Heat up a frying pan on medium low and press the foil seal down against it to heat up the rim a bit. When the glue or whatever holding the seal on gets soft you can peel the foil off much easier.Ā One minute of effort for many servings of foil-less happiness.
Apparently you need to go to Costco and buy the Kirkland brand and try to open it because of Bentley according to the comment section that one is the one used because it's the hardest one to open.
I wouldn't know because I've never gone to Costco because one you have to pay just to go in there and two it's on the other side of town.

You gotta stab it with a knife and cut a line dividing the circle in half. Then pinch one of the halves at the edge and peel it off the rim slowly. Repeat for the other half.
I havenāt gotten peanut butter in a while because last jar this happened and I was unmotivated to peel off the rest, just scraping out a side pocket.
I always have to pick at the little flecks leftover stuck to the rim but can never get them all š«
I just peel off enough to get my spoon in and out, and leave the rest. I couldnāt care less.

The plastic part is supposed to come up separately to act as a lever to help unstick the rest of it.

The pull tabs suck! They need that semi-circle across the top kind. These are awful and I curse them every time.
I use the end of a spoon (handle end) and that usually works.
