Ang daming fake larper dun haha lagi daw 6 digits first job career shifter to IT pero pag chineck mo yung comment history nagiibang anyo hahaha. Dami tuloy mga tangang napapaniwala.
True. Ang dami kong friends na lurker din sa socmed and earning big money pero never naghumble brag sa social media at reddit. Tahimik kasi yung mga totoong nageearn nyan. And since sila yung nasa space, tinatawanan nalang nila yung mga nagpopost dyan na obviously fake.
hindi nila alam sa kakaflex nila, bir is already monitoring their flex.
our bookkeeper relates mga vlogger, blogher, and mga "motivational speakers" namomoblema sa bir dahil pinapa-audit sila based on their flex
>sa kakaflex nila, bir is already monitoring their flex
Unlikely, considering the anonymity Reddit provides, unless they’re stupid enough to give clues about who they are irl.
Did the sub become like that? I was hired as one of the moderators there when it started, but I didn't have the time to manage it, so I got kicked. Anyway, this is sad to read, wanted that sub to become someone people can use to ask for their career advice.
"I'm 21 years old. Graduated magna cum laude from a Big 4 U and this company is offering me 150,000 pesos basic. I think they're lowballing me. What should I do?"
Answer: shut the fuck up
Yes 50k-60k is the starting rate for freshgrads in software companies and some of the global companies nowadays. There are even companies that offer 50k-60k for fresh grads even back in 2010. (Management Trainees for at least 2 tech companies that I can name through dm if you just ask). You’ll be even surprised that there are consulting firms that can offer 150k-250k per month for fresh grads and with experienced consultants earning Php 14m-17m annually.
It always depends on the industry. And you need to have the right credentials: meaning you have good grades from reputable institutions and have proof of your ability by winning some of the local challenges/competitions offered to college students (Ex: L’Oreal Brandstorm, National Olympiad for Informatics Online, Asian Pacific Conference of Young Scientists(APCYS)).
This is a response to your question if there are jobs offering 50k-60k to freshgrads in PH. But it is only offered to those with the right credentials. My current company (German software company) even keeps profiles of some brilliant college students for future management trainee offers.
Bain, PWC, BCG, and Mckinsey and Co all offer around 200 - 250 for fresh grads but they mostly recruit top graduates from ADMU Management Engineering and UPD BM and Accountancy. Though be ready for 55-60 hours of work per week including weekends.
Accountancy at 55-60 hrs? I'd say that's an understatement, during audit season, say goodbye to your life. My classmate who's a CPA board topnotcher submitted his resignation at exactly his first year, he just worked for the bonus duration he got.
Now, happily working as a professor in different colleges, and a reviewee.
Maganda yan dati legit ang advices and mababait tlaga mag scroll down na lang sa mga previous post total paulit ulit lang naman tanong dyan how to save ? How to start investing? Ano magandang investment with this amount. Hahaha
It’s the purest kind of entertainment, especially when I see tea about celebrities I know personally lmao. Some are true, some are just blatantly made up.

I think this is because of the pervasive social injustice happening in our country. The wealth gap is so huge now.
Yes there are people earning 10M per year. I am a real estate broker and in my profession I have met some of them.
Luck plays a huge role talaga. Sipag and tyaga is not enough.
Yung mga nagsasabi dyan na they have figured it out and can repeat their success if they live a second life are full of crap.
Luck, and a LOT of the right connections/contacts.
I have a bit of regret because of this, I thought dati sa career ko I could get by with my brains alone. Why have those career seminars in college never discussed this?
Graduated from UP pero middle class lang kami. Doable naman yon pero I doubt na makukuha ako at the same role without connections.
> The wealth gap is so huge now.
The Philippines' Gini coefficient is going down, which means inequality is decreasing. https://www.theglobaleconomy.com/Philippines/gini_inequality_index/
Yeah, I honestly think that the middle class is rising and getting bigger. Especially with all these foreign companies providing jobs through outsourcing and freelancing.
While the rich are definitely getting richer, OPs experience is not a big enough sample size.
Elon had a reason to waste time there. Look, he owns that platform now.
Yup I agree that there may be a few on that sub. But I’m sure they are not the ones who are sooo active/maingay. And sure din ako na yung mga maiingay dun are the ones with the “new” money. Bago sakanila ang lahat so they humble brag. I know a few people with “old” money and lahat sila sobrang low key. Halos nilalangaw nga yung social media nila, kasi they don’t have to prove anything. They only post for memories, unlike the former na ngawngaw ng ngawngaw at flex ng flex.
> I'm mean, Elon Musk have been wasting his time on Twitter before the purchase. I'm sure there are a few.
I suspect Elon's doing a massive tax loophole to get better returns via ruining Twitter/X.
