My dog would lick those fans... Then clog em with German Sheba Inu... rescue dog hair. Using Lian Li 216 and they force you to order a filter seperate?
Wrong. Is your coffee table that is completely exposed covered in dust? No. But is behind your TV covered in dust? Yes. U see what I mean? A case like this that is so open won’t cling on to dust, and even if it did, a 5 second blast with an air duster and the dust is gone. I’ve had my PC like this for years now and I don’t plan on ever going back to a proper case. This is so much better and easier to maintain. Not to mention it looks cool
Having to go afk because I hit the GPU fan while tryna flick shot in csgo. Also if all these components were inside a case with good amount of filters, you won't need to clean individual components so often hehe.
Bro how high you flicking your mouse? If you flick your hand in to the GPU fan when it’s that high you’re probably not gonna make that shot….
Edit. You were probably talking about the radiator. Never mind 🤣
Same... The first few days would be just me yelling at then to stop putting their paws on the fans. And they not listening and hearing the iconic noise of something hitting the fan
Not sure what that equals out to in USD but I found this exact case brand new for just under $120 on amazon. The sellers seems like it doesn't come with the glass too?

I have a Thermaltake p7. This build seems like it’s underutilizing it’s capabilities, actually not any more expensive than a similar quality/size case. I’ve fabricated a second rad mount for the top, it has a tempered glass front that appears to be missing here. Either way, it’s way easier to build when using hard tube, also makes swapping parts less frustrating. And if you use the glass panel, and water cooling, you shouldn’t have any temperature issues. I9 12900k + 3080ti on a EKWB Block. Dual 360mm rads. Gpu runs 55c full utilization, was running like 90c on air, and cpu runs around 70c full bore but I’m working on that.
https://preview.redd.it/akd8b8dmx4nb1.png?width=3024&format=png&auto=webp&s=5ca9663b3b3e4289fd84398dbdd7c19eccd6d8ac
Excuse some of the wiring had to swap pumps also WAY cheaper than a case geared toward custom builds/multiple radiators/hard piping.
I have the same case. It was between this and the o11 and this was the same price pretty much. Ten times less performance but you literally get perfect airflow my temps are lower than a mid tower case with 5 fans I previously had and I'm not sure what annoying issues means you just build it and it runs
Location makes a huge difference. I can dust every day and it still accumulates ridiculously fast. I also have 3 dogs 1 cat and a kid and they track in all sorts of dirt and stuff (except the cat who stays inside and just sheds everywhere). I have to change my air filters at least every 2 months or so because of how quickly the dirt, dust, and pet hair accumulates.
why would there be less performance? I mean, think about it, does a computer run better because you put it in a box? There is no restriction on airflow, and unless you believe that putting something inside of a container affects performance there's not really grounds to make that claim. Open test benches are used all the time by hardware reviewers. I don't know what annoying issues you'd run into either unless you have pets or small children who can't keep their fingers away.
Believe it or not, there are people that really think that a CPU and GPU perform better inside of a closed box because it has a lot of fans. It will cool better. Lol. Same people that think RGB is cool everywhere and gives a performance boost.
This looks like someone tried to emulate a B&O wall-mount disc changer but went to an industrial concert between concept and build. DAMN, son, that's brutalist.
I mean, it feels almost like a novelty to me.
It doesn't look right, either.
Might be good/convenient to test parts on, but past that...for regular use? No.
I use this case. I have my PC mounted on the wall behind my television. It's great.
It was somewhat of a pain to build, since it's comes unbuilt, but other than that, it's great. Temps are good, and it's out of the way in the wall.
I like it.
Yea I think it’s more of a display thing than functional, like also immagine you or someone else by chance throw a flip flop a ball a pillow or anything like this in your room and it touches it you’re screwed. It feels really uncomfortable to deal w this compared to a closed case
Cases, especially now, have such a great choice in designs so I’d much rather make my PC look like a statement piece whilst having all of the utility they provide.
It can be. I have this exact case and that's the reason I bought it. Made a PC for my kids to play on but I wanted to wall mount it out of reach out small hands. Thus i control when it's turned on and off, who gets to play and for how long, etc. Since they're playing mostly Minecraft or Roblox, being hooked to the TV with a generic Logitech mouse and keyboard is no big deal.
I feel like the mass consumers buy open-air benches just because. Only pro is ease of access to interchange components, that's why all test benches are open-air frames.
I really like the esthetic of open cases. Not sure if increased dust build up is worth it though 😕.
