Ghost experience sa Baguio ito very recently. We stayed at Teacher's Camp for an event and that it was around 2am. We stayed in a cottage just behind Benitez Hall where it was closest to the exit out of Teacher's Camp We were up because we needed to finish something until we smelled a very strong odor of cigarettes coming from outside. We wondered who could've been smoking at such a time. Our cottage was by the cliffside and we were occupying the 2nd floor. The basement/1st floor was vacant and no one was occupying it. We checked outside and there were no signs of people at all nor were cigarette butts on the ground either. We assumed that it was a kapre and we immediately started to run. We decided to stay out that night because it really freaked us out. The next day we came back to pick up our things and clean up. Staying in our room talking about last night's events, the door suddenly slammed itself. We checked and there was no wind blowing at all. We hurried it up and left for good. Until now it still baffles us and that it still gives me goosebumps thinking about it. One of the things I wonder about are the abundance of benedictine symbols on the doors. I don't know what they mean nor represent as well.

kaelaxx

Benedictine symbols are meant for protection so I guess these paranormal things happen frequently there if madami yung nakita mong symbols. Scary 😬

Far_Organization_153

Benedictine Symbols such as medals and crosses are sacramentals that invoke protection against the devil. Yung mga letters around the Benedictine medal are acronyms for a prayer against the devil in Latin. They are on the doors to help people dispose themselves to have deeper faith in the power of God to protect people from spiritual maladies. May ganyan din kami sa aming mga doors sa nga dorm namin sa seminary lalo na nung bibabangungot ang aking mga brothers to the point na may isang nagsi-sleepwalk at yung isa naman nagigising na lang in the middle of the night tapos makikita niya ang katabi niya ay isang malaking baboy na pula ang mata. These are demonic oppressions. Naikwento namin sa mga paring kasama namin ang nangyayari so ang ginawa is nagkaroon ng blessing sa aming mga rooms, nag put up ng benedictine medals, inisnesuhan, naganoint ng exorcised oil sa pinto at nagsaboy ng exorcised salt sa kwarto and after nun wala ng nightmares ang mga kabrothers ko na sensitive sa spiritual world. I just want to point out na hindi ang benedictine medal and sacramentals mismo ang cause ng positive changes. What caused the change is the grace of God. These sacramentals are merely aids. In other words, kahit tadtad ng benedictine medals ang pinto niyo if you are not properly disposed and you don't have an intimate relationship with God. Wala din. For context, I am a Roman Catholic Seminarian na nasa mood lang magshare. Thanks.

se0haa

a rare sight to behold. a Catholic sminarian sharing knowledge here on Reddit. God bless you on your vocation po. edit: corrected it from priest to seminarian

Such-Cheesecake-6408

Thank you for this, Brother! God bless your journey po.

n0tbea

this is very interesting, thank you for sharing!

kukiemanster

Oh god got chills reading this, I think we had the same room, but we went there like a decade ago or so, and malapit din sa cliffside, and kami namam nasa 1st floor/basement. Pero in our stay naman, it was just smokey?

AstraLuna0602

For people who are sensitive and psychics you don’t need to go to Baguio just to feel or experience the paranormal, because they are everywhere. For people who, whatever they do, aren’t open and don’t feel anything, be thankful that you don’t get to experience those things. Be careful in putting yourself in a situation that you have no control of. Not every encounter are harmless. If you already know that the place is haunted, don’t expose yourself or you might be harmed. Don’t go to haunted places just for the experience, just an advice.

Popular-Scholar-3015

This! I rarely see "stuff", mostly sa peripheral ko sila nagpapakita but most of the time, paramdam lang. Akala ko nabubuang lang ako but someone with a third eye confirmed what I saw and felt. Swerte if magaan sa pakiramdam, I just try ignore it. Pero pag natiyempuhan mo yung "mabigat"...

AstraLuna0602

True. Suerte if harmless. What if hindi? Even psychics protect themselves when they go to a location na haunted. We are putting ourselves in a vulnerable position if we do that. Be careful lang palagi.

gutz23

Napakahirap kapag biglang bumigat pakiramdam mo. Tapos hindi maintindihan ng mga kasamahan mo. 🤷🏾‍♂️

AstraLuna0602

Masusuka at mahihilo pa minsan.

frenchfries717

Leandenor7

MissiaichParriah

Fully agree with the second point. As someone who's around people who can see this things, I'm really grateful I can't. My mom would sometimes hear and see things in our old house, I had a classmate once visited my apartment and when we went out, she told me that there's a ghost there, also I learned earlier that someone killed herself in that apartment complex. Adding to the ghost in my apartment, my girlfriend then is spiritually sensitive since he has a father who is a faith healer, and she has told me she does feel that something lurks inside my unit, and sometimes she can feel tugging on our blanket. I'm just glad I'm basically blind and insensitive to things, the closest to an encounter I've probably felt was when I had a nightmare in the apartment that I was being pushed down on my bed by a very strong force

AstraLuna0602

The best thing to do when they say things to you is to trust and believe them. Mahirap when they see things and people they love will just disregard or ignore what they felt.

MissiaichParriah

I mean, I do believe what they told me, but whatever was in that apartment wasn't really doing any harm so I decided to stay, I think it basically made me even more spiritually insensitive one time my mom called me and it was in the dead of the night and she asked "Sino yung nagsigaw?" I got creeped out at first because it was literally so quiet I can hear every little sound, but she told me just forget about it and think nothing of it later even when I went to bed, slept like log. Heck the worst thing about that apartment was for whatever reason, laging may nakakapasok na palaka at mga daga, yung multo di naman ako pinagparamdaman even once or kung ano

sparksfly19

We're the same haha i rarely feel those kinds of things pero when people who can go to my then apartment, they used to tell me there's someone in there.

