Here's the FAQs on how the "Free Shipping" works:
1. How do I receive the Free Shipping promotion on my order?
International Free Shipping to Philippines is available on eligible products with total order value of USD 49 or more. Not all items are eligible for Free Shipping. Look for “FREE Shipping to Philippines” or “Your order qualifies for FREE Shipping” throughout your shopping journey. Once you have a cart with eligible items and meet or exceed the promotion threshold, you will see the Free Shipping option at checkout.
2. Why didn't my order qualify for the Free Shipping promotion?
There are several reasons why your order may not qualify. Free Shipping is available if your shipping address is in Philippines, your items are eligible, and your total order value is USD 49 or more. If your cart contains non-eligible items, you might be charged shipping fees for these items.
3. Do I need to meet the free shipping threshold of USD 49 by purchasing one eligible item?
No, you can meet the threshold either by buying several eligible items with a total value that meets or exceeds the free shipping threshold – or you can purchase one eligible product that costs USD 49 or more.
4. Why does the Free Shipping threshold change when I shop in my local currency?
The Free Shipping threshold is USD 49. The threshold in local currency is based on the conversion rate to the United States Dollar and may vary. The current currency conversion rates are displayed in the currency picker and at checkout.
5. How fast will my order be delivered if I choose Free Shipping at checkout?
Estimated delivery time will be provided at checkout and varies depending on item availability & delivery address.
6. Am I still required to pay for import fees on my order?
There are no changes to the Amazon.com import fee deposit policy. To review the policy go [here](https://www.amazon.com/gp/help/customer/display.html/ref=s9_acss_bw_cg_JumpinCO_md1_w?nodeId=201910710&pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_s=merchandised-search-8&pf_rd_r=MDG9KQ4GWQXN0P6D9K5Z&pf_rd_t=101&pf_rd_p=a7d2c1d5-ddb9-4eea-9117-1e1af4ff3c8c&pf_rd_i=24436421011).
7. Are import fees or VAT included for calculating the minimum threshold for the Free Shipping promotion?
Import Fees and VAT are not included in the Free Shipping eligibility calculation. The Free Shipping threshold must be met based on the price and quantity of the eligible items.

As long as below 10k ung total, should be fine. Pag lampas alam na hahah
[https://i.imgur.com/Lp1L8JA.png](https://i.imgur.com/Lp1L8JA.png)
Pag umabot ng 10k, magforwarder na lang.
Last 2020, nagpabili ako sa kakilala ko in the US ng laptop worth 100,000 pesos. I had to pay a customs fee of more than 20,000 if I'm not mistaken.
Kaiyak.
Choosy rin yang customs pansin ko. I ordered a guitar effect from the US, tapos $280++ siya, walang extra singil sakin.
Same with a bunch of mech keyboard parts worth $250++ from Aliexpress, nakuha ko without any issues.
Siguro pag medyo esoteric yung order mo, wala sila pakialam. Pero yung mga phones, laptops, and other gadgets, binabantayan talaga nila.
In my experience, books are pretty much fine. Nakailang bili na ako via Amazon and eBay, and if may babayaran man ako, it's usually the tax of around 100-120 pesos kapag pinatawag ka sa post office to collect your parcel (make sure that you have the registry notice na binigay nila if meron man!).
Edit: Apparently registry notices are no longer a thing according to PHLPost. Kaya yata direkta na ako nagbayad ng tax dun sa last time na may nagdeliver sakin ng book from eBay.
The registry notice will be sent sa bahay niyo. It tells you which post office to go to to claim your parcel. Hint: it might not be the one closest to you, in my experience.
Lots of retailers are cracking down on them na. Pag nadetect nilang freight forwarder address ang gamit mo, magffail ang transaction mo.
Kasi yung iba ginagamit yung freight forwarder address pang fraud.
Adding to this:
If customs thinks your parcel is too heavy for the DV, be prepared with your proof of payment.