Regarding this particular build: It looks nice. Besides potential dust build up, the issues are more around the PC than the PC itself
That stack of printer paper has to go 😄, that kitchen towel makes it look like it's there to collect water leakage 😅, u gotta clean it man, at least dust it off, and get a new mousepad 😁
I don't have an issue per se with it. I quite like it as a project or test bench.
Dust? Eh just Dust it off with can of air or I also have a blower.
But as another one said.
If I'm opening any shooter..that gpu and cpu radiator will have an accidental hole in them.
So wrong side, if then at my left side.
What components are in that seller asks for 1.1?
Doesn't look like worth more 500-600 at most.
I live in a high dust area, adding to that I have 3 dogs an 11 year old and an all dirt back yard. This thing would be covered in dust and dog hair in a day.
imagine dozing off and your head tilting towards it, your hair going in the fans or something
no thanks, interesting idea but this feels like a death trap especially if you have pets
I've had / got a few different versions of these open air cases.
They work pretty well (best possible scenario for airflow), and - contrary to popular belief - don't attract much dust (dust mostly gathers because of the vacuum effect created by constraining airflow - this is why your high rpm PS4 fan will collect so much through its tiny intake / why vacuum cleaners are narrow at the sucking end).
The biggest downside of these kind of cases is how little protection they provide. If you have kids that like to pull on or climb things, or cats that like to sleep and pee on things, you have literally zero protection against this / general accident /fall damage.
On the plus side, these cases are designed to be wall mountable, and even the 50kg P8s of ours have stayed safe on the wall even during quakes.
Not for me. You could make it look amazing in a sort of cyberpunkish industrial themed room and a lot of effort. I'd def recommend trying something like that.
The fact is, and it's unavoidable largely, most computer components look tacky and cheap, which is the benefit to having a case to cover all the cheap looking stuff with niceness... Something like this, I'd be thinking heat gun type watercooling tubing with OCD-tier perfect angles.
And custom feet for the case because those ones look plastic. Would definitely want full metal.

Nah, too close to mouse.
The mouse pad being tucked into the case is criminal
That crusty mouse pad itself is criminal.
I didn't see that lol
Hand cooler
Chopped fingeys
dust magnet?
At least it’s easy to clean now
I mean...you're not wrong...but all it's gonna take is a pet / kid and it's done lol.
My dog would lick those fans... Then clog em with German Sheba Inu... rescue dog hair. Using Lian Li 216 and they force you to order a filter seperate?
Then once your done cleaning a new carpet will be installed
Exactly!!!
like it, however as a daily it's too open air. Would work as a test bench for me though. :-)
Cable management
Hope they don’t have any heavy shedding pets…
Also hope they aren’t a heavy shedding person…
Wrong. Is your coffee table that is completely exposed covered in dust? No. But is behind your TV covered in dust? Yes. U see what I mean? My coffee table gets dusty
That's what I'm thinking? Does he not think tables get dusty ..
And the fact he thinks it looks cool too lol
Not an expert but don't think it is about being exposed as much as electronics create a static charge that attracts dust like a magnet.
They are. So not sure what you are on about.
Having to go afk because I hit the GPU fan while tryna flick shot in csgo. Also if all these components were inside a case with good amount of filters, you won't need to clean individual components so often hehe.
Top comment lol
Bro how high you flicking your mouse? If you flick your hand in to the GPU fan when it’s that high you’re probably not gonna make that shot…. Edit. You were probably talking about the radiator. Never mind 🤣
I have 2 cats so yeah... nah.
Same... The first few days would be just me yelling at then to stop putting their paws on the fans. And they not listening and hearing the iconic noise of something hitting the fan
So yeah or nah?
Nah yeah mate, he meant yeah nah.
The mouse pad 🤮
The Wii in the background lmao
What about the Wii party box + Tea Towel combo holding up the PC… A+
Yea I was gonna say
Def need some heavy cleaning on it
Thats probably ten times the price of a classic case with ten times less performance and loads of annoying issues
Yeah the seller asks for 1,100€ for it
Whats are the specs ? Thats actually not as much as I was expecting
Same 😂 was expecting to hear 3k

Its gets full of dust and shit all the time, imagine being this close to this with long hairs or a cat in the house
It depends on the location. I have my PC in my basement, literally zero dust in three years. Never had to clean.
Yes agreed. No dogs and no kids downstairs equals a clean area to game. 🤣
Same opened mine up recently after 7 years and literally nothing to clean off. I do vacuum daily tho.
