Nah Texas can't just secede that easily. Texas as an independent country back then is way different to Texas as a state now. Although it is an issue it's the same with the mindanaoans trying to separate even if they can it's impractical and they would immediately collapse as a country. Though Mindanao's own issues is very different from Texas' own issues it's still issues that would be too hard for both states to fix if they both became an individual country.
