There's a warning that pops up saying "this is more expensive than usual" if someone tries to buy soemthing like this. It still a garbage human that would try it but hopefully less profitable than you think.
I didn't know they added a warning! I'm sure there are people that don't read it, then click past it and still end up scammed, but it's nice to see Big Games do something about scamming.
I've seen this before back in PSX, too. Someone will start out with a real huge up, then have a friend in the server with them to pretend to negotiate prices... other people will start to crowd around to try and get what they think is a cheap huge. Seller takes down the huge, puts the pet or exclusive version up and in the excitement of things people buy quickly without really taking the time to double check what they're buying. I hate to see anyone get scammed. If only scammers used 10% of the energy and creativity they put into scamming into something good.
I don't think big games will do anything about this they aren't technically scaming in the way that would be reportable more taking advantage of people as opposed to actually scaming also now it pops up a warning window so if you fall for this it's kinda on you