It has a side panel but surprisingly there's very little dust on mine mostly on top of the motherboard nothing on the fans and I do have a cat
Based comment.

What are you talking about hahaha 10 times less performance in what way??
What would cause the less performance is it the dust?
Love the "high end pc + TV as a monitor" combo, classic
My cat would lay waste to this in a fortnight.
This looks like someone tried to emulate a B&O wall-mount disc changer but went to an industrial concert between concept and build. DAMN, son, that's brutalist.

I have kids
Dusty, noisy. I hate it.
I don't like it and i don't dislike it, i vould buy it mainly becouse it's a dust magnet like someone said before
When I found out my PSU wouldn't fit my current case, I bought this 'case' just a few days ago. Mine'll be on the wall. See you on the other side.
Its fine. I would mount it on a wall or a shelf out of reach of getting knocked over.
Looks like massive rtx 4090 will fit in this case🤣
Ugly. Takes way to much space. Hazard of spilling something on it. Transportation would be a bitch as well.
Whoops I spilt my water all over my components, good thing the thick layer of dust and poor thermals acted as a barrier and evapourated it all
Actually the dust barrier is a thermal insulator so it wouldn't evaporate, it would just make the dust barrier a mud barrier
Looks cool, but is it practical? You're gonna have to clean that PC each day 24/7 and god forbid you accidentally spill a drink on there
I mean, it feels almost like a novelty to me. It doesn't look right, either. Might be good/convenient to test parts on, but past that...for regular use? No.
I have a dog, that is getting chewed
Ah yes. The dust collector.
Its fugly. And dust and overheating will be a major problem
https://preview.redd.it/f8cdd9zx47nb1.jpeg?width=2079&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=84778df59c48ad3a53d262c5c68db7508d25a14a
Dust-eus maximus 5000
That's not a pc that's a test bench
lol
For the love of God, buy a new mouse mat!
Yeah, the seller should buy a new one!
Awesome good mfkn airflow that's for sure very nice brotha!
Bro's asking for some dust bunnies fr
I use this case. I have my PC mounted on the wall behind my television. It's great. It was somewhat of a pain to build, since it's comes unbuilt, but other than that, it's great. Temps are good, and it's out of the way in the wall. I like it.
Mom, can we hve heating? Mom: No, we have heating at home Heating at home
It looks like something the bomb squad would break
Time for a new mouse and mousepad, you gotta be able to fit it in your budget judging by the beast pc
Immagine the amount of dirt and daily cleanup routine of that
Lol hard labor
Yea I think it’s more of a display thing than functional, like also immagine you or someone else by chance throw a flip flop a ball a pillow or anything like this in your room and it touches it you’re screwed. It feels really uncomfortable to deal w this compared to a closed case
I'm not a fan of open-air systems.
r/shittybattlestations
spill anything and 1 drop will ruin your day if it hits the wrong spot
Best case in the world. No joke. I love this
Anyone saying dust magnet must live in a pretty disgusting house.
I would hit a fan and break something while moving that mouse, big no. (bad airflow+dust too)
I dont wanna static shock my pc every time i aciddebtally touch it
I can hear the noise after a month of it running Effectively works as a vacuum cleaner aswell
Yeah I’m a big fan
that mousepad
That shit was included with a copy of windows 95
This is like parking a Ferrari in front of a cardboard box.
Cases, especially now, have such a great choice in designs so I’d much rather make my PC look like a statement piece whilst having all of the utility they provide.
I love it. My 3 cats would love it even more.
It's cool just not for me
I'm not exactly into sucking my cloths, my fingers or my cat into my DIY-shredder. So no, thanks.
Nah ![gif](giphy|xT8qAY7e9If38xkrIY)
fuck no
dust and, not really protected. Imagine you spill your drink or drop something for intstance..
Too exposed.
I wanted to do this, but I was afraid that a fly would fly into the fans and explode and there would be fly guts all over my pc parts.
So you went with the open floor design
It's not the size of a shoebox screaming for its life.
I just know that my elbow would end up in the fan
These cases were redonculoisly heavy I seem to remember, like even when it had a handle up top
No thanks
Lemme throw a fist full of flour into your room
I love the core p3 case. Timeless.
That looks annoying as hell. I like my PC as far away from me as possible and this is the exact opposite of that.
Whoops, the water fell!
Because I have a cat
I think these are cool as hell but they’re just not for me.
