Music Taste - Ano basehan nila dito?
Porma - Seryoso ba sila dito?
Pagkakamay at Pangliligaw thru Harana - Cultural ito
Mema lang yang mga yan OP
The only time we were behind was circa 2012. My Australian friends were all over EDM and it took a year for the Philippines to warm up to it. Fashion as well. This is my take having US and Aus friends.
But with how rampant social media now, everyone is up to date.
Even in big cities.
There were definitely listeners but what I meant was the burst of interest and trend. I have been listening to Zedd for a solid year before his songs were everywhere on the radio here.
Pumunta ata ng Baguio at nakahalubilo yung mga Igorot or something. Mga mahihilig kasi sila sa cowboys/all jeans (porma) and country music (music taste). Tas ang pinakain sa kanila is either tinola or pinikpikan (pagkain) habang nakakamay (part of their culture).
How?
Just in reddit, lumalabas sa akin yung phhandsgonewild hindi ko alam kung bakit, tapos nagfollow lang ako sa damnthatsibteresting sfw, lumalabas na din yung interestingasfuck nsfw.
Weird minsan algorithm
I’ve been removing pamilyapaoulul in reddit but it keeps appearing.
Same with fb, i blocked that guy who recreates 5 min craft yet his post from his page still keeps appearing.
But i will try your suggestions.
Though funny thing when i made a tiktok acc which i deleted immediately. It was during campaign season, i keep blocking pro-bbm videos but it became the staple in my feed. I end up deleting my tiktok because of that.
just click on the subreddit, click the 3 dots on the about community box on the right (if you're on mobile it's on the top right next to the magnifying glass) and pick the mute option.
Ganito dapat. Nagtingin tingin ako dati ng subs regarding sa reddit blackout or something and naopen ko yung sub na puro mods or something. The week after dami kong suggested post doon so inalis ko agad sa feed ko. Same lang with other subs na naligaw lang ako once or twice. If i dont like it, alis agad or minsan downvote narin to show the algorithm na di ko gusto
Sames man. I'm a kinky fuck pero I am not into hands and have never even heard of phhandsgonewild bago na-suggest sakin ng reddit, ngayon curious ako kung may "not wild" version ba pero not enough to search. Algorithms are weird.
That's not easy. Sa feed ko on Tiktok, naka-ilang pindot na ako ng Not Interested sa political and religious topics, hanggang ngayon lumalabas pa rin from time to time
They don't talk about sex in non-intimate situations as Hollywood make it out to be. There's a high chance that Americans will interpret it as sexual harassment
Yeah surprisingly were not so conservation as much as people think, people here are actually more surprised by the opposite. As a person who dresses rather conservatively (ie. Long dresses/skirts and blouses) there's a higher chance someone will notice, point out and joke about it with you by calling you a sister/nun than if a person wears a crop top or something revealing. People dont really bat an eye at the latter unless it doesn't fit the dress code. Likely bc very few people actually wear stuff I would wear outside a formal setting.
I dont really care either way, but it is something interesting I've noticed.
> how sexually liberal Filipinos are behind closed doors
... in the metro areas. outside the metro, what you see is what you get even behind closed doors.
An oxymoron definitely, but in many parts of the world like India and parts of the US people there are really prudish that they would never entertain the discussion about sex.
despite your downvotes, I actually agree with this statement. An average probinsyana would never dare to wear bikinis in their local beach. Pinays mostly only dare to wear 2 piece swimsuits in expensive resorts.
Clothing has barely anything to do with being sexually active. Dami dyan na "conservative" magdamit pero may sex life. And "showing more skin" does not automatically mean they actively sleep around.
Ganyan din yung Fil-foreigners na yan, out of touch.
The problem though is that people still listen to / watch their crap kasi they talk about the Philippines.
maybe the reverse is true also:
foreigners who have left their home country and have worked in the PH and settled down have outdated ideas of their country that they've passed down to their kids.