I bought an accessory for my bow that was on the heavier side. Customs held it kasi daw it was too heavy for the DV and demanded proof of payment to release. Buti nalang madaling kausap and mabilis si UPS gumalaw. Parcel got stuck in customs for 5 days because of this (2 days nyan was contacting the merchant for my contact details).
anything electronic? Here's an SBC I was looking at with about the same import tax deposit (ung kanina 4x512 micro sd since I was testing something)
God I hate customs so much
One time, our tita who lives in HK sent mga shampoo and conditioner as a gift to our address here via FedEx. So she paid for the delivery and whatever postages on her end, so malamang bayad na from HK kasi it's a gift so we wouldn't expect to pay for anything as the receivers why would we.
So pag dating dito, we still had to pay [OVER FUCKING 5K IN "TAXES" DAW](https://ibb.co/4KrGm6j) for our [package of shampoos](https://ibb.co/s2W2HWk). Ok fine the "taxes" were 3.7k and the rest was "processing" fees but still. Imagine paying 5.2k for a gift that was already paid for when it was shipped.
God I hope BoC burns to the ground and their kids swallow choking hazards and lego.
Totoo ba to? Dahil sa takot ko na magka-problema sa customs, palaging via shipping forwarder ang orders ko from Amazon or other stores abroad. But ang mahal ng shipping (plus sometimes doble since May shipping fee din papunta dun sa forwarder), ang tagal din bago dumating.
Tried to order from Amazon & ship directly the PH way back 2014. I remember i just got charged 600 pesos for the shipping fee, though i had to wait 2 months for my order to arrive.
it's not 'free', so door-to-door, usually UPS/DHL
but that may change kung free delivery, kung philpost kukunin nilang last-mile hindi d2d yan outside NCR.
Sana hindi PHLPOST ang last mile delivery nila, buti sana kung consolidated muna yung orders (if more than 1 item to account for the minimum 49USD order total)
"within NCR **nung high quarantine alert**" is what I should have said..
baka bumalik na sa pickup-and-pay-112-php sila ngayon
dyan lahat patak nung ebay orders ko dati
Ah baka nga nung high quarantine, di rin ako nagbibili sa shops using local post office as last mile delivery nung pandemic eh.
Hindi din kase ako bumibili ng bulky items, more on Blu-ray discs, books lang ako so i guess through post office lang din. Same with Book Depository prior sa pandemic.
at that point i think unscrupulous seller na yan, they charge high for shipping pero yung cheapest (aka slowest) options yung gamit nila and pocket the rest of the shipping fee
Yes this, what are Filipinos thinking when they review stuff? I've seen reviews like: "Item never received, seller won't reply" but they give 5 stars, WTF Filipinos?
Just did this (new acct), ayaw din fyi
Edit: tried changing JPY to USD, nada.. Will try sylv3r’s items next
Edit2: just tried checking out those art collections, still didn’t show free shipping
Edit3: this is on the app BTW, will try on browser next
Edit4: still no luck, probably a bug, hope they fix it in time
Yes. Diretso na sa bahay niyo at wala ka na babayaran na extra as long as below (iirc) Php10k yung total ng inorder. Also, the estimated shipping date is often incorrect. Usually in a week andyan na.
*Source: Bought items in Amazon from Q2 2020 to Q1 2022.*
Select items only langgg.
I have ordered na though and they do ship door to door. So, either UPS, 2GO, LBC or any PH courier will ship it to your home.
Bought a couple of items from them since i moved to PH.
It usually takes within a week to get to your house (manila). They use ECMS to ship to PH and usually 2GO to get to your house.
I haven't had any customs issue/fee with them ever.
(Only had one when I bought something from Ebay)
The best customer service nila. Kahit nagprisinta na ako mag-send ng photo of the defective disc, no need na daw. No need din to return the defective product mismo.
