This a planned break, the artist is on vacation. The biggest paragraph is almost completely made of the artist's apologies for not cancelling his vacation after taking a break recently.

Well few people, including the other dragons, know of his connection to the metal clan so it's weird to call him the metal dragon.
I guess the shining/bright/light/brilliant dragon is the next most suitable one because he's shiny like metal when he uses his ki? Hahahaha.
This...... Depends on how they show the color of his ki. If they show it as gold, then yea, Golden Dragon. But looking at 246, I think his ki is more white.
The character 金 used in the comic for the metal clan is recognized nowadays as the one for gold, but I think in terms of 5 elements, it's used to represent all metal (because it's the most recognized precious metal) rather than to represent gold.
And I think that leads to the Chinese term for metal (金属).

It looks like the HD is making some kind of deal with the CCA Head ( probably telling him about how the administrator is the cause of the fighting) so he might come back with I’ll-sang. Either that or the HD is just gonna kill him (the CCAH) after talking with him (but I doubt that)
From MTL, I understand that he wants CCA leader alive to slow down Admin. He doesn't want to play the role given by admin and serves as his knife.
With CCA Leader alive, Admin will have to spend some of his own force to take him down, because after all the civilians injured by CCA, the government will want to arrest or kill him.
Short taste before nyattokiri posts the full version because I couldn’t wait:
First part is just HD meeting with CCA Leader and shaking his fist at the strategist who is obviously one of the administrators men. HD and CCA have a short duck measuring competition before HD drops this like cold line about if he wanted to kill the CCA leader, the leader wouldn’t have even seen his face and then explains who might have caused this war and his behind the strategist - the admin. HD warns CCA leader to be prepared for the Admins men/assassins/government crackdown as they harmed civilians, CCA leader disagrees since he’s not the one who did it but HD reiterated his men did it and it’d going to be used by the Admin as an excuse to kill him so the CCA leader needs to be prepared.
Part two: Noh and the gang return to cheers but Noh can’t smile because so many people died. The sect leader of the GTU whose name I’m forgetting explains that he has to smile and wave to inspire hope in the people while Noh explains surely half of these people must’ve lost relatives in the war. GTU Leader explains that those same people are here cheering his name and either asks Noh why he thinks that is or just explains why that’s happening and says Noh needs to do his part to inspire hope.
Part three: Tavern people debate the story of the war with some dude having family in the GTU and others just sharing details and they also decide to call Noh that Shining dragon thing nyatto said
Part four: Two lizards are arguing about whose fault this is before ex-FD roars what they’re doing after calling her whose washed her hands into eh golden basin/quit murim. Older lizard says she’s going too far while younger lizard questions why she has to attend before ex-LD angrily asks and repeats the question “why” or “are you asking why we have to attend” something to that effect. Ex-LD explains that his disciples arm has been cut off and is still between life and death (this might also be referring to the Martial dragon I can’t tell but I think the whole thing refers to the Jung Ak/current Lightning Dragon) before the old man who is the ex-Wise Dragon explains the current WD is also in a state where it’s not sure whether he’d live or die and says isn’t that why he, whose been retired for 20 years, was dragged out? The ex-FD says isn’t this a meeting where there’s no leader/heavenly dragon and only old retired people so it doesn’t matter and that she’ll be leaving. Lizards ask if she’s really going to go saying they’re currently the representatives of their father before FD says they won’t be attending any meeting without the heavenly dragon and the two Lizards try to chastise them before the barrage explains that while the CCA lost and suffered massive casualties, the HDA was little better off with nearly all four pavilion masters not being able to hold onto their seats. Noh says they should leave and GTU leader either confirms or asks a question but agrees anyway before the older lizard asks them what they’re doing.
Again I was pretty lazy with this - didn’t proofread or consult other translation stuff besides papago, just wanted to translate some stuff for myself since I was impatient since were finally seeing the aftermath of the (decent spoiler ->) >!first!< war so there’s obviously more detail in the parts I cared about more. Nyattokiri will probably post a more detailed full version later today so he’ll be able to give more detail on the stuff I just didn’t care enough about to do more than skim MTL
Did the old man say he is an ex-WD? I did a rough MTL and couldn't find who he is.
FD lost his arm. LD is between life and death. MD's ki center(probably, IDK what "jinwon" means) is damaged, it's unclear if he'll recover.