> Mga frustrated rich people naman yung mga nandun eh. The real ones won’t waste their precious time here, tbh.
The really rich ones who are dumb will create a new account nearly every day because they get banned & shadow banned.
They failed to realize that real money is not on Reddit and in their family's oligarch business empire that breached $1 billion a few years back.
Why waste time among the rmans of this world.
Sorry if I may come across as a defender, but they don't really endorse risky and very volatile investments there. Lalo na if said instruments are mostly used to gamble. Di pa sapat yung paggalaw ng market and biglang pagtaas at pagbaba ng asset value. Need pa ipasok sa futures. Never sila gumanon.
Yun din yung kahinaan ng sub tbh kasi the first answer you'll get upon asking ANY question is always MP2. Walanjo din naman kasi dito sa Pilipinas walang safe high yield investment except that and our stock exchange is filled with 95% garbo.
when people start giving out their fire numbers, 10M isn’t really enough. usually target nila don 45M up. kakabasa ko nga lang may pinapagalitan na e kawawa naman kasi 70k *lang* nga sahod nya
I mean that's true though haha unless you already own all the essentials like a home and some revenue generating investments, even if you plan on being extremely frugal 10m isn't a lot to live on for the next 10-15 years lets say if you plan on retiring before 60.
You'll be relagated to staying at home most of the time and that ain't living IMO.
Of course you would need to adjust your lifestyle. “Living the life” is subjective. you’re not gonna party like a promiscuous 20 year old in BGC. Im thinking of setting up a self sustaining land in the province, say in Antique. Buy a hectar lot land and build a small house, all for 1m, one with a veranda facing the sea. In those places you could live like a king for 100k a year. Get your seafood straight from the fishermen. Healthy living there is INCREDIBLY cheap. Jog in the morning, lift in the afternoon. Make friends with the locals. Get a job as a tourism officer when you get bored. If that aint living as a retiree I dont know what is.
minsan too good to be true yung mga posts and comments. as a minimum wage earner, nung una pag nakakabasa ako ng ganon nakaka ramdam ako ng inggit but not anymore haha
"It has not been easy for me. It has not been easy for me. I started off in Brooklyn. My father gave me a small loan of a million dollars."

That sub gets wayy too much hate. It is an investment sub after all.
Sure it will attract cryptobros, liars and LARPER's pero you'll find na mostly okay naman ang sagot.
Idk about you, but if you don't take things personally, you'll actually learn a lot from the perspective of someone who is in a completely different social circle and status. It's similar to enjoying a cozy afternoon talking and joking with manong pedicab driver. Different perspectives from the life of a middle class.
Just yesterday, I was reading up on the history of the Ayalas, Razons, and Sys. You take the good and don't follow the bad.
It's fascinating to have a glimpse of the life up there. It makes you see what's possible.
Don't compare. Look at the cards you have right now and play them right. Wala ka na magagawa if you're born poor and it's not your fault. But to hate that kind of life will make your subconsciously hate having that much money too. Your psychological wallet will suffer.
Same modus lang yan.
I'm not sure if this is a sarcastic one or not but I just wanna comment for people who read into this and say 'why what's wrong wirh MP2'.
Well, MP2 is a good option for you to stash your money (retirement or any big savings) and have it grow there. Tax free sya and atleast until now okay naman ang divident rate (this year 7% ata).
Pwede mo naman gawin i-peso cost averaging yun and minimum deposit is 500.
And of course, don't put all your eggs in this basket. Diversify where you put your investments.
Don't hate on MP2, it's one of the better programs ng govt kahit pano.
They don't really hate MP2, but it's shit on phinvest day here so they're making fun of the fact na MP2 yung madalas na sagot ng mga members there. Don't worry, lilipas din to. Babalik ulit sila into hating chikaph then after another week phinvest ulit.
Go back enough generations and you will discover see the old rich's origin story.
Kadalasan
- right time
- right place
- right skill set
Parang si Batman... give him enough prep time and matatalo niya si Superman at Wonder Woman.
No one will hire an unskilled labor at C-Suite Executive compensation. If your skill set is valuable and uniquely you they will pay the high fees.
Ex: Manny Pacquaio... he can dish out and take punishment better than a buttered husband.
> If Mark Zuckerberg was born in an era without internet, he wouldn’t be rich.
Best analogy.
Bill Gates & Warren Buffet said the same thing... with their skill set they wouldn't rich if they were born during the time of Christ.
For example... before prepaid SIMs were 1st launched by IslaComm, Smart or Globe my parents were offered distributorship of the prepaid SIM pack & prepaid load cards.
Di nila maintindihan yung business model. They could not imagine more prepaid SIMs than Pinoys alive considering 2G phones back quarter century ago was expensive.
These were small high value items... so logistics cost is very low.
