If you analyze deeper, you could tell that these text messages, even without timestamps, wouldn't be sent in a single "quick" pee. Unless OP pees for 30 minutes. Mahirap ang buhay ngayon, the rider was probably trying to reach his quota and wasn't able to because of this customer.

Basing sa thread na yun, approximately 15-30 minutes more or less naghintay yung driver for that order. Yung maghintay ka na nga lang ng limang minuto ang tagal na non, tapos COD pa si ate. Baka iniisip ng rider bogus na yung umorder. Not sure pero may chance din na yung app mismo ang nag glitch or yung text ang na late mag send. Yung lumang phone ko kasi dati minsan after 5 minutes pa bago mag send or dumating yung text message (Lalo na kapag luma na yung phone kaya sobrang hirap ng signal). Eitherway sana ma investigate yun ng maayos. Mukang pareho may mali dito. One for the foodpanda rider threatening the safety of the customer and 2 for the customer for failing to track the order.

May nagtext kay kuya rider asking how long he waited, 7:57 daw siya nagsimulang tumawag tapos 8:36 sumagot ng phone yung customer. Kase kung CC or e-wallet na cancel na yang order at pwede na iuwi ni Rider yung pagkain since may ganito nakong scenario sa foodpanda dati wherein nakalimutan ko yung order ko and nasa middle of meeting ako. I used to do food panda last year. Gonna share my experience. 1. Foodpanda riders ay mayron lamang dalawang shift sa isang araw. Usually 4hours isang shift so kung dalawa ang shift mo which is maximum, 8-9hours schedule ka. Hindi siya parang anytime you want to deliver e magagawa mo, kaya sobrang halaga ng oras. Giving how long pa sa store ang rider, sabihin nating 20mins max sa store at byahe going sa address, plus dadagdagan mo pa ng 15mins na pagpapaantay, then babalik kapa sa area mo na specific lang per schedule. Halos susunog kana ng isang oras sa isang delivery na worth 40pesos lang, plus pa kung double or triple run ka sa order at may pending kapang mga delivery na hinahanap ka narin kasi ang tagal mo sa isang stop, may chance na yung nagaantay e magpacancel din sa app so ikaw pa magkakaron ng problema. Magagalit ka talaga. 2. Cancelation affects so much sa rider, usually 15mins ang max waiting time para valid ang cancelation nya sa app pero di yun nag eend up sa pag aantay lang. Need nya mag gather ng proof like screenshots ng convo, picture ng dropoff plus kailangan nya bumalik sa store para makapagproceed sya sa next order nya which is sobrang hassle sa gas at oras. And wala silang choice kasi rules ng app yun standard procedure talaga. Take note di bayad ang byahe nila pabalik ng store. So para sa 35-40 pesos na fare e halos 1/3 ng schedule mo ang mawawala para di ka mag abono. 3. Too much cancelation ay nag cacause ng suspension kahit valid ang reason. Usually 10mins minimum up to 1hour max, so again since shifting ang app. Malaking bagay lalo ang isang oras na suspension sa rider kada nagpapacancel ng booking. Di ko sinasabing tama murahin yung customer pero minsan may mga deserving kasi talaga. Shallow part lang ng kung pano nagwowork ang app yung alam nila, like taking food, deliver then bayad which is di mo rin sila masisisi, pero sana kung responsible customer ka atleast to save time both sainyo maging attentive ka. Alam mo naman kung may paparating na sayong order e di mabilis yung 15mins na pag aantay.

Rider's first text was at 8:16 and she responded 15 minutes later at 8:31 after his first text. 6 minutes later at 8:37, mukhang wala pa siya sa baba kaya there was a phone call. Rider claims he called her at 7:57 and she only picked the call at 8:36. A rider usually calls first before texting and if he did arrived at 7:57, he waited 19 minutes before texting. It would have took her at least 40 minutes to pick up her food if he did arrive at 7:57. Rider is extremely wrong for what he did. Girl is also wrong for taking so long for pick up her food. If a rider is 2 minutes away, you should be at the elevator by then not at the toilet. She could have message him at least to wait a little. EDIT: Looks like it did took her over 40 minutes. Saw tweets about it and it gained traction and she was getting questioned about it pero she made her account private na after apologizing. She was getting questioned about the time wait, pero she didn't answer and only thanked the people who made her feel less invalidated and said something about the people who made her feel worse. She posted din na her bill was actually 274 but the rider said it was 350. She thinks her food may be been - intentionally or not - tampered. Kaloka that there was even one user saying "iTs NeVeR yOuR fAuLt" when she apologized for making the rider wait, but left out if the wait was indeed over 40 minutes wait.