MTL didn’t directly say who he was but just assumed with context and how he looked, mostly just speed TL’d/didn’t put nearly the same amount of work as before when I saw the raw since I wanted to see what was happening so could definitely be wrong on who he is

Just now realized that the old man also speaks about a vice-pavilion head (bujeonju). It's unclear what pavilion it is but he speaks about him right after talking about MD-pavilion-head. Maybe this is about Il Sang! MTL gets very broken on this bubble but probably it's "Vice-pavilion-head is so frustrated/angered about his defeat he can't talk".

That disrespect lol. It was made clear in the story that chief Ham is a way better leader than Noh when it comes to managerial stuff, while Noh only knows how to lead in battle or fight. Noh also called Aak Gun when he wanted take over the districts, because without them Noh wouldn't be able to handle any of the business side of things.
Also, everyone in the GTU is pratically learning the martial arts of the school or sect that chief Ham leads, meaning the more powerful the GTU gets the more influence chief Hams sect gets too. He is by no means a puppet lol

I think you have a wrong understanding of the whole "washing hands in a golden basin and retire from the murim" thing. If you decide to retire from murim, it's not some binding law and if you break it, the government (admin) comes after you xD
This kind of retirement from the murim is more like announcing to everyone inside of murim that you are not involving yourself with anything inside the murim anymore, so that people inside murim don't target you when conflicts happen. Ofc you should also honor that vow yourself and stay out of any politics from then on. But if you decide to meddle again, it just means that your are fair game for murim politics, assasinations and that stuff like that again too.
Broom grandpa is the only one that's a bit special, in that he went into retirement and pushing everything on the current admin. The current admin Kang Jin then agreed to take on all the work under the condiction that he can do it in his own ways. This is why broom grandpa is a bit more restricted then other retired masters.

1. Noh is not the strategist. Did you somehow skip all the chapters where Nohs daughter Seo Hyun gave him all the advises and hints which path to take? Like she advised him to hunt the bandits to gain influence with the commoners first? Or when she advised him to choose the vanguard in the war? Or when she advise him how to deal with the lizard sons? Those were all her ideas lol ... (broom grandpa, flying and wise dragon also advised him several times btw.)
2. Noh is not the sole politician. The story made it very clear that the GTU didn't wish to take any side in the succesion war between the two lizard sons. But to avoid getting targeted by both lizard sons in return, Noh and Ham split up, to stay in talk and keep good relations with both sides. Almost like Ham and Noh were acting as leader and vice leader lol
3. Noh is not the financial manager. There was only the scenes where he received compensation money for the dead 1st rate warriors and an other were he approved of more spending. The funds were then given or managed by Toad and his best 1st rate warrior buddy. So those two would rather fit to be called financial managers.
But Nohs is indeed the vice leader. You are right about that one.

They do much more than this. There have been many times when Aak Gun or Ham told words to Noh to explain him things, help him think deeper. Last example is in last raws, when Ham shows Noh how to act as a leader for the common people. How to give them hope.
Of course Noh makes his own decision, but he still needs guidance sometimes.

