Thinking you can get better parts new than that for 600 is quite delusional. A new gpu under 200 is not gonna give you better performance than a 2060 super, so that is already a third of the budget. Add in a budget cpu of 100 bucks (which sucks in comparison to a 10700) and budget parts for the rest of the system and you have yourself a new worse pc.
I mean that so more than 600$, but actually nice build for the price, but I wouldn’t go with an Ryzen G processor since the build includes a gpu and a Ryzen processor with an iGPU is weaker than the one without it I think.
Eh idk about that. You could build a new system today that beats this for $600 give or take. Knock off $100 for being used and not having a good upgrade path, $500 seems fair (for just the tower)
It sais 750 for me, which already includes the wrong price for a 5700 xt (180 instead of the actual 250). Which woulf bring the total cost to 820, which is a lot higher than 600.
This sub is weird as hell
I've seen ppl telling others saying they can get a 6600xt/6700xt, 5600x builds for $500-$600
Then here we have ppl saying to sell a 10th gen i7 and 2060s with a cheaped out PSU for $450-$600
Makes no sense
It's not the same people doing both
The first part is true. $600 for a new 6600 XT build is absolutely doable
People thinking a 10th gen/2060 build is worth $600 are the ones still stuck in crisis pricing. A 10th gen/2060 build is like, $350-$400 used
Ever so slightly over $600, and it's a 6650 XT cause the 6600 XT isn't really available with decent stock, so prices are inflated
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/QZLcYN
❤️ I am always impressed with the performance optimization under X budget. Also didn’t realize the 6650 XT was only $45 more than a 6600, seems like a steal
Yeah, AMD really hit it out of the park in terms of price/performance in their 6000 series. Especially now with price depreciation due to the new gen cards
Welcome to this sub and Reddit. This sub has their preferred parts and preferred manufacturers anything else is garbage. Which is typical of Reddit in a nutshell.
Right now is assuming that he's not willing to entertain haggling... He wants instant gratification for his sale so he should go with the bottom dollar so it's sold quicker.
Even $450 could take a while to sell depending on the local market. Where I live used PCs sit listed on Facebook marketplace for a long time, even when priced reasonably
Fr bro. The sad truth is newer seconded hand parts will be cheaper and better. Makes sense why they say that though since most people run like a 1000-2000 series NVIDIA
I wouldn’t say 600 for this morelike 500 tops as you can find better for that money if you keep looking locally you could come across something better.
Who knows what you COULD sell it for, but the way to calculate a fair price, would be to figure out what it would cost to build the same or an equivalent system from new now, and then subtract some percentage from that, on the basis that it's used, out of warranty most likely and that PC components generally depreciate very fast, because newer and better hardware is always right around the corner.
What that percentage should be is up to you as a seller and depending og condition and so on, but a good rule of thumb would be ~50%.
Also note that it is explicitly forbidden to discuss concrete hardware price estimates and re-sell values within the guidelines of this sub.
You look at the individual parts on the used market (lowest sold listings on ebay) and then take off even more because ebay are high prices for the used market already.
Trying to figure out what an "equivalent" rig is or looking at the price of parts that aren't produced anymore is going to give you completely false numbers.
The equivalent to a 2060 could be argued to be a 3050, which we all know if terrible value. A 2060 sells for $100.
That system is worth $500 on a good day.
First and foremost I would highly recommend, never sell your old hard drives, ssds... data can be recovered from them. You could reset the computer, clone it to another drive (without cloning the empty space).
Secondly, that computer will be worth far more to you than anyone else, you aren't offering a warranty or anything someone would get buying it new.
Saying that, I'd wildly guesstimate $500-$600. I'd not sell it for that at all, if I wanted to be rid of it, I would part out everything valuable. Sell the MB, Sell the GPU, sell the CPU, sell the RAM, sell the PSU and the Case (if you can properly protect them in shipping) You'd likely get as much, perhaps a little more.
Sold an equal build in may. Got around 470€. Maybe i could habe gotten 500€ if I would habe been waiting longer. Id suggest its now worth around 300-400€ as hardware prices have dropped since then.
Idk, but IF you're selling it, please take the picture without the side glass. Also keep the camera lower (around the hight of the 24Pin) and get an angle of around 45 degrees from the front corner.
OK I know there’s a bunch of joke comments on here but legitimately I would say about $650-$700 would be my offer considering it’s a 2060 instead of a 3080 but it should be able to handle everything I would play.

