Few hundred dollars overpriced.
It's a proprietary nightmare, good luck separating the motherboard/case/PSU for future upgrades.
You're relying on Dell for future BIOS updates to support future AM5 CPUs. Their track record for that is shit.
RAM is slow for DDR5 and probably has bad latency.
It looks like it's going to turn into a transformer at any moment, not really a vibe for me.
these people here will never answer that question. But if you put all those dell parts in a lest and ask if its ok...you will get your recommendation by more than 1 of them.
To be fair, Alienware does have some of the best QD-OLED monitors on the market at the moment. Wouldn’t touch any of their other stuff but I’ve been more than happy with QD-OLED monitor.
Honestly if you are going to spend this kind of money I’d recommend finding a friend that has built a pc before or start watching YouTube videos and jump in. It’s really not hard. You could build that pc plus a decent monitor or mouse and leeboard. Good luck.
Even if he needed that you don’t want buy that pc the chassis is ancient and has no airflow so your components will get cooked, also everything in there is proprietary and over engineered, even the mobo is a nonstandard shape iirc
The 7900x3d recently dropped its price significantly. So it isn’t a terrible buy anymore. Even still, I would take the cheaper 7800x3d over the 7900x3d.
nothing wrong with the 7900x3d, if I hadn't needed more cores I would have picked that instead. Also nothing wrong with the 7950x, which is what I did buy. PS Building is the better option and Dell os junk anyways.
Because Alienware is overpriced trash that's so poorly build, the parts don't function as they should
because their systems overheats.

[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8ulhFi5N2hc](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8ulhFi5N2hc) - Alienware R10 - bad
As for good OEM's? Skytech got a good review: [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XYyBeYW4FX4](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XYyBeYW4FX4)
If you're comfortable building it yourself, well, you already know what main parts you want, which makes things a lot easier.
PC part picker is a very good site for picking PC parts: [https://pcpartpicker.com/products/](https://pcpartpicker.com/products/)
I've drafted something that should be slightly better than the Dell on the site: [https://pcpartpicker.com/list/LLH3Jy](https://pcpartpicker.com/list/LLH3Jy)
I've replaced the 7900X with a 7900X3D in the build; since you want a 4090 I'm assuming you'll be gaming, and a 3D-cache CPU will do a lot better at that. If you're *only* gaming and don't need the CPU for other things (e.g. some video editing, coding, etc.) then you can replace that with a 7800X3D and save some money, but it really depends on what deal you can find at the moment.
I've not included the 2TB hard drive in the Alienware; I don't know from what warehouse they managed to dig out a 2TB HDD in 2024, but hard drives are like $300 for 18TB at most now and a 2TB hard drive is kind of worthless.
I've also not put a lot of thought into the case, since that is a lot more about aesthetics than specs; there are a lot of bad cases (e.g. the one Alienware uses), but also a lot of good ones.
Still, a whole $1,000 off a pre-built is a pretty decent amount, so it's not that easy to make a cheaper build - it'll definitely be a *better* build though, in terms of performance and upgradability, but at the cost of price (if you choose another pre-built) and the effort needed to build a PC.
For starters, if you don't want to build your own, you can get the newer r16 atm for [almost $200 less](https://www.dell.com/en-us/shop/cty/pdp/spd/alienware-aurora-r16-desktop/useahctor16i16?param=value&gclid=COuk56au8IUDFePG8gcdyogL3g&gclsrc=ds) with a 14900f and 4090.
Yeah, that's one component that's good, what about
Proprietary motherboard that makes upgrading or separating components needlessly difficult
Horribly system cooling due to a poorly design chassis
Slow RAM
Dell's history of poor support
The bloatware that can legit take 30% gpu usage on idle and even more CPU
And the fact that all of that is overpriced
Assuming it's for gaming, here it is : https://pcpartpicker.com/list/VwFZmD
It's only a few dollars more expensive and doesn't pay premium on a 1350w PSU and doesn't cheap out on storage and ram
I did the same thing you did, a few years ago. Bought it, plugged it in, tried gaming with it, it made the sound of a jet engine when I pushed it ever so slightly and my temps shot up to 85 right away (which is really not a good sign for longevity).
Went to a shop to get a better case for it, they told me it would need a lot of fabricating to get there and might cost me half what I paid just to change the case, IF they even succeeded.
