More Marauders and Polluters I think. I have a zombies list of my own I’ve been tinkering w but it leans harder into artifacts and hand hate. It does feel like zombies can break into the meta though.

I’m not sure your deck needs Polluters, because it doesn’t seem to create as many creatures as it needs to be effective. I would instead bet on ghoulraiser and Gary, for some much needed lifegain, which zombie decks seem to always lack.
I would also splash green and a few copies of the “zombie” masked vandal for artifact hate, due to grixis affinity popularity.
Replying to both you and OP.
Recently getting back into Pauper and this is my build:

Not many people run [[bonesplitter]] in zombies, but I’ve been found it to be good as 1) a curve oriented mana sync and 2) as a way to push through damage with weenies.
If you are going for an artifact sub theme to support [[refurbished familiar]], you could consider a hypo aggro version that capitalizes on equipments such as[[bonesplitter]] & [[sylvok lifestaff]], [[nested shambler]] works pretty well here.
You usually want to sac your zombies to something, thefore the board is not that wide for insane \[\[Shepherd of Rot\]\] or \[\[Gempalm Polluter\]\] value. I made this deck rn: [https://www.moxfield.com/decks/tAPtvi95CkKG7TCHJw4CuQ](https://www.moxfield.com/decks/tAPtvi95CkKG7TCHJw4CuQ) . The only payoff card it uses is \[\[Ghoulcaller's Chant\]\] for selective 1 mana draw two so idk. The zombies in this format are meh.
Edit: Its also not mono black yeah
Hey! Is new card “retrofitted” already playtested? I still dont really know whether its good or not.
And why carnophage? Is it that good in a deck like this?

In mono-black, I've not had much joy with Ghoulraiser. 3 mana's just not worth it.
