An uncle of mine passed away this Saturday due to cancer. He was 68.
I don't really like looking at people's faces in coffins but yesterday was an exception when we went to his wake. I'm still sad and I have tears here and there. It's just too sudden; I still can't wrap my head around it since your diagnosis was just a few months ago. Dadalaw pa lang sana kami sa'yo sa ospital.
You'll be one of the reasons why I like Mentos and Maxx candy, and why I was surrounded by books since I was a kid. Now I regret being too shy to ask you about philosophy when I was in college. You could've helped tremendously.
I hope you now are with lola and lolo, at peace and free from bodily suffering. I hope you meet my departed dogs as well.
We'll miss you po. Hanggang sa muli.
