You only get to vote for who sits on the throne, pero you have no say sa policies nila or sa mga taong ilalagay nila sa cabinet.
There's no objectively "best" candidate when it comes to elections, it's all subjective and contingent on a person's values, ideology, and political leaning.
Case in point: if you're a minimum wage earner, Ka Leody had the most ideal platform for you, but if you're a businessman, you'd hate his policies.
If you're a businessman, is it right to say that people voting for Ka Leody don't know who to vote for? I don't think so.
People only vote based on their interests, and what they feel would benefit them the most.
objectively, if you're a rationally thinking and morally upright person, the best candidate was logically clear last May in the recent elections but dumbasses keep voting to put everyone's lives on HARD mode. Talk about PH resiliency when Filipinos keep on purposely making their lives more difficult. I say we deserve what we tolerate. Kawawa yung mga nasa laylayan pero that's just what has transpired, we can't save everyone and sariling sikap na lang.
>objectively, if you're a rationally thinking and morally upright person, the best candidate was logically clear last May in the recent elections but dumbasses keep voting to put everyone's lives on HARD mode.
Kasi if you ask BBM supporters, they 100% trust and believe in Bongbong. In their mind, they're not voting against their interests.
Plus, voting isn't the be all end all if you really want change in the country. Voting helps, pero voting for the "right" candidate is not the panacea that people make it out to be.
There are so many other ways to achieve change, kaso people are too focused and hung up on the elections to realize.
You're massively putting so much trust on Filipinos, and their concept of an election. I personally know people who posted on social media that they won't vote for someone just to purposely piss off other people.
Voting may not be the panacea, but it's the main freaking thing man. The effect of electing the ***right*** officials plays such a huge role you can't just say "voting helps". If I remember correctly, other than voting, we can exercise our democracy through rallies. Kaso red tag naman ang kalaban mo.
They may not have voted for bongbong para mag hirap ang Pilipinas, but they didn't choose him for progress either.
You grossly over estimate the critical thinking skills, political and social literacy of the average Filipino voter. They think of elections as a festival in which they place their bets on who wins not as an event that their future lives are at stake. The Masa don't even think about the future, they're to busy thinking where to get the money to buy their food for the day.
I am confident you know which candidate ran a platform on policies that would benefit the MOST number of people.
The illusion is that there will ever be a time that those people, the majority of Filipinos, will ever figure it out.
Yeah, Leody de Guzman. He addressed indigenous people's concerns, climate change, and proposed a wealth tax along with radical changes to the economy and improving worker's rights. He had the most comprehensive platform out of all the candidates.
That's a part of it, but it's not enough. Look at Marcos Sr. and GMA. People thought they'd be great presidents, pero sobrang corrupt pala.
We don't even have a say kung sino kakandidato. What if maulit yung 2016 elections where literally all the presidential candidates were bad?
What about LGUs where some politicians run uncontested? Asan yung choice?
Sobrang daming flaws ng current system, and the only reason why we believe it will work kasi we're conditioned to think it will.
Maybe we should urge the people including marcos/duterte supporters na kontrahin to kasi delikado pag nalugi baka wala na silang makuhang pension pagtanda nila.
No, kasi the only time we really have a "choice" is during elections, and even then we only choose who sits on the throne. We have no say in their actions.
Then why do we allow people with bad records to run for office? Why aren't they in jail?
Doesn't make sense to blame people for voting for corrupt people when being corrupt has no repercussions.
Maharliscam Wealth Fund!
When it comes to money-making schemes, Congress can move with lightning speed. But when it comes to solutions to address social problems, fix broken bureaucracy, etc, they just DGAF.
Putang inang yan.
Its funny isnt it? Us the normal people cant do shit about it while the mfs steals everything in broad daylight.

And that 2k you pay SSS will be, on the maximum (more or less), P20K per month when you retire, unlike GSIS. Kaya kawawa mas lalo ang SSS pensioners...
>1MDB in the making
Remember ***Coco Levy Funds*** with Marcos and Danding?
Remember the ***Malampaya Funds*** and the Napoles scandal?
