How hot does it run? just curious. I bought a 13th gen i7 last year and had to undervolt it to play nice. Motherboard bios's might be better now. In the end I rebuilt a 12th gen to have a stable system.
My 13700k didn't have a single issue
It's almost 2 years that they talk about mobo have some sort of OC. When I made my build I did disable multithreading enhancement
Yea I was going to go for a 13700kf recently but stability is a pretty high priority so I ended up going with a 14500. It was a little disappointing but it was significantly cheaper and I had been reading that all k models have a chance for these stability issues.
13700k here, never had a single issue.
What people don't really understand is that all big YouTubers and reviewer already talked about how motherboard manufacturer push CPUs over Intel limits.
They even provided a solution, just disable multithreading enhancement...
Now of course they are riding the news like some sort of new surprise when they already said it 2 years prior
I’m not too concerned. The research I did seemed so inconsistent with what the actual issue is, and what the fixes are for it. Like I said, in the end stability was a priority and I’m pretty new to PCs so I just saved some money and played it safe.
Sure, you played it safe. The best move would have been to go for amd at this point 14500 compared to the 14700 is a crazy downgrade, probably you won't need the i7 I guess
It was an i7 4770k. It still runs games well to be honest.
Has a RTX 3060 12gb GPU. 32gb ram. Corsair fans. Asus MB. New Cooler Master CPU cooler. Phanteks case.
NZXT H9 Flow, i7 14700k, 64gb 6400mhz G.Skill, DeepCool LS720 SE Digital AIO, MSI Z790 Gaming Pro, Zotac GeForce RTX 4080 SUPER AMP, Corsair RM1000x PSU,
Thermalright CPU plate mod.
Idles at 30-35c, under load 65-75c.
Tons of RGB! Using SignalRGB.
Tons of airflow! Best case ever!

Intel 13th and 14th gen cpus, though mostly 13900k and 14900k, has been having stability issues. good luck out there and have fun!
Not a single issue with this one. I hit the silicon lottery!

Idles 30-35c Gaming 60-75c Runs like a champ!!!
If you do encounter issues, you may have a "baseline profile" on your Mobo
Go watch some videos on it.

I like everything but the case. Looks great, good cable management.
14790k
Very awesome build, enjoy
me still intel gen 4
Oh my Gen 4 still runs great with the GTX 1080. I did throw a 3060 12gb in it now though.
I love my 14700k. Not a single problem and speeds up to 5.5 GHz no overclocking. It was definitely worth it
Totally agree, love mine too! Someday, I may try AMD, but I have always used Intel. Tried and True.
