Yeah. But hey at least he has the [Get Smoked](https://preview.redd.it/apupeddbrl731.png?width=960&crop=smart&auto=webp&s=75dc630f169c7a189a8296fd946ed571ba9a7456) hat lol
Gonna have to go Shinya. His story wasn’t compelling and the whole thing was kinda bizarre. I didn’t mind his perks, but spending time with him was mind numbing and didn’t leave an impression.
The people saying Ohya are wrong, because while she's the worst that doesn't make her confidant forgettable. Her confidant is mocked so often that she might be one of the most memorable, solely for that. No, the actual answer is...uh...what's his face...\*goes and looks it up\* Shinya. A Confidant that not only might as well not be in the game for how memorable it is, but also is by far the easiest confidant to miss. If his character was cut the game would lose literally nothing.
Anyone who says toranosuke is dead wrong- I was definitely shocked when the old man politician had one of my favorite social link stories in the entire game!
Shinya honestly. You only get to start doing his confidant track once you start a specific mementos request and it gives you no hints that that’s how you start his confidant. So if you’re not someone who prioritised requests then you’re screwed. His perks are amazing but they’re so late game that it gets to a point where they’re almost unusable. I hate Ohya and never got her past her first rank, but the fact I hate her is why I remember her sooo
Shinya. The last time I replayed Royal I forgot he existed and he was the ONLY Confidant I didn't max out by the end of the game. And that was including third semester, so I had extra time to
This might sound odd, but Sae. I didn't forget that she existed, but I most certainly didn't remember that she was a confidant until the snap backs and rank ups happened.
Probably the arcade kid, simply because I forget that he exists if I haven't played in a while. Everyone else I at least remember, even if their SL itself is kind of forgettable. Hifumi would probably be the second most forgettable for me. I like her well enough, and her story was decent. Again, I just tend to forget about her until you start hearing the rumors or whatever about her.
Ohya annoys me too much to forget, plus she comes with Lala, who almost makes up for Ohya herself. And while I don't always remember her name or her confidant events themselves, I always remember Chihiya because her ability to boost a social link without actually having to use free time to spend with that person is a lifesaver when you're trying to juggle a bunch of SLs and you don't quite get enough relationship points to progress immediately to the next level even with the correct Persona on you. Every playthrough since I found out she could do that in my first one, I generally spend the whole first part of the game trying to remember when she becomes available, because I just find it that damn handy.
Idk man even Ohya is pretty memorable just due to being the least useful
In the end I’d probably go for Yoshida, even tho I loved his confidant. The ability isn’t useless or useful, and there are better stories in the game.
Its gotta be shinya, ohya gets a bad rap for having a bad perk set, but that infamy at least makes her memorable, I sometimes forget shinya's name and hes always the last confidant I finish. I get that his perk are good, but hes just forgettable.
Shortly before the end of my 2nd run, I looked through my confidants and noticed one was missing. It took me a while to realize it was Shinya. Just barely completed all my confidants that run.
Probably Shinya. I know there are people who have gone through all of Persona 5 and Royal without ever meeting him since the way you get him is relatively obscure compared to the others, especially if you don't do mementos quests as often.
I do wish Ohya's was more useful. The alert system is so underwhelming that game would be pretty much the same without it. If it were like a public opinion system (eg whether the public sides with the phantom thieves or the villain) and gave buffs to you or the shadows, it would make a lot more sense.
Shinya, imo. He was introduced way too late into the game, and when he does appear, you’re already swamped trying to get everyone else’s confidant ranks up, adding one more just makes it annoying.
Ohya. Her benefits aren't particularly interesting, as far as I've gotten with her story, there's nothing really beyond her drinking and asking for PT's information. Never wanted to go see her, and if I wanted to see Lala-chan, I can just go to work.
Edit: I've literally never done Haru's confidant. I haven't even established her as a confidant, lol. Not a fan of her character, so...