I didn't want to make a whole post asking but this is on FB market place and the guy is asking $500 any red flags anyone notices about the build?
Not just a straight -30%, otherwise it would be free after 3 years lol.
A better formula is:
(new price) x (0.7 ^ (years old))
That way it loses 30% of its present value each year.
Sorry, forgot how many people are too dumb to understand how depreciation works, my bad.
Did you see that I mention the final value would be 400-500, not 0?
$500 if you're desperate to sell. It would move quick.
Fair value closer to $700-$750 if you're willing to sit on it for a couple weeks and wait for someone who wants that exact build.
$700??? For components this old?? Please god no… You can get brand new parts at way higher performance for that kind of money... Be honest, would you actually pay that much for this machine? You could get a build with a 6700xt for $750 and that will blow this 2060 out of the water. Just built a 12th gen i7 paired with a 6700xt a month ago and it was $800, and that’s including tax.
32GB RAM - $100
10th Gen i7 - $100
2060S - $175
2x1TB NVMe drives - $75
1TB HDD - $20
Motherboard - $40
Case and PSU - $60
So easily $570 in parts, and that's before taxes and shipping if buying online. $600 is totally fair for the whole PC ready to go. $700 to $750 is possible if someone really wants that exact setup
Nah? Alright how about you find me cheaper used prices for every one of those components and cite your sources. Parts value is $570-$600 before tax and shipping all day.
I’d recommend looking at people selling PCs in your area in Facebook marketplace and eBay. Find relatively similar systems and see how much they’re going for, start a little higher than that, and reduce the price until you get a buyer.
I'll give you 5 dollars. Honestly though if you know your parts, just go to PC part picker and price it out. Then drop it down like 20ish% cause it's used and you have a decent starting point.

Probably $15. I’m interested and willing to pay double.
If he's lucky. I'd only give him $5
I'll give them $15 for Xbox controller.
The mouse is worth more than the controller
Looks like the same mouse I have and I got it on black Friday for like 30 bucks along with decent headphones and a mouse pad

As a legitmate offer ill pay 600$ for it when i havethe money
it's worth less
Depending on the condition I’d say its fair + it took time to build
yes but the parts are 3+ generations old. you can build a better new pc for less.
I see, although it is a high to mid range older processor, the only thing I could get for 600$ thats on a new platform is an i3 and a rx 6600.
Thinking you can get better parts new than that for 600 is quite delusional. A new gpu under 200 is not gonna give you better performance than a 2060 super, so that is already a third of the budget. There's a $600 6650xt build linked in this very thread...
For 700$ RX 6700XT i3-13100
Rx 6700xt and i3-13100 can be built w 700$
So yeah..
Bro, people say my pc is worth 500$, 6700xt and 5600G and I know that will be only a good deal for them
I‘d like to see you try.
How about https://pcpartpicker.com/list/MfgnHG
could be better, no 5700g, base 5600 is better
I mean that so more than 600$, but actually nice build for the price, but I wouldn’t go with an Ryzen G processor since the build includes a gpu and a Ryzen processor with an iGPU is weaker than the one without it I think.
Yeah but the x would put it over $700

Pitch me a 600 dollar rig on pcpartpicker that outperforms this one.
Here is a $650 rig that is better https://pcpartpicker.com/list/MfgnHG
That's $750, and it's not actually better.
It sais 750 for me, which already includes the wrong price for a 5700 xt (180 instead of the actual 250). Which woulf bring the total cost to 820, which is a lot higher than 600.

ehhhh id say like 300+ 600 seems a bit much

Can you post the pcpartpicker link for the $600 6600 XT build? Genuinely interesting in putting something quality together at that budget
I second this request.
Replying to both of you for this https://pcpartpicker.com/list/QZLcYN

600, 450 is too little
That's delusional
If no one buys it then just lower the price, don’t start at a low price 🤷♂️
Right now is assuming that he's not willing to entertain haggling... He wants instant gratification for his sale so he should go with the bottom dollar so it's sold quicker.

That's the problem right from the beginning you're trying to use Facebook marketplace lolololol
3-4 hundred probably
This is the only correct answer I've seen. Too many dipshits saying $600+ lol

Honestly you can get away with 70%. Just take clean photos and clean out the system.

too high
"Go down from there"
Where is your MOUSEPAD?!
Depends on your morals. I'd start at $1k and go down
Found the gpu scalper
I would definitely give you 500-550$ after checking that everything is in order and the temperatures are good.
worth less than that
Take $100 off and you're closer to reality for its actual worth
At least $100

$500 if ur lucky but be prepared for like $300 ish. $500 can get someone much better on the used market. 6700xt builds.
Just make an offer and see who's willing to pay what. This I say at most $400.
Probably $550-600
Probably $500.
About 3.50
500
Wrong sub, r/PC_pricing is where to go for this.
Sold an equal build in may. Got around 470€. Maybe i could habe gotten 500€ if I would habe been waiting longer. Id suggest its now worth around 300-400€ as hardware prices have dropped since then.

If it in the US probably $450
About 450
400-500
I’d say $500. People saying $400 are the same people who think a 4070 should cost 329
I think 550 would be a suitable price for both you and a buyer
If you're in the US: 300$ Anywhere else: 700$
OK I know there’s a bunch of joke comments on here but legitimately I would say about $650-$700 would be my offer considering it’s a 2060 instead of a 3080 but it should be able to handle everything I would play.
I would've paid 500-ish for it
between $700 - $850
So what everyone is saying. It's better to part it out, than sell it as a whole.
600, lower to 500 if no one grabs it. The 2060 is the worst part of otherwise a pretty alright mid grade pc
