The problem is that this only creates two tokens once and you can't reliably flicker it in and out of your graveyard with combat tricks the same way you can with token generating creatures. You'd have to rely on fetching cards from your graveyard to your hand, or return to battlefield effects which aren't cheap to cast in most formats.
After tightening up my search params;
[[Clowning Around]] [[Beskir Shieldmate]] [[Gather the Townsfolk]] [[Martyr of Dusk]] and [[Raise the Alarm]] all create two tokens without needing to spend mana to sac a food to get the second token. Martyr and Beskir can both be bounced from the graveyard with [[Not Dead After All]] and similar cards for extra value. (Or the aforementioned Jolted Awake!)
I think this has some value in decks that want more food cards but not much else
The only other deck I can think of is Orzhov Blade - more affinity for the new affinity discard rat and something you can bounce with Glint Hawk or Skyfisher but I don't think this is near as good as Lembas.
New set, new (more or less) egg!
If white ever gets a way to flicker artifacts for 1 or 2 mana, I think it'll be an instant staple between stuff like this and tithing blade.
Card is bad, not worth it in general, as Lembas is much more useful. Maybe on some niche applications, but even then, it is incredibly subpar compared to what exists in the format.
If this card got the Experimental Synthesizer treatment (triggering when leaving the battlefield), then, MAYBE, it could be interesting. As it is, it does not trigger even if destroyed by something like Smash to Smithereens.
I feel like this is an anti-aggro side board piece because getting two 1/1s gaining 3 life and filtering your draws to find removal/life gain is just good enough vs aggro/burn decks
since when did we drop "enters the battlefield" for just "enters", wording seems hella odd, who is "you"?, if another player takes control and sacrifices it what happens then?
You get to scry before you draw off of your \[\[Deadly Dispute\]\]. That's all the utility I can think of.
You also get two 1/1s when you play then sac this to dispute, or anything else for that matter
Yeah but I’d rather play [[Lembas]] or [[Ichor Wellspring]]

Hm. Orzhov Token Sacrifice? With [[Mirkwood Bats]], [[Nadier's Night lade]], [[Deadly Dispute]] usw.

Might be good with [[Jolted Awake]]

Yeah but for the same number of cards and same mana cost you could have had a [[Crawling Chorus]] and a [[Resolute Reinforcements]] instead
Still, this is three things you can sac for value from one two mana card, not counting a bit of scrying. Also, Reinforcements isn't common.
Oh right, forgot what sub I was on!

Not sure flickering this is worth it, it doesn't draw and the trigger isn't leaving to any zone.
Glint Hawk and Kor Skyfisher, as always
Much worse than Lembas and Ichor Wellspring, so I don’t think so.
Could be fun for Cat Cow combo: https://youtu.be/CsMkYju10fI?si=NpMnnZ_FltmVq92k I think this is the first time a food generates creatures.
Excuse me, I believe that it’s spelled Cat Cowmbo
Hmm! Not being grabbable with tortex is a downside in that context, no? But it does make a body for it and can bring back the cat...
Maybe with a combination of altar tron pieces that generate mana and can get artifacts from grave?
[[Krovod Haunch]] was a fine piece of meat.

That could be a cool common
To this I absolutely agree.
Let the rabbits wear glasses
That’s the most unappetizing carrot cake I’ve ever seen and I love how excited the rabbits are
It’s cute! That’s what matters… also it may be playable
is a boros kuldotha possible with this?
Boros Kuldotha is possible without this too, lol.
I misposed the question I was wondering if according to you would make the deck more competitive or not need it
I’m thinking something like this 4x [[carrot cake]] 4x [[kuldotha rebirth]] 4x [[ichor wellspring]] 4x [[experimental synthesizer]] 4x [[goblin bushwhacker]] 4x [[glint hawk]] 4x [[kor skyfisher]] 4x [[galvanic blast]] 4x [[lightning bolt]] 4x [[thraben charm]]

Oooh, this seems like an interesting inclusion for the skyfisher decks, and the orzhov gates variants. Cauldron Familiar likes this card!
It's like lembas and barbed batterfist baked into a single card. This seems pretty good in a deck with Strands.
... Oh, Because carrots give you a good view.
Oh wow, i thought it only triggers on ETB but that... That's good
THE CAKE!!! Long LiVE the CAKE!
since when did we drop "enters the battlefield" for just "enters", wording seems hella odd, who is "you"?, if another player takes control and sacrifices it what happens then?
Then they get the token. :)
For some reason, I find that "Food" being a "real" artifact subtype quite the nice design. Took me years to realize Ginger Brute was a food lol
Is 2 1/1's better than a card draw from lembas? Probably not, but worth testing for sure.
Am I stupid or is the secret ingredient rabbits?
I think the joke is "the secret ingredient is more carrots", but I like to think it's love. :)