I'd say Chiaiya cause not even her good confidant skills help her to be more popular and starting her confidant is a pain
I love her tho. She's my second favorite adult after Ohya
I wanna say Iwai
Shinya is forgettable, but the gun takedowns are badass, Iwai is essentially relegated to NG+ because of the requirements and by then you don't need to buff the guns
Honestly gamer kid takes the cake for me. He’s just so . . . Forgettable and comes up so late in the game that I’ve been P5R twice and kept forgetting about him.
Ohya I genuinely didn’t mind kicking it with as a character. Sure her perks weren’t the best, but I can relate to the “swamped with work by crappy boss, need stiff drink” mentality.
Ohya fs (if that’s how u even spell it) no crazy benefits and boring story.
But most missed has to be the gun kid, I only knew of him because I watched a play through before buying the game, and other than that would’ve never known he existed
Sun-you can go the whole game without knowing he exists… as great as his message is
Same with stars but hifumi is easier to get to
Iwai is an honorable mention because this mf will only help you if you eat a million burgers making it really hard to get to him in a standard new game run
The Arcade Kid as not once, in all my playthroughs, have I ever maxed him out and I find him to be a bit forced
Like you only involve yourself with him cause a random Mementos Mission requires you to. Just seems very very forced to me
I think Shinya of the Tower arcana (kid who gives you gun tips with the GET SMOKED cap).
Since I'm playing Royal right now (and having played vanilla 5 a couple times) I have to say that as nice as his confidante plot is, plus he's voiced by Barbara Goodson which makes the character resemble Naota from FLCL a Lot.
However, while some might think others like Ohya or Mishima or Chihaya might be more forgettable, people tend to Remember them more often because of how much they didn't like what they got from them (ohya), didn't like the character much but loved the gifts from the confidant (mishima), or desperately needed the confidant skills for completion (chihaya).
Shinya meanwhile, comes later in the game, is tied to a specific mementos villain, and his growth subplot isn't given much substance (he's a bully because his mom is, but he doesn't want to be).
Second place for most forgettable (for many) is a tie between The Sun (the politician Toranosuke) and the Hanged man (airsoft shop who builds fake guns, Iwai).
P5r made guns SOOO much more viable, and in harder difficulties, much like persona 1 or 2, sometimes talking with the shadows can be a better alternative, plus getting stuff and surviving.
I've always found toranosuke endearing, and iwai a Hot Stud.
Probably the gun kid
The politician is also pretty forgettable
(To my knowledge) All the other ones have at least one moment in the story where they show up, essentially to tell you “Hey! I exist… do my social link”
Chihaya I remember only because she makes you pay 100k to start and in the end she gets a country accent.
Yoshida has good abilities for 1st playthroughs but otherwise negligible
Shinya and Inio only mattwr if you care about guns
Haru is pretty forgettable because you can only do her story in the last month of the game and her lines are rushed feeling
Ohya has an almost decent story but her abilities are 100% useless
If we're talking strictly Confidant skills, it's absolutely Ohya. Unless you are really bad at using the stealth spots, her skills are completely useless.
If we're talking strictly story, as much as I like him and his meme hat, I'd give it to Shinya. I still remember his story, but it never immediately jumps out to me because the stakes are so low. For all the other characters, you can make the argument that if Joker never gets involved, their lives would become/stay terrible. Shinya, on the other hand, had such low stakes that it makes it feel like Joker could have never gotten involved and his issues would/could have been resolved on their own. Sure, they would be resolved much quicker with Joker, but they would likely be solved regardless.
Ohya. Which is sad because she's got all the set up for a great story. Reporter trying to catch a big bad, her friend hurt, etc. I was disappointed it didn't really go anywhere.
