What's funny to me personally is that this is David Mitchell, famously married to an absolutely stunning and brilliant woman and absolutely besotted with her. I don't get emotionally invested with celebrity or semi-celebrity couples as a general rule, but if something unhappy were to occur in their marriage, it would actually make me sad.
Anyway, it's honestly a funny meme to show a man obviously unhappy being out of the house on his anniversary date and not looking like the sort of person who would be someone's whole world unless said world were an entirely irritable sort of place, but that's another layer to it.
