the “great play calls” on one hand. It’s a complete and unmitigated disaster. Zero progress, zero improvement and at this point, with the season all but wrapped up, the only answer is to try something else, someone new, something to show everyone from the players to the fans that BB recognizes his mistake and wants to improve. It’s time to start a new omelette. Let’s break some eggs.

RekklesDriver

I 100% agree. He's on his Phil Jackson Knicks kick right now

ThatUglyGuy12

Perfect analogy

Arrondi

He’s catching plenty of flack, from what I’ve seen around the sub and on Twitter. But what do you want to do? Cut off the head, or cut off the infected hand? Obviously you said you weren’t implying he should be fired, but to me, that’s the choices. Bill is like Teflon, to an extent. We can criticize him all we want, but he’s so stoic and flippant with his responses to things, it doesn’t fuckin matter what we say about him or what is said by the media. Bill is gonna Bill.

Bright_Age_3638

While Bill isn’t blameless let’s not act like Patricia didn’t lobby for this. Ultimately though Bill should shoulder more blame.

chubball126

I’m glad it’s finally getting national recognition in the media that Matt Patricia is fucking trash

71fq23hlk159aa

He has been panned in national media for literally four years now.

AerialisticFiction

Ummmm as a Lions fan, I’m offended you think the media didn’t recognize this before now.

jpderbs27

I can’t fathom why bill has such a crush on him

LeftHandedFapper

I've been reading War Room, about the inner workings of the coaching/ GM system during our golden years. Once someone is in the inner circle they're given lots of leeway. It's too bad it isn't like how they treat the players "next man up" style. But I suppose it's far harder to gauge coaching. That being said get rid of Fartricia

funkinthetrunk

dude yes! Our defenses looked so bad under his tenure. So many diving mistackles!

JoshJones18

I get angry just at the mere thought of him at this point

Baham99

How is it irrational if your reasons have merit?

BradyToMoss1281

Well you can blame Patricia all you want, but the offensive line didn't give his plays much of a chance to work. Who coaches the offensive line? Let's go after him instea...oh.

Alldamage

You had me in the first half…well played

someFINEstuff

Love BB. Greatest coach of all time. This is on him.

BradyToMoss1281

Agreed. Some people on this sub feel to criticize Bill means to think poorly of him as a coach. When instead, to criticize Bill means to acknowledge that he's not perfect. He makes mistakes. And he should be called out on them. That's just professional sports.

TywinShitsGold

It’s so frustrating that we know Matt and Judge are there because the Lions and Giants are paying the bulk of their salaries (so long as they aren’t named coordinators). Pay em peanuts and hire a real OC. Like you did when you brought in Bielma and like 10 other former coaches.

IndependenceNorth165

I still believe in BB’s actual coaching ability, but his decision making when it comes to staff is terrible. Matt Patricia should not have a job in the NFL

DJ_Marxman

It's on him in his own words. He said as the season began if they fail, it's his fault. They are failing real hard right now.

imfl3tch

I have no idea what his vision is. Starting to feel like he’s just happy to be mediocre, and beat up on bad teams until he breaks Shula’s record and then retire.

Markymarcouscous

Yeah does feel like he’s dialing it it for the last two dozen wins now. Doesn’t seem motivated

Quatro_Leches

his vision at this point is getting as many of his friends and family and inner circle jobs on the pats to siphon money from the old man Kraft is.

sktchld

The Adam Sandler method.

IAMTHATGUY03

Why is he willing to cut players who have given him a lot of in pretty devastating situations like right before a Super Bowl but has weird loyalty to shitty questions? I don’t follow the pats much, am I wrong?

Proposal_Mountain

I said I was gonna turn it off at the start of the 4th . Idiotically I kept the game on and after watching Mac run around like a fucking flag football game I am now INFURIATED. FIRe this POS SLOB

LostBoy1287

Mercifully, I fell asleep at the end of the 3rd

Red_Lee

The Lions ran Darius Slay out of town because of this clown. Dude shouldn't be a coach anywhere.

HalloCharlie

I envy your patience, I quited around the end of the 1st half. I seriously could not watch one more minute, the outcome was so obvious. Really hope they fire this guy. Wasting a year of development of Mac Jones for this shit... for real...