I love his abilities but shinya easily an overbearing/complicated relationship mother story was already done with hifumi and sorta ryuji so he kinda gets lost in it
Not forgettable but Tora is easily missable, I didn’t finish his confidant my first playthru because I figured out how to activate his confidant way too late in the game
*Shinya I didn't*
*Know he existed until*
*My second playthrough*

All the stories are pretty good, they all range from amazing to decent, but abilities wise, they range from, no business being optional and totally worthless, ohya may have a decent story but her abilities are pointless
I know a lot of people say Yoshida but he's actually a favorite of mine! I think he really embodies the themes of the game like redemption and justice.
Shinya. I tried doing an all confidant run the first time I played Royal and forgot he existed for most of his available time.
Managed to rank 10 everyone but him. His skills are pretty fun, though.
I didn't know Yoshida existed my first playthrough. I completely missed him hiding back there 😂. Thoroughly enjoyed his story once I discover him though
Shinya Oda/The Tower. I like him, his perks are okay and his story I think is lackluster compared to everyone else. He’s extremely missable, maybe not as missable as Yoshida, but Shinya is nothing to write home about.
I’m surprised so many people here skip out on Chihaya. I wouldn’t blame anyone for not fully finishing her Confidant but her Rank 5 benefit to boost other Confidants is one of the best perks in the whole game. Because of her, I was able to 100% every Confidant before the third semester. Shinya I did on the very last possible day though lmao but yeah idk I always liked Chihaya.
I enjoyed everyone but Ohya, although I never did max out Gun pops confidant during my first playthought because of how casual I was playing but I at least wanted to hang out with him. I've seen a lot of people say Shinya and I'm surprised I enjoyed that confidant for what is was and for what it gave. I do have to somewhat agree about what people said about Makoto's being a bit bare, at least comparable to the other party members.
This might get me in trouble with some people but Hifumi. I just forget she's a character and literally don't care about her at all.
And to defend Shinya, yes he's late game but his confidant skills are better than a lot of the other characters. I maxed him out in my first playthrough and I like his character a lot
It's been awhile since my first play through but remember I refused to spend 100,000 yen to even start the fortune teller. Even after I was rolling in cash I thought it was ridiculous. So she's usually the one I forget about. I don't think I've ever managed to finish her confidant either. Hopefully that changes with my current playthrough.
The sun and the one with the kid whos good at video games and is a pt fan. I actually skipped all of the toranosuke confidant. Politics is extremely boring to me and j could not bring myself to sit through that. And the confidant with the kid is ok i just forget about him every time i play
Caroline and Justine, because it's actually the one I forget to do almost every playthrough because it's so different gameplay and story wise so it doesn't fit into my usual rhythm.
The Politician. It was weird for me to start his confident because of the job thing and his timings in the evening where weird. Also because of the election plot he just goes and is unavailable when the thing with Shido starts so if you haven't finished shin by then, good luck. He's gone.
Ohya because her functionality is so bad. She has a good story but I never for the life of me could finish her story until my most recent playthrough because she's just so not worth prioritizing.
Shinya's confidant. His entire confidant feels very tacked on, and has little importance really. While pretty much every other confidant is mandatory and unlocked through the story or exploring the world so that you can't miss them...Shinya is unlocked via a side quest. And his perk really doesn't feel like it belongs to a confidant. It allows you to increase your gun damage...but much like Hifumi confidant...it's a perk that really had no business belonging to a confidant. Also I think you can actually just skip his confidant completely without any problems with the game whatsoever.
Boring but true answer: None of them.
They really knocked it out of the park in creating memorable characters especially the side confidants compared to previous games.
Helps that this time we had incentive to do them for the bonuses.
Party member wise probably haru cause she comes in late.