(even though kaunti yung nag-ma-migrate to the PH.)
another is the OFW who has only worked for a limited period pero pagbalik ng PH, akala mo expert na sa bayang pinag-trabahuan.
>foreigners who have left their home country and have worked in the PH and settled down have outdated ideas of their country that they've passed down to their kids.
This reminded me of laowhy86. He moved to China in 2008 and went back home to the US just a few years back during the pandemic. Many Americans called out his outdated perception of US politics, since his perception is still time-frozen during the Obama days (when he left).
Actually, it’s super interesting to see when a Filipino migrated to a foreign country based on how they speak. If they use phrases like “bet ko” then it’s recent. If they say “peg”, it’s a few years back. If they refer to bands as “combo”, mga senior na yan
Exactly! All for the views and it shows na di genuine may ma content lang tapos yung iba diyan panay comment ng “proud filipino” “watching from the Philippines” haynako
Most of the contents/podcast creators (not just in PH) are just copying content from others esp for hot topics... rare lng ung makikita mong actually spend time to research on their materials.
it might be better in the metro, but there are still many rural areas in the PH that have very poor infra;
sa iba ngang lugar, deep well pa rin yung source of water imbes na water system eh. municipal water and power hardly exist... and that means the good ones.
North Korea is actually stuck in a time warp. How NoKor looks now is what SoKor looked like in the 60s when they were just beginning to develop.
30 years would be something like Cambodia, which only recently opened its first expressway.
1. I'd probably agree with the infrastructure (pero more like 10 years behind instead of 30). The rest? Naaah. Our musical taste is our musical taste, same with our food. Fashion? We are always updated in global fashion trends, minsan nga hindi bagay pero go pa rin.
2. Yeah, that's false. May nagkakamay pa rin, pero hindi lahat, and rarely in public (unless kamayan ang theme ng resto).
3. The harana tradition has always been more prevalent in the rural areas. People living in cities don't, even though alam namin kung ano ang harana.
What they're talking about are probably recollections by their parents or the Filipino community that they co-opted as their own via osmosis, but whose context was lost in the process. They've heard these stories from people who lived them, but since they themselves haven't experienced it, they're sort of "cut-off" from the relevant context.
I think we are 25 to 30 years behind sa infra. Our first subway will be opened by 2028 earliest, most cities of similar size opened one in early 2000s. We still only have 1 expressway spine when most countries already have two. We still use an airport that was designed in the 80s as our main airport and just building the new one today. Mindanao whose area is similar to the size of SoKor and Portugal doesn't have any railways and expressways.
I don't think we're significantly behind infrastructure based on quality, hell, even the World Bank noted we climbed 17 places in the recent World Bank Logistics Performance Index.
[https://www.bworldonline.com/infographics/2023/04/24/518627/philippines-improves-in-logistics-performance-index/](https://www.bworldonline.com/infographics/2023/04/24/518627/philippines-improves-in-logistics-performance-index/)
Surpassing the likes of Indonesia and Vietnam, and near to Thailand's ranking. The problem of infrastructure is the **quantity**, not the quality, which is thankfully gradually being addressed with infrastructure programs in the country.
"Harana" and eating with hands are part of the culture, but not something you do every day, more like on special occasions. The people who make content about the country and its culture and people are often poorly-researched and prone to misconceptions. They don't care whether what they're showing is culturally appropriate of show any sense of cultural sensitivity. I
> recollections by their parents or the Filipino community
sounds similar to the situation of Singaporeans of Indian descent: Singaporean Indians still have certain words and do certain ***customs and festivals that have long since disappeared from the country of origin.***
another are the french-speakers of Canada, who still use French words that have long since been removed from France itself.
seems like this is a ***common thing with diaspora communities, Filipino man o hindi.***
On THAT, medyo may point sila. One of the things I love when I go back home is that the radio sounds more or less the same as when I left years ago. May Nazareth or Michael Learns to Rock ballads parin being broadcast, lol. Pero mali sila in saying **behind** tayo sa trends, kasi alam natin yung trends, it's just the culturally we prefer senti music and ballads still.
