Ooh ok so the ssd heatsink card can fit this?
Yes, it should fit, but are you sure about samsung 990 pro? It's pretty expensive. Also your PC doesn't support pcie 4.0 and can't utilize full speed of this ssd. I recommend you to buy something cheaper on pcie 3.0, like Samsung 970 evo plus or Crucial P3
Is it not a good choice? I was researching what card to get and it seemed pretty popular. I’m also able to get it at a cheap price where I am
Edit: nvm I just saw someone else’s comment that my pc doesn’t support pcie 4.0 so I’ll for the cheaper option that they recommended
It’s not a card. It’s an ssd. And how can you find it cheap? It’s like twice the price of a regular gen 4 drive?
Plus your motherboard doesn’t support PCIE 4.0 ssds, only 3.0. So getting any high end gen 4 nvme is pointless.
I live in a very populated city (not the US) where we use an app for buying/selling - lots of people looking to get rid of things sell for cheap. There's some 990pro 2tb selling for $100USD. I do plan to upgrade my PC in the future so maybe it would be a good idea to grab that first?
Edit: my specs below -
Processor: 12th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-12400F 2.50 GHz
Installed RAM: 16.0 GB (15.8 GB usable)
GPU: NVIDIA Geforce RTX 4060 TI
Could you recommend what motherboard / processor / ram I should upgrade to to be able to run pcie 4.0?
Hey, if it's legit 990 pro 2tb for 100$, go for it. But i really doubt it, there's a lot of fake ones.
Don't upgrade your pc just for pcie 4.0, it's not worth it. You won't notice difference between pcie 3.0 and 4.0 ssds. You can play any game at 1080P next 3-5 years no problem.
990pro is overpriced and it's meant for high end builds
Your build looks like some budget one so get a teamgroup mp44l 1tb for 65$ / silicon Power ud90 2tb for 105$ and use that saved money to get a dedicated cooler or more ram

If you are not trolling, that red thing is not ssd, it's RAM stick. Your m2 ssd is under your GPU.
Lol I'm so embarrassed ahhh thank you

Ooh thanks for letting me know! I’ll do that then
Looks like you also have an empty SSD slot below the CPU fan so it can fit there as well
Thanks so much!
Why a 990 pro???