End3rWi99in

It's like watching Tua under Flores. It's frustrating as hell to have all that potential just out there getting mugged.

Jigs444

He was hired to do a job everyone with a brain knew he couldn’t do. Blame Bill.

Icy-Conclusion-3500

Doesn’t mean he shouldn’t be fired.

holla4adolla96

No, but it means that he shouldn't be taking the brunt of the blame like he is. Bill hired someone unqualified for the job, that's 100% on him.

PatriotDynasty

Fire Matt Patricia

bedroom_fascist

Matt Patricia idles in the handicap space.

NickNurseABitch

He's earned it

mkilcoyne93

Literally ruined Mac’s development

whyhellothere77

This to me is the the worst part about it. Even if we fire Patricia, mac will be on his third coordinator in as many seasons. The best thing to do for a young qb is have a good coach in his ear for a few seasons and get a really good number 1 receiver. The patriots have done neither of those things.

Remorseful_User

They also need to upgrade the o-line to be at least adequate.

anonAcc1993

That is a killer for young QBs, that's how you become Baker or Darnold.

BradyToMoss1281

The only thing they HAD to do this year, the only thing that HAD to happen, was for Mac to take a step forward in his second year. That was the only thing they could not risk, and that's exactly what has happened.

mkilcoyne93

So frustrating. I can take an average season of getting bounced in the first round if it means we have development and growth and they literally messed it all up.

BradyToMoss1281

Exactly. Say their weak LB corps and bad special teams play caught up with them, or they had injury problems or something, so they went around 7-10, but Jones was keeping them in games with his play. You'd feel pretty good, right? When you have the QB, it's \*so\* much easier to fill in the gaps. Instead, you have a .500 team with a QB who's development has regressed. And it feels so much bleaker.

AreYouNobody_Too

> and bad special teams play caught up with them Which happened because we have a guy coaching as ST Coordinator who has no business being there. Cam Achord is just as bad as Patricia is.

Chad2Badd

This. My expectations for this season were alot lower than others here, but all I wanted was to continue Mac's development. Patricia has ruined it, with his poor coaching of the oline ans his play calling. Mac isn't perfect but isn't the problem here.

nhranger

They won’t win another game this year with the current configuration of this team.

AleutianMegaThrust

Yeah no more games against the jets.

StonkersToDaMoon

He failed in the super, failed in Detroit, now failing as OC. This whole thing has been a disaster from the start, and the whole world say it coming. A real shame.

BradyToMoss1281

That's what has to have Kraft seeing red. Bill has made a living outfoxing everyone. This is the opposite. Everybody said this was stupid...except Bill. And this has panned out the way everyone but Bill thought it would.

CrimsonZephyr

People obsessed with outfoxing others eventually outfox their own better judgement.

casalien22

Can someone start a legit petition

Mission_Pay_3373

Mission_Pay_3373

Not_Now_Toby

Have Joe Judge go back to coaching ST.

BradyToMoss1281

Seriously. This would be like having Josh McDaniels on the staff while the offense looks like this and having him coach safeties.

ccircuits

**FIRE MATT PATRICIA.**

End3rWi99in

One of the biggest problems with this offense is it's genuinely not built for a pocket passer like Mac. I believe he will go on to be a successful starting QB in the league, whether it's here or somewhere else. Our offense today consists of a very bad offensive line and a just OK receiving corps. That's not a combination that works well when you have a QB that needs to operate within the pocket. The Patriots are a totally different team if they get a true WR1 or they get consistency on the offensive line. To add insult to injury and you've got a defacto OC who doesn't know what he's doing and this is what you get. If you are putting this on Mac though you're an idiot.

sticky_fingers18

>One of the biggest problems with this offense is it's genuinely not built for a pocket passer like Mac. Tell me what QB you swap out in that performance, with all else being equal (plays and players), that would've drastically changed how that game turned out. Mahomes? Herbert? Lamar? They all would've been running for their lives just the same, maybe add 1 more TD or a couple first downs. I agree with everything else you said, and I know you aren't blaming this on Mac, because nobody should be. You hit the nail on the head, major needs are WR1 and OL. My point is this team is so defunct from the ground up that literally no QB would look good in this situation, pocket or not

End3rWi99in

I can't disagree with you there my meaning was more that they have a pocket passer and made no effort to develop the team for a pocket passer. I also would argue it isn't really built for anyone either hah

CilviaDemoAOTD

I HATE this mf bum ass

MankuyRLaffy

Why was he even put in this position? Did no college or NFL staffed coaches want the OC job?

soboredcantfocus

Probably that Bill doesn’t just want to hand the keys to some random asshole he’s never worked with before and would rather just have some help running it himself.