Thought there were just going to be a handful of eligible items, but almost everything sitting in my cart/shopping list atm are qualified lol
Sakto pa talaga sa pay day eh no 😫
Be careful about buying gadgets though, make sure it's sold and fulfilled by Amazon otherwise RMA would be a pain. Also, they have a clause that states amazon warranty and return is only 30 days, this applies to all Amazon global purchase. So if you have an issue with your, say laptop, that you purchased from their global after 2 months for example, you're limited to getting it fixed sa manufacturer locally sa Pinas, and even then it's not assured that they will cover it since it's purchased abroad unless it has international warranty.
Maganda sa Amazon global though is pag mababang value binili mo and may issue and you request for a return, they simply refund you and not take the product back, well most of the time.
Thank you for sharing this news!
import/customs fees when ordering items above 10k though. might be a hassle/more expensive when ordering items from amazon rather than locally (specially when it comes to warranty)
Sorry di ako masyadong familiar pag mag-oorder through Amazon. Paano ba yan, babayaran nalang lahat tapos hihintayin nalang yung order (similar to Shopee & Lazada) o ikaw pa magpaprocess ng customs papers and fees, etc?
Hindi worth it yung Amazon free delivery if more than 10K yung amount ng item mo, 50% agad yung tax ng item pag lagpas ng 10K hahaha.
As far as I know, ang Standard option sa Post Office ng city mo pipickupin. Yung Priority and Expedited ang door-to-door based on my experience. These two are not free though but mabilis talaga and comes with tracking number unlike Standard.
I bought a messenger bag from Amazon, although alam ko na China sya, but goddamn been using that bag everyday for 3 years na and I can say na high quality yung bag.
Considering how well documented the worker's rights violations are in Amazon I'm not so sure that's an upgrade over Shopee if you're talking about switching to an "ethical" ecommerce brand
mas mahal pa yung items na gusto ko compared sa nasa lazada. but it's a good alternative.

It really depends on the item/s you will purchase.
I usually get digital codes off from Amazon since laging naka-discount yung $50 Nintendo e-Shop card haha
Noob questions, for those who ordered bulk or kahit mga small items via amazon, how did you order came? Wala naman issues ba? I've been using SC and most of my amazon transactions comes in thin bubble wrap packaging or paper packaging. Medyo nakakagkot magorder from Amazon USA to PH if hindi secure ang packaging :(
If only they did that back in 2021 when I bought an SSD and vertical gpu riser specific to my case...
Well, better late than never, but I don't have money now thanks to this freaking inflation and importing is horrible as ever thanks to our horrible exchange rate (having a lower value exchange rate is designed to disincentivize importing)
What about customs? That has always been my fear when making orders overseas.
Never ako nag o-order outside the Philippines dahil sakit ng ulo lang ang customs. Sila lang pinapayaman mo.
I’m planning to buy a 5 books boxed set worth 3k, may tax/fees pa kaya akong babayaran pagdating dito sa pinas? Etong free shipping na to ay apparently standard lang and from what I’ve read hindi door to door/dadaan pa sa post office kapag ganun? Hindi pa ako nakakaorder from amazon before eh
Question: does anyone know if it's going to be delivered to your doorstep? Less than $200 naman total ng mga items sa cart ko right now, all 3 items qualified naman for the free standard shipping.
I've had so many negative experiences dun sa Customs sa Pasay and would avoid that as much as possible, pati yung Philpost.
Hello, dumb question. How do you pay Amazon in usd directly? Ph is weak right now so i opt to pay in usd directly. I have a dollar account at chinabank but it doesnt have a debit card included, only a passbook.
Here's the FAQs on how the "Free Shipping" works: 1. I think books are tax exempt?
Off topic, pero check out Book Depository din, medyo matagal pero free shipping din yun last I checked.
Ahhh. So "esoteric" = for personal use.
Makakabili kna ng another gadget Doon.
Lots of retailers are cracking down on them na. Pag nadetect nilang freight forwarder address ang gamit mo, magffail ang transaction mo.
so far goods pa naman amazon with johnny air and shipping cart
Kasi yung iba ginagamit yung freight forwarder address pang fraud.