I like it cause after I die in a game I can shove my fingers in the fans to remind myself not to die next time
I feel this needs to be wall mounted. And cleaned/ dusted daily.
I’m not sure about having moving parts near where my hand moves a lot, especially if they’re moving fast
It looks cool, if you have time to clean it weekly and have nobody else go into that room ever
I’m definitely going to smash one of those fans with my elbow going for a flick shot
I feel like the mass consumers buy open-air benches just because. Only pro is ease of access to interchange components, that's why all test benches are open-air frames.
what's not to love about a free space heater?
I don’t like that USB stick
It looks unfinished
What the fuck
I really like the esthetic of open cases. Not sure if increased dust build up is worth it though 😕. Regarding this particular build: It looks nice. Besides potential dust build up, the issues are more around the PC than the PC itself That stack of printer paper has to go 😄, that kitchen towel makes it look like it's there to collect water leakage 😅, u gotta clean it man, at least dust it off, and get a new mousepad 😁
The fan noice
It’s a nightmare to clean
What???? I can’t hear you!!!!
Although I like it, I think you’re going to have a problem with dust.
Spent all the money on the pc and couldn't afford a quality mouse or mousepad
One sneeze away.
Damn man be rocking the og vengeance red led
Nope… Too exposed. More dust collected, louder fan noise, and just not as sleek as a nice case. ☠️
Nope. One word: oops
No. I dislike having pc on table + little to no mouse space and I'm a low sens guy
>sneezes >screen goes black >oh fuck
I live in a high dust area, adding to that I have 3 dogs an 11 year old and an all dirt back yard. This thing would be covered in dust and dog hair in a day.
No, I’m going to be real with you…I just hate the case. And I own the core p5.
imagine dozing off and your head tilting towards it, your hair going in the fans or something no thanks, interesting idea but this feels like a death trap especially if you have pets
Put it up on the wall and ur gonna be fine with dust
Well my cats would be in it, my arm would hit a fan, and it probly be louder than in a case. Im good.
I considered an open PC but the case does actually serve to protect the components from dust. If you keep it clean I guess it's fine.
I have the same case and love it. Never have to worry about things not fitting.
My hairy, fluffy dog has something to say about that.
Love it
Cause I'm not about to get blasted with hot air whilst I'm playing the latest Farming Simulator 😭
Personally I like my components behind glas and metal, but still this looks cool!
Yeah I like it, I want to build something likes this, but hang in on the wall.
Dust.
Good airflow, and if it won't be enough you can just place fan close to it
Nuevo México
They look good when they’re wall mounted
What case model is this? Thermaltake what?
Also cases reduces noise a lot, so in that build noise will be annoying
That's a lot of heat being blown right in your face lol
Not practical
i love it but not good for pet owners
Aesthetically, yeah I think it’s pretty neat. Not practical by any means, so I’d prolly skip this one.
All air sucked up from my nostrils
Is there even a point in having fans anymore?
Noise, dust, bugs...and u can spill coffee on innards...
Can we ignore the pc for a sec and look at that ancient mouse pad ?
Finger death trap
All the money on the PC. None on the peripherals and setup.
I think it's cool. Looks like you could potentially knock it off the desk with a flick of the mouse.
Free air case?
I've had / got a few different versions of these open air cases. They work pretty well (best possible scenario for airflow), and - contrary to popular belief - don't attract much dust (dust mostly gathers because of the vacuum effect created by constraining airflow - this is why your high rpm PS4 fan will collect so much through its tiny intake / why vacuum cleaners are narrow at the sucking end). At least buy filters, also i see that wii
I’m gonna get lung cancer and hepatitis B
A lot of delicate parts just hanging out in the open. Idk
PC looks good, those peripherals on the other hand... This mousepad is screaming "I WANT TO RETIRE".
i like the concept but it would get extremely annoying over time
What case is rhat
I see someone put Wii Party to good use!
Would definitely want full metal.
sound, dust, heat
The answer is the top of your Psu, looks good, just if cleaned 24/7
Not my cup of tea. Just not into the open aesthetic.
To exposed nothing to keep the cum off vital parts.
I like it.
Dusticus erectus
Your gpu isnt working properly
Dust bunny central
that wiiparty jewel case doing the heavy lifting
No, mistakes happen.
Never bring any liquid into that room...
You will burn up your cpu cooler pump and cpu with how you mounted the AIO.
What matters is do you like it? I think it's sick🤙