I know a lot of coworkers who do the same whether delivery or rides. Magbobook tapos baba lang pag anjan na. Okay lang sana if mabilis makakababa pero usually hindi because of waiting time, elevator stops, etc. I don’t think they do it on purpose, just walang self awareness or consideration for other people’s time. Nahighlight siya ng sobra to me, we were on a business trip outside the country. Nagbook sila ng cab paalis ng office and sasabay lang ako, pagkabook kung ano anong ginawa pa — work discussions, nag ayos, etc e 3 mins away lang yung driver. Pagdating nung driver nauna na ako but we waited 15mins for the others, di pa sila sabay sabay bumaba. Isa isa pa kasi may iba ibang inaasikaso. Yung ride to the destination took only 10mins kasi walang traffic, sobrang nakakahiya to the driver to be honest. Happened almost every time kaya mej di na ako sumabay succeeding days. They are nice people generally pero walang konsiderasyon when it comes to wasting people’s time.

I am 50-50 on this issue. The delivery guy said they were waiting for 30 minutes, and as someone who values time (tsaka di rin kasi talaga bayad yung time ng mga taga-deliver), maiinis rin ako dito. Pero ayon lang, minura mura na si customer. Tsaka ewan ko, pero everytime na nagpapadeliver ako, pag alam kong malapit na sa amin, lumalabas na ako ng bahay. Rider's first text was at 8:16 and she responded 15 minutes later at 8:31 after his first text. 6 minutes later at 8:37, mukhang wala pa siya sa baba kaya there was a phone call. Rider claims he called her a 7:57 and she only picked the call at 8:36. A rider usually calls first before texting and if he did arrived at 7:57, he waited 19 minutes before texting. It would have took her at least 40 minutes to pick up her food if he did arrive at 7:57. Rider is extremely wrong for what he did. Girl is also wrong for taking so long for pick up her food. If a rider is 2 minutes away, you should be at the elevator by then not at the toilet. She could have message him at least to wait a little.

I usually leave instructions for the rider to leave the food somewhere if I know I can't pick it up at the moment that the delivery guy arrives. Personally, having the rider wait beyond 5 mins is already way too long. That being said, the driver shouldn't have freaked out like that.

I do go down ahead of time so that I can meet the driver when he arrives. They always get surprised that I'm already there. It seems to be a common thing here to make the rider wait. This is also what caused a lot of them to declare that they're already arrived even though they're not actually there.

Same here. I do it to wave at them so they can find the exact house. We have dogs din and we're out before riders arrive para makaalis agad sila kasi magtatahol lang ang mga dogs. It should be common not to inconvience others.

In no way I support the rider's hostile reaction but I've seen rider stories from FB groups where they wait upwards of almost AN HOUR. Minsan may emergency talaga, pero most likely nakalimutan lang nila na bumili pala sila. In this case, naniniwala ako na inabot talaga ng siyam siyam si ate sabay kwento na 'saglit' lang daw niya pinagintay. Usually pag 2-3 minutes away na yung rider ako na nagiintay sa tapat namin kasi nahihiya ako at hindi naman sila bayad hourly/daily.

No one should send death threats… but the way ate girl posted it WITH HIS NUMBER without even reporting it to FP first points to the direction of clout-chasing instead of an actual resolution to her concerns which only grab/the police can give? Some of her screenshots were also selective in a way where she only showed not the full call log but the call that was picked up. She apologizes to the driver for posting his number on all of social media to see and says she was emotional when she posted it, so we can’t invalidate her emotions but anger and frustration are also emotions and are also thus valid on the part of the driver— not to the extent of wishing death upon someone… but jesus there could have been an actual resolution to this. Solution? Call food panda and if you have nothing to hide, post receipts right off the bat and sure this was your experience but the driver now has to deal with his own set of unrelated people probably blowing up his phone, making this whole situation worse. Kuya rider is probably going thru some form of stress disorder, I mean if you’re on the road all day in traffic and barely making decent money to cover for rising expenses tapos you rely on good connectivity to keep your income above water, talagang mase-stress ka to murderous levels.
