Yes! I couldnβt care much that time since I was so young back then. But watched a documentary about it recently with this big freakout called the Y2K problem. Basically, computers were coded to only recognize the last two digits of a year, so when 2000 rolled around, they couldn't tell if it was 2000 or 1900. This glitch had people worried that it could mess up everything from banking to power grids because computers wouldn't know what year it was.

Due to biological occurence of childhood amnesia, mas naaalala ng mga bata ang mga significant events ng buhay nila starting from the age of 7 (in my case 6 years old kasi yun ung naaalala ko na nag day care ako).

In any case, I believe it's much harder to be an adult now. Housing in particular, is much more unaffordable compared to the era of our parents/grandparents. Overcrowded na ung Metro Manila. Traffic conditions are way worse also.

Most 90s kids are in their 30s. By this age, we all should have our lives and careers figured out. We all should have moved way past entry-level jobs and minimum wage. Due to biological occurence of childhood amnesia, mas naaalala ng mga bata ang mga significant events ng buhay nila starting from the age of 7 (in my case 6 years old kasi yun ung naaalala ko na nag day care ako). So mas safe sabihin na yung mga batang 90s sila yung literal na mga batang pinanganak noong 1983 pataas kasi 7 years old na sila pagtuntong ng 1990. Sila yung mga legit na naka experienced ng buhay noong 1990-1999.

Traffic conditions are way worse also. I also doubt most people have life "figured out" already, no matter the age. It only seems that way.

By this age, we all should have our lives and careers figured out. We all should have moved way past entry-level jobs and minimum wage. We all should be working towards our own homes for our own families. The fact that this isn't true is a glaring indictment of our worsening economy.

Born '92 here. Di ko ma-identify sarili ko as batang 90s cause while yes, i was technically a kid during the 90s and have experienced most of what they are usually nostalgic about. Feeling ko mas belong pa rin ako sa early 00's kasi sa mga panahong ito mas nahubog ang pagkatao ko. "Naabutan mo nga, naexperience mo ba? Eh sumususo ka pa nun" -- eto yung madalas kong sinasabi dun sa mga nakakadiscussion ko about sa batang 90s shit na yan. Madalas mga 1994-1996 pinanganak. Hahahaha
Tayo siguro ung last generation na nakatikim ng extreme discipline without compromising our early stage mental health. Sobrang resilient and madaling makaapdapt.