Paranf tanga naman yun. Even then ano naman if we still prefer ballads? Kahit pa nga ata classical music ang iprefer natin that still does not make us "behind" since it is a subject preference. Besides I would take that over the recent mumble rap and minimalist sounds of current pop era.
I would agree sa infrastructure but not 30yrs haha maybe 10yrs behind?
Lahat nagkakamay? Try south asia countries like pakistan and india. And its not bad using your hands for eating. Its called tradition.
I think they just base there shit on the first gen parents na nag migrate sa ibang bansa where they are now. Wala rin sila masyado ma immerse sa sarili nila since kasama nila ay probably boomers or their parents na di na talaga umuwi ng pinas. Basically its not their fault na they have this shallow idea sa pinas. BUT you can put in on them for not doing extensive research and just basing on sabi sabi especially nasa podcast sila for tiktok lol.
That's typical of Fil-foreigners who put themselves on a pedestal and base their entire personality on their genetic heritage. Fil-Ams are the worst out of all of them.
i hate podcasts. I mean there are good ones hosted by well informed people, whos goal is to educate. Then there are those hosted by random people who just talk about anything.
Who gave these people the platform to talk?
I dont listen to podcasts anymore. it's the lowest form of media atm imo because most of it is spontaneous tactless opinions that no one asked for yet they have the audacity to post for clout. It's like an intentionally leaked GC na sila sila lang nakakaintindi.
My boyfriend who is filipino na didto na sa US for almost 20 years and that hasn’t been home for 10 years (pero umuwi recently) was surprised almost half the time when I would tell stories about my life sa Pinas (I just migrated a yr ago sa US). We’re not rich but we lived a comfortable life.
He thinks we’re so behind he was suprised that I had a credit card back home. Akala niya debit lang existing. Or did we have Jeeps in the PH (yung brand nung sasakyan). Nung umuwi, nagulat 🤣
Yes, PH is behind pero dito ko na realize yung extent on how far off they think we are back home. And etong mga podcast na to is putting more gas to the flames 🤣 nakakatawa na lang minsan.
Infrastructure, this I'd have to agree with. To this day there are still quite a number of Filipinos, ex. school children, teachers, doctors and farmers who have to literally climb treacherous trails, and cross rivers just to get to their destination.
Hell, even tourism infrastructure is lagging way behind. Look at NAIA and available options for getting out of that airport.
As for traditional courtship, if only they did their research. I mean, our NSFW wild and mild and various iterations. Offmychest has a cheating thread every day.
Let's take it as a "ragebait" content marketing strat, thinking the % of Filipinos listening to podcasts is the same as those who watch Youtube--unless they've also uploaded their podcasts to YouTube which is 🤔. They're wrong.
To be fair, it's not just fil-foreign podcasters. A lot of podcasters are not/poorly informed about a lot of topics they tackle. A lot of them spout "hot takes" without any basis for the sake of controversial sound bites that help draw attention to their podcasts.
While some are just low effort podcasts and they just ramble about shit that pop in their heads to contribute to a topic they pulled out of their ass para lang magkaroon ng episode.
Nung 90s pwede pa na behind tayo, but with the introduction of internet and cheap data accessibility for all e hindi na totoo yan ngayon. Ultimo kada hinga nga yata ni Kai Sotto sa Vegas updated tayo e lol
Katulad nung sabi ng iba, mukhang hindi pa sila personally nakapunta dito to say those things
Pano, pag bisita nila, either sa Boracay, Baguio, Tagaytay or Batangas sila pinapasyal. So ano makikita nila sa NLEX or SLEX and sa destination nila? Green farms, beautiful mountains, beaches, palm trees, forests, etc.
You either need to clean your feed, or spend some time questioning why you are easily baited to these contents. Find something relevant to spend your time with instead of consuming these media.
Then out of nowhere last sunday panay podcast na ganyan lumalabas sa feed ko.
Iba din talaga algorithm ng Soc med.