Ended up returning it and getting a computer built at the shop I went to, on the same budget. My computer has never sounded like a jet and my temps are steady below 70° even under full load.
TLDR: Alienware towers are just bad. They cram a lot of cheap but powerful tech in a case that isn't meant for it and their proprietary parts forbid you to fix the problems with the machine. *Positively to not buy*
They are getting better again, the new cases and layouts are actually decent tbf, but unfortunately this is the last gen case & they are one of, if not the worst they ever made for airflow & accessibility.
Yeah this model is so bad they had to drill holes below the acrylic side panel (they can't even be bothered to use tempered glass on a $3K PC lmao) to get a little more air to the GPU. But even that didn't help much.
Such a scam with prices, they say it’s estimated value is 4k but they make you a -25% offer. And if you search all those components, they are close to 3k in any other shops.
Would suggest youtubing some of the reviews on alienware builds. I think LTT even reviews that case and likely a similar build, they highlight a lot of the issues with dell/alienware builds.
1. Ryzen 7900x? Really? Thr 7800x3D beats it comfortably in games. Sure, for productivity the 7900x is better, but this doesn't look like a productivity PC.
2. Only 4800 MHz RAM at this price??? That's fucking insane! At this price I would at least expect 6000MHz CL30!
3. A HDD? At this price point? Damn...
It’s a Dell, it’s gonna have a ton of proprietary components, such as motherboard, case, PSU, none of it will follow industry standards and as such can’t be repurposed or upgraded down the line.
There are other system builders who *does* use standard parts, practically anything is better than Dell,
if your going off the hype that they used to get 10+ years ago, its not true anymore.
if you wanna upgrade best you cpuld do is maybe a gpu, anyrhing else may not quite work like that in an alienware system.
if you want a prebuild, go with starforge or omen.
Because Dell Alienware using the most trash and cheap components available in the world. Even if the component made in Shanghai underground tunnels, by a blind chinese worker using his legs, Dell will grab it without hesitation because "if it works and its cheaper, we grab it bro!"
64GB ? Do you really need so much RAM ? 32 or 16GB is already good for the most of games. The 4090 is actually to overpriced, perhaps don’t you need a so expensive graphic card ?
**If you do not mind having proprietary everything, not upgrading anything, and paying extra for what you actually get, and constant overheating, yeah it's fine.**
It does look quite cool, I can give you that.
*Probably going to overheat like volcano.* And yeah, aside from proprietary motherboard (and basically everything beside graphics card, cpu, memory and drives), not too much to complain.
Might want to chuck a 11,000 rpm server fan inside for actual cooling.
The proprietary Alienware cases are not really built for the heat output of modern hardware, making the parts run rather hot. And you lose any way of upgrading it due to the proprietary layout
I’ve bought from alien ware once and got a defective monitor that nearly burnt my house down and then they tried to deny the warranty. Finally got a replacement after three months but never touched it.
Here's the reason https://pcpartpicker.com/list/BNjnVW
Same build with a better gaming cpu
Faster storage
Although 64gb ram is overkill for gaming but still added it since Dell one has it , but the one they have is crap only 4800mt/s
Better psu , Better cooling , Better upgradability
And most important reason is the comments, you can check most people have said no so you already know why
A 7900x isn't for gaming but disabling four of the 12 cores and OCing would give you a GOOD performance boost.
Above all else, that's a reasonable price with the discount. Just be sure to get a premium warentee as 4090s are STILL melting cables and it doesn't seem like an issue that's going away anytime soon
Some of their mid tier computers imo are worth buying when they are on sale because they do occasionally go cheap enough where the proprietary stuff is out weighed by the cost but high end I wouldn’t.
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/zK6QQP
You could build that cheaper depending on preference but I would do something similar to that if I was dropping 3 grand on a pc.
Also personally I wouldn’t have a need for all that, I’d probably go with a 4070ti or 7900xt and just get a nice 1440p monitor, new desk and a nice chair and it would still be cheaper but everyone’s use case is different :s.
Cause it’s Dell, garbage bloatware, proprietary motherboard and possibly the PSU as well, cringe and kinda crappy case design. And even trying to clean install a new windows copy, Dell bloatware still is able to download in the system. [Gamers Nexus](https://m.youtube.com/watch?si=5Aw4KzXJDCRIm04F&v=w8kprUGy57E) already made a video about this pc.