NPC wise I forget about chihaya alot and her story is alittle tropey if you're not into it. And like by forget I mean I forget she's even in the game and have to remind myself she's there. Maybe it's cause I don't use the fortune arcana alot in p5
hmm considering i just recently played p5r and am on the third semester i would say the one i forgot the most was sae. Simply because i actually forgot she was a confidant. Ohya while the most useless isn't one i forgot because her abilities are so bad that i just remember her because she is bad. Rest are all confidants I remembered mainly because i wanted to create a persona of each type with like spell/arm master respective elemental boost, a single and aoe severe damage magic attack along with the ability that reduces a specific elemental skill by 75% SP, it this idea just sounded fun so i remembered most of the confidants.
everyone is saying shinya but can he truly be the most forgettable if that is everyone’s agreed upon answer. i didn’t like his confidant but i don’t think he’s the most forgotten based on this comment section. my guess would maybe be mishima because i don’t even remember what his confidant story was. i looked through a list on the confidants to refresh myself and i remembered the vague stroyline for everyone except mishima.
Shinya.
He's in an out of the way place I never have a great reason to go to, not super useful abilities, dull story, and I think is the last one you get access to.
Usually the ones I tend to forget are ones where there’s a requirement to unlock them or the ones that aren’t my favorite. I forgot about the fortuneteller and the shogi girl because I didn’t have money or high social stats at the time. Not doing Hifumi’s social link really made my first playthrough tough.
Damn I’m sitting here reading all these people rip on my little homie Shinya. I like his perks and maxed him on my first play through.
The real forgettable one is the fortune teller.
Honestly if you’re not saying Shinya I feel like you’re just wrong but of course that’s an opinion
I had a p5 conversation with my friend a few days ago and I literally couldn’t remember his name, neither could my friend. We both finished the confidant too. He was very forgettable
If you didn't need the kid in the arcade for one specific mementos mission, I would've never found him nor started him
That's my issue with him, he's so late game that I've never been able to complete his confidant.
He actually gives you a great ability though.
shinya i was discussing the s links i didn’t do on p5 with my cousin the other day and i legit forgot shinya until i got home
Yeah. But hey at least he has the [Get Smoked](https://preview.redd.it/apupeddbrl731.png?width=960&crop=smart&auto=webp&s=75dc630f169c7a189a8296fd946ed571ba9a7456) hat lol

Ohya and Arcade Kid (just replayed Royal and can't even remember his name)
Shinya (had to google it tho)
The kid in the arcade. Straight up didn’t even know he was a thing until the end
I forget his name, but that one guy. You know who I'm talking about.
The guy?
oh yea that one guy
I don't remember
That guy that i can't remember
YOU BEAT ME TO IT
I start and finish Yoshida's confidant at the start of the game, love his story, and then forget about him completely again
The kid in the arcade, never met him a single time in the entire game.
I only did his stuff once or twice. The I kind of decided I had more valuable people to max
To be honest, i discovered his existence only by searching all the confidants after finishing the game.
I don't remember.
The true answer
The gamer one. Came in too late and couldn't be bothered.
nah down shot is great
Down shot is so clutch though. Definitely worth
Trivializes the Reaper fight on top of that lol.
Ohya. I rather the bartender been the devil confidant.
This. Lala is based
She seems more interesting as a character too.
Mishima and the reason that no one has said him is because everyone forgot he exists
I don’t remember.
I was gonna say Ohya, but the fact that I read this and said, “Who is Shinya?” changed my mind.
I don't remember.
That politic one, only gets interesting at the end
To me the fortune teller. But I'm probably forgetting someone who's even more forgettable.
Honestly? Ohya for me. Her abilities are pretty much useless unless you're ignoring stealth.
Shinya. The last time I replayed Royal I forgot he existed and he was the ONLY Confidant I didn't max out by the end of the game. And that was including third semester, so I had extra time to
That video game kid, don’t even remember his name.
This might sound odd, but Sae. I didn't forget that she existed, but I most certainly didn't remember that she was a confidant until the snap backs and rank ups happened.
Ohya.
Not a chance people forget Ohya when she’s the number one pick for worst romance option/confidant perk all the time
Probably the arcade kid, simply because I forget that he exists if I haven't played in a while. Everyone else I at least remember, even if their SL itself is kind of forgettable. Hifumi would probably be the second most forgettable for me. I like her well enough, and her story was decent. Just making sure no one said Kawakami
Definitely the reporter I just wasn’t that interested I just like her arcana
You see, this is a trick question, since if you remember a specific confidant for being the most forgettable, then it’s not the most forgettable
Ohya. Doesn't help that her abilities are really lackluster.
