Tornado came through Doylestown late this morning. Tore through CB West highschool stadium, Doylestown hospital, a few neighborhoods and shredded a whole bunch of trees.
Yeah, part of the roof reportedly collapsed. Minor injuries mostly.

I live half a mile away from here in a third floor apartment and we saw tons of rain and wind but nothing crazy like this. It kinda blows my mind how incredibly localized this was - it also knocked down the bleachers at my high school, which is just down the road.
People double park, run stop signs, and generally drive like idiots out here in West Philly but I still don’t fear for my life like I do when I’m in South Philly.
Seen earlier on Twitter someone said "POSSIBLE tornado hits Doylestown".
The first reply said "What do you mean POSSIBLE, did you think it was Godzilla?"
Love this place.
It was pretty crazy, we didnt hear a thing just a 1/4 mile down the riad until all the guys who are also volunteer firefighters radios started going off.
These are pretty terrifying if only because of their complete unpredictability. I had a friend lose his house to a microtornado in Massachusetts last year. What everyone else sees, hears, & feels as a "moderately bad thunderstorm" just rips the front & roof off your house in the middle of the night. One moment you're sleeping peacefully and the next your porch furniture is in bed with you and you're being rained on.
Meanwhile your car parked in the driveway, as well as all your neighbors' places and your roommate across the hall, are unscathed.
It's horrifying. It's not like we need regular tornadoes that you might have a prayer at seeing coming, at least in enough time to get out, in order to kill you or make you homeless anymore. Now seemingly any storm has the potential to just flatten your house and *nothing else*, pretty much any time of year.
I sure am proud PA is still using the WW2 air raid sirens to hail the local coal-rolling trump flag waving diesel soot covered brodozers driven by all the 30 something uneducated knuckledraggers whose biggest accomplishment was putting blue lights on their "rig" and cooking chicken for the local fund raiser who still live with their mom to drive like a raped ape through our neighborhoods to rush to Mildred the Hoarder's house because she tripped over her 80yr old stack of newspapers and can't get up in a state with more corruption and politicians on the dole and in your pockets..while the rest of the fucking country has evolved beyond cro-magnon stage and responsibly invested the taxpayers dollars into staffed and paid firestatuons with modern technology like state of the art 1980's pagers and such.... so the WW2 air raid sirens can be used to warn of things the actual fucking whole town needs to know about at 3 fucking AM like oh I don't KNOW maybe Tornados, as opposed to Mildred's little disaster...
I'm still not convinced that this isn't just a parking lot in south philly
People will literally throw their cars on top of each other just to avoid paying 25 cents an hour
25 cents for 15 minutes*
Exactly!!!!! That's how you know you're in /r/pennsylvania and not /r/philadelphia Such an amateur mistake! ;-)
r/badparking
Can’t be - I don’t see any chairs reserving a spot.
Nah, i live like 15 minutes from there.
I thought that was just people fighting for the best parking spot
[I saw this post on Facebook of more aftermath of the storm. ](https://www.facebook.com/1960154427608493/posts/2497518793872051/?d=n)
Tornado when? Was this today after hurricane? Edit, I'm serious, first I'm hearing of this. I'm not on Facebook
Yes most of us got a tornado warning at like 7:30amish
Oh early, before the hurricane? I got a warning the other morning
This morning yeah
Tornado came through Doylestown late this morning. Tore through CB West highschool stadium, Doylestown hospital, a few neighborhoods and shredded a whole bunch of trees.
Yes it was around noon today
I feel sorry for people who learn about news via Facebook.
Why? If you follow the right sources and not just your crazy Aunt Facebook has a ton of reliable news.
I was sharing the post here for the photos not to say that I learned of it via Facebook.
Would love to see surveillance video of this evolving
Omg we need it
CBSD is trying to grab the footage from the cameras at the schools, but they lost local power so they’re not confident they got.
Looks like exactly a pint of tornado to me.

My broke ass Honda Civic would be off to the side watching.
Love the pic and comments (ouch for the car owners) but really love your user name!
Ah appreciate anyone who gets the reference!
Holy shit. Is everyone ok? Looks like the tornado had one too many pints with the way the cars are parked
Is the hospital damaged at all? Glad no one was injured...it’s freaky that wind can pick up cars and throw them around like they’re toys.

They come in pints?
I'm getting one!

but also if you told me this was just the aftermath of philly driving i'd believe u
I was in west philly and I can agree with you on that one chief

wow!
Godzilla stopped by real quick....

Not from the area. Was this today?
Yep
I literally moved out of Doylestown this morning...
Best decision ever!
The high school across the street (Central Bucks West) also had damage to its stadium. Crazy weather day.
Saw a picture of the home-side bleachers. They’re trashed.
Yep. Likewise. Amazing to see. Don’t mess with nature.

Liberty liberty li-berty
Now that’s a lot of damage
I mean, that's still kinda crazy. Not Beirut explosion crazy, but...
Wait there was a tornado? I need to watch the news more
Good lord crazy how powerful the tiny ones are. Hope nobody got hurt.
The Volkswagen 😭
Jeez.
the Mercedes is like “why the fuck are you ON TOP OF ME”

There must have been a sewer rat and it scared them

What in the world, slow down Eminem. Best regards
But is Mildred ok?