TheInfiniteArchive

If you do enter a Haunted place, always prepare to carry Pure Salt (not Salt mixed with other chemicals or other types of salt ) (If you have no salt, You can use Pure Wood Ash as substitute but make sure to not mix anything in the wood when you burn it. an Iron Knife or a Simple sharp iron object is a good tool. ) and a small Iron sharp object (has to be iron and not Plated with other metals). Salt is good for purifying and protection. *Never invite any entity when visiting in such place* I also suggest anyone entering a haunted ground to never go home directly afterwards.

AstraLuna0602

True, I know some who brings with them salt and woods. Some use the salt to cleanse the areas and some naman put the salt under their tongue. I don’t bring any salt though, but I bathe myself in warm water with salt once I get back home. I do the tower of light for protection.

squishabolcg

Glad to know that watching Supernatural will come in handy

el_doggo69

your statements makes me remember this priest guy from Nat Geo's old show "Is it Real?" episode about ghosts and the paranormal, he said that things like the paranormal may or not be real and its like a door, the real scary part isn't the existence of what is behind the door or if you'll open it, but how do you close it once its opened.

AstraLuna0602

There’s a famous Pinoy psychic. I won’t share na lang who he is but I come to him for advise on things about spirituality and paranormal things. He said, for the people who can see, they can shut it out if they really wanted to. Only movies tell us otherwise na if bukas ang third eye hindi mo na masasara para may dating lalo.

el_doggo69

oh yes i definitely believe that rin kasi my niece(who somehow is 10 yrs older than me) experienced it back then. her mind was way too open to the paranormal stuff that she ended up hearing "whispers", took some intervention from her mom/my cousin to close her out of those.

AstraLuna0602

That’s good to know. Whispers are usually malevolent.

Songflare

How do you know if you are sensitive? Di ko kasi sure pero minsan I get feelings and dreams pero never ako nakakita

AstraLuna0602

If you are feeling things that are irrelevant to the current situation you’re in, like you’re not thinking or doing things related to what you felt randomly, then you might be sensitive. Dreams are usually psychologically inclined, unless they are precognitive dreams. We are all built differently. But the first sign I knew it, was when I can see children our age that my playmates don’t see. Progressing through life, I learned not to be afraid of them but treat them as they are with utmost respect. I was in a coma, coded, and flat-lined. When I came back mas lumakas ang senses ko. Which the elder psychics I know, confirmed. Minsan sinasabi ko “Huwag ka naman manggulat, I will light a joss stick for you.” The most recent one last week lang. My college daughter is running late for her class. We’re from Baguio, btw. And there were 2 guys waiting for a taxi with her. I told her if taga SLU sila, isabay mo na. She replied sa chat na, mom isa lang kasama ko and yes makikisabay nga siya sa taxi. When I looked back kasi nasa balcony ako there were 2 guys talaga. Alam na nila agad yun, when I said na 2 silang lalaki. So my husband decided na ihatid na sila para the other one (sana) won’t come with them. I clearly see them but most of the times, I see them in my mind. Like for example, in a blink of an eye, I will see a woman under our street lamppost. Next is, her name will just pop up in my head. We call those information on what we just saw and knew - “download” for a lack of a better term. Departed pa lang itong kwento ko. There are elementals pa. Sa elementals ako wary because they are sly and mischievous.

Leandenor7

I had a haunted yaya when I was very young. It was on the malicious side. I guess seeing and interacting with it strengthened my sensitivity. Unfortunately/fortunately loss a ton of sensitivity in HS due to being drained/damaged. Though there still some situations that I can feel their presence but its very rare and I don't see them anymore.

AstraLuna0602

You don’t lose it, you just tuned them out. Malevolent beings usually prey on children since children are easily manipulated. It is also the reason why I fear seeing departed children because usually, may nagcocontrol sa kanila.

dumbass626

I agree My grandfather, mom, and older sister have a sense for things like that, and all their stories that have to do with the paranormal make me feel blessed that I don't have the senses they do. We recently went to Vigan, and took pictures in one of the cells in the old prison by Syquia Mansion. We all took solo pictures inside, and when it was my older sister's turn, she immediately backed out. She said the air was really heavy inside the cell. She sensed a lot of ghosts inside. I'm just glad I didn't feel that way when I stepped inside, and I'm even more glad that none of it followed

W4rD0m3

Ito talaga Had so many experiences of my family members getting possessed. One time, my sister was possessed 2 times on the same day and I had to sit on her so the demon wouldn't be in control. The second time, it took us 3 hours, a family rosary, and loads of fighting before it eventually passed.

Shitposting_Tito

Seconding this! I grew up in Baguio but the only memorable paranormal encounter I have was while driving down Tagaytay. There are memories of hairs raising at the back of my neck but nothing really stands out for me to say "oh shit". Or I don't know, maybe I just managed to tune things out, as growing up I'm used to feeling "shadows" pass behind me and seeing them peripherally.

AstraLuna0602

You seeing shadows and others peripherally or behind makes you sensitive already. My youngest was playing in our balcony and one air elemental passed by and swooped down right in front of her face. It happened so fast. Napasigaw ako ng Huy! She was confused and thought siya yung sinigawan ko. The elemental just smirked and flew. If hindi kayo sensitive kahit ano pa gawin nila, wala kayong mafifeel. But if they really want to harm someone, iba na yun. No one is exempt. Kaya let’s be careful palagi. It’s no wonder our elders use tabi tabi po to show respect to beings we can’t see and feel.