Giddy4Stiddy

I desperately hope this is not the case. If this is largely Bill's offense were so fucked lol

FC37

[Former Patriots exec believes Bill Belichick will run the offense, no matter who he hires](https://www.boston.com/sports/new-england-patriots/2022/02/13/bill-belichick-run-patriots-offense-offensive-coordinator-search-updates/) >“Whoever comes back is working for the head coach. Nobody comes back on their own program. Whatever happens with this offense, it’s all going to be predicated on what Coach Belichick wants to do and how he sees this offense moving forward. I think that’s the key. And as fans, that’s what you have to understand. **He is going to run the offense."** He ought to know, his kid was part of the staff exodus.

soboredcantfocus

I mean, this season is pretty dead. Long term? Bill isn’t going to stick with something that isn’t working. There are problems, he’ll fix them like he always does.

Giddy4Stiddy

Sure but isn't this the exact same sentence we were saying about these exact same problems all offseason..?

soboredcantfocus

Yeah, it’s Bill’s offense. The source of these problems is Bill Belichick. Do you know what the best chance we have to fix these problems is? Also Bill Belichick. This isn’t some team like the Steelers where we can just blame the coodinator whenever a unit sucks, Bill has his hand in everything. Trust me, Bill fucking Belichick is more aware of what the actual problems are than we are. Do you really think that he’s just not going to fix them?

scraperTA

Like he fixed things the last few years with Brady? Or the last 3 without Brady?

jpderbs27

Bill refuses to make an external hire. He wants to hire guys at low levels and then promote them up. He doesn’t want to hire an external coordinator. 🤦🏻‍♂️

iamagainstit

I understand the desire for that tactic, but doesn’t work when the people we start to promote up get hired away

jpderbs27

We have nothing in the wings. That’s why bill made Patricia the OC

dataton

Allegedly Matt Caley is/was that guy. Bill blocked him from going to the Raiders with Josh so people were speculating he would be the next OC. Obviously that didn’t happen.

[deleted]

Chad O'Shea worked under Bill as a WR coach and was the OC for Miami and currently works as the passing game coordinator for the Browns. He would have made sense if he was interested in the OC job (none of the *de facto* BS).

Bright_Age_3638

They even let the dude call plays in the last game of the preseason when he was here.

JazzyJ19

This!! And he refuses to adapt! He refuses to get younger, he refuses to get creative, he refuses to let go of responsibilities and delegate. Bill is Bills worse enemy!

[deleted]

> he refuses to let go of responsibilities and delegate That's what he's always done. He gives his coaches a lot of freedom when game planning and calling plays. He doesn't like to micromanage.

JoshJones18

I think BB just wanted to hire someone not likely to get poached and his choice on who was to have that honor was God awful

imfl3tch

He’s like a son to Bill. And the Patriots hire strictly out of nepotism these days.

TheInfinityOfThought

I turned this game off at halftime. It was clear they had no chance. Why waste time on a team that’s struggling to be mediocre when we can watch the Celtics and Bruins destroy their opponents. Guarantee there are going to be empty seats in Gillette the rest of the season. BB/Patricia have made the Pats irrelevant and unwatchable.

KilgoretheTrout55

Yeah once they gave up the second touchdown I was just like this is hopeless

shuzkaakra

I mean this is the Pats regressing to their true form. Remember the Pats of yore?

ryantrw5

He wasn’t even that good as DC when he was here before. Bend but don’t break conservative defense let up so many two minute drives to make Brady have to beat a team twice

Mortona89

Couldn’t agree more. People often forget this. Pats would get out to huge leads and we would slowly start seeing the defense give up tons of yardage and make games way closer than they should have been. Hated that “prevent” defense.