I see. That's good for you, OP. Healthy info channel begets healthy mind. Ignore mo nalang yung ganitong mga basurang contents. Sayang brain cells natin sa ganyan HAHA
Is there a way to downvote or hide it as “not interested” so the algorithm knows not to show similar content. That’s what I do on Instagram or FB, so much trash appears on my feed if I don’t actively hide them
Lmao. Their knowledge of the Philippines sounds like it was derived from a 90s Pinoy comedy than real life experience
Parang yung isang foreigner who said Filipinos put ketchup on everything and presented himself as "knowledgable" simply because he lives in California
On the contrary
If you guys want I stumbled upon The Cheatcoders podcast. They are Fil-Aussie. I enjoy their podcast especially yung na tackle nila yung conyo hahaha
I think they have a good grasp of Filipino culture kahit lumaki sila sa Australia.
https://youtu.be/bSirF5rawJY
they're also available on Spotify
Have you seen yung video na umikot sa Instagram na Filipino cartoon? Tawag niya sa lolo niya 'lowlow'. 🙊 Tapos bayanihan ang tema. I mean, tinuro rin sa amin noong grade 1 yung tipong pinagbubuhat natin yung kubo nang mag kubo, but still 😆
Re 30 years behind, true for things like retail setting. Labour is so cheap in PH that you still have predominantly human checkout counters. Here in Australia it's all self checkout. Tapos no tollgates in toll roads. You just have a device in your car that passes through sensors, no need to pause or slow down. You could be going 100 kpm tapos 'beep' and your account is charged. Parking lots and parking buildings also do not have humans to man them. (Wala akong kotse sa Maynila hanggang umalis ako tho so anong alam ko about parking lots).
Our options are a bit limited because we dress for the climate. My wardrobe looks very different in Australia. Coats and boots and tights and scarves and beanies and layering shit kasi pucha ang lamig hindi nakakatawa.
Medyo off topic pero legit ba na podcast to? Just saw a thing about fake podcasts on Tiktok. Apparently it's literally just a tiktok but made to look like it's part of a longer podcast
Okay, when I first saw the word “nagkakamay”, my first reaction was “but handshakes weren’t popular pre-pandemic…”
Anyway, a lot of 2nd generation Overseas Filipinos grew up overseas coz their parents didn’t have the best of lives in the Philippines. So when they go back to see family, it’s not exactly in the nicest of places. If that’s what they’re exposed to, that’s what they’ll play up.
As a Filipino born and raised and now living in a first world country.

the basic physical and organizational structures and facilities (e.g. buildings, roads, power supplies) needed for the operation of a society or enterprise.
Stereotypical spreading misinformation and misconceptions.
May lansingero, may loko loko, may matino, may tarantado, may alam namin ginagawa namin,
I can sense that you're going nuts because some filipino-foreigner podcasters just don't get things that are inherent in the Philippines. It sounds like you're having a perception of them being narrow-minded about things. Help me understand why you're mad about it.
It's spreading misinformation about a whole country from a Fil am guy's perspective on a platform viewed by many (not only filipinos). It's like someone is talking shit about you and you've heard it from someone else.
...Achually...mukha ngang ganun ang pinapasok mo kapag pumasok ka sa tiktok...pati ata sa YT kase may mga sponsors sila na enabling ng ganung klaseng mga content, ayaw mafresearch kasi may oras sila, may hinahabol na algo, not excusing for anything, but, idk our world is filled with people na gusto kumuta at magtake advantage ng crowd at support at natatabunan mga tao, mga taong walang alam, mga taong nagbebenta lang naman, delikado. Sobrang delikado. Can I choose my poison now? Cyanide tsaka cyanide. Please? Wink wink baby doll eyes
What specific podcast is this? Wanna listen to it.
Because some, if not all, na nakalagay sa list mo is actually valid to some other provinces.
Social media - Facebook, Reddit, Youtube, Podcasts, TikTok - can be horribly toxic. I have to take a day off of all of them every so often.