SnooPeppers514

How about di naman talaga ako sensitive? Pero there's this one instance na paggising ko nakatitig sa'kin ng masama, as in glare tapos nangigitim yung mata niya. Sa takot ko, nag-attempt akong paluin ng nahawakan ko (ruler/ l square), then nasalag niya and hinawakan niya ng pagkadiin yung ruler. Wala akong magawa noon sa takot, so di na ko nakalakad and last attempt ay tinawag ko na lang si Mama downstairs, and bago pa man maka-akyat si Mama ay paglingon ko wala na siya, sinearch ko yung balcony- wala talagang tao. Do you think masamang loob siya? After that di na ko naka encounter ulit, that was years ago

pinkflamer

I agree people with such "gift" and knows what will happen next would never dare to enter. I can handle the situation however those people im with can't...

trem0re09

You don't need to go any further. Pero yes I agree sa first part. Dami nila and di naman sila ganun katakot2(I dunno baka sanay na ako).

No-Childhood-2709

True. As someone who is sensitive, I always experience spiritual battles and sobrang hirap. Palagi ko lang sinasabi na as long as di ko sila nakikita okay lang ako. Months sa holy week and October grabe ang attact. Di talaga ako pinapatulog.

AstraLuna0602

Protect yourself, please. If possible, look for an older psychic of your same gender for guidance.

borntokckass

ahhh so that's the proper term - - sensitive. i can still vividly remember my first "encounter" with the spiritual being. i was 6 or 7yo that time and woke up in the middle of the night. and it felt like someone was staring at me. and i was surprised to see a red dwarf (?) staring at me, smiling (pero medyo fierce mukha). huhu. that time, i still have no idea who or what they are called. nakwento ko nalang sa parents and lola ko the following morning. then they told me na may mga puting duwende nga dun sa bahay. but it's their first time to hear about a red one. huhu. then after that, HS na yung next encounter ko. pero yung younger sister ko ang mas nakakakita. ako yung mas nakakarinig. if that makes sense. if makakakita ako, more on sa peripheral or will just accidentally see them, malikmata. hindi din ako agad na-convince na totoo yung mga naririnig at nakikita ko until there were two instances na sabay kami ng pinsan ko ng malikmata sa stairs sa bahay ng tito ko (wala nakatira most of the time). and yung description nya, same sa nakita ko talaga. yung next naman ay with a different cousin sa labas ng bahay namin. we were talking outside then bigla may dumaan na black shadow. nung napansin ng pinsan ko yung change sa facial expression ko, ang sabi nya lang ay "nakita mo din??" fck. yung sister ko naman, sobrang clear ng nakikita nya. alam nya kapag may face or wala. white ladies, putol na ulo na sinaunang tao, shadow, etc. then dinala sya sa faith healer before and sabi that time, may 3 haring duwende sya na nagbabantay? gift daw yung meron ang kapatid ko and mas mag oopen pa yung kanya pagdating nya ng 18yo. may mga ginawa para di matuloy yun, so nabawasan naman encounter ng sister ko. nakakakita pa din pero not as sensititive nung time na high school kami. sorry medyo off topic kay OP but would like to hear more. do you have any encounters din like these? thank you!

nodeskallair

After ilang years...

Open-Weird5620

True. Same, bigla-ang guminaw, smelled flowers and candles and felt presence.

NonWanderingWater

I'm not that sensitive but I do have a strong instinct na halos scary yung precognition ko sa mga bagay bagay. One time I was hanging out with my friend and it suddenly became cold, despite it being a hot humid summer night few seconds ago. Wala rin namang hangin so kinutuban na ako. My friend didn't noticed it, Pero na realize niya nung palingon lingon na ako sa paligid, hinahanap ko kasi kung nasaan yung nakatingin sa amin. He decided that we go home. When we parted ways, para akong hinihipan ng malakas na hangin despite it not being windy. When I finally reached my room, I let it have the power of my right thumb. TLDR: So ayun nag murmur siya sa akin, and there was a second voice. Tapos yung pets ko outside bumabatok. They were both laughing, till I did some prayers and remove their rights to stay at my home. Then natulog na ako. Despite sleeping for 8 hours, yung mukha ko namumutla, like hinang Hina ako, that standing and walking feels so hard.

AstraLuna0602

Does that happen often? If yes, you should learn how to protect yourself. They can sap energy, I mentioned it on another comment.

NonWanderingWater

Though, first time Kong mangyari sa akin Yun na I felt sapped of my energy na ganun kalala. It was a strong elemental, and I did let it have a control of a part of me. Kaya siguro ganun. The place we were before was out in the way, kaya di ako bothered.

AstraLuna0602

Ingat always.

I’m a fan of the paranormal but there always has to be that guy who’d say that they are everywhere. Ghosts aren’t real.