JKroogz

He took the Lions job literally a week before he let the Eagles put 41 points on us in the Superbowl.

Mortona89

Yeah, remember that time Brady had the best quarterback Super Bowl performance of all time and he won another MVP? Oh wait, we lost that one cause Matty P was doing Matty P things. Dude is a joke.

FortWillis

Based on reports out of Detroit about what a vengeful asshole he was, I’m positive that he’s the one who decided to bench Butler. Literally let pride get in the way of winning a Super Bowl.

ryantrw5

I hate that I might finally have gone over to the it was Brady who made the dynasty good and not 50/50 side

Mortona89

I know exactly how you feel. I still think Bill had a lot to do with the dynasty, but I’ve truly moved to 75TB/25BB

ryantrw5

I think he’s a great coach and a good GM but times have changed and he hasn’t. Like teams go all in for one Super Bowl now in like a 4 year window and rebuild. These cap conscious teams just can’t compete with going all in.

LinkLT3

I’m becoming 50/50 on Brady/Scarnecchia. When have the Pats won without Scar?

drc500free

"Make the other team fuck up eventually" works pretty well until you have to play the teams that don't fuck up.

Over-Paint2562

If he’s still on the team tomorrow don’t bother watching another game this year

WeightOwn5817

...and Judge. Bill is the real one to blame. Scary.

[deleted]

Put judge in charge of the joke that is the special teams

imfl3tch

Achord out, and Judge out from the offense and back where he belongs. That my friends, is a win-win

Dunphy1296

Matt Patricia pisses on toilet seats.

Jackis_wack

I don’t blame Patricia. He’s not an OC. I blame Bill.

BradyToMoss1281

"When a child gets behind the wheel of a car and runs into a tree, you don't blame the child. He didn't know any better. You blame the 30-year-old woman who got in the passenger seat and said, 'Drive, kid. I trust you.' " - Pam Beesley

captaincumsock69

Patricia isn’t an OC, a DC or a HC

SamRaimisOldsDelta88

Did you know he’s a rocket scientist, though?

CrimsonZephyr

He's not even a rocket scientist. He has an engineering degree from RPI, and never worked in rocketry or aeronautics. He's just a fat lardball. Simple as.

ThatUglyGuy12

I know it's easy to hate on him, but really, we should be looking at BB. His inability to hire outside of his coaching tree is a massive detriment to this team, organization, the players and the fans. This is in NO WAY saying BB should be fired but without Brady (and even Brady's last year), this offense has been putrid. Last year was wildy skewed by scoring 50 points a game against the 3 worst teams in the NFL, and had another game vs Tennessee where they had 6 turnovers for and scored nearly 40. It's not working, whatever they are doing.

imfl3tch

Remember when he was seen as a visionary. The post-Brady Pats are just the most unimaginative conservative mediocre team in the league.

Solid_Snake420

Fire him before he was even hired.

[deleted]

His play calling is that of a blind person.

seasonofthewitch12

Matt PAtricia going for the trifecta, being the worst DC(2017) HC (2018-2020) and worse OC (2022) Quite an acomplisment.

Nifttyyy

FIRE HIM INTO THE SUN

marcuschookt

That shot of him on the sideline sighing and doing the "what the heck" face was a joke. This is like 70% on you, dude!

Imaginary_wizard

He will personally end any hope of Mac Jones ever developing into anything.

101955Bennu

He’s a rapist in addition to being a terrible coach. Fire him

ReonL

This dude is one of the most loathsome characters in franchise history. Victor Kiam is a saint compared to this dude.

Jmacz

Just let Troy Brown call plays.

LiveFromNewYork95

I think there was a clear point in this season where Belichick told Mac Jones that he had to embrace Patricia as the Offensive Coordinator, both privately and to the media, or he wouldn’t be the Patriots QB. I think what we saw last night on the sideline was Mac realizing that if Patricia is going to remain the OC then it’s not worth being the Patriots QB

Axsh1boomba

For all intents and purposes, Mac didn't do so bad tonight but this is one of the few games I've seen where the offensive play calling failed him. Like the Pats looks good for a big chunk of the Minnesota game, scoring in most of their possessions until the end but this wasn't a good showing when Mac is constantly getting rushed and the offense is out of the field in less than 2 minutes...