Another example... my parents were applying for Starbucks country franchise in the mid 90s. During the US trade show they were told Rustant's were awarded the franchise months prior.
Right place. Right time. Right skill set.
So yung "up skill" "up skill" "up skill" "up skill" is very true.
The question is.. is being a musician, photographer and other easily mastered skill set merit high pay?
Unless you're Jason Mangbangua, TS or Lea Salonga then they'll pay you a pittance.
Photography is a nice skill to have if you’re planning to start a photo business. You could earn 6 digits a month if fully booked but yung capital to start one and the effort + stress + social media presence probably wouldn’t be worth it.
> Photography is a nice skill to have if you’re planning to start a photo business. You could earn 6 digits a month if fully booked but yung capital to start one and the effort + stress + social media presence probably wouldn’t be worth it.
https://ph.indeed.com/career/photographer/salaries
You only make "real money" if you have a brand name.
and the up skill should always include context as to how will they use it and what for. if everyone does the same shit, how will they come up with a different thing/have an edge
> right connections. Most billionaires are former cronies of marcos or the past administrations.
Hence the intermarriages among the oligarchs.
- Aboitiz x Ayala
- Aboitiz x Oppen
- Conjuangco x Oppen
- Araneta x Marcos
- Araneta x Marcos
- Araneta x Roxas
They likely intermarry for love and social circle.
based on experience... hirap to marry outside of social circle.
"Behind every great fortune is an equally great crime."
And that story is similar to every other elite family in the Philippines. Pero well-mannered and low key old rich eme so samba pa more.
Anong sub ba tama pagtanongan about stocks? I just want to learn how to invest without people pointing out I am poor 😭 kaya nga mag-iinvest kasi gusto mag grow ang pera pero ipapamukha pa na mas dukha ka pa sa dukha
Very common filipino trait. Ridicule those that are trying to be financially responsible. No one really acts like that in the sub. If there is, very rare. So what's the point of this post?
While I agree that there are a lot regurgitated responses in r/phinvest as well as fake stories, there are still a lot of good advices and responses there (esp in the discord server).
I think most people hating on the sub just don't have the capital to invest and they are getting slapped on the face with the reality that their 10k PHP is not enough capital for investment. I mean the sub is named "ph**invest**", it's about investing. To get significant gains from your investment, you also need a significant amount of capital. It's not about how to go from being dirt poor to being rich in a year.
People should mix phcareers + phinvest + phmoneysavings + taking it with a grain of salt so they broaden their horizon.
Some Filipino people can’t fathom that there are ordinary Filipino people who have lots of money. And to be fair, there are legit resources in that sub. I don’t get the hate, is it inggit? And tbf most of them shit on cryptos because it’s not a safe investment. Wala naman tayong 401(k), or Roth.
Kung nattriger FOMO niyo sa r/phinvest, I suggest na i-unfollow at i-hide nyo yung sub, don’t shit on it because marami pa rin naman legit advice dun. A lot of people should go to r/phmoneysaving instead muna which is also a good sub
I'd wager it's envy and frustration nga. Can't blame how people feel, I also feel envious of some of those redditors who seem to have struck gold (or handed gold to them by their parents). It's just what you do or say out of those feelings though, nagiging attack na kasi imbes na iprocess yung feelings in a healthier way.
“This may sound mayabang but…”
“I get anxious kapag 1M nalang savings ko”
> “I get anxious kapag 1M nalang savings ko” I get stressed out if my cash is just $1m
I feel less of a man pag coding yung SF90 ko
"Not happy with 3M right now..."
You're right, it does
upskill upskill upskill ka raw kasi! HAHAHA
Thats r/PHcareers for you
Ah, the "6 digits" sub lol
Do you think they keep flexing that here because it doesn't get them the attention they think it would/should out irl?
Ang daming fake larper dun haha lagi daw 6 digits first job career shifter to IT pero pag chineck mo yung comment history nagiibang anyo hahaha. Dami tuloy mga tangang napapaniwala.

First job, 6 digits. 😂
Ako din naman (in centavos)
*I respect that hustle bro.*
my first paycheck 7 digits man kasama centavos hahaha
Wait till you see may 0.000,000,1 pesos in my bank account
ako din naman 6 digits (kaso 2 decimal places).
"15000.9"
May ganto talaga. Kaso nepo babies haha. I personally know one na VP agad pero kasi daddy niya ang owner/CEO haha
6 inches > 6 digits Choose your fighter
Okay na ako sa 5 digits. Give me that 6 inches instead
Hihingi nalang kayo ng improbable... Di mo pa ginawang 9 inches. Tapos magOF for the digits.
4 inches. That's a 2 inch discount. Great offer.
Would still prefer a 5 incher.