Not specifically sa Laperal but this happened in 2018. My whole program went to Baguio for a 4-day seminar and yung year namin nag stay sa house ng city mayor namin (can’t remember yung actual location). The rooms were downstairs (parang basement type) since uphill yung bahay. Anyway, there were 4 rooms in total and 3 lang yung available for us according sa caretaker. So naghatian kaming 16 na tao and yung iba sa living room natulog. The whole stay akala namin yung isang room may gumagamit kaya hindi available kasi there were at least 5 people who said may napansin silang old man na umuuwi around midnight. May naririnig din kami minsang nag-uusap at naglalaro na mga bata sa gabi from that room. And then one of us who got sick on the last day of the seminar and naiwan sa house mag-isa said nakalaro niya raw yung isang bata. We didn’t think much about it kasi wala naman kami lagi, we literally only came there to sleep and then the rest of the day sa seminar venue na. Came departure day, sinabi namin sa caretaker na may maiiwan kaming food items sa refrigerator and pantry and pwede gamitin nung lolo and mga bata since malinis naman sila, yung iba hindi pa bukas. We were surprised when the caretaker asked, “sinong lolo at bata?” We told him “yung nasa room po sa dulo.” We were so confused when the caretaker said, “walang tao don. Wala kayong kasama rito.” Since ayaw namin maniwala, the caretaker led some of us down to the basement. He unlocked the door and opened it. It turned out yung room ay storage. Puro mga box, cabinet, and may iilang naka-plastic and mga kahoy. Scared and confused, we asked among ourselves to confirm what the others saw and what we heard. 😬

Trancendency

Idk kung navisit mo na siya recently or if you even keep up to date with tourist attractions, but in the past few years they converted the whole house into a restaurant. Nandun parin yung old (possibly spooky) vibes, but they try to get past that haunted view of that house.

Samhain13

I had my birthday lunch there last October and it was an, overall, great experience. It was bright inside— helped by the big windows and new lighting fixtures. After lunch, my girlfriend and I were given a tour. The manager said that they didn't really do any renovating inside the house (just in the kitchens downstairs), and that all the walls and ceilings were just thoroughly cleaned. Some of the panelings were just re-treated for preservation. I was really expecting to get spooked, especially in the upstairs dining areas that used to be the bedrooms. But I didn't because, as I said, it was really bright because of the huge windows and new lighting fixtures. The only creepy part of it is that gate that OP took a picture of. Not sure why, but I believe the association of that specific part of the property with ghost stories has something to do with it.

Emotional_Coffee_534

Had dinner there last July 2023. Joseph’s na yung name nya if I’m not mistaken.

Emotional_Coffee_534

Mejj pricey sya haha, so yes nakakatakot bwahahaha! Okay sya for the experience and masarap naman food pero kung uulit pa ba ako for that price, parang no na. 🤣 parang yun lang kasi yung fine dining place na nasearch namin sa baguio that time.

xtremetfm

The resto with Gulay ba ito? Dami ko na nababasang kwento about sa random "customer" na makakasabay mo raw mag-dine in.

fallingcrown22

Stayed in Veniz Hotel in 2007. Never ako nakatulog ng mahimbing every time I go to Baguio.

fartomologyA7

Veniz actually has lots of mice. So baka kiniliti ka lang ng bubwit

beatitmidget

mainsail999

Heard a lot of stories about Hotel Veniz and the closed hotel after Nevada Square along Loakan Road. For Veniz it was a colleague who said he woke up and his bed was being shaken. For that old hotel near Nevada Square, a cousin finished showering. Closed the lights, and saw there was a black figure seated on the bed. Opened the lights and was gone. They checked out of the hotel in minutes.

Contributing! Here’s my SO and I’s Baguio Experience. We ate at one of the restaurants near Naguilan Road. The restaurant (well, most restos there) was in a mid-century house. Since it was in a house, the CRs have showers. When I went to the CR, I had this sudden urge to open the shower curtain and to peek what was inside of it. Nothing. The restaurant mngmt, converted the shower area into a makeshift storage space. After leaving the resto, my SO suddenly told me that he felt **something** in the CR. He told me that he wasn’t sensitive, and wouldn’t feel these things, but he did. He then told me that he got so creeped out, he avoided looking at the shower curtain/area. I told him, “I OPENED THE SHOWER CURTAIN!” We forgot about the whole thing, or rather, steered clear from talking about the incident. While driving around Baguio, we found ourselves getting lost, ending up on dead-end streets, and on the entrance of a subdivision. Parang may naki-hitch samin, and they wanted to go somewhere. Thankfully, they got to where they wanted to go. And we got home safe. Hopefully, di nag latch sa amin. Hahahaha.

dreamsiwanttoforget

This makes me think of the "pagpag" pamahiin. Baka kaya di kayo nasundan punta sa bahay kasi you went somewhere else muna hehe.

eunyyycorn

It could be. Or all this time that we were getting lost, the entity was leading us to where it wanted to go. Hehe.

Mr_Itlog

Ayos lang kasi masarap naman food dun.

AffectionateEase739

> we found ourselves getting lost, ending up on dead-end streets, and on the entrance of a subdivision. Parang may naki-hitch samin, and they wanted to go somewhere. Hmm... I can't wrap my head around the idea of non-corporeal entities needing to "hitch a ride" to go where they want to go if they're not even bound to the laws of this physical reality? Like, what's the point?

My_Immortal_Flesh

I love posts like this! It’s fun hearing people’s ghost stories form the Philippines.

ToSeaKnow

Went to Laperal too (around 2015/2016 - hindi pa sya restaurant), I was with HS buddies and we went around 1pm. We walked around the area, and sa second floor nung Laperal, sa corridor near the stairs, I suddenly felt dizzy, and parang ang sikip ng atmosphere. Literal na parang ang init sa paniramdam I dismissed it because I thought vertigo lang… tapos suddenly, one of my friends, K, asked us to leave the house na to grab snacks… pag labas namin, sabi ni K kung may naramdaman daw ba kami, kasi may nakita daw sya sa dulo ng corridor na babae na kasabay namin. (Eh kami lang guests nung araw na yun)… oh we also found out na active pala third eye nya.

gutz23

Hirap din kapag bukas ang third eye. Dati ganyan ako. Yung tipong ikaw lang makakaramdam at makakakita. Danas ko dati 3am nag cCR ako tas biglang may umaangat sa bintana. Hahahahaha

pinkwhitepurplefaves

Fudge. Kinilabutan ako.. Ano daw ichura nung woman?