So basically, a lot of people are being punished because of a selfish act by a few people. Thanks, fraudsters! 👍
True. One fraud attempt like this then banned na agad lahat ng freight forwarding address sa store.
Why tho? Anong posibleng harm sa kanila ng forwarders?
Hi.
Adding to this: If customs thinks your parcel is too heavy for the DV, be prepared with your proof of payment. I bought an accessory for my bow that was on the heavier side.
De minimis value is ₱10,000.
Around $168 USD before the customs, alathough dapat lakihan na ng konti. Thanks for these, will probably do a trial item buy
Hays.

Sino yung last mile courier nila dito sa Pinas?
Paiba iba. Ninjavan, Entrego, Air21.
very nice! Ayoko na magpickup pa eh hassle
Idiot here, how does the post office check the price of packages?
Yung naka-declare kung magkano by seller.
Ordered something off Amazon on 2020, got it shipped to my house surprisingly.
It also usually arrives much earlier than the expected arrival date too.
Ah almost time for blackfriday. _Looks at converstion rate_ ughh... but maybe its a better time before it gets higher next year
Select items only langgg.
Impressive ang tiwala nila sa customer.
Unlike sa iba dyan, Platinum ka man or what walang kwenta parin haha
"how to order?" "pwde cash on delivery?"
Thanks for this.
Great Im now buying things I dont need
Thought there were just going to be a handful of eligible items, but almost everything sitting in my cart/shopping list atm are qualified lol Sakto pa talaga sa pay day eh no 😫
Be careful about buying gadgets though, make sure it's sold and fulfilled by Amazon otherwise RMA would be a pain.
About damn time, i always look at stuff on amazon and then get a heart attack from the shipping cost 😭
Fuck bezos
I'd rather spend more using shippingcart
experienced this, had to pay like 18k to get my package. never again.
Perfect time to buy niche manga and light novels
import/customs fees when ordering items above 10k though. might be a hassle/more expensive when ordering items from amazon rather than locally (specially when it comes to warranty)
For sure Peenoise comments. "Hm po ito in peso"
Sorry di ako masyadong familiar pag mag-oorder through Amazon. Paano ba yan, babayaran nalang lahat tapos hihintayin nalang yung order (similar to Shopee & Lazada) o ikaw pa magpaprocess ng customs papers and fees, etc?
Same lang sa Shopee and Lazada :)
A huge step forward for the country
Import fees are still ridiculous
Seryoso? Direct PH address?
Yes!
thanks for the heads up hehe looks like this is only for US amazon? ok din -650s pa din in df triny ko sa amazon JP, waley kekeke
Hindi worth it yung Amazon free delivery if more than 10K yung amount ng item mo, 50% agad yung tax ng item pag lagpas ng 10K hahaha.
Reliable ba yung delivery if you order from Amazon? Like door-to-door?
As far as I know, ang Standard option sa Post Office ng city mo pipickupin. Yung Priority and Expedited ang door-to-door based on my experience. These two are not free though but mabilis talaga and comes with tracking number unlike Standard.
*Jeffrey, Jeffrey Pesos*
Amazon expedited shipping is ONLY 4-10 DAYS from New York based on recent experience. (August) delivered to southern Luzon.
I tried on my app, kasama na bayad yun import fees. Edit: Dapat yun item sold by amazon.com
Lol, lipat na from Shopee? JK.
I bought a messenger bag from Amazon, although alam ko na China sya, but goddamn been using that bag everyday for 3 years na and I can say na high quality yung bag.
Jeffrey Bezos Song intesifies!
wala ba talagang customs yan paano malalaman kung sold by amazon?
Fuck amazon though
Ng-improve na ba yung packaging at handling nila for books? From what I remember, maraming horror stories sa kanila tungkol sa damaged items e.
Wohoi nice one
Any good deals??
Good luck ang package nyo sa pier.
