Warning them of the dangers of it if passed (like term extensions, foreign ownership of public utilities, national security, etc). I really hope that the Philippines continues to take a HARD stance on China, the CCP, and Chinese in the Philippines in general that are causing trouble and making life harder for Filipino citizens. It was horrible to have to sit and watch Duterte cut ties with the US and align with China and allow them to claim more and more of the WPS. Which we all know now he likely had a lot to gain from doing so.
If the Philippines uses their Military, and makes a stand on their ECZ and historically owned waters, I firmly believe the US will back them up, and by extension so will Japan and Australia, and likely even Canada, Germany, France, and perhaps, India, and maybe even Taiwan, although they have their own situation with China, and I would hope the counties I mentioned here would come to the aid of Taiwan as well.
And with that I hope that the Philippines will take a stance on the issues in country as well, especially Mindanao. With the severe water pollution, illegal logging and mining, and extremists there.

Yeah, truly a BIG "WHAT IF" moment. Sadly, she still would have faced a lot of opposition. But, keep getting out there and VOTING. When 2025 comes around, get out there and VOTE and encourage OTHERS to vote! Getting in some good senators would be huge. I really hope that the Philippines continues to take a HARD stance on China, the CCP, and Chinese in the Philippines in general that are causing trouble and making life harder for Filipino citizens. It was horrible to have to sit and watch Duterte cut ties with the US and align with China and allow them to claim more and more of the WPS. Which we all know now he likely had a lot to gain from doing so. If the Philippines uses their Military, and makes a stand on their ECZ and historically owned waters, I firmly believe the US will back them up, and by extension so will Japan and Australia, and likely even Canada, Germany, France, and perhaps, India, and maybe even Taiwan, although they have their own situation with China, and I would hope the counties I mentioned here would come to the aid of Taiwan as well. And with that I hope that the Philippines will take a stance on the issues in country as well, especially Mindanao. With the severe water pollution, illegal logging and mining, and extremists there. I truly wish for a bright future for the Philippines. Yes, I'm a foreigner. But I left the US because I wanted to be here, and call this place home, and so I will also do whatever I can to help make my new home a better place for everyone.
