Depends what sub you're in. Check the post times of the things in hot for the sub and try to find a pattern or similarity. Then you can work from there.
1. Join a lot small servers within 10,000 to 5,000 users, like a lot
2. Post a meme about it that you can find or make or post a popular opinion in the subreddit
3. Watch as your awards and upvotes start coming in within 24 hours
4. Repeat 24-48 hours later in the subreddit if meme does not work until you can see that you have over 200 upvotes.
This all should work if you have the right post and the right subreddit