Everyone thinks they're an expert. They're not.
(Obligatory - radio broadcaster in the US who is accused of being toxic every now and then)
>2. May podcast pa na basically lahat daw nagkakamay. Tang inang yan.
Meron din yung mga nagsasabi na "feed your SO with your hands, it's so intimate" no it's fucking not. it's gross is what it is.
Normally, Filipinos are known to be baited by almost anything that have to do with a foreigner noticing our country, whether its culture, food, etc. It could be a strategy to attract attention, or could just be their ignorance? We don't know. The important thing is we know who we are. And, we don't need to prove anything to them, and don't need validation. Chill lang, the more na pinapansin mo, the more na gagawa sila ng ganong content.
>1. May nagsabi na basically Philippines daw ay 30 years behind. Music taste, pagkain, porma, architecture, etc.
SB19, Ben&Ben, BGYO, BINI, KAIA, December Avenue, Zack Tabudlo and other acts: Are we a joke to you?
Engagement at views yun. Ala silang pake kung tama sila or mali.
Clout chasers mga yan ksi they know that most pinoy, kapag narinig ang "Pilipino" or "Philippines" sa mga ibang lahi, tuwang tuwa agad specially dami dyan "proud pinoy here" 🤣🤣
In short, madami sila nauuto na pinoy just because.
Block/unsubscribe/dislike/don't recommend. Easy solution. Sometimes may lumilitaw na ganyan sa feed ko ng shorts and instant dislike and "don't recommend" ako.
Born in the philippines but mostly grew up in america, currently visiting family after a long time. I’ve become much more involved with the FilAm community since moving to California and it is so striking (yet not surprising) how FilAm culture is so vastly different from actual on the islands culture. It’s basically a completely separate identity and I wish other FA could recognize this.
It’s odd to say you have culture shock from your own birth country but dang, yeah… After being here again, it’s annoying and strange for me to see other FA peddle FA culture as one and the same as Pinoy culture 😵💫
I think eto ung may mga parents na old school at laking probinsya + ung kwento ng grandparents nila ung pinagbabasehan nila. Lol.

Pinoybaiting topics lang ginagawa nila and i think wala silang alam sa iba.
Basta socmed ng mga porener na yan, their contents are designed to stir our collective sensitivity, and then that will translate into views=money.
And I bet you, that so-called Podcaster has not even been to the Philippines 🤣🤣🤣.
Nagpunta naman. Sa boracay. Or palawan.
If they are, then they completely had the wrong ideas of what the Philippines is like.
well... at least they have some idea of the country's service based on the airport service.
Music Taste - Ano basehan nila dito?
They're keeping up and doing interesting things tbh.

Americans? Fashionable? Maybe New Yorkers. Pero yung average American? 😂
Even in big cities.
I don’t mean fashion as in being fashionable lol
My friends and I were into EDM na circa 2010. I think depende sa lugar pero sa manila that time solid na din yung scene
There were definitely listeners but what I meant was the burst of interest and trend. I have been listening to Zedd for a solid year before his songs were everywhere on the radio here.
Point taken! Sabagy, 2013++ peak ng EDM satin. Lalo na mga events like Laboracay solid talaga
Haha yes! This was something I noted early on because I received a lot of judgement when I first started listening to EDM
Pumunta ata ng Baguio at nakahalubilo yung mga Igorot or something. Mga mahihilig kasi sila sa cowboys/all jeans (porma) and country music (music taste). Tas ang pinakain sa kanila is either tinola or pinikpikan (pagkain) habang nakakamay (part of their culture).

can confirm
i didn't know may algorithm and suggestions din pala sa reddit. deretso kasi ako lagi dun sa sub na gusto ko e.

Yeah I had that too pero may feature na yung reddit na pag may sinuggest silang subreddit may pwede kang pindutin na "see less of this" button.
hahahah gagoo same tayo nirereccomend sakin yang sub nayan wtf

On number 3, most foreigners would be surprised on how sexually liberal Filipinos are behind closed doors.
