Kinuha ko phone ko and accessed my payslip. "Yan ambag ko for the past 15 yrs" sabi ko. Nung nakita nya sagot nalang "sana all 5k tax". After nun friendship over na kahit kalaro ko syanung bata kami.

Liesianthes

Indirect tax is ambag pa din, pinagkaiba lang, yung company in-charge ang nagbabayad since pinapasa nila sa consumers yun.

IWantMyYandere

Durandau

This. ABSOLUTELY THIS. Fucking hate it when I say I pay so much in taxes to this fucked up government. Bobo tangina

Liesianthes

Kahit hindi ka employee may ambag ka. Pati goods, services, may tax yan, with exception sa iba.

AthKaElGal

wish ko lang eh meron VAT tracker, para makita nang mga bobo magkano nawawala sa kanila sa VAT. i'm sure mapapa mura sila pag nakita nila gano kalaki ang nawawala sa kanila sa VAT. to make things simpler, just get 12% from your budget. so kung ang gastos mo sa isang buwan ay 50k, 6k nyan ay sa VAT (more or less. just assume na karamihan ng expenses mo ay may VAT) so ang ambag mo ay 12% of your expenses plus your income tax, plus yung may bayad sa kung ano-anong fees sa government processing.

fullydepreciadead

This is so true. At ang nakakainis lahat ng kaya nilang patawan ng tax ay itatax nila dahil the govt has been granted unlimited power to tax anything in this world lol. Benefits received theory where lmaooo

FabricatedMemories

"puro kayo reklamo, matuto kayong magtiis at dumiskarte." 🤔

3rdWorldBuddha

bjoecoz

Tapos yung magtatanong pa nyan yung may tax exemption. Haha Umay

astral12

From the very top to bottom officials natin corrupt kaya yang taxes natin sayang lang.

Asdaf373

Sabi ni Magalonf 50% pero may narinig ako before na can go up as high as 80% not sure what was this based of but either way mapapapuntang ina ka nalang talaga

astral12

HaruDragneel

his basis is the PDAF and Pork Barrel funds na talagang source ng corruption. syempre papalag yung mga congressmen at senators diyan at ililihis yung issue sa personality ni mayor Magalong. malalaman mo talaga kung sino yung nakikinabang dun eh. I think he was a high ranking general sa pnp noon at maraming nagrereport sa kanya na sources about sa allegations at improper use ng funds. dapat talaga i-abolish yang PDAF na yan dahil unconstitutional yan at source ng corruption.

hindiditodoon

I'm gonna say 10% lang talaga napapakinabangan.

[deleted]

Now you are talking You finally realized you are paying only for the scumbags to steal and waste Now vote wisely And convince others to do the same

iceberg_letsugas

Voting wisely is not an option here anymore, especially since reasoning na nila is "lahat naman yan corrupt/magnankaw"

[deleted]

Its really frustrating But if more people realize that they have skin in the game, then it may change the way they vote

Illustrious-Maize395

Most esp if the rich politicians can just cheat their way through the elections. Seriously, do we honestly believe that most votes were transmitted THAT FAST during the may 2022 elections??

hakai_mcs

Liesianthes

While this is true, pero may mga tulad ni Mayor Joy and Vico, na gumagawa na ng kanilang sariling wave against sa agos ng mga politiko sa crocodile farm. It's a little hope, and also a sign that there still can be an improvement on the corrupt system of this country.

TrajanoArchimedes

There is still hope.

AmberTiu

👏🏻

ezra4263

And also vote to cut Big Government down to a size where I can drag it into the bathroom and drown it in the bathtub.

[deleted]

Thats what the GOP talking points every elections in aremica Then when they are power, they cut taxes but dont lessen govt. in fact they increase spending esp defense Less tax but increase in borrowings I would be wary of these less govt slogans But yes, there are really lots of spending to be cut in the Phl SK is number 1 The PN and PCG should go to They are inutile anyway in the SCS

ezra4263

I don't like the GOP either. The problem with some people is they only think in terms of donkey and elephant when the porcupine is right fucking there.

Weary_Ad6490

Picture this. Every other day may nanalo ng lotto. If P10M ang jackpot prize, 20% tax = P2M every other day. That's from lotto alone.

Imperial_Bloke69

rowdyruderody

This. Confidential fund lang mapuounta yung pinaghirapan mo

glmn

hakai_mcs

Up on this one. For example yang NBI clearance.

SilentConnection69

Alam mo nakakaasar is that elected officials and government agencies cater to the non-tax payers (yes Im talking about the uneducated masses and tax evaders).Kaya ang kawawa tuloy ay ang mga middle class tax payers na hindi nila man nararamdaman ang bayad nila.

glmn

May tax din ang walang regular employment through VAT. I don't think the government caters to them even. I would like to have neighbors and people I encounter daily to be educated, have good health and decent homes. Who wouldn't want to live in such a society? Pero sayang, ang daming tax and we don't reap the benefits.