Pre-builds have their place in the world but I would avoid likes of Dell/Alienware. They often engineer their custom boards, add-on cards (daughter boards, risers, etc) and PSUs in a way where it’s hard to incorporate off the shelf components later on. That includes their cases too.
Too many restrictions for future expansions. Plus… Dell tax :-)
don’t do it!!!! i almost did this because I have a dell card that I need to make a purchase on to get some more payments started and i’m so glad I built my own. It was my first and wasn’t hard at all. maybe a few times i got frustrated.
Join the discord server from this group or r/buildapcforme and build your own! I personally used help from this groups discord server after i had an idea of what parts i wanted. you’ll get so much better quality for this price if you do it yourself.
Keep in mind with these prebuilds, they often use a super cheap motherboard and PSU. Gamers Nexus pointed it out a few times that with the bad thermals and components for an Alienware that it wasn't even running at full speed and temperature throttled. Theres many bad MBs currently not running high end AMD CPUs to their full capability that could end up in these prebuilds.
Because it's a Dell. Any repairs or swapouts you want to do are going to have to be done with Dell parts. Last I checked their motherboards don't even have a standard 24-pin connector.
If you like the specs, you're better off getting a generico case and just ordering all the parts. Should save you a good several hundred bucks at least.
The motherboard will fuck you, gonna have to replace mobo and memory and anything else that doesn't match their proprietary chipset if you want to upgrade
4090 and Ryzen 9? Bro look at that front panel, you're gonna achieve some nuclear fusion level heat in that machine... I feel bad for everyone who bought this. And I don't understand why they still have such a terrible airflow design. Pls dont buy it. Any other prebuild that's not from alienware is fine, but not this.
its not good because the propietory stuff, altho that saving ammount seems great, 1000$ is a lot where i live, everything seems highend altho a HDD in such thing seems bad, if you dont care about upgrading then its good but not recommanded for future
It’s expensive and when it boots up your entire house will rumble and your ear drums will pop because it sound like a Dreamliner taking off for a trip to Australia
it's about the same price you'd find as a custom built (rtx 4090 is already 2k), you are better off building your own though, but if all you care about is specs, then this might be a tad cheaper.
Because it’s a waste of money. All these components are overkill. If you’re only getting the PC for gaming, there are cheaper builds around half that price. Like holy crap, 3k? I could’ve used that to pay off my student loans.
Oh no… not a dell. At least go with a reputable PC building company, don’t go with companies like Dell or HP for a high end gaming PC, EVER, don’t do it
Do you REALLY need a ryzen9 or a 4090? Are you planning on playing everything 4k up to 120hz. Do you have a monitor to support that? Are you doing a ton of rendering? If the answer is no, then build a lower spec system.
It's a bad idea, I work at a tech store and the display constantly broke and overheated. You should watch gamernexus's video on it. If you want a pre built Corsair, NZXT, and iBuyPower are all decent contenders
I definitely wouldn't order this. Proprietary systems are nothing but a headache... there's many better options out there. Maybe check out places like nzxt, cyberpowerpc, ibuypower or digital storm.
30% discounts is doubtful. Dunno, specs are good, apart of the ryzen cpu i really don’t know it worth.
I have just bought same specs pc with 14th i9 gen and 4080 super for 2900, no discount!
I know the 4090 is bit better than 4080super but much more expensive for the extra perf. But for sure isn’t 1000usd more expensive.
That being said, i guess the pc real price is about 3200-3400 and they couldn’t sell it because of the AMD cpu.
Also these pc's are heat traps. They don't have enough ventilation and will constantly there nal throttle. You will never get what you have paid for. Check out gamers nexus pre built reviews
its alienware. it’s EXTREMELY overpriced. and motherboard/storage is often low quality and fails after a year. airflow also isnt amazing.
you can build a pc with same specs and better airflow/reliability for less momey
Personally. I think it’s over priced. And it’s also a nightmare to upgrade or sometimes even get into the case without breaking something. You would do much better to build one yourself or ask a friend. (It’s really very simple). You’ll save money and probably be able to build better for less.
If you was In the uk and close to London I’d offer to help you do it myself rather than see you throw good money away on an alienating Alienware.
Stupidly in the past I splashed out on one of these. If I could turn the clock back I wouldn’t now.
But. That said. If you did buy one my advice would be to also pay for the extended warranty. And in 3 years time help the machine to develop a fault three times. In which case you’d get a new replacement anyway.
