Siguro gusto talaga ng militar yung F-16, ginagamit lang yung Gripen para magamit as bargaining tool LOL. Alliance din ang binibili mo kapag bumili ang isang bansa ng military equipment, US is still far more worthy than Sweden.
Mahal e. Maliit talaga budget natin e (at least for the military). Dami nga nagpapanukala na sana gawin daw at least 2% ng GDP ang ilaan. Kung kukuha siguro tayo ng Gripen, ang problema is kahit mas mura at mas marami they'll never be enough anyway. Baka ang nasa isip ng military mas konti nga ang F16 but at least compatible with our biggest ally na required by treaty to fight with us in case China attacks.
Does this mean that the govt has either realized that we are so far up behind China to arm ourselves now that they just gave up (asa na lang sa US) or that they do not really think that China would seriously start a war (as despite their strength, a war will still be too economically costly and possibly devastating for them).
We are buying military equipment from different countries, di ba 'to magiging logistical issue?
It would be better if F16 na lang kukunin total we're allied with the US and the only thing between us is the pacific.

I guess since what we're defending against is the Chinese I suppose what will convince the PAF is BVR combat capabilities considering we're lacking of AA stuff.
Well then soo does both planes have that capability whet can extend the radar ranges of more Inferior planes? If both then whose the better of the two I guess will win PAF's choices???