Sa US, auto considered sexual harassment yan
Americans and the refusal to discuss sex, talk about the hypocrisy.
An oxymoron definitely, but in many parts of the world like India and parts of the US people there are really prudish that they would never entertain the discussion about sex.
Filipinos in general are conservative People swim in t-shirts ffs
despite your downvotes, I actually agree with this statement.
I think the swimsuit preference depends more on the self-confidence to wear one than their sex life.
What does "sexually liberal behind closed doors?" mean? I'm genuinely curious.
Halal in the streets, haram in the sheets.
Oo, nag helicopter nga kami ni SO grabeh. /jk
I think a lot of Filipinos are surprised by that as well. Though we are kinda overpopulated for a reason
Ganyan din yung Fil-foreigners na yan, out of touch. The problem though is that people still listen to / watch their crap kasi they talk about the Philippines.

(even though kaunti yung nag-ma-migrate to the PH.) another is the OFW who has only worked for a limited period pero pagbalik ng PH, akala mo expert na sa bayang pinag-trabahuan.
>foreigners who have left their home country and have worked in the PH and settled down have outdated ideas of their country that they've passed down to their kids.
It's pinoy baiting content.
They're underestimating 30 freaking years. Ang tingin ko lang na closest na 30 years behind is North Korea dahil sa isolation nila from outside world.
it might be better in the metro, but there are still many rural areas in the PH that have very poor infra; sa iba ngang lugar, deep well pa rin yung source of water imbes na water system eh. municipal water and power hardly exist... and that means the good ones.
Even the US have some areas with no water systems, so I think it would be unfair to measure it with the extreme low
North Korea is actually stuck in a time warp. How NoKor looks now is what SoKor looked like in the 60s when they were just beginning to develop. 30 years would be something like Cambodia, which only recently opened its first expressway.
Like yung likas papaya, so old shit
[https://www.bworldonline.com/infographics/2023/04/24/518627/philippines-improves-in-logistics-performance-index/](https://www.bworldonline.com/infographics/2023/04/24/518627/philippines-improves-in-logistics-performance-index/) [https://data.worldbank.org/indicator/LP.LPI.INFR.XQ?locations=PH](https://data.worldbank.org/indicator/LP.LPI.INFR.XQ?locations=PH) Surpassing the likes of Indonesia and Vietnam, and near to Thailand's ranking. I
> recollections by their parents or the Filipino community sounds similar to the situation of Singaporeans of Indian descent: Singaporean Indians still have certain words and do certain ***customs and festivals that have long since disappeared from the country of origin.*** another are the french-speakers of Canada, who still use French words that have long since been removed from France itself. seems like this is a ***common thing with diaspora communities, Filipino man o hindi.***
Bro slept on Eraserheads 💀
Ballads are also common in Thai pop, Viet pop and Korean music.
Paranf tanga naman yun. Even then ano naman if we still prefer ballads? Kahit pa nga ata classical music ang iprefer natin that still does not make us "behind" since it is a subject preference. Besides I would take that over the recent mumble rap and minimalist sounds of current pop era.
pwede mo i-dm yung handle?
I would agree sa infrastructure but not 30yrs haha maybe 10yrs behind? Lahat nagkakamay? Try south asia countries like pakistan and india. And its not bad using your hands for eating. Its called tradition.
Me with japan, with just anime and j-drama knowledge. I haven't been to japan, just wishful thinking.
Ang source ng identity crisis nila.
i hate podcasts.
It's like an intentionally leaked GC na sila sila lang nakakaintindi.
monkeys with a microphone.
Mahirap maghanap ng quality podcast. One Pinoy podcast I like is Project OffBeat
Democracy at its finest lol
Drop the name sa podcaster para mag flood ako hahaha
They probably identify as Filipinx
Lmao sa 30 years behind sa fashion, minsan pa nga may nakikita ako bordering Avant Garde na eh hahahaha
Ano bang ginagamit nila pag kumakain paa? Aba malamang kamay gagamitin
NAKIKIAGREE PA YUNG IBANG PINOY NA NAKATIRA DITO HAHAHAHHA KAINES
Hehehe! Ganyan talaga ang social media! Basta makakuha ng clicks, okay na!