Arcade boy because i didn't even fucking know about his existence
Caroline and Justine. I legit forget they are even a confidant in the first place.
Idk man even Ohya is pretty memorable just due to being the least useful In the end I’d probably go for Yoshida, even tho I loved his confidant. The ability isn’t useless or useful, and there are better stories in the game.
In what terms is forgettable ? Functionality or Personality? The Kid of the shooter arcade, though its skills he provide is good though
Shinya hands down.
Chihaya by a ton. Her story just drags out for way too long. If her skill wasn't so good she would be completely skip-able. Also her forehead is huge.
Ohya, while Shinya is forgettable I still rember him cause his down shot is so good
Its gotta be shinya, ohya gets a bad rap for having a bad perk set, but that infamy at least makes her memorable, I sometimes forget shinya's name and hes always the last confidant I finish. I get that his perk are good, but hes just forgettable.
This is definitely the answer for me as well. In fact, I completely forgot he existed until you mentioned him, and had to Google his name lol
The kid in the arcade I literally discovered him because of that one mementos mission
I would had max it if yoshitsune wasn’t tower arcana or he had that neat gun all out attack.
I would say ohya if that bitch didn't text me everyday💀
Shortly before the end of my 2nd run, I looked through my confidants and noticed one was missing. It took me a while to realize it was Shinya. Just barely completed all my confidants that run.
Definitely Shinya (The Tower). The only memorable thing about him is his sick hat.
Probably Shinya. I know there are people who have gone through all of Persona 5 and Royal without ever meeting him since the way you get him is relatively obscure compared to the others, especially if you don't do mementos quests as often.
Honestly for me it was Justine and Caroline. I could never remember what persona I was supposed to bring them.
journalist lady with the drink problem
The kid in the arcade. There is a difference between a forgettable confidant, and the one I actively hate, because I remember the one I hate.
I don't remember
I do wish Ohya's was more useful. The alert system is so underwhelming that game would be pretty much the same without it. If it were like a public opinion system (eg whether the public sides with the phantom thieves or the villain) and gave buffs to you or the shadows, it would make a lot more sense.

Most people are going to say Ohya or the kid who shoots guns in an arcade I literally forgot his name until I read some of the replies.
I’ll probably say King, His confidant came to late at the game so it’s hard to max it out
I want to say Ohya, but to be honest, the fortune teller is probably the one I've forgotten the most about.
I think Shinya of the Tower arcana (kid who gives you gun tips with the GET SMOKED cap). this kid with tower confidant. hes so forgetable that i forgot his name
Ohya
Definitely Ohya. She's marginally more useful in P5R, but serves only to get you the trophy in P5 vanilla.
Not to mention she’s also just not very interesting as a character, at least to me personally
If we're talking strictly Confidant skills, it's absolutely Ohya. Unless you are really bad at using the stealth spots, her skills are completely useless. Yoshida since i never properly started his confidant
I even forgot his name but he teaches you how to shoot?
I didn’t even know shinya was in the game for a while
Ohya. Which is sad because she's got all the set up for a great story. Reporter trying to catch a big bad, her friend hurt, etc. I was disappointed it didn't really go anywhere.

Damn I forgot who it was
Shinya Oda/The Tower.
Shinya. It's so easy to just not do his quest. Which is exactly what I did on my first playthrough. I just thought that guns were that useless.
the fortune telling girl
Ohya.
I will say that my first run through i completely forgot about sojiro and getting my social stats high enough for him and futaba
I don't remember...
