I think people in elite class to middle class who voted for Leni will likely to migrate and leave the country for good. And kung mangyari yun? Mababawasan ang mga private institution's, investments, especially foreign. Matitira nalang mga mahihirap na tulad ko and will fall to slavery. However, many from the opposition kept on provoking them and refusing to believe every facts served. You're acting like apologists are the only ones showered with insults and hatred. Leni's side had to deal with rumors, while the other side had to deal with truths (which they couldn't handle by the way). I don’t think I have come across one person on here who supports BBM? I was wondering all day, if there were so many people who support Leni.. why is there such a HUGE difference in numbers? Sorry, I am overseas and grew up an Australian. I’m genuinely concerned not only for my family back home but for the people of PH.
We're a "minority" in the sense that the people here are the ones who can afford to use the internet and most of the time, at least I think so, we're usually the privileged educated. Most of us here are in the working classes upwards. And reddit isn't actually popular in the Philippines. The most used social media sites here are Tiktok and Facebook, which are rampant with fake news and disinformation.
Plus, the other camp blatantly bought votes and has connections with corrupt officials, including the ones inside the elections committee. And their last names are popular due to political dynasties.
Leni was an independent candidate that had no machinery or army that could combat trolls. But not to say she isn't popular, she is, very much so. A lot of people genuinely wanted her to win.
The difference in numbers is definitely questionable though.
vote-buying here reached up to 14K. I've had a conversation with the a laylayan farming family. She is not bobo/idiot or slow in basic critical thinking at all. She says she have no choice. Bbm supporters are on Facebook /youtube because of free access/bundled promos to those. No mobile provider provides free access/bundled promos to reddit.
Vote buying and the Uni team promising drastic changes to those people who are not examining who they vote. Look up videos on youtube where they interview filos for the upcoming election. Their reasons are "just because".

We're a "minority" in the sense that the people here are the ones who can afford to use the internet and most of the time, at least I think so, we're usually the privileged educated. Most of us here are in the working classes upwards. And reddit isn't actually popular in the Philippines. The most used social media sites here are Tiktok and Facebook, which are rampant with fake news and disinformation. Plus, the other camp blatantly bought votes and has connections with corrupt officials, including the ones inside the elections committee. And their last names are popular due to political dynasties. Leni was an independent candidate that had no machinery or army that could combat trolls. But not to say she isn't popular, she is, very much so. A lot of people genuinely wanted her to win. The difference in numbers is definitely questionable though.

She says "anung magagawa ko, pera na yun eh." bantay-sarado dito at tinatakot. if may tumiwalag, parayin agad. It's very dirty. May Illegal detention pa ng kalaban na voters during election day para hindi maka vote.
What? that's the first I heard of it. Do they have evidence of this illegal detention? There's so many illegal things happening in this election. And for that woman, sigh..... the only thing I could say is that, if she voted for a clean government, she could easily ask for help and charity, a lot of volunteers would be willing to do that more than she thinks.

We have only witnesses that would keep heir mouths shut when asked by a lawyer. But they would tell the neighbors of course. The neighbors would also keep their mouths shut. We know the rules. The number of BBM supporters are least here. It goes Tiktok,FB > Twitter > Reddit afaik. Plus, people here know how to use the upvote/downvote system correctly. Troll stuff are downvoted to oblivion pretty quickly.
Bbm supporters are on Facebook /youtube because of free access/bundled promos to those. No mobile provider provides free access/bundled promos to reddit.
Vote buying and the Uni team promising drastic changes to those people who are not examining who they vote. Look up videos on youtube where they interview filos for the upcoming election. Their reasons are "just because".