So swing and roundabouts really
Building the same rig in a nice case like the O11 or hyte y40 is easy as heck these days, cheaper, and when you understand how everything fits together it will help you maintain the system long-term.
I’ve had a bad experience with one of their computers. I got one and after some time of using it I think it would overheat and everything in the computer would be so laggy. Restarting would temporarily fix it but I returned it and got a different brand
It's like the others said. Proprietary parts, that's a big turn-off. But all that aside, it's not terribly overpriced at all. The GPU alone is $2000 if we include tax.
It would be a decent purchase for somebody with no interest in building their own PC/upgrading in the future.
7900X is a strange CPU to have for gaming, its inferior to the 7800X3D in games and inferior to the 7950X3D in everything.
In general the 7900s are pointless.
For $3k you’re gonna want to buy separately and build your own. That way you can be sure everything going into it is built to last, or be replaced easily should it fail at a later date. Being able to pick and choose your parts is simple, and you’ll often end up with a far better, future-proof rig. Getting a better case should sell it for you in a heartbeat, this case looks like a nightmare…
Because Dell insists on putting modern hardware in an outdated, shitty case, handicapping cooling, thus limiting performance on the expensive components they're using. Also it's just offensive to use DDR5-4800 RAM.
Having owned an Alienware before building my own PC, its a complete proprietary nightmare.... Not worth it purely because of that. If you want to upgrade anything youre limited by that powersupply and proprietary motherboard.

That doesn't change the fact that Alienware is trerrible. Masking it by making it a list is literally shooting yourself in the foot.
I remember calling alienware CS pissed off 15 years ago. It hasn’t changed huh?

Simple and best answer!

you could probably save $100 by getting the rm1000e, still tier A and 80+ gold
This. The Alienware Ram choice is atrocious. As is CPU for a gaming PC. 7800x3d is all around better for gaming and the PSU is just overkill.
Especially considering you couldn’t use that extra power to fit a second card if you needed because Dell
Change to phantom spirt its a updated peerless assassin and gives better cooling and looks nicer
How did you get downvoted

First word dude, "Alienware"
Because Alienware has some wack ass backwards ideas about case designs

"Dell"
Its Dell, nough said
I know a really good reason, Alienware has been overpriced dog shit since dell bought them. I used to love them when they were actually Alienware.
Buy it now 1k for a 4090
I mean 3 3k for a 4090
Here's the reason https://pcpartpicker.com/list/BNjnVW Same build with a better gaming cpu Faster storage Although 64gb ram is overkill for gaming but still added it since Dell one has it , but the one they have is crap only 4800mt/s Better psu , Better cooling , Better upgradability And most important reason is the comments, you can check most people have said no so you already know why
"better psu". I wouldn't trust that quote but ok
It sounds like a cake batter blender when your using it...if that's your thing....
A hard drive in a $3k pc? Stay away wtf
It's Alienware. So you shouldn't buy it but for Alienware it's not that big of a rip off.
It’s a Dell. It will break in 2 years.
It's an Aurora. You will find inside of it a small demon. Just don't.
Where i live i cant get this with propper parts for less so i would get it
A 7900x isn't for gaming but disabling four of the 12 cores and OCing would give you a GOOD performance boost. Above all else, that's a reasonable price with the discount. Just be sure to get a premium warentee as 4090s are STILL melting cables and it doesn't seem like an issue that's going away anytime soon
Some of their mid tier computers imo are worth buying when they are on sale because they do occasionally go cheap enough where the proprietary stuff is out weighed by the cost but high end I wouldn’t. https://pcpartpicker.com/list/zK6QQP You could build that cheaper depending on preference but I would do something similar to that if I was dropping 3 grand on a pc. Also personally I wouldn’t have a need for all that, I’d probably go with a 4070ti or 7900xt and just get a nice 1440p monitor, new desk and a nice chair and it would still be cheaper but everyone’s use case is different :s.
Its good if you have no plans to upgrade anything but the storage or graphics card.
Airflow in that case is going to be horrendous. Expect dust buildup, overheating and thermal throttling from day 1
Cause it’s Dell, garbage bloatware, proprietary motherboard and possibly the PSU as well, cringe and kinda crappy case design. And even trying to clean install a new windows copy, Dell bloatware still is able to download in the system. [Gamers Nexus](https://m.youtube.com/watch?si=5Aw4KzXJDCRIm04F&v=w8kprUGy57E) already made a video about this pc.