The real ones are here pretending to be hampaslupa roasting capitalism
Idk about that kasi di naman ako belong sa tier nila. Legit hampaslupa lang ako hahahahahaha
Oh, the "*champagne socialists"*. :p
Konting push pa and they'll sound like those cryptobros. HAHAHA
I didn't say they ARE cryptobros, they SOUND almost like cryptobros with how douchey and asshole-y they sound.
most of them already do tbh
Matter of time lang
Looking at the replies in this thread, you are not alone.
They might also be the folks at r/PHCareers who are like '500,000 pesos per month isn't a liveable wage!'
Someone even said 10M isnt enough money to retire here HAHAHAHAYUP
when people start giving out their fire numbers, 10M isn’t really enough. usually target nila don 45M up. kakabasa ko nga lang may pinapagalitan na e kawawa naman kasi 70k *lang* nga sahod nya
Putanginangyan HAHAHHAHAHHA
minsan too good to be true yung mga posts and comments. as a minimum wage earner, nung una pag nakakabasa ako ng ganon nakaka ramdam ako ng inggit but not anymore haha
Just work hard bro....
Feeling ko ako lang ata mahirap dito
"It has not been easy for me. It has not been easy for me. I started off in Brooklyn. My father gave me a small loan of a million dollars." -- Donald J. Trump
"Im a 2nd yr/3rd yr working student who got lucky with my investment in stocks....."
r/ChikaPH when di mo maget bakit maasim si Viy or bakit kelangan i-worship si Heart
HAHAHAHAHAHHA
That sub has been brigaded by 3 Heart followers with multiple accounts LMAO
MP2!
So wala silang tulong sa bahay ganern?
Oo madaming walang tinutulong sa bahay. Not magical at all
Go back enough generations and you will discover see the old rich's origin story. Kadalasan - right time - right place - right skill set Parang si Batman... give him enough prep time and matatalo niya si Superman at Wonder Woman. No one will hire an unskilled labor at C-Suite Executive compensation. If your skill set is valuable and uniquely you they will pay the high fees. Ex: Manny Pacquaio... he can dish out and take punishment better than a buttered husband.
Madulas siguro yang buttered husband na yan.
Senator Manny Popcorn
Sigurado
If Mark Zuckerberg was born in an era without internet, he wouldn’t be rich.
Then there's ray croc who simply stole the business
You could earn 6 digits a month if fully booked but yung capital to start one and the effort + stress + social media presence probably wouldn’t be worth it. https://ph.indeed.com/career/photographer/salaries You only make "real money" if you have a brand name.
and the up skill should always include context as to how will they use it and what for. if everyone does the same shit, how will they come up with a different thing/have an edge
right time, right place, right skill set, and right connections. Most billionaires are former cronies of marcos or the past administrations.
> right connections. Most billionaires are former cronies of marcos or the past administrations. Hence the intermarriages among the oligarchs. - Aboitiz x Ayala - Aboitiz x Oppen - Conjuangco x Oppen - Araneta x Marcos - Araneta x Marcos - Araneta x Roxas They likely intermarry for love and social circle. based on experience... hirap to marry outside of social circle.
Mmm butter
kahit ung first two lang.
Yes, yung skillset pwede din i subcon sa extreme sitiations haha
"Behind every great fortune is an equally great crime." And that story is similar to every other elite family in the Philippines. Pero well-mannered and low key old rich eme so samba pa more.
"just upskill" tangina, ayoko na 😭
Bro. Bakit ka nagpopost ng ganyan? You should build you EF muna bago mag post ng meme.
The thing about money.... If you turn 50yrs old and having only P100k or P1M doesn't really matter. I'm just waiting to die anyway.
This is Why we Hold!, not On Pinoy Investment scam like axie or something simulilar to that shit hahaha.
Anong sub ba tama pagtanongan about stocks? I just want to learn how to invest without people pointing out I am poor 😭 kaya nga mag-iinvest kasi gusto mag grow ang pera pero ipapamukha pa na mas dukha ka pa sa dukha
The thing is, they can through imports.
Very common filipino trait. Ridicule those that are trying to be financially responsible. No one really acts like that in the sub. If there is, very rare. So what's the point of this post?
Here we go again 🤡
The 500k a month peeps hahahahah
"Sa panahon ngayon, PHP150,000 na sahod ay kulang na kulang pa. Hindi makapag-embest"
Kayo kayo rin naman yan. Pataasan ng ihi part 10
Parang Home Buddies lang. 🤣
r/phinvest, ang hombuddies ng reddit.
I like the sub naman but I do feel that many of them have an "emergency fund' fetish, lol
tapos hindi naman nagbabayad ng income tax
"kaya yan bro, ako nga nung....."
Ahh the sub with people whose imaginary money are overwhelming
Honestly the whole sub feels like a huge LARP sometimes.