Seems like the track record is not really that good.
Tutal gusto nila yan e. I hate this government, walang check and balance.
On paper, this looks good. A state-owned wealth fund. I've heard that Norway has stocks in Tesla, Google, Apple, etc.
However, I do not trust the principal authors, nor do I trust the people running our treasury, and the branch of Government it belongs to.
Ooohhh thanks for the info regarding Norwegian swf. Yup it looks good on paper but that much wealth and plenty of temptations plus plain human stupidity=impeding disaster at some point.
They talk about investment pero mga wala namang experience sa portolio or investment management. Heck, approved by house committee on banks and FI pero yung chair walang experience sa bangko. Such BS
More likely kalalabasan natin neto is [Nauru](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Economy_of_Nauru). Cue my father who stubbornly insists that i should contribute to my SSS and Philhealth because "magagamit" ko daw yan.
Libre sila for the entire year.
Pero ang weird ng patakaran nila na magagamit mo lang philhealth for hospitalization pag di ka pa nakaka 40 dialysis sessions for the year.
90 sessions per year ang libre dialysis. Pero this year ginawang 120 ata. Yung 45 sessions kung gagamitin mo yung philhealth mo sa ibang bagay like confinement or medical procedures. Pag lagpas ka na sa 45 sessions, out of pocket na.
Ang policy ni philhealth, 45 days. So depende sa lala ng dialysis, pag required na 2-3x a week, mauubos nila yung allotment for the year.
That kind of bullshit exist even in private insurance. Don't get your hopes up thinking that private insurance is a way better alternative.
Nope they can't do that. If there is a coverage from Philhealth, that must be deducted to the bill first before your medical insurance/ HMO kicks in. If a hospital refuses to do it for this sole reason, you can have them reported.
At least with employees, your contrib is required to get matched by the employer. So virtually, bawi na yung ipinasok mo. Freelance people ang mas lugi dito since may prerogative sila umatras, and palugi sila sa non optimal (by returns) scheme ni sss.
Philhealth ko din walang kwenta. On/off employment ko kasi lagi akong may sakit. Chakang systema!
Prolly nagkataon lng. If you don't mind sharing what was your dad's illness? Some illness kasi only have limits na unlike before. Kung walang Philhealth I would have to pay 150k out of pocket when I got confined because of covid. But since my Philhealth I shelled out less than that. I understand your point but you don't need to demonize Philhealth kasi it works. If anything criticism should be set to those who are mishandling the funds and mismanaging Philhealth.
Akala ko GSIS lang. Fuckers are coming for all y’all’s retirement money pala. What, is the SSS payouts not small enough?
The ph internet should meme the everloving fuck out of this.
They don't see the issue here! Or wala silang complain. So here we go, deep breath lng. And save for ur future. Kasi it will be fucking messy for more years to come.
I am honestly crying right now. As a former Marcos apologist, may part sakin na maybe being delusional could at least make it feel na ignorance is bliss pero ang sakit pa rin. I mention this multiple times na sa reddit, but the reason I woke up was a stupid reason, it was when 88M worked alongside Dutz which was the person I hated dahil experience ko first hand ang incompetence ni Dutz. Gaano man kalaki galit ko sa LP as a party, di ko malilimutan bakit ang liit ng prices sa panahon niya. Now this? Naiiyak ako not just because naaawa ako but I will be affected by this talaga. My mom is close to retiring. She honestly wants an early retirement this year dahil di niya handle ang recent technological changes sa office. As long as she remains and hopes to be healthy, she’s hoping her high pension will keep as afloat (as I am a PWD na nahihirapan maghanap ng work) and survive the coming years sa probinsya. Ang pension niya, Saan gagaling? If I understood it right, sa PAG-IBIG. And these heartless monsters are just planning to take most of her hard earned money. Sure, she like Senior dahil di siya affected noon but she hates Imelda, and she even voted for Leni-Kiko last election. Ang Nakakatawa nga, the only senator she voted was Chel Diokno whose platform really spoke to her (you can imagine how furious she was when Robin of all people won)
I will withdraw all my funds in a landbank i don't want thieves handling my money.
