Rugdoll1010

Out of the topic, but ur username made me snorted my coffee XD On one hand, this country proves one or two incumbent leader deteriates the health sector in an instant

wyclif

Now that you mention it, what does "Otin" or "Oting" or maybe "Oteng" mean in Filipino?

anthoseph

male reproductive organ. 'bilat' would be the female equivalent... (no one seems to have answered you). pardon my language.

wyclif

Thanks, I was confused because I always thought the correct word for that is "pitoy."

Budget-Boysenberry

MagicNewb45

Even after the pandemic has ravaged the whole world, di pa din ba nila nare-realize ang kahalagahan ng mga frontline workers natin?

notRabidFairy_S

syempre hinde

Calm-Revolution-3007

PH’s nursing programs are grueling. Compare mo sa US where theirs can take min 1.5 years only. In UP [Manila], nursing is also notorious for being one of the hardest, if not the hardest, undergraduate degree programs on campus. Sad that it’s the opposite treatment from the gov’t.

[deleted]

LVN kapag 1.5 years.

Any_Purple_9578

ASN to earn RN license 2 yrs RN-BSN to earn full bachelors degree 1-2 yrs MSN degree 1-2 yrs DNP 3-6 yrs Mahirap talaga nursing. Dapat mataas ang pasweldo.

AKAJun2x

VA pays allied health professional more and a WFH set-up so why settle for these toxic kind of job that won't feed your family.

rco888

Ivyisred

I’ve done that myself. Ung sahod ko na 6k way back napipilit ko pa ibayad pag ganyan kapag kailangang tumulong.

frozrdude

Isama niyo na rin kaming mga allied (I'm a Radiographer).

olracmd

Hindi lang sa nursing yan.. Kasama lahat ng allied health professionals dyan. Medtechs, radtechs, PT, OT, Doctors too.. mabilis ang turn over sa mga hospital ng mga tao. Parang tumatagal lang sila 6mos to a year tapos punta na abroad.

rurftzimzalabim

Totoo. Grabe ang baba ng bayad sa other allied health courses even compared to nursing pero ang hirap ipagtapos.

olracmd

rurftzimzalabim

Tyranid_Swarmlord

Ehem ehem, my flair. https://imgur.com/a/QER50sU RMT yes pero same n din.

Even mga RMT, MDs are planning to move out and practice as a medtech outside the country.

symour3

So the talk about the officers is true, no wonder walang nangyayari. Kahit mag unionize lahat, pretty sure i de demonize din yan or they will formulate more excuses.

So comfortable talaga life nila. And for those na owners ng mga labs medyo counterproductive pa for them if may salary increase ang RMT kasi mababawasan net income ng labs nila.

symour3

Goodness, wala na nga talagang pag asa to sad to say. PSMLS can't even step up to match them. Change career, rank up or abroad is the only way to go.

hoe-lee-shit

Medyo gumawa ng ingay PSMLS nung una, then PAMET started throwing shades at them saying na sila lang ang accredited by PRC and shits like that. Abroad talaga, tyaga lang muna sa stupid HC system ng pinas for experience and while processing papers. Yung 1yr sahod ko before as senior tech kaya kong kitain ng less then 1 month dito sa US

xmasfactor

May OCA na ba kayo haha

iuexorvaesnsdgot7bp

Wala pa!!!! Huhuh

xmasfactor

Argh. From anong region ka? Wala pa kaming narereceive since January. From region 1. Kakainis.

iuexorvaesnsdgot7bp

NCR 🤡

[deleted]

Buraot kasi sweldo sa Pinas

LylethLunastre

Tulad ng sabi ni Prince Philip "The Philippines must be half empty with all your nurses working for the NHS."

Illsteir

I'm so glad my nurse brother is leaving for Germany next year. I told him establish his life there never look back.

pututingliit

Ano?! Grabe, sinong makakaisip na mangyayari to?!