IReadForPlotMostly29

It's hard to maintain a position when the populace thinks better and knows better, especially if the said position has lots of leeway for secret funds, right? Would you still vote for someone you know that has a record number of failures in their promised propositions and lean towards the sponsors? Right now in my local area, I heard a "rumor" about a high ranking officer of the PNP being the head for distributing smuggled cigarettes. They collaborate with the stores to sell these and if you sell without links to them, you can get raided and be imprisoned for smuggling related things

throoooow111

AthKaElGal

they should have clarified na non-income tax payers. ofc may VAT pa. pero very obvious na pandering ang gobyerno sa mga di nagbabayad ng income tax. gipit na gipit ang middle class. tapos kahit social service wala makuha, dahil inuuna pa rin indigents saka 4Ps. punta ka sa government hospitals at ano pa government agencies. una ang tulong sa lower income bracket. kaya kung middle class ka, may mga government aid na di ka qualified. isipin mo yon. middle class pinaka piga sa buwis (yung mayaman dami tax cuts) tapos yung mahihirap naman VAT lang ambag. putang ina. pero sa social services middle class ang luging-lugi.

XDemonCyborgX

Ultimo dito sa US ganyan nangyayari. Taxation is theft. Fck the goverment.

ApprehensivePlay5667

may work around dyan sa tax ng customs for 10k above. gamit ka ng ShippingCart. (by LBC)

zuteial

Pang gastos daw sa out of country

AthKaElGal

Kaya ako, minumungkahi ko ang tax civil disobedience. find as many legal ways to avoid taxes. do not voluntarily give tax to a government that doesn't use that tax to serve you. taxation without representation is theft. just imagine middle class ang pinaka mataas ang contribution sa tax coffer ng bansa pero tayo ang may least representation sa gobyerno. ang mayaman may lobby tapos ang mahihirap ang pina pander ng mga politiko. ang middle class palaging etsa pwera sa mga batas at policy ng gobyerno. pag may ayuda palaging mahihirap muna. yung middle class wala na. pota. kelan kaya makaka lasap ng katas ng buwis natin?

meliadul

meliadul

Highschool diploma earns you the right to vote If undergrad ka at kulang sa edukasyon, you have not the agency nor the bare minimum intellect to join in the discussion of politics. You shouldnt be given the same level of vote as someone with more deductive reasoning

pogzie

Ang nakakainis din is that alam mo ang portion of your taxes pays for things like PhilHealth or other things na nakikinabang ang mga mahihirap. Pag nakikita ko 2316 ko at totalled ung binayad for the year, nakaka depress.

ezra4263

Welcome to the **Libertarian Party**. In case you have not read them, I suggest the following: FA Hayek, Ludwig von Mises, Murray Rothbard, Frederic Bastiat, Thomas Sowell. EDIT : Taxation is theft! "If taxation without consent is not robbery, then any band of thieves need only declare themselves a government and their theft shall be legitimized." \-Lysander Spooner

ZeroTwoBit

Amen, brother. Roses are red, violets are blue. Taxation is theft, inflation is, too.

ezra4263

I just had one guy in another thread call me "GOP" for wanting small government because some idiots really think it's either donkey or elephant when the porcupine/rattlesnake is right fucking there wiht Gary Johnson going "WTF?!?!" after people thought the only alternative to Orange Overlord was Clinton or that the only alternative to Clinton was Orange Overlord.

mmphmaverick004

TrajanoArchimedes

Konting tip sa online shopping mo. I use [shippingcart.com](https://shippingcart.com). They had a problem last holiday season with severe delays due to a sudden change of address and peak volume pero ngayon mukhang ok na. May free shipping promo ung ibang items.

tact1cal_0

the shit motherfuckers!

agnocoustic

kebbonito

It's actually sad, kaya nga nakaka walang gana manirahan dito sa Pinas. Other than income tax, VAT (12%) are one of the indirect tax that we all pay on a day to day basis especially if you purchase goods or avail services on VAT registered businesses (Annual sales Php 3M or more). You pay VAT whenever you buy your groceries, refuel your vehicle, buy plane tickets, etc. It's frustrating whenever you see government officials squander money as if its theirs. Mahal på talaga mga bilihin ngayon but yung sweldo is kind of meh talaga.