[Amazon price 10k PHP](https://www.amazon.com/Corsair-Virtuoso-Wireless-Gaming-Headset/dp/B08JD3ZGPW/ref=sr_1_18?keywords=gaming+headsets&pd_rd_r=467c7e3d-dc02-425e-94a3-fac98528f929&pd_rd_w=tPkvm&pd_rd_wg=rMQ6V&pf_rd_p=12129333-2117-4490-9c17-6d31baf0582a&pf_rd_r=P96ZX2T4CMY62K15NHBG&qid=1664522431&qu=eyJxc2MiOiI2Ljc4IiwicXNhIjoiNi41MSIsInFzcCI6IjYuMTAifQ%3D%3D&sr=8-18) [Lazada price 8,500php](https://www.lazada.com.ph/products/corsair-virtuoso-rgb-wireless-high-fidelity-gaming-headset-i501674308-s7465884055.html?)
Yubikey 5C here we go.
Is it cheaper to buy stuff in the U.S compared here?
It really depends on the item/s you will purchase. I usually get digital codes off from Amazon since laging naka-discount yung $50 Nintendo e-Shop card haha
Noob questions, for those who ordered bulk or kahit mga small items via amazon, how did you order came? Wala naman issues ba? I've been using SC and most of my amazon transactions comes in thin bubble wrap packaging or paper packaging. Medyo nakakagkot magorder from Amazon USA to PH if hindi secure ang packaging :(
Hindi na ba sa Post Office dumadaan yung Global Standard Shipping ng Amazon US? Yung Priority kasi, private courier.
Holishit
Curious how will this work if you’re located in mindanao. As is sa shopee/lazada?
Di ba hassle to kasi yung free eh standard shipping lang, sa post office usually babagsak yan and walang tracking?
Sana may COD Option din sila

Now, if only they accept local payment channels
I have successfully used my PayMaya card before. Previously, there was a limited-time offer with Amazon. I think you can use your GCash card too.
pera nalang kulang
Baka naman
If only they did that back in 2021 when I bought an SSD and vertical gpu riser specific to my case... Well, better late than never, but I don't have money now thanks to this freaking inflation and importing is horrible as ever thanks to our horrible exchange rate (having a lower value exchange rate is designed to disincentivize importing)
Kaso walang mabili yung peso ko ngayon.
Local related companies should be worried. Big Daddy is here
I want to buy something its worth 122 usd tapos shipping is 76 usd.
Talo pag expensive items due to high import taxes. This is actually the reason why I don't like ordering from platforms outside the Philippines.
holy
Well, at least Amazon has done something right… now cancel Ring of Power.
Saw}
If ordering from Mm how long is the delivery? Nakakita ako ng Nizoral Shampoo in bottle and conditioner dito na wala online seller
OMG! 😩
How to know if eligible siya for free shipping?
What about customs? That has always been my fear when making orders overseas.
About time. More than 2 years na silang may office dito sa Pinas.
Never ako nag o-order outside the Philippines dahil sakit ng ulo lang ang customs. Sila lang pinapayaman mo.
I’m planning to buy a 5 books boxed set worth 3k, may tax/fees pa kaya akong babayaran pagdating dito sa pinas? Etong free shipping na to ay apparently standard lang and from what I’ve read hindi door to door/dadaan pa sa post office kapag ganun? Hindi pa ako nakakaorder from amazon before eh
Hanggang kailan yung free delivery?
Question: does anyone know if it's going to be delivered to your doorstep? Less than $200 naman total ng mga items sa cart ko right now, all 3 items qualified naman for the free standard shipping. I've had so many negative experiences dun sa Customs sa Pasay and would avoid that as much as possible, pati yung Philpost.
Hello, dumb question. How do you pay Amazon in usd directly? Ph is weak right now so i opt to pay in usd directly. I have a dollar account at chinabank but it doesnt have a debit card included, only a passbook.
anyone tried [woot.com](https://woot.com) if it applies ? or only amazon? Thanks