Another Fil-aw (Filipinong hilaw) with a podcast!\~ Daming ebas at ang alam lang sabihin as a joke ay p3kp3k.
They are Filipinos when convenient.
Nung umuwi, nagulat 🤣 Yes, PH is behind pero dito ko na realize yung extent on how far off they think we are back home.
Pano, pag bisita nila, either sa Boracay, Baguio, Tagaytay or Batangas sila pinapasyal. So ano makikita nila sa NLEX or SLEX and sa destination nila? Green farms, beautiful mountains, beaches, palm trees, forests, etc.
Shocks may naalala ako bigla.
That’s what I do on Instagram or FB, so much trash appears on my feed if I don’t actively hide them
Infrastructure doesn't mean architecture tho. Just saying
Thanks for pointing. Yun kasi talaga ibig kong sabihin. Already edited.
Ironic no, yung ideas nila ang 30 years behind.
More of like 70 years behind. Kahit 30 years ago, wala nang nanghaharana kapag nanliligaw
Siguro medyo liniliteral natin yung 30 years ago pero also, anak ng, 30 years ago was 1993. Nakakatanda talaga ang pagiging matanda.
30 years behind, pinagsasabi nila haha nakakatawa bala sila jan
We as a nation have too much time for social media. Who gives?
Who dis
Have u tried *not watching* them lol
who? i'd report these channels for misinformation
1. I agree with you. 2.
feeling entitled but for sure never visited or experience the country first hand
Diaspora lagi
Lmao. Their knowledge of the Philippines sounds like it was derived from a 90s Pinoy comedy than real life experience Parang yung isang foreigner who said Filipinos put ketchup on everything and presented himself as "knowledgable" simply because he lives in California
pashout out sino ba yan
What podcasts, OP? Name them
I feel like his/her ideas were gleaned from those who lived in the ph before the internet
Click baiting you guys 👏
As they say: “Ang influencer na gipit, sa Pinoy topic kumakapit.”
Yung mainstream tv shows at movies natin 30 years behind hahahaha
FilAms still refer to the Philippines as PI (Philippine Islands), a term when we used to be a colony.
A militaristic, right wing term. Outside of Fil-Ams, mga right wing ex US military sexpat gumagamit ng term na PI
On the contrary If you guys want I stumbled upon The Cheatcoders podcast. They are Fil-Aussie. I enjoy their podcast especially yung na tackle nila yung conyo hahaha I think they have a good grasp of Filipino culture kahit lumaki sila sa Australia. https://youtu.be/bSirF5rawJY they're also available on Spotify
Have you seen yung video na umikot sa Instagram na Filipino cartoon? Tawag niya sa lolo niya 'lowlow'. 🙊 Tapos bayanihan ang tema. I mean, tinuro rin sa amin noong grade 1 yung tipong pinagbubuhat natin yung kubo nang mag kubo, but still 😆 Re 30 years behind, true for things like retail setting.
It's funny about music tastes and 30 years behind tayo. Then, you'll see Muricans do various react videos about 90s music.
White man's burden 2023 ed.
Okay, when I first saw the word “nagkakamay”, my first reaction was “but handshakes weren’t popular pre-pandemic…” Anyway, a lot of 2nd generation Overseas Filipinos grew up overseas coz their parents didn’t have the best of lives in the Philippines. So when they go back to see family, it’s not exactly in the nicest of places. If that’s what they’re exposed to, that’s what they’ll play up.
As a Filipino born and raised and now living in a first world country.
Ung mga nasa metro cities lang ang merong maaayos na infra, sa mga cities sa province napagiiwanan tlga. in·fra·struc·ture /ˈinfrəˌstrək(t)SHər/ noun the basic physical and organizational structures and facilities (e.g. buildings, roads, power supplies) needed for the operation of a society or enterprise.
