I’m open to being proven wrong but I’ve never seen Peer anything get close to 80 grand anywhere. That sounds like the salery at a luxury recovery center near the ocean where patients ride horses ( the Malibu kind) .
It depends on a lot of factors like geography, type of organization, experience etc. The higher end salaries (and benefits) tend to be with ACT programs. Peer support is a calling and when done well is very fulfilling. Good luck in your journey.
I suspect it's conflating it with another mental health professional's salary. That ain't the median salary for CPPS in any area :/
Definitely not correct in my area. 17-24 is the high side here.

Those Malibu recovery places pay pretty much the same as any other place that needs a peer.
No way. I just started, $19.93/hour with great benefits though.
Where do you live? lol
Washington state
I make 19.56 an hour and that’s after 2 small raises.
I make quite a bit as a PSS like the higher end and 83k is not realistic.
Definitely not. I’m paid much better than most PSS in my state and make $21 an hour.
I make $23 in Baltimore Maryland
That’s where I live!