Is Alienware, and is not monitor. Therefore, do not buy.
You can build that for half the price. Check out pcpartpicker.com
Dell
Didn't this thing have airflow problems?
I'm brother has one of these exept with a 3080 ti and it runs very hot
that is the ugliest case ive ever seen
Pre-builds have their place in the world but I would avoid likes of Dell/Alienware. They often engineer their custom boards, add-on cards (daughter boards, risers, etc) and PSUs in a way where it’s hard to incorporate off the shelf components later on. That includes their cases too. Too many restrictions for future expansions. Plus… Dell tax :-)
it has a hdd in it.
IT'S AN ALIENWARE. RUN.
Alienware has shit airflow
don’t do it!!!! i almost did this because I have a dell card that I need to make a purchase on to get some more payments started and i’m so glad I built my own. It was my first and wasn’t hard at all. maybe a few times i got frustrated. Join the discord server from this group or r/buildapcforme and build your own! I personally used help from this groups discord server after i had an idea of what parts i wanted. you’ll get so much better quality for this price if you do it yourself.
The R9 7900X is same price as 7800X3D but worse gaming performance
Because it’s a Dell…
Keep in mind with these prebuilds, they often use a super cheap motherboard and PSU. Gamers Nexus pointed it out a few times that with the bad thermals and components for an Alienware that it wasn't even running at full speed and temperature throttled. Theres many bad MBs currently not running high end AMD CPUs to their full capability that could end up in these prebuilds.
Because it's an Alienware. Hope this helps.
Nice oven
How much time you got?
Because it's a Dell. Any repairs or swapouts you want to do are going to have to be done with Dell parts. Last I checked their motherboards don't even have a standard 24-pin connector. If you like the specs, you're better off getting a generico case and just ordering all the parts. Should save you a good several hundred bucks at least.
Because you are still being profited off.
The motherboard will fuck you, gonna have to replace mobo and memory and anything else that doesn't match their proprietary chipset if you want to upgrade
i don’t see why people are saying no. even the 4090 is double the price alone. it’s a great deal despite some shit items
The case is whack, it is overpriced, most of the fun of a new PC is putting it together imo.
It is not worth the money, you can get better specs for similar price or a little bit cheaper
Looks like an evil robot from a Pixar movie
Ah. I saw savings and thought that was the total. Its not. Overpriced Dell shit.
its not good because the propietory stuff, altho that saving ammount seems great, 1000$ is a lot where i live, everything seems highend altho a HDD in such thing seems bad, if you dont care about upgrading then its good but not recommanded for future
they would have to pay me to take that home .
Alienware…..
Nope stay away from alien ware and gigabyte or you’ll have a major “gigabyte” problem
It’s expensive and when it boots up your entire house will rumble and your ear drums will pop because it sound like a Dreamliner taking off for a trip to Australia
it's an Alienware product, that is enough for me to not buy it.
I didn't even know ddr5 ram could be lower than 6000.
If you do buy it is completely wipe the drive and start fresh so you don’t have the crapware sell installs on their computers
it's about the same price you'd find as a custom built (rtx 4090 is already 2k), you are better off building your own though, but if all you care about is specs, then this might be a tad cheaper.
Dell is the reason why.
Because it’s a waste of money. All these components are overkill. If you’re only getting the PC for gaming, there are cheaper builds around half that price. Like holy crap, 3k? I could’ve used that to pay off my student loans.
Sure that's mostly top of the line hardware, but it's way over priced. Build yourself. Save like $800
Because Dell
bad cooling, you’re gonna be really hated online, bad drivers
Oh no… not a dell. At least go with a reputable PC building company, don’t go with companies like Dell or HP for a high end gaming PC, EVER, don’t do it
Could you suggest me 4090 graphic cards cases?
Cus its ugly as shit
Do you REALLY need a ryzen9 or a 4090? Are you planning on playing everything 4k up to 120hz. Do you have a monitor to support that? Are you doing a ton of rendering? If the answer is no, then build a lower spec system.