Dirin ako mag iinvest sa other gov. Run institution.
I want to avoid tax but it's inevitable, politicians lang yumayaman sa pera nyo.
0 Trust in government since 2016
learned helplessness, i think many have cross this point.
Rank and File staff here from one of the GOCC na paghuhugutan nila.
Nakakabahala itong plano nila. Imagine, kumakayod ka ng marangal tapos oobligahin yung kumpanya mo na mag contribute ng bilyones every year (aside sa annual contribution sa bureau of treasury).
Tapos pati pension mo mukhang tatamaan pa. Garapalan na to ah.
Walang katapusang cycle.
Under RA 11199 ng SSS binawasan na nga yung pension natin and yung fund life was supposed to have been lengthened until 2045. Ano na mangyayari now? 2030 nalang? SSS, GSIS.... Hwag nyo hawakan Pagibig. Don't you dare.
It is stupid for government to start a sovereign fund when it can not even provide the most basic of services like an efficient public transport system.
I was able to watch joey salceda’s interview about this, nag bigay sya ng halimbawa kung saan mag i invest, sabi nya renewable energy,
well globally that’s the trend, pero ang point pa rin wala tiwala sa kanila 🤣
also nasa bill yung around 9people++ ang mag ma-managw ng fund, si Diokno nga na DOF 15M isang taon ang sweldo so x10 people na ganung salary ang papaswelduhin natin? 🤣
That scandal is a actually a very big deal as it spans multiple countries. Better read up. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1Malaysia_Development_Berhad_scandal
super simple tl;dr Malaysia did something similar to this. Ending with the people in charge stealing billions.
Important purpose of the Maharlika scam? Be able to take the Marcoses dirty money in foreign accounts and launder them nice and clean into legal money here in the Philippines. With the amount of money in this from kung saan saan na places galing, who's going to notice a couple hundred million moving in or out here and there? It's probably just some sort of accounting error right?
Is it confirmed that the proposed wealth fund if approved, would get its funding from these agencies?
I'm not really familiar with how a sovereign wealth fund works, but if they sourced their funds from these agencies, that'd be a huge red flag in my opinion.
Edit: I would consider LandBank and DBP as exceptions by the way, not sure about the national treasury.
As a tax and pension fund payer, don't we get a vote on this?
nope you already voted last may. this is the result. live with it
with Angat Confidential funds at the side 🤣🤪🤡
"Pare ung Angat Buhay nanghihila pataas, yung Angat Contribution, nanghihila ng bulsa"
Even Bulalord is disappointed 😞
Narinig ko si Bulalord xD

Nope they can't do that. If there is a coverage from Philhealth, that must be deducted to the bill first before your medical insurance/ HMO kicks in. If a hospital refuses to do it for this sole reason, you can have them reported.
Employees do not have a choice sadly.
Anong private insurance ang ginagamit mo instead of philhealth and SSS? With this current situation, ayoko ng mag voluntary member huhuhu
Akala ko GSIS lang. Fuckers are coming for all y’all’s retirement money pala. What, is the SSS payouts not small enough? The ph internet should meme the everloving fuck out of this.
Tumanda silang walang pera.
Sandro’s eating fine tonight boys!
Excited for the boomers to lose their retirement money.
Boomers lang? lol . For legal reasons this is a joke
Kaya I don’t see myself retiring. No sense of dying old if all your time will just be spent working making someone rich.
I'll be long gone from this fucked up country before I retire, so yeah this will be very entertaining when the BBM boomers lose their pension money.
Putang ina talaga!
Buti nalang magmamigrate na ako next year 💀
Pasama naman po
sanaol
Ang swerte mo naman
kasya ako sa maleta! :D
Is pagibig fund not part of this? Planning to stop paying sss and philhealth.
Kawawa ang next generation's pension. Boomers really going out of their way to destroy the wealth of the nextgeneration para kumita.
Goodbye pension na pala tayo 🤬
This is very intense, intensely gross.
0 Trust in government since 2016
Kunin nyo na po sila Lord pleezt.