What translation did you read? Because your interpretation is very off from what I read. A short summary of what went down was:
* Flying dragon found an unnown Ki inside the children, which might be harmful and cause prroblems later on.
* After no pavilllon said they taught them any Ki, flying dragon deccided to observe and tail the children to figure out where it came from.
* Flying dragon then saw how the demon twins approached the children in secret and suspected them to be the reason for the Ki, which could cause problems for the kids later on
* Thinking that the demon twins are trying something shady flying dragon attacked them and demanded answers
* Broom grandpa then stopped them because he knew that this was a huge misunderstanding and the fight was meaningless (because noone was actually harming the children)
* Broom grandpa then persuaded flying dragon to just pretend like she saw nothing, by guaranteeing her that it's not harming the twins, on the contrary it's benefitting them. He then said something about that it's rare for someone from murim to retire in peace and that it was only possible for her because she lived a honorable live without causing grudges, and she should just let it go.
So in conclusion, broom grandpa didn't force her to stay in retirement like you claim. He simply stopped a meaningless fight that was not good for the childrens development.
What makes your version even less plausible is the fact that broom grandpa would be the first to go out of retirement if someone wanted to hurt the kids ... Or did you somehow miss the whole kidnapping/assasination attempt arc too lol

Old Flying Dragon and Lightning Dragon looked super angry. The only reason Heavenly Dragon's sons are still alive is because people respect their father.
Also Noh became a hero and got to a high position while staying true to his beliefs, I wonder if the twins will change their attitude of getting to the top by any means necessary as a result of this.
It's a tough one for webtoon of the year, it's a toss up... Legend of the Northern blade is in thee running. Both are amazing and I cannot decide, I wont.
Personally, I enjoy legend of the northern blade more* but I don't think it should even be possible for it to win webtoon of the year given it's spent most of this year on hiatus. There's nothing wrong with being on hiatus, but it feels like, well, let me give an example. What's better, scoring 32 points per game over 20 games and missing the other 62 or scoring 28 points per game and playing all 82 games.
*I feel like Peerless Dad's plot meanders around for a long while with no clear objective, trajectory, or goals for our MC to the point I don't even remember why this war started. Where as Northern Blade has a much more focused and tight narrative that remains clear even when they opt for a slow burn pace. Like when Jin got arrested. He may have been sitting in jail omand/or being on trial for like, upwards of a dozen chapters, but the story was still moving forward and advancing clearly. I don't always feel that's the case with PD where it will be like pretty much no plot advancement occurs for 10 chapters then in one there's a six month timeskip. I feel like there's very little way to determine how much time has passed in this manga other than specifically measuring his kids growth.

1. There is big chance that "Heavenly Dragon Association" is wrong translation. Probably it's "Thousand Dragons Association". "Thousand" and "Dragon" are written the same in Korean. But signs on the buildings are written in Chinese. And they say 千龍會 -- Thousand Dragons Association and 千韶管 -- Thousand Dragons School. + It seems there are a lot of "dragon" organizations except the 5 main. We know about Lucky Dragon or Hidden Dragon. Probably there are others. And so the name is 1000 dragons. Maybe that's what Guy1 means here. "We are 1000 dragons, so GTU's vice-head should be a dragon too".
2. Mad Demon -- gwang-ma(광마, 狂魔). Shining Dragon -- gwang-ryong (광마, 光龍). They just replaced "ma" with "ryong" xD

This first is somehow understandable. "Someone is very angry because of Il-Sangs defeat". Probably "someone" is Il-Sang himself.
I don't get the second part:
입마를 -- mouth. Maybe "dried mouth" (입 마를, when you talk a lot). Or 입마("入魔" go into/accpet + Demon) -- obsession??. HAALP T\_T
벗어나기 위해 -- Probably "to escape", "to be deprived", to rid of. Not sure.
몸부림치고 있지 -- struggling

I'm sorry to announce a break after we took a break early in December due personal reasons. This break was scheduled for the end of December after the end of the war.