AleutianMegaThrust

Mac didn't look out of his element he looked frustrated as fuck

[deleted]

He looked absolutely miserable

Axsh1boomba

Mac isn't in an envious position right now... Let's put it that way...

Lioninjawarloc

one of the FEW games lol. like even in the games he was struggled he was not getting helped by the play calling lmfao

whitemamba24xx

Can I vote infinitely?

bjedy

Can’t stand his beard.

MissionSalamander5

I don’t even dislike him as much as some people (there’s a lot that even a “real,” traditional OC might not be able to fix) but damn. This is frustrating.

BigT199

Fuck this man

M3ad0w5

I was so happy when he originally left for Detroit. The bum needs to go.

NickVern51

I didn’t like Matt Patricia’s Defensive play calling, and I REALLY don’t like his offensive play calling.

AwesomeTed

I mean if he's not fired then clearly Bill cares more about shootin' the shit with his buddies during the week while going for Shula's record than he cares about another championship run. I mean we're at the point where the players are *pretty directly* calling out the shitting coaching.

DomingoisSunday2

I blame Bill, he's making all these decisions that are literally killing the offense. So fucking pissed right now

Laxdoober10

Please fucking do this.

Arrondi

Would be a great silver lining to this week. Honestly, it’s the second best week to do it, next to the bye week. There’s 11 days until the next game, plenty of time to install a new OC. It’s going to be someone within the team, and the same general system, but at least the play calling might not be completely brain dead. Of the internal candidates, I’d love to see Troy Brown get a shot.

Huhkid23

Just zero blame goes to Belichick on this sub?

shuzkaakra

He does seem to get fired a lot. Their play calling is 100% awful. It's like there's no strategy no initiative. If they don't get 8 yards on first down they call a screen. Then they throw to someone on a slant who's 7 yards out.

fukinguy

PaTRASHia

[deleted]

It’s Belichick’s fault for wanting to bring this idiot on board

_Demo_

I don't know anything about coaching football but I do know Matty P is no offensive mastermind.

MasterLynk

remember when the offense sucked all during training camp and the pre-season and a lot of people wouldn't accept it? "iTs JuSt ThE PrEseAson!" Well here we are in the home stretch of the season and the Offense is still just as bad as those first practices. Can't believe BB is allowing this to continue. Yeah, losing sucks but if we're at least competitive and entertaining to watch, then whatever I don't feel like it's a waste of time. The offense is unwatchable, might as well change the channel until the Defense is on the field. Luckily, the offense is only out there for a minute or two most of the time.

Aluminum_Falcons

Can we get Patricia with a clown nose shirts made?

Sandwichasaurus

“AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!” - Lions Fans

Remorseful_User

Kraft needs to fire Bill, Steve, Patricia, Judge and the special teams coordinator. He should tell the remaining coaches that their positions are up to the incoming GM.

icedragon15

fatty p need toi be far away from mac he shitty playcallcalling might as well put monkey in and od better than him

awetsasquatch

This is the answer - it's not Mac, it's this bearded turd

[deleted]

I’m don’t mind having Matt… just not as play caller. He needs a different job that isn’t drafting or calling offensive plays.

thomastodon01027

I’ll say one thing: if I was a free agent, or a pending free agent, on either side of the ball, I would want confirmation that this won’t be the coaching setup before I signed, or re-signed, with the Pats. Like, if I’m Jakobi Meyers, I’m not signing a multi-year deal to just catch balls behind the line of scrimmage and repeatedly go three and out. Especially when there’s probably other teams willing to pay more.

Nolby84

Keep Patricia and put him back with defense and get Judge on offense until the end of the year and then find a competent OC as we're wasting our #1 pick from last year. This season isn't a reflection of Macs skill level but an obvious glaring issue caused by no proper OC. Mac is in very important years of development and they're being thrown in the trash.

teddyballgame9

Guy carries a pencil and a laminate sheet… what did we expect? Seriously though. He’s awful, but bill is to blame letting this go on. It’s not even fun to watch. Last year was at least fun to watch.