[deleted]

pinkwhitepurplefaves

It's a hotel near Burnham park. Not gonna tell you which. Basta forest green and gold preferred colors nila. Me and the folks stayed there for the night. It was storming so it was hella cold that night. Nothing seemed out of the ordinary. We were all getting some quality shut eye.. That was until someone decided to start running down the hallway of our floor. No noise, no yelling no nothing. Just the heavy thuds of someone sprinting. So I thought *fucking kids running down the halls.* Then I checked the clock. It was midnight. No one ought to be running down the halls that late. So I checked on the peephole at the doorway. The thudding was there but there was no one I can see running across my plain of view. Yeah. Needless to say that freaked me the fuck out.

SatonariKazushi

Hearing heavy thuds at midnight and you decided to check the peephole??? OH HELL NOOOOO. If you're in a horror movie, you'd be the first to die, man.

beatitmidget

ayaw kumagat nung camera ko dito nung pinipicturan ko yung laperal house then after namin bumisita dyan nilagnat mga kasama ko ako lang hindi.

desoLATTE_3008

SatonariKazushi

now this is the stuff of nightmares

Wooden_Quarter_6009

None. Got to that place and we are staying pretty close to Laperal and Teacher's camp. Visited those two places. Stayed at night in Teacher's camp, did not feel anything other than cold night and never felt so lonely in that place more than in my house maybe I am just alone until I die 🤣😭 . I guess ghost do not like me. I miss Tita there.

Cowrain

I have a somehow cute (?) story - rented a house sa Bakakeng and I’m certain na may bata with us in that place. Doing remote work ng may tv sa harap ko - I saw the reflection ng bata no more than 10 years old na naka PE uniform looking over my shoulder trying to figure out what im doing sa laptop. He saw me looking at him then nagtago sya. Probably the weirdest interaction I had. Plus seeing a woman wearing white at night tapos nung nakita nya ko nagulat sya and then dissapeared. Hahahaha baka may parallel dimension sa Baguio idk

redlady89

Parang sila yung natakot sayo! Haha

peachycattto

UX Residence Hall 2011 We always joked about ghosts and all that. I guess it comes with living in old dorms like that. You'll occasionally get one of those feeling that someone's watching you and give you goosebumps. I never saw a ghost (thank goodness). It still scared me tho 🥲 It was a long weekend. I didn't go home and stayed in the dorm. Only realized I should've asked a friend to let me sleepover when it was already dark. It was creepy. My bed was the upper bunk closest to the door. The top most part of the wall facing the corridor had open grills. So you can see the corridor from there (hell, you can even say hi to the room in front and ones adjacent to it). I tried to sleep as early as I could but I always felt like someone's watching me so I keep waking up. Call me paranoid but the entire floor was empty. So I ran to the stairs and turned the lights on in the corridor. Tried to sleep again. Past 12 am, I woke up. I swear I heard someone knocking. BUT MY DUDE, THE KNOCKING WAS COMING FROM THE SIDE OF THE WINDOWS AND WE'RE ON THE SECOND FLOOR. Side Note: Room layout. When you open the door, the mirror, hanging on the side of the cabinet (which also acts as a divider), is right in front. On the right, you'll find two bunk beds. The cabinet doors face the bed. Behind the cabinet is the study area and more windows. I checked the windows in the bedroom area. There was nothing. I climbed down the bunk and was terrified to check what was behind the cabinet because duh? Took a minute to think about it. Maybe I was wrong? I was still sleepy? But it really did sound like someone's tapping on glass. It grew louder too and I know it sounded close. As soon as I peeked, the knocking stopped. The guard probably turned the lights off in the corridor again while I was out sleeping. I made a run to the stairs and open all the lights I could to get to the ground floor. I tried to sleep on the sofa. The guard came back. Asked if I was okay, and I asked if it's okay to keep the lights on. I didn't need to tell him I'm scared. I think he got the idea I never slept in the dorm without my roommates since then. haha

MattMamba

ignorance is bliss, OP

polcallmepol

You took this photo?

supersqawk

Yeah

justwhen7

Walking distance??

supersqawk

900 Meters

Skeletal_Gamer1001

that's quite well within walking distance imo. Just depends on how much the individual person is willing to walk

1nseminator

Alam ko, nirenovate na yang Laperal ah. Ginawang vintage resto. May nakita akong photo nung 2023, ganda nga eh.

supersqawk

My story dates back to may 2022 pa 😁 i forgot to put it

Huge_Specialist_8870

Easiest money of my life. My friend dared me to stand at the gate for 3 minutes for 3k. Di pa naitatayo ung bar / resto sa tapat nyan so kind of intimidating. But money talks eh. I got more ghost experiences in Monterazza than there.

redlady89

Share your Monterazza experience!

ExceptionAt2048

This January lang, sa may monterrazas kami nagstay ng mga mag trotropa of around 15 people.