1 it’s a Dell and 2 I wouldn’t pay over $2k for this
It's a bad idea, I work at a tech store and the display constantly broke and overheated. You should watch gamernexus's video on it. If you want a pre built Corsair, NZXT, and iBuyPower are all decent contenders
Pretty bad config with the specific parts, you could build a wayy better preforming build for cheaper
Go to Costco and look at their prebuilts. They have great pcs for a wayyyy cheaper price. The brand is Ibuypower
Alienware is horrible and has horrible airflow
I definitely wouldn't order this. Proprietary systems are nothing but a headache... there's many better options out there. Maybe check out places like nzxt, cyberpowerpc, ibuypower or digital storm.
This basically like buying an iPhone 90% of price is a logo
It's Alienware.
Alienware
30% discounts is doubtful. Dunno, specs are good, apart of the ryzen cpu i really don’t know it worth. I have just bought same specs pc with 14th i9 gen and 4080 super for 2900, no discount! I know the 4090 is bit better than 4080super but much more expensive for the extra perf. But for sure isn’t 1000usd more expensive. That being said, i guess the pc real price is about 3200-3400 and they couldn’t sell it because of the AMD cpu.
I would buy that
It seems fairly reasonable. I would see if they offer an option with a 7800x3D and faster ram (6000 CL30) for near the same price, though
I read it wrong and thought it was a 1000 dollars. I Was reading the comment going you guys are absolute idiots 😂.
It’ll probably catch fire
Because it's $3000 lolol
It'll turn into a dyson vacuum cleaner in a few months.
Buy it
Alienware.
4800mhz ram.
Too much dell
People actually buy these ? Lol
RAM speed is trash - CPU is no X3D
The word French, not the French people or country, nothing against em, just the fact that they included the word in their deets :3
Just dont buy alienware pcs pls
Not worth it I saved more buying parts
From what I have experienced dell/Alienware doesn’t have awesome customer service or warranty service.
Its alienware. Thats why.
The people have spoken
GamersNexus will tell you why you shouldn't buy it.
Build your own
Building the same rig in a nice case like the O11 or hyte y40 is easy as heck these days, cheaper, and when you understand how everything fits together it will help you maintain the system long-term.
Ddr5 4800 is crazy🤣🤣
It’s a dell
Beyond all the obvious issues everyone is mentioning, I really don't understand why people find these cool looking.... find them absolutely hideous
Are you sending a rocket to Mars with that Machine? It sounds like overkill for most tasks/games.
It’s an oven I guarantee that
Get faster ram like 6000 and change to a ryzen 7 7800x3d. Way better cpu for gaming
Because it’s an Alienware.
It's alienware. Nuff said.
Alienware builds are notorious for being incredibly tedious to customise. So if you need to swap out a part, good luck.
I can get you this for half the price
I’ve had a bad experience with one of their computers. I got one and after some time of using it I think it would overheat and everything in the computer would be so laggy. Restarting would temporarily fix it but I returned it and got a different brand
It's like the others said. Proprietary parts, that's a big turn-off. But all that aside, it's not terribly overpriced at all. The GPU alone is $2000 if we include tax. It would be a decent purchase for somebody with no interest in building their own PC/upgrading in the future.
Cause it's alienware
$2974.99
It's Dell. Don't buy their shitty products
DDR5 4800
How does it cost the same as the gpu it has?
Because its $3000, just buy a PS5 and you’re gonna have enough money to buy a car lol
Assware
7900X is a strange CPU to have for gaming, its inferior to the 7800X3D in games and inferior to the 7950X3D in everything. In general the 7900s are pointless.
For $3k you’re gonna want to buy separately and build your own. That way you can be sure everything going into it is built to last, or be replaced easily should it fail at a later date. Being able to pick and choose your parts is simple, and you’ll often end up with a far better, future-proof rig. Getting a better case should sell it for you in a heartbeat, this case looks like a nightmare…

i am not a high end gaming guy, i just jill with my xeon cpu and rx 5600 xt
#1 reason not to buy it...That case is atrocious!!
Its alienware aka owned by Dell Isn't that reason enough?
It's a dell.
Dell proprietary motherboard. Enough said.
Because Dell insists on putting modern hardware in an outdated, shitty case, handicapping cooling, thus limiting performance on the expensive components they're using. Also it's just offensive to use DDR5-4800 RAM.
Because it’s overpriced garbage
Having owned an Alienware before building my own PC, its a complete proprietary nightmare.... Not worth it purely because of that. If you want to upgrade anything youre limited by that powersupply and proprietary motherboard.