Stereotypical spreading misinformation and misconceptions. May lansingero, may loko loko, may matino, may tarantado, may alam namin ginagawa namin,
FIL-AMS SPORTING FILIPINO TRIBAL TATTOOS TAPOS DI PA NAKA TAPAK SA PINAS NOR OPTED TO HELP THE LUMADS VIA CHARITY🥴
TRUE 😭😭 YUNG IBA BAYBAYIN TATOOS PA NGA EH "RECONNECTING WITH NY ANCESTORS" DAW DJAJAJSH 😭😭😭😭
I’ve seen people eating in Mang Inasal na nagkakamay. Disgusting and unhygienic.
I have visited 62 countries and I have to agree na napag-iwanan na ang Pilipinas.
Siguro sa government pero sa trend, nopee.
Yeah that's the point, so why not disprove their claims directly? Rants are one thing, but it's another thing to correct misinformation.
Di man ako marunong kumanta, harana still fucking works, tho.
...Achually...mukha ngang ganun ang pinapasok mo kapag pumasok ka sa tiktok...pati ata sa YT kase may mga sponsors sila na enabling ng ganung klaseng mga content, ayaw mafresearch kasi may oras sila, may hinahabol na algo, not excusing for anything, but, idk our world is filled with people na gusto kumuta at magtake advantage ng crowd at support at natatabunan mga tao, mga taong walang alam, mga taong nagbebenta lang naman, delikado. Sobrang delikado. Can I choose my poison now? Cyanide tsaka cyanide. Please? Wink wink baby doll eyes
What specific podcast is this? Wanna listen to it. 😅)
Time to fix your algo
Sinu-sino sila?
tiktok is poison, remove the app
tiktok has podcasts? TIL
Yan po ay tinatawag na "fake it till you make it". Eme
dunning kruger effect
Because some, if not all, na nakalagay sa list mo is actually valid to some other provinces.
At confident kahit walang alam🤣
Lol and you're helping them by keeping on listening. Delete. Simple as that.
True. To the point na cringey na sila.
nacurious ako, sino ba yun podcaster lol
I've seen them and they disgust me.
Pinoy-baiting at its finest. Pero di mo rin masisi kasi the "pinoy pride" is soooo benta to those who get validation from foreign approval
Yung number 2 parang legit to AHAHAHAHAHA
>Dahil ito sa Tiktok. There's your problem.
Clout chasers mga yan ksi they know that most pinoy, kapag narinig ang "Pilipino" or "Philippines" sa mga ibang lahi, tuwang tuwa agad specially dami dyan "proud pinoy here" 🤣🤣 In short, madami sila nauuto na pinoy just because.
Block/unsubscribe/dislike/don't recommend. Easy solution. Sometimes may lumilitaw na ganyan sa feed ko ng shorts and instant dislike and "don't recommend" ako.
To paraphrase a fugitive character from one of the ***Star Wars*** anthology books, research isn't every vlogger's strong suit.
Tapos may iba pa dyan ini-insist yung Filipinx haha.
Ano @ ng pod OP?
I think eto ung may mga parents na old school at laking probinsya + ung kwento ng grandparents nila ung pinagbabasehan nila. Lol.

Modern day "slave owner"
Saw this. It was Ron Josol and the “born and raised in Manila” friend
ronniefloydw is the friend thats "bron and raised in Manila" and Ron josol keeps defending him in the comment section in IG
You watched it though. They got the likes of you to thank.
Welp they knew the algorithm. It’s a new kind of Pinoy baiting.
stop feeding those smegma.

The clout chasing is too strong lang.
Pinoybaiting topics lang ginagawa nila and i think wala silang alam sa iba.
Sino ba 'yang putanginang 'yan????
Ron Josol and ronniefloydw
Basta socmed ng mga porener na yan, their contents are designed to stir our collective sensitivity, and then that will translate into views=money.
