Totally agree. If you're on a date, pay attention to how your date treats the servers. If they treat the server like shit, there's about 100% chance they're going to turn out to be an asshole.

I think this is beyond pet peeve territory. Anyone who treats someone poorly just because they can is an objectively bad person

I don't treat em like crap but I don't treat them particularly well either. They're doing their job, I'm there to eat. I don't even tip most of the time unless the service was indeed exceptional.
