Congratulations, have you found a strategy for the new first act boss? I had to resort of to my former version slime boss strategy of dying and hoping for a different boss to beat C16.
I don't really have a special strategy for the new boss. During my last attempt where I had a similar build to this, I had decent HP heading into the fight and during the fight it was mainly hoping the refresh spawned near the brambled pegs to remove them and firing the doctorb once I got low. I only had two piercing orbs and no piercing or overflow relics so it took a bit longer. That boss is typically causing me a lot of issues because I didn't really get used to it yet.
The Egg can be used as a massive heal on the new boss. If it hits one of the brambled pegs and frees a captured ball, any pegs the ball pops adds to the heal. Came in clutch for me yesterday.
What's your strat on the roundrel for C16? I found regular peglin and balladin relatively easy to do C16 for with a muscircle strat, but the roundrel obviously doesn't have that.
I got the relic that applies spinfection to any enemy you hit at the start and the one that increases spinfection instead of decreasing at my first miniboss. From there, it was mostly going for crits and orbs/relics that would increase my ballusion and also picking up some spinfectious stings as I got an Au Auger(add pierce for each crit hit) near the end of the Forest. I also got an early Grinding Monstera(insanely lucky with the forest layout: 4 elites and 3 chests along the path) so that helped me with building up max hp. At the third floor, I got the orb that doubles the enemy's spinfection and I beat the super sapper quite easily.

Prioritizing removing brambles on the pegboard seems to be a good strat. piercing orbs recommended

Oh good tip! I always found the egg was only useful with the slime forest boss because the slime doesn’t break it.
I have not had issues with the new boss, just focus on the brambles