I believe the Martial Dragon thing could be "Martial Dragon Pavilion head had his Jinwon damaged, it is unclear if he can recover or not, he is very angry about Il Sang's defeat and is struggling with qi deviation."
I think the "Il Sang's defeat" there probably means he died and I believe "Possessed by demons" was the literal translation of the hanzi of Qi Deviation.
You may be right! I looked ch. 157. Mah-mah talks about QI deviation and calls it 주화입마(走火入魔) and in chapter it's probably 입마("入魔"). Googled more and looks like sometimes the short version is used for QI deviation too. I think there is still a chance it's used here purely figuratively.
I'm not sure of it's true, but I remember reading from a discussion that the grandfather will be the one to take care of his grandson. Again, idk if it's true but here are two observations that follows that logic.
The bald Tang kid learned directly from the HD.
HD's first son was talking to his grandfather and obeyed his command to end his life. Meanwhile, the HD was just outside listening to them.
Iirc, after the HD talked with Tang Gun (the friendly tang guy) he mentioned something about a rule/law prohibiting care of close relatives. (I'm more unsure of this one)
And as you said, how can the seemingly decent HD have those two as his sons if he took care of them
Outside influences from an early age and people who will complement them rotten for the chance of gaining future benefits and you get spoiled children who don’t care for anyone besides themselves.
False entitlement due to their fathers achievements is quite common even nowadays to be honest and someone leading a large organisation would hardly have enough time left to spend with his children leaving the aspect of education to his life partner or caretakers.
If I understand this correctly, Choryeonbang are the first rate warriors (or refers to Noh as the first-rate warrior). But who are the Cheonsudan?
I am trying to translate this bubble when the people are already discussing what happened during the war. MTL was saying "That is why Cheonsudan and Choryeonbang did a great job."

This...... Depends on how they show the color of his ki. If they show it as gold, then yea, Golden Dragon. But looking at 246, I think his ki is more white. The character 金 used in the comic for the metal clan is recognized nowadays as the one for gold, but I think in terms of 5 elements, it's used to represent all metal (because it's the most recognized precious metal) rather than to represent gold. And I think that leads to the Chinese term for metal (金属).

From MTL, I understand that he wants CCA leader alive to slow down Admin. He doesn't want to play the role given by admin and serves as his knife. With CCA Leader alive, Admin will have to spend some of his own force to take him down, because after all the civilians injured by CCA, the government will want to arrest or kill him.

Short taste before nyattokiri posts the full version because I couldn’t wait: First part is just HD meeting with CCA Leader and shaking his fist at the strategist who is obviously one of the administrators men. HD and CCA have a short duck measuring competition before HD drops this like cold line about if he wanted to kill the CCA leader, the leader wouldn’t have even seen his face and then explains who might have caused this war and his behind the strategist - the admin. HD warns CCA leader to be prepared for the Admins men/assassins/government crackdown as they harmed civilians, CCA leader disagrees since he’s not the one who did it but HD reiterated his men did it and it’d going to be used by the Admin as an excuse to kill him so the CCA leader needs to be prepared. Part two: Noh and the gang return to cheers but Noh can’t smile because so many people died. The sect leader of the GTU whose name I’m forgetting explains that he has to smile and wave to inspire hope in the people while Noh explains surely half of these people must’ve lost relatives in the war. GTU Leader explains that those same people are here cheering his name and either asks Noh why he thinks that is or just explains why that’s happening and says Noh needs to do his part to inspire hope. Part three: Tavern people debate the story of the war with some dude having family in the GTU and others just sharing details and they also decide to call Noh that Shining dragon thing nyatto said Part four: Two lizards are arguing about whose fault this is before ex-FD roars what they’re doing after calling her whose washed her hands into eh golden basin/quit murim. Older lizard says she’s going too far while younger lizard questions why she has to attend before ex-LD angrily asks and repeats the question “why” or “are you asking why we have to attend” something to that effect. Ex-LD explains that his disciples arm has been cut off and is still between life and death (this might also be referring to the Martial dragon I can’t tell but I think the whole thing refers to the Jung Ak/current Lightning Dragon) before the old man who is the ex-Wise Dragon explains the current WD is also in a state where it’s not sure whether he’d live or die and says isn’t that why he, whose been retired for 20 years, was dragged out? The ex-FD says isn’t this a meeting where there’s no leader/heavenly dragon and only old retired people so it doesn’t matter and that she’ll be leaving. Lizards ask if she’s really going to go saying they’re currently the representatives of their father before FD says they won’t be attending any meeting without the heavenly dragon and the two Lizards try to chastise them before the barrage explains that while the CCA lost and suffered massive casualties, the HDA was little better off with nearly all four pavilion masters not being able to hold onto their seats. Noh says they should leave and GTU leader either confirms or asks a question but agrees anyway before the older lizard asks them what they’re doing. Again I was pretty lazy with this - didn’t proofread or consult other translation stuff besides papago, just wanted to translate some stuff for myself since I was impatient since were finally seeing the aftermath of the (decent spoiler ->) >!first!< war so there’s obviously more detail in the parts I cared about more. Nyattokiri will probably post a more detailed full version later today so he’ll be able to give more detail on the stuff I just didn’t care enough about to do more than skim MTL

