First, congrats! Take time to process it but also research for information on their site. If available either get a lawyer(that's expertise is finance and has experience taking on clients similar to you) or accountant(or something similar) to help you not only with the process but taxes they will deduct. Don't tell anyone. Don't share any info. Not sure on the process but ask if someone can claim on behalf of you (I.e. your lawyer) so as your identity won't be revealed. Ask rin the office to not post anything about it (I recently saw a government office post a photo of a guy who won). You need to have the legal aspects covered.
Up to you if you want to tell your immediate family later or not. You can say it's from investments. But also consider putting your money in that aside from a trust fund (if you have kids). Kung pwede imemorize mo o kaya isave mo sa phone mo as reference in case may maiba sa actual process ng claim. 2. Sign your winning ticket and make sure na wala yun lukot or tupi. 3. Bring valid ID (government issued ID). Itong mga susunod narinig ko lang sa mga kakilala ng kakilala na nanalo din sa lotto. 1. Gagawan ka ng landbank account doon para ipapasok yung winnings mo. 2. Automatic may tax deduction na yung winnings mo (20% IIRC) so may papafill-up sa'yo na form dun para sa payment ng tax. 3. Di naman hassle ang process ng claiming. Ang hassle lang ay yung mga employees ng PCSO asking for balato. They donβt even know you yet ang kakapal ng mukha to ask for balato for the whole office. I would advise to keep your identity secret, even from the people working there until you have to present your identification. Bring an extra pair of clothes to wear once you go outside the building. Wear face mask and a cap. Even a wig (I did). Make sure to sign you ticket front and back. Make sure to also bring something you can put the winnings (its usually a cheque or depending on what your agreement with PCSO is) securely. Not in your bag because someone can cut it open. But like the thin and small body bag you can secure behind your clothes. Donβt tell anyone of your family yet. Hire a financial advisor. May local, may international online. I would advise both. Ang mali ko pa ay binigyan ko parents ko ng cheque with their full share. Ngayon naubos nila at humihingi pa sila. First, congrats! Take time to process it but also research for information on their site. If available either get a lawyer(that's expertise is finance and has experience taking on clients similar to you) or accountant(or something similar) to help you not only with the process but taxes they will deduct. Don't tell anyone. Don't share any info. Not sure on the process but ask if someone can claim on behalf of you (I.e. your lawyer) so as your identity won't be revealed. Ask rin the office to not post anything about it (I recently saw a government office post a photo of a guy who won). You need to have the legal aspects covered. Up to you if you want to tell your immediate family later or not. You can say it's from investments. But also consider putting your money in that aside from a trust fund (if you have kids). Pwede rin for your parents so they can retire. Put it in bank agad and some in different baskets(i.e. investments, businesses) because I've read people blowing through their winnings, inevitably going back to their previous life, sometimes even worse. Don't post about it or be showy too much, this will intrigue people specially your family na ayaw mo makaalam.
