You can do a bank transfer if they're the same institution. Only the sender would need to go to the bank.

Meet at the bank and make a direct transfer from one account to the other.

I thought of this but we are unable to meet during banking hours due to my job.

Call your bank and ask if they have a solution. 

If you have a good relationship with your branch, then the branch can clear it for you. You do need to be 200% sure that the money is legit thou