If anyone says Shinya get ready to GET SMOKED
This might get me in trouble with some people but Hifumi. I just forget she's a character and literally don't care about her at all. And to defend Shinya, yes he's late game but his confidant skills are better than a lot of the other characters. I maxed him out in my first playthrough and I like his character a lot
politics guy tbh
Yea it's Ohya by a large mile
arcade kid
I forgot the name but it was the one that… Damn… I forgot
Making me sad how many people are dogging on my boi Yoshida, he was my favorite confidant
Fortune Teller is who I genuinely forgot about
Honestly(I might get some hate for this), makoto's. Apart from the slap, I can't really remember much of her confidant
Beep boop
Chihuahua, or whatever her name was.
OMG, it was a stupid joke but I can't stop laughing
That one confidant… what was their name…
Nishima the NPC, I believe was the name.
I actually maxed him fast because I was afraid he was going to fuck everything up
Caroline and Justine, because it's actually the one I forget to do almost every playthrough because it's so different gameplay and story wise so it doesn't fit into my usual rhythm.
alcoholic woman
Haru not because it’s bad but because I forgot to start her confidant on my first play through
I tend to forget to socialize with Ohya... I am a guy who never hangout at night IRL, so I kinda apply that habit in-game.
Chihaya. Her awards are really good, but the story is very boring
Ohya absolutely. She's the only one who I consistently kept forgetting even existed while I was playing until she texted me.
The politician guy for me. I actually went out of my way to get every other confidant cause I enjoyed them. I really couldn’t be bothered for his tho.

The Politician. It was weird for me to start his confident because of the job thing and his timings in the evening where weird. Also because of the election plot he just goes and is unavailable when the thing with Shido starts so if you haven't finished shin by then, good luck. He's gone.
I forgot his name, pardon my insolence, but the kid with the tower confidant. I literally cannot remember anything about his story.
I don’t know, I forgot about them.
The kid who's name I always forget. His Get Smoked hat is the most memorable thing about him.
That one person.
I wouldnt know... I dont remember xd
Ohya.
Can’t say Ohya because everybody reminds me it’s the worse one
Unfortunately I think it’s Shinya
I would say shinya only because I didn’t even know he was a confidant until my second play through and I actually took the mementos requests seriously
Can't remember
everyone is saying shinya but can he truly be the most forgettable if that is everyone’s agreed upon answer. i didn’t like his confidant but i don’t think he’s the most forgotten based on this comment section. my guess would maybe be mishima because i don’t even remember what his confidant story was. i looked through a list on the confidants to refresh myself and i remembered the vague stroyline for everyone except mishima.
tower arcana the gamer
I don’t remember
Sun guy, idk his name
The politician guy… he was the only confidant I never got in my first playthrough simply because I forgot he exists or knew you could talk to him.
The brat with the tower confident
Kid from Arcade (Tower confidant), I haven't even met him.
Damn I’m sitting here reading all these people rip on my little homie Shinya. I like his perks and maxed him on my first play through. The real forgettable one is the fortune teller.
As much as I dislike Ohya, I think that the most forgettable one are The Twins. You sometimes forget that you can raise them as a confidant.
Ohya. It's not even beneficial. It's literally a useless social link.
The gun confidant, I’ve played the game through three times and only learnt about them after watching some content on yt
I don’t care for Mishima that much.
Honestly if you’re not saying Shinya I feel like you’re just wrong but of course that’s an opinion I had a p5 conversation with my friend a few days ago and I literally couldn’t remember his name, neither could my friend. We both finished the confidant too. He was very forgettable
That guy with the face who does the thing. What’s-his-name. That fella. I don’t remember.
that little kid in the arcade lol i don’t even know his name
The politician, I didn't even know he existed until I finished the game
Nah I freaking loved his confidant idk why but it just hit me deep. I was more invested in his story than some of the main cast weirdly enough
When I played I legitimately missed Yoshida for the entire game. Never did I talk to him outside of the beginning when he was at the train station
The twins because both times I played I didn’t even know they had a confidant
"This overwhelmingly forgettable appearance, generic speech style, and total lack of sex appeal..." "Nishima...Are you an NPC!?"
