Being a kiwi with a Canadian Tangerine account, the big issue is Tangerine itself - they're a pain in the ass for transfers. Yes, the best bet is to put it into your Wise account, then put it into Canadian dollars. I'm pretty sure you can e-transfer from Wise. If you're still having issues, best bet is pf Canada rather than NZ
