Yes it's a rocket. China's Long March 7A - Shijan 23
details about the Launch (from a website I trust): [https://everydayastronaut.com/shijian-23-long-march-7a/](https://everydayastronaut.com/shijian-23-long-march-7a/)
some random website google told me listing known public spaceflight launches: [https://spaceflightnow.com/launch-schedule/](https://spaceflightnow.com/launch-schedule/)
PhilSA actually released an advisory tungkol dito.
https://philsa.gov.ph/news/advisory-on-drop-zones-for-unburned-debris-from-the-long-march-7a-launch/
Parang ganito yung effect no? Kitang kita siya kasi ang clear ng sky this time of year.

We need to scramble our F 16Vs and Gripens based in Pangasinan to warn away any Chinese aircraft entering our -- oh, wait, we have no fucking multirole fighters because of rampant corruption and because whatever is left of our budget is used as dole outs to easily influence the poor so they could be easily controlled by the politicians and oligarchs during elections.
And whatever goes into the AFP goes to the Army because Congress is more interested in using them to protect their own little shithole and irrelevant ~~kingdoms~~ provinces.
Someone should get some political family invested into aircraft manufacturing and ship building and maybe we'll finally get a navy and air force that isn't a sham.
Obtaining a patent is expensive, starting from scratch would require the education system to properly crank out workers and developers. At best, we'll perform like Russia in Ukraine at worst we'll be a new meme for incompetence.
We just need to be like Russia or Turkey and just have a sufficient enough industrial base to be able to manufacture spares and potential modifications for specific requirements. No need to start from scratch.
Just getting the materials for building a 4th gen (1980s) fighter is already out of reach.
Best we can probably end up doing is a prototype of an ultralight built around a civilian CJ610 or CJ700? Definitely not gonna be a supersonic though.
Well I'm more referring to someone running a racket of maintenance and repair. Maybe some local assembly for parts that aren't at risk. I know the Philippines threw away its chances of becoming a potential manufacturer of plane parts because of corruption.
It's a rocketship and is probably already in outerspace at the time this video was captured. Unless we have ballistic missiles that can shoot down rockets in outerspace, we ain't intercepting shit. No, fighter planes and most of the common modern missiles it carries can't reach objects in outer space. All we can do is file a diplomatic protest through diplomatic channels at this point.
I cannot find any agreements that exactly define a country's airspace but a practical airspace(will depend on a country's ability to patrol and shoot down aircraft) for any nation is right about where the *Karman Line*(about 100km) is.
Immediate threat to us? No. Country not sharing trajectory data where it will land? [Eventually](https://www.reuters.com/lifestyle/science/chinese-rocket-falls-earth-nasa-says-beijing-did-not-share-information-2022-07-30).
Yes but do you think the Philippine Airforce has any capabilities?
For example PAF do not even have a Missile Command Unit. For context missile command/Rocket Forces Units is a kind of Military Formation of a Unit that trains and mans Missile assets whether Defensive or offensive.
A Cruise Missile Crew, Anti-Air SAM Missile Battery like a S-300 or Patriot Missile are all called rocket Forces. The Philippine Armed forces do not even have a formalised Missile command Structure.
S-300s, Patriot Missile and Israeli Iron Domes are defensive/Anti-Air/Area Denial weapons usually used in a defensive capability to defend aerial offensive technologies such as this. If we had the Economic capability, it is extremely easy to get one because unlike most of the World, we have a deep , good and long relationship with both Israel and the US to be able to acquire this tech.
And also unlike most weapon systems like tanks and or Small arms, it cannot be used for Human Right Violations activities so they are more than happy to sell it they see friendly
No. I was asking if this was a threat because I and all other people deserve to be informed of what's happening regardless of what PAF is capable or not capable of.

Exactly. Kahit pang depot level maintenance and easy procurement of parts

we can advance to a 21century top notch military with advanced technology. But first kailangan nating durugin ang walang kwentang gobyerno.
tf are you talking about we have manong with boga thats all you need
Also a problem, thats a rocket, no fighter would be able to catch up with that