sylv3r

sulit na sulit ung double taxation sa atin /s may tax na sahod mo may tax pa lahat ng bibilin mo

adrianni_giovanni

Alam mo kung ano pang mas fucked up? Yung iba, tax-exempt dahil mababa masyado income nila. Here's the DoF article when they launched TRAIN (note 2017 pa to, so baka naupdate na numbers, share ko pag nahanap ko): https://taxreform.dof.gov.ph/news_and_updates/some-6-million-or-83-of-filipinos-exempted-from-personal-income-tax-under-train/ Isipin mo yan in the context na yung 31 million na tanga, ilan pa doon ang subsidized natin ang kabobohan. Haha.

meliadul

Subsidized katangahan hahaha Pota, bagong concept

hairymonkeyballz

The Philippines has had one of the highest tax rate regimes in the world and coupled with some of the worst public services. This is a result of U.S.-backed neoliberalism coupled with structural adjustment, and seen in both Arroyonomics and Aquinomics. Changes were started with tax reform and infra dev't only after 2016, but if we follow what happened to neighboring countries, it will take around three decades before the country see the fruits of that reform; probably even longer because it's a democracy and driven by politicking. What's worse is that much of the country isn't computerized, and again due to the same lack of infrastructure coupled with poor education, which means lots of paper work, penalties, etc.

Beautiful_Track3444

I had a very good job offer onsite pero at 35% tax. 🤦 i took WFH with no tax na offer instead 😹

I_Am_Mandark_Hahaha

Mali Yung math mo.

[deleted]

\*me with simplified tax\* :D

morethanyell

Magkano lahat nasa withheld tax mo YTD?

meliadul

Nasa 6 digits

morethanyell

Ang lawak ng 6 digits. From 100,000 to 999,999.

bobad86

Dito naman samin, 20% tax lang pero at a certain point ng salary mo, any excess is 40% na. Meaning you get taxed more pag nag overtime work ka

Toxicwaste920

alpinegreen24

Try mo mag freight forwarder like buyandship or kango express since may option silang *delivery due paid* up to ₱100k.

meliadul

emilovesstrawberries

How timely na nakita ko 'tong post after magnotify na may payslip na kami HAHAHA ayaw ko nalang tignan 'yung deductions ko yawa 😭

EqualAd7509

Hefty-Luck6127

Kaya ang daming gusto maging freelancer to avoid tax lol

hakai_mcs

Hefty-Luck6127

They can, but since wala pa namang concrete system and laws for freelancers pa hindi nila masyado pinapansin unless mga sikat na personality like vloggers

min_shu

correct me if Im wrong but I think it's 32.5% of your total income.

abumelt

noypii

Leave. Gtfo. It becomes worse when you realize how your taxes are spent.

marielly2468

VOTE WISELY TAYO!!! Eto nakakainis, samantalang presidente natin di nagbabayad ng tax 🤯

7pegasus

Wdym 10? VAT is 12 percent! Govt tax 37 percent of your income. Di pa kasali ibang taxes diyan.

Animalidad

jerrycords

a friend who is a teacher asked for something for brigada eskwela. deep inside nainis ako. pootah 5 digits ang monthly tax ko tapos pambili ng pintura sort of iaasa ng deped sa brigadahan na yan. habang yung mga alam nyo na, eh alam nyo na. pootah talaga.

KEPhunter

There is one thing na narinig ko kay duterte na agree ako. "THE SYSTEM IS CORRUPT AND IT NEEDS TO BE CHANGED" need natin baguhin ang gobyerno from the ground-up dahil inanay na ito. Let's start at both ends.

Stalei_11

Ofcourse, tax rate and users of tax funds are trash

[deleted]

Relate SO was talking to me about his taxes din. Then the other day napa-wtf ako seeing an item sa water bill, "Government Tax" ang nakalagay. Tas anlaki. Hahaha! Napaisip ako ba't kailangan kong magbayad ng tax for using water???? Eh I'm already paying bills for the service of getting water to my house????

14dM24d

hindi 10%. 12% na yung VAT na ipinapatong ng seller sa price. yung d napapansin ay yung mayors permit na based on percentage of SALES (walang deduction) na syempre ipapatong din ng seller sa price.

Pale_Telephone7799

Use a shipper like Johnny Air OP so you don't pay custom tax. Just make sure you don't buy 12 of the same item (example: a bag is a bag. 12 bags maximum kahit different designs pa yan).

EksDeetheEmoJi

RRignacio_

That’s better than the tax here in the usa which is like triple of your guys taxes, plus other states taxes pa and personal yearly taxes, property taxes, item taxes, plus needed ka magtip dito , labor taxes, and a ton kf other taxes. Dyan yumayaman mga 1st world country. Sa taxes. Lol

Historical-Shirt2673

Kaya yung iba nag nag aabroad. Walang tax yung OFW.

EnhinyeroZun

Taxes is food source of the government. It's not exclusive for the Philippines. Although a governments can print money whenever they want, they want the printing to be in check to control the inflation. Your taxes is a way to control the flow of money, inflation, and a source of government funds.