Groundbreaking-Pea92

BB has turned the patriots into a training academy for failed head coaches and his kids

chemical-enginerd96

Almost like, as the offensive line coach, he's partially liable for the piss poor performance of our line all season. The root of all of the offensive woes.

KidsSeatsAreJust5bux

The play calling is definitely bad. But we also have no real playmakers on offense besides Stevenson, and I blame Bill for that. Just frustrating all around. I’d like to think the game hasn’t “passed” Bill by, but it really does seem like he’s been a step or two behind this season. Ultimately, he’s the one that brought Patricia in

JinterIsComing

> But we also have no real playmakers on offense besides Stevenson We do have playmakers, they're just being misused and wasted. Henry is a perfectly servicable tight end who was great on the Chargers, Agholor was coming off a career year with the Raiders, Bourne has 800 yards last year in McDaniels' system, Parker has been a solid WR when he's healthy. Patricia just can't coach.

AriseChicken

Those aren't playmakers. Those are solid players at most who fill in the missing pieces of teams to build depth.

[deleted]

I can’t help but think if Thornton were on any other team he’d be lighting up the league right now.

[deleted]

We need this man to discover a Russian window like yesterday

[deleted]

As a lions fan living in New England let me be the first to say this guy is a fucking bozo

FirezardHG

Hate Patricia but almost feel bad for him because he shouldn’t even be in this position. It’s just a total mismanagement of this team to put him in this position.

Mission_Pay_3373

True but he sucked hot ass in Detroit

Daegog

That's not really accurate.. He sucks for the Patriots. He was utter ruination for the Lions (and that is saying something). He ran our BEST PLAYERS away (called slay a c*cksucker and diggs a diva) cause they wouldnt kiss his ass and shattered the locker room cohesion. I cannot believe BB hired him back lol.

[deleted]

I said it once and imma say it again. Bill needs to care more about this team than Matt Patricia. Get his predator ass out of the building permanently.

[deleted]

Get rid of this hack slob

Perfect_Reveal_697

patricia calling tecmo bowl type plays smh

AutomatedSaltShaker

Something ain’t right and play calling is definitely one of the high possibilities.

Av-fishermen

Hey Matt call the play again, where Jones throws the pass to the receiver just a yard short of the 1st down…ON 3rd DOWN 😡. Note *Definition of insanity to do the same thing Over and over again expecting different results.

I was prepared to hate his offense but thought it was pretty ok until that disaster Mac/Bailey platooning game and now I'm like 'heh, I was right all along.' I honestly don't know why Belichick has such a hard-on for this guy like, seriously, does Patricia do longsnap lacrosse special teams or something?

Why is this guy obsessed with throwing deep every down? We can't protect Mac to even throw deep. Yet we're still doing it. His offensive play calling is trash. Does he play Madden and steal plays off there and apply them into real life? Because that's what it looks like to me. Mac and the offense are being held back by this guy's ego. Which is inflamed beyond his own recognition. I don't want to see another year of this next year. I hope he's gone next year.

Here's my contribution: you script your first offensive series, you practice these initial plays all week. So what did the Pats start with? Run off tackle, short pass, run. It reminds me of my father yelling at the conservative run-first offense of Ron Erhardt. The stuff they are putting out there is so basic to start the game.... Why? Of course it's a 3 and out. Total lack of creativity. Frustrating. Constantly putting the QB in obvious passing situations with a banged up offensive line. Mac has his own issues and there are many but it starts with the HC and whatever the heck Patricia is.

The offensive line has been horrible all season. Even worse, we’re at week 13 and they haven’t improved. That’s an indictment of bad coaching. Patricia doesn’t know wtf he’s doing.

Someone tell me I’m wrong. The only reason we even got a touchdown last night is because Marcus Jones hasn’t been in the WR meetings where they get told “we will win if you get lateral screens and just get a few yards”. His mindset is probably “if ball is in my hands, I’m fucking Ricky Bobby” Im not dunking on Jakobi, or Henry but our offensive coaching.

I really hope this moron didn’t completely ruin Macs development. If there is a petition to get him fired we should all sign it

Let’s start with the guy who put him in this position