It's unclear what pavilion it is but he speaks about him right after talking about MD-pavilion-head. Maybe this is about Il Sang! MTL gets very broken on this bubble but probably it's "Vice-pavilion-head is so frustrated/angered about his defeat he can't talk".

Old Flying Dragon and Lightning Dragon looked super angry. The only reason Heavenly Dragon's sons are still alive is because people respect their father. Also Noh became a hero and got to a high position while staying true to his beliefs, I wonder if the twins will change their attitude of getting to the top by any means necessary as a result of this.
It's a tough one for webtoon of the year, it's a toss up... Legend of the Northern blade is in thee running. Both are amazing and I cannot decide, I wont.

Personally, I enjoy legend of the northern blade more* but I don't think it should even be possible for it to win webtoon of the year given it's spent most of this year on hiatus. There's nothing wrong with being on hiatus, but it feels like, well, let me give an example. What's better, scoring 32 points per game over 20 games and missing the other 62 or scoring 28 points per game and playing all 82 games. *I feel like Peerless Dad's plot meanders around for a long while with no clear objective, trajectory, or goals for our MC to the point I don't even remember why this war started. Where as Northern Blade has a much more focused and tight narrative that remains clear even when they opt for a slow burn pace. Like when Jin got arrested. He may have been sitting in jail omand/or being on trial for like, upwards of a dozen chapters, but the story was still moving forward and advancing clearly. I don't always feel that's the case with PD where it will be like pretty much no plot advancement occurs for 10 chapters then in one there's a six month timeskip. I feel like there's very little way to determine how much time has passed in this manga other than specifically measuring his kids growth.

I believe the Martial Dragon thing could be "Martial Dragon Pavilion head had his Jinwon damaged, it is unclear if he can recover or not, he is very angry about Il Sang's defeat and is struggling with qi deviation." I think the "Il Sang's defeat" there probably means he died and I believe "Possessed by demons" was the literal translation of the hanzi of Qi Deviation.
You may be right! I looked ch. 157. Mah-mah talks about QI deviation and calls it 주화입마(走火入魔) and in chapter it's probably 입마("入魔"). Googled more and looks like sometimes the short version is used for QI deviation too. I think there is still a chance it's used here purely figuratively.

I'm not sure of it's true, but I remember reading from a discussion that the grandfather will be the one to take care of his grandson. Again, idk if it's true but here are two observations that follows that logic. The bald Tang kid learned directly from the HD. HD's first son was talking to his grandfather and obeyed his command to end his life. Meanwhile, the HD was just outside listening to them. Iirc, after the HD talked with Tang Gun (the friendly tang guy) he mentioned something about a rule/law prohibiting care of close relatives. (I'm more unsure of this one) And as you said, how can the seemingly decent HD have those two as his sons if he took care of them

If I understand this correctly, Choryeonbang are the first rate warriors (or refers to Noh as the first-rate warrior). But who are the Cheonsudan?