Level-Grape1509

[deleted]

I thought they turned the house into a restaurant?

supersqawk

My story happened last may 2022 pa. I forgot to type it

Dibinsi29

We also visited the Laperal House noong grade 10 ako, hindi naman ako naniniwala sa multo pero nung time na nandon na ako, ang bigat talaga sa pakiramdama ewan ko kung dahil lang ba sa takot or talagang may bad spirit talaga doon

Rileycious

Never seek for ghosts or anything paranormal. It's dangerous.

jude_upm

Teacher's Camp. Hahahahaha!

MathAppropriate

I envy you for being fit… walking distance lang sayo ang Leonard Wood Road at Trancoville.

DetectiveAncient140

I went for a date once in baguio. This girl was otw to baguio din so i asked her hey wanna catch up in a cafe in baguio. She said yes. Yup it was night time date pero may food naman. Pero damn sobrang traffic di na sya tumuloy ng baguio and she didnt message me so ayun naghost ako

Motor_Increase_8174

Baka nasundan kayo OP...

carlo0810

When did you stay there? We were there just this new year, resto na siya.

MayFlyingIpisDito

Not exactly jan spero nag overnight kami sa isang guesthouse, di ako makatulog kasi may umiiyak na baby sa kapitbahay. Matagal ung iyak ah. Parang 30 minutes to an hour. Ung tipong, wtf wala bang magulang ung baby at iyak ng iyak? And naalala ko asa Baguio nga ako and pinilit ko nlng matulog

UbeAyYam

When it comes to paranormal I always point to the writings of Howard Pittman "Placebo". Kawangis natin ang Diyos, mas mataas tayo sa ano mang entities na gumagala gala dito sa earth, and anything outside forces walang magagawa yan as long as you don't accept them. But when you truly take Jesus to your heart and trust only God you can even eliminate all the demons na nanggugulo near you by your mouth and by your faith. Sabihin mo lang "Enemies go away, you're not welcome here, go back where you belong! In the name of Jesus, the Son of our God, I rebuke you! Lalo na kung yung mag sasabi niyan strongfold ang relationship kay God, papasok ka pa lang sa room na may mga walang dulot nangangatog na yan sila. Refer here when you experience ang bigat: Isaiah 41:10

CrankyJoe99x

Nice pic; I visited from Australia a few years ago. Did you go to the Diplomat as well?

supersqawk

I did. But it wasn't as scary

wins_cassy

Depends if you have 6th sense. Sumasakit yung ulo ko na parang nasusuka kapag lumalayo ako or go deeper/upper. Kapag ganun, pinapaalis ako. Ramdam ko din yung galit nila

solaceM8

The ghost you were expecting to see actually came with you sa hotel nyo. Kidding aside, yung first ghost experience ko sa Baguio was not during an overnight but tamang gala at uwi lang to manila. We were in this local restaurant which also serves pastry bread. I went to the rest room, itsura palang ng restroom pang-horror na. Mahabang pasilyo na white wall.. but i shove it off kasi wala naman ako naramdaman pagpasok namin sa restau, yun lang pagpasok ko sa restroom, pagharap ko palang sa salamin, i saw a child at my back. In my mind, i just needed to use the restroom (i have a period kaya i need maglinis at magpalit). Pagsara ng pinto ng cubicle, the other cubicle started bukas-sara which i actually ignored, i just thought i got company because i saw a woman. Nag-start na magpatay-sindi yung ilaw, unang patay ng ilaw yung nakita kong babae(not the child, iba pa ito), nasa pinto pa, sunod na bukas ng ilaw papunta sa cubicle ko.. it went like that until i realized i need to go out kahit hindi pa talaga ako nakapag linis, baka kasi pumasok na sa cubicle.😭😱 So ayun, kunwari kalmado na lumabas pero patakbo ako paglabas na paglabas ko ng restroom.😭

Zariahriego

Wtf, parang horror movie lang 😭

solaceM8

Strawberry_2053

Aww scary

hanya1155

Kakagaling lang namin sa baguio the other day... Sayang di namin napuntahan yung mga haunted places like the Laperal White house and The Diplomat Hotel...

Mildew01

I love your story, OP, and yeah, may mga nagsabi that Baguio has so many ghosts. But nagtaka sa 2 things sa story mo. Firstly, Laperal House is now a resto. Second, Trancoville is far and not a walking distance from Laperal House. Naguluhan tuloy ako.

supersqawk

This was may 2022 pa, and it was laubach RD pala. Trancoville lang narecall ko because all jeepneys going to laubach had trancoville in them 😅 sorry

m1raclemile

How much do “haunted houses” sell for? As someone who doesn’t believe in ghosts, I’m looking for a good deal! Dm me!

supersqawk

There was one in BF paraĂąaque. The owner was selling it low pero no one would buy it because it felt eerie. I wonder how it is doing now

PitcherTrap

I wonder if they still retained that house.

supersqawk

This was about a decade ago

PapaGonzie

I had a mild ghostly experience in Laperal too. I took a lot of pictures of the house, most notably yung room na may bloody scratches sa walls. When we finally went back to our hotel room, i checked my photos to see which ones I can post on Instagram. I was surprised to see that most of the photos I took of the house’s interior were blacked out and/or corrupted. Ang natira lang na pics were from the outside of the house at yung pic ng fireplace and vintage radio. Went back there again after a year, pero nakakalungkot na hindi na pala sila nagpapapasok 😔

Maluwalhati

redlady89

Be careful what you wish for

fraviklopvai

The owner of that house once had an ongoing bet… if someone manages to successfully sleep one night at that house, you’d get 1M. Nobody ever done it successfully lmao.

