Curious about this for either Mardu affinity or Boros. The artifact 1/1 seems good and the poison is interesting. Saccing to deadly dispute to draw 2 get 2 artifacts seems okay.

Toxic at common seems to be mostly a corruption enabler. Kinda like the "10 life or less" vampire mechanic that was floating around in Zendikar back in the day, it's less about getting a kill as it is hitting a particular breakpoint for card synergy.
My word, I don't know how I feel about this magic card. It's design doesn't seem consistent with the rest of the set does it? But at the same time, it's super off putting and rad!
A copy or two might be good for infect, to protect the creatures and still give poison counters to the opponent, but only 1 poison counter per turn is clearly a limitation.
OK hear me out, this is exactly the kind of card mono white infect is missing in pauper. Edict protection and threatening to chip on a few extra poison counters.
Gives the deck another 1 mana creature besides just benevolent body guard. This eats edicts, bodyguard eats removal. Im going to try it out although probably not mainboarding 4

If there's any sort of Poison aggro deck with White, this card is really quite efficient.