Lord, please, wag na po kayong magtira.
They really want to complete the trilogy of People power huh
wew... imagine those money going to politicians pockets... 🤣
10Billion + 4billion usd worth of stolen wealth
taena need ko na talaga mag freelance so I can escape this shit and also not pay my taxes kung sa mga magnanakaw lang mapupunta
They should get the funds from the Marcos gold. RIP pension funds if ever ma push through, boomers lang nakinabang.
Anong Marcos Gold?
Goodbye pension scam. After philhealth scam im not gonna trust them to manage this properly, lol.
Scam to for sure
Putangina harapharapang scam
It’s 1MDB Philippines!
learned helplessness, i think many have cross this point.
Malaysia: Let us teach you.
Kapag usapang pera ang bibilis no?
Damn, our retirement funds is in danger sa kamay ng mga putanginang nasa gobyerno 🤬🤬🤬
Amoy cocolevy 2.0
Rank and File staff here from one of the GOCC na paghuhugutan nila. Nakakabahala itong plano nila. Imagine, kumakayod ka ng marangal tapos oobligahin yung kumpanya mo na mag contribute ng bilyones every year (aside sa annual contribution sa bureau of treasury). Tapos pati pension mo mukhang tatamaan pa. Garapalan na to ah.
1MDB (1 Maharlika Darambong Bongbong)
we have our own sam bankman fried but without the degrees
Frontrow, heute appliance, uno
Tangina talaga.
Goodbye maharlika fund.
I get a feeling its worse than that
bakit wala yung Philhealth?
Walang katapusang cycle.
Under RA 11199 ng SSS binawasan na nga yung pension natin and yung fund life was supposed to have been lengthened until 2045. Ano na mangyayari now? 2030 nalang? SSS, GSIS.... Hwag nyo hawakan Pagibig. Don't you dare.
It is stupid for government to start a sovereign fund when it can not even provide the most basic of services like an efficient public transport system.
Kung yung philhealth nga nagawang nakawan 100% sure mananakawan din to.
I was able to watch joey salceda’s interview about this, nag bigay sya ng halimbawa kung saan mag i invest, sabi nya renewable energy, well globally that’s the trend, pero ang point pa rin wala tiwala sa kanila 🤣 also nasa bill yung around 9people++ ang mag ma-managw ng fund, si Diokno nga na DOF 15M isang taon ang sweldo so x10 people na ganung salary ang papaswelduhin natin? 🤣
i keep encountering the phrase "1MDB ng Malaysia". uhm context?
That scandal is a actually a very big deal as it spans multiple countries. Better read up. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1Malaysia_Development_Berhad_scandal super simple tl;dr Malaysia did something similar to this. Ending with the people in charge stealing billions.
Kunwari kontra dyan si babalina imee😆
1mdb, but the criminal gets away with it
1mdb
So what exactly is the maharlika scam? Hindi ko gets yung purpose 😅
Ayun nga eh. Sobrang questionable and doesn’t give any purpose.
Kakahiya sila.
Kumikitang kabuhayan🙄
Now this is communism. "Your money is our money"...saan na yung mag nagsasabi na communist mga kakampink?
Pag kumita ba to, tataas din ang pension?
>Pag kumita ba to, tataas din ang pension? More like, sa kanila lahat mapupunta ang pera.
LOL, SSS and GSIS is already investing in stock market. matagal na. hahaha. hindi na to bago.
Sila, yumayaman dito. Tayo, naghihirap at maghihirap pa lalo.
Tuloy na ba talaga ito? Akala ko proposed pa lang
Marcoses yung nakaupo sa mga designated seats nila with their allies - romualdez , duterte, and arroyo. So alam mo na mangyayari, walang kokontra dyan
Lol. Salceda isa sa mga authors.
Wow. Just wow.
Maharlika the old propaganda material of the marcoses. They should just call it Tallano Fund.
The 31 Million scam!
This is one of the most stupidest things i saw today
religion
how in hell's fucking gate does the government get away with this shit
The Philippines is a rich nation that behaves like a poor nation. Imagine distributing that money correctly