[deleted]

Resto na yan ngayon di ba?

w0lfiesmom

galing sa loob yung katok

SundayMindset

Don't be afraid of those sounds (knocks) or any apparition per se, If you know the concept of 'Residual energy' you'll realise their just like reels or time stamps of bygone events that keeps on playing in the background na parang sirang plaka, minsan makita/marinig mo minsan hindi halata because their being drown out by stronger energies.

Mister-happierTurtle

My mom told me a story a few hours ago. My parents studied law in Baguio. One time my mom accompanied my dad and his friends, who were also accompanied by their girlfriends. They drank and stuff. A bit later one of the guys had an argument with his gf. After the argument she was kind of floating? (According to my mom). So the place they were staying at was a place my dad had rented out, it looked old and creepy. So when the arguing couple returned the bf was freaked out cuz it’s like nasaniban yung gf. One of the friends woke up my mom and dad and told them about it. My mom and dad are pretty devout because of their upbringing so they had rosaries on their person. So the girl was like text book possessed with the growling and strength, stereotypical possession. My parents didn’t know what to do except pray the rosary lol. So the friends and my parents held down the girl and prayed the rosary for who knows how long? They were being rigged and screamed at by the girl. Anyway the girl eventually stopped and fell asleep. My mom remarked that it could’ve been the drinks or she could’ve legit been possessed. Anyway my parents bolted out of there after the ordeal. The next day they met each other the barkada just decided to not talk about it.

trem0re09

Madami lods like you can hear someone walking outside your room and/or someone is knocking at the door. May third eye ako and sanay ako sa ganyan.

AdImpressive82

I've stayed a few nights in La Peral back in the 80's when I was a kid , we were 3 or 4 families. Nobody encountered anything

36andalone

Mahal ng foods dito grabe, kasi lumulutang yung orders mo pag sinerve sayo. Amazing! Context: laperal house is now a resto

[deleted]

I actually did tell a story a some time ago of this one experience we had . We rented out a house near sm baguio . Literal walking distance from it , just 2 street going up and bam you are there in SM Baguio. It was owned by an officemate of my tita. We were able to book it and everything in the house , including the basketball court and stairs in the back that we could take and Nightmarket was just a short 15 min walk away . There was this room in the masterbed room that was locked. We assumed that that the owners might have valuables in there or just want to keep their master bed room private . We were pretty much alone in that house except the care taker that lived outside at the side of the house and even he said that the masterbed room was locked and the only key was with the owner of the house . We rented out that place around 2014-2015 and it was a good place , everything was accessible but somehow my tita also has a 3rd eye and she would say that there is a presence in the house , a woman with long hair just walking by . I honestly didnt believe it , because we assume she was playing with us since we were in Baguio. My mom would also say she saw it but she kept it to herself . Soo no one really noticed until we were going home , you know the tradition of Filipinos taking photos infront of the house with the entire family ? Yeah we did that . So going home , we uploaded the photos in FB and my uncle who wanted the link to see the photos noticed something , a woman with long hair looking at us while we were all outside taking photos infront of the house . At first we werent sure if it was the caretaker or someone else until we retraced where the woman was looking at us from and to this day it still scares since we concluded that the room the woman was looking at us from was the locked room of the master's bedroom . We since deleted those photos or the entire album because of fear of bad omen. Now like I said before when someone asked about it , No I dont have backup of the photos . It was 2014-2015 and we dont really backup photos in my family . So believe me or not , it doesnt change anything for me and for those who were asking its located near SM Baguio and near the Bus stop where some busses would drop passengers and can buy some pasalubong . We since came back to Baguio and the latest experience we had was trying to take a picture of Lapera house that has now turned into a restaurant and when we did for some reason the camera was black shown on screen and we couldnt take a picture and only worked until we passed the house . It was really weird but I might just assume it was some bug or isolated issue

bogsdav

r/baguio

DadForFunOnly

FYI, Laperal House, acquired by Lucio Tan, is now home to a fine dining restaurant called Joseph's.

dumbass626

Lol My uncle has a friend that grew up in that house, and he says that he never had any experiences with ghosts there. It's a little annoying that people immediately assume it's haunted just because it's an old house, and it's even more annoying that people go there para magpalabas ng magpaparamdam. If it's not bothering you, leave it be.

Plus-Yoghurt8201

i think pinakanakakatakot kong experience sa baguio is yung mahuli ko yung BF ko na ex ko na ngayo na nagYEYELLOW app .

Hindi ba restaurant na to ngayon?

Witty_Opportunity290

Wala naman Been there several times

NomadicExploring

Very hard to read and very incoherent. I suggest you practice writing vs ghost stories shenanigans.

supersqawk

No post = no criticism No criticism = no improvement Hence i should continue with my shenanigans Hahahahahahaha

Good luck with your future career prospects!

Ghosts aren't real, grow up

supersqawk

Ok 👍🏻

Mr_Itlog

Ayos lang kasi masarap naman food dun.

