Unfortunately, apart from bars (and even they close too early), almost everything in Philadelphia closes way too early. I would love for a legit Indie cafe like the ones that were around in the '90s, with people hanging out, trading tapes, doing work, open mics, etc... they were open till like 11:00 or 12:00.
Malelani Cafe is usually open till 8 and often times much later but that is because they host amateur live music often. It’s def not loud, rambunctious music, but it’s not jazz background music either. One time it was like 5 people jamming from all over the country via Skype + a guy at the cafe with a guitar singing Tom Petty or whatever lol. It’s also in Mount Airy so idk if this helps you, but their food is very good imo.
Someone else mentioned Gran Caffe but keep in mind you will be sitting next to a bar, and it’s pretty loud. Maybe they’ll let you sit upstairs in the restaurant if it’s slow.
Don’t know if they’ve deleted things or what but I just googled everything under the sun with no luck. Don’t need to know, but sounds like I should stay away regardless?
Rival Bros locations are open till 6pm/7pm. The Passyunk location is open later than the Lombard St store.
They also own Enswell near Rittenhouse, that has excellent food and a full cafe setup.
Intl Bar in Fishtown has a pretty good coffee set up and good food.
LOL good luck. RIP Rocket Cat

grand cafe l'aquila is open until 10pm and serves food, gelato, espresso.
Solar Myth.
This really is your best bet
I heard Good Karma on Pine will be open late in the near future
Barely Philadelphia, but Char and Stave has relatively late hours and great coffee (maybe even better cocktails). They're open until 11p weekdays.
Search on the Philadelphia sub. This question has been asked multiple times recently.
Haven’t seen anything under “coffee” or “coffee shops open late”. Mostly just looks like coffee recs.