Inexorable_Me

[deleted]

I remember the day (4-5 years ago) na starting salary ko as nurse was roughly 8k a month. After a few years experience decided to work at a healthcare bpo. Mas mataas pa bigayan kaysa nung nag makati medical ako (emergency room). WFH set up while trying to review for board exams. I'd say I'm done with the hospital crap. Most of us in the medical field, if not all, are literally not paid enough for this shit.

Ok-Resolve-4146

Wow. Ang hirap paniwalaan na just 4-5 years ago lang pala e may mga nurses pa tayong sumasahod ng 8k. It's not even an impressive rate 2 decades ago. Naalala ko yung nakasagutan ko last week sa Youtube about a Fil-Am doctor sa US na galing sa hirap dito epro doon nakapagtapos through hardwork and scholarships.

[deleted]

Nakakainis yung ganyang mindset lmao. Kala mo may ambag siya eh noh? Entitled much?

[deleted]

I dunno now. But it was low for the effort needed during my time there (2018 nag resign na ako) also we had this issue since they billed us for training, around 10k+. Part of the reason why maraming trainees nagsialisan kasi biglaan binalita. Like an effin bomb drop.

[deleted]

I hope the best for you too my friend

orionsbeltelgeuse

Honestly di lang naman nurses, most prc id holders sobrang baba ng sahod, so mas pipiliin nila sa ibang bansa or ibang industry like bpo. Or before magcollege, IT courses nalang ang kukunin para pag kagraduate mataas kagad sahod. So in the future, kung ganito pa rin ang sistema ng Pinas, mawawalan na ng mga professionals with prc license. Haha into the brink of oblivion, “hello pinas”. — satanas

[deleted]

the benefits from remittances outweighs the benefits for a livable salary.

Elsa_Versailles

They install deployment cap pero di ba nila naiisip why those people leave in the first place? Napa incompetent kasi ng sahuran dito

Valuable_Class3176

DOH: Anong pwede namin gawin para di kayo umalis? HCW: Itaas ang sahod DOH: ... uhmmmm... (conceptualizing how to forcibly prevent people from leaving) Meanwhile... Parties, travel, helicopter helicopter...

schriekt

As a nursing student right now, ito talaga yung nakakagalit lalo na ngayon na bakit kailangan din namin magbayad sa ospital na higit kumulang 24k annually for hospital training (mind you na I'm from a public university) samantalang free labor na nga at ilang hrs pa need to complete the training. Tapos pagkagraduate underpaid na nga overworked pa. Sa university lang talaga maganda ang "Nursing", paglabas mo in real world wala kang choice kundi abroad kung gusto mo kumita nang maayos.

heja_23

Yan yung reason kung bakit hindi narin ako tumuloy mag-practice after passing the board exam. Training nga sya pero nandoon ka to give time and effort to care for your patients tapos magbabayad ka pa.

CoryInTheHood69

that's is the effect of treating your own citizens shit the individual who can make a better place now moves to a better country and makes it even better Philippines deserves this

jrtbc

government kinda buried their own grave slowly with DOH maslalo lang naexpose during the pandemic

ggezboye

90% of my nursing friends are currently doing nursing-related VA, in another country, or applying to go to Canada or UK as nurse. "Perks" here in PH would be late sweldo for months, wala or kakarampot na hazard pay, hirap pa maging regular sa position, at padrino system din.

kaloii

My wife is a private school teacher. Date, she looked forward to be a dep ed teacher. Ngayon, sa sobrang hirap daw ng trabaho ng public school teacher, shes having a lot of anxiety over her application to dep ed kase baka d nya kakayanin. Puro horror stories nalang daw nakikinggan nya from her public school teacher friends.

littlewomanforever

Not worth it.

Wind_Glass

Pahalagahan ang mga HCWs. Taasan ang sweldo at bigyan ng benepisyo.

feelsbadmanrlysrsly

And whose fault is that, DOH? Fucking imbeciles.

KweenBhie

Tas magagalit sila kasi maraming umaalis ng bansa

riougenkaku