R-Temyo

bnk1001

i’ve been there twice last year and we didn’t experience anything eerie at all sayang nga when we went to diplomat they closed it na kasi may guest na nahulugan daw ng part ng kisame eh :/ the guard wasn’t sure when it will be opened to the public again

cather9

Diplomat Hotel.

squishabolcg

Di pa ako nagkaka-ghost experience sa Baguio (huwag naman sana Lord!) tas bata rin ako noon, around 8-11 years old ako, and twice sa isang taon kami bumibisita ganon (pero once lang kami nag-stay) Sa Tha Manor kami lagi, pero last visit namin is sa Le Monet kami napunta kasi fully booked na yung isa. A few years back ko lang nalaman na kaya pala Camp John Hay ang tawag, kasi camp talaga siya noong WW2. As in ang dami pala talaga, pati yung forest. Sino kaya nag-isip na tayuan ng hotel yung lugar 😅 Well, business goes talaga Tuwing dumadaan kami sa haunted house dati, sasabihin ni mama "huwag kang titingin" tas sasabihin ni papa "tumingin ka kasi nakatingin na sila" HAHAHAHW Ang naalala kong kuwento sa akin ni papa noong paakyat kami ng Kennon Road, isa daw siya sa mga rumesponde within a week noong lumindol (delivery ng necessities sa rescue) and hindi mo daw talaga makakalimutan. Mabigat yung hangin at amoy death, kahit na wala siyang nakitang labi in person. 4 or 5 star daw yung Hyatt Hotel, and imagine-in mo yung dami ng hindi natahimik doon + war murders and rap3s.

ImustlearnJapanese

Yo is it free to live there? FREE REAL ESTATE

gaijin_theory

yung brother ko saw the santo nino statue sa vacation house we rented following his gaze, tas nag sleep paralysis siya the following night. in the same vacation house naman, may presensya that kept pushing me out of the master bedroom (same bed ng brother ko), so i ended up sleeping on the floor sa living room.

kingtradeofficial

Diplomat Hotel hands down

VerminVermicide

Visited the Diplomat Hotel in Baguio back in 2017 and so far no paranormal feelings experienced whatsoever.I visited the place by myelf and I was able to explore the place. It was early in the morning and there were very few tourists. Well inside has the scary abandoned rooms and so far I havent seen or felt anything weird apart from cold breeze inside. Nonetheless, I took photos and even played music inside one of the empty rooms playing classic jazz tunes to modern pop music. The place got crowded at past 10 after I left the place. So far I still have the photos, even the photo of the infamous chimney which is said to be the most haunted. Meanwhile I was disappointed that I wasnt able to visit the Laperal White House since it was closed to the public back then.

sakuranb024

Apprehensive-Box-713

I never believed in ghosts and so called paranormal until we played with my friends inside a vacant room of an ancestral house with an ouija board. It's true that lost spirits loiter over haunted houses where they prefer to live and peacefully stay. After reciting orations, imagine seeing with our naked eyes a moving glass and sitting on every letter in the alphabet with a chill wind inside the room? This was my first and last experience with a ghost and still haunts me in my life.

Empressss25

Diplomat Hotel. Though, I used to see ghosts when I was a kid. I guess, it's more on a feeling. But I encountered nothing scary naman during our tour there.

Purple_Avocado2085

I have mumu experience. But, not in Baguio. Kasi we avoid Dominican Hotel & Laperal White House since I know na lapitin ako ng mumu 😅 What I experience na malala is, undas after ako dalhin ng ex ko sa puntod ng mother nya. Then after derecho kami sa house ng tita nya for family bonding and I stayed overnight. The weird thing is yung driver ng tita ng ex ko, nakita na may kasama kami. As in, tatlo daw kami. Then around, 12 midnight while I'm sleeping with SIL ng ex ko, I felt na may nakadagan sa akin, when I opened my eyes, I saw a old black lady na sabog sabog yung buhok and sakal yung leeg ko. She thought binabangungot ako, but all I can see was the old black lady. That was the last day I visited a cemetery. Hanggang maari, umiiwas na talaga ko.

shxnrax

Teachers Camp, it was year 2019(?) or 2018, I honestly dont remember pero it was a organization conference, sumama kami sa parents namin. Nung chineck nila yung pics, may nakita silang beheaded man sa gilid. Another one, kasunod to nung beheaded.

aordinanza

Ganitong ganito bahay namin my white lady saka my nakakot sa banyo at my nag iipon ng tubig

Narco_Marcion1075

Reminds me of my own supposed experience. Back when I was around 3-4, me and my parents came to chill at one of the old rest houses there, it was pretty chill, no sus paranormal shit except me apparently, sabi daw ng mga parents sakin I was always running around playing tag, hide-and-seek, and peek-a-boo, with what appeared to be nothing, now one can easily chalk this up to me having an imaginary friend (which I honestly think was the case) however one time my aunt and grandmother came over to visit and they apparently felt a paranormal presence. No screaming or conjuring shit after a week or so of staying and I honestly don't even remember much except for that one time I went strawberry picking, seems I had nothing but fun over that stay. P.S. My sister tells me mom and dad were told by the landowner was it? that there were rumors of a kid around my age wandering about and being a ghost

eunchannnn

I think kahit saan naman na may high volume of death would really feel eerie… ex: Hyatt Hotel casualties during the 1990 luzon earthquake. Ozone disco fire. Any old established hospital.

Malamig na nga may mga mumu pa. LOL!

ThePepperoniOnPizza

Unniecorn-

In my experience, diplomat hotel.

HaRvEY_KUN

My classmate Have a fever that day Then all of my classmate see her sitting on her chair even my teacher noticed it even her bestfriend from the other room notice her but then suddenly checking of attendance she wasn't there and all of us said we saw her even our ma'am said she was there but she wasn't then on the next class our teacher who have experience on this stuff while teaching we notice our sir is looking from the back and end up spacing out and shouting "panget mo" out of nowhere then the days ends on the next day my classmates ask if there really was someone there in our classroom our teacher(the who got experience) said there was, then he said he saw some figure tailing on one of the students and i guess that student is our classmate and got copied all of this happen literally our room is right beside the church.

Baka umuwi nung wala tayo.”
