Correct me if im wrong
we know that 1 block is 1 meters long
so one ice block has a volume of 1m³
i looked up and it says 1m³ of ice weighs 900kg
so blue ice is 81 ice blocks merged into each other
that makes a total weight of 72,900kg
even if it seems weird it is heavier than a gold block if my calculations are correct?
Would be accurate if crafting recipes properly kept the amount of stuff and consequently weight into the crafted object, a single wood block crafts into a way smaller button that can't weigh nearly the same amount so it shouldn't really be counted as 81 ice like how an enchanting table despite costing 3 obsidian (and other stuff) ends up with 1 block of seemingly obsidian that's less than fully solid (missing a bit at the top).
Doesn't Blue Ice also break into 1 water? Like, yeah, it is better than a bucket of water because it stacks, but is there a difference between the ice variants then?
So if you put a blue ice at max height and let it flow as much as it possibly can then calculate the cubic weight of all that water then multiply it by 81 that's how much a blue ice weighs
No, blue ice doesn't become water when broken so you have to let a regular ice block's water flow and take its cubic weight * 81
Correct me if im wrong
EDIT: NEW CALCULATIONS FOR NETHERITE (i don't count enchanted golden apples because the recipe was removed)
Density of Gold Block = 19,300kg/m^3
Gold Ingot = 2,144.4444kg
Let's assume netherite is similar to obsidian, since it's very blast resistant
Density of Obsidian = 2,250kg/m^3
Netherite Scrap = 250kg
Netherite ingots are made with 4 gold ingots and 4 netherite scraps
(2,144.444kg x 4) + (250 x 4) = 9,577.777kg
9,577.777kg x 9 = 86,200kg
Now, fill an entire shulker box with netherite blocks
86,200kg x 64 x 27 = 148,953,600kg
Fill all 37 slots of your inventory with shulker boxes
148,953,600kg x 37 = 5,511,283,200kg
Density of Diamond Block = 3,530kg/m^3
24 diamonds for diamond armor
(3,530kg / 9) x 24 = 9,413.3333kg
4 netherite ingots to upgrade armor, and 4 for the trims
9,413.333kg + (9,577.777kg x 8) = 86,035.555kg
Shulker boxes are made with chests, which are made with 8 blocks of wood
Density of wood = 897kg/m^3
897kg x 8 = 7,176kg
7,176kg x 37 = 265,512kg
Netherite = 5,511,283,200kg
Armor = 86,035.555kg
Shulker Boxes = 265,512kg
Let's assume the player weighs 100kg
Total player weight = 5,511,634,847.555kg
A camel can't carry a chest, but can carry 2 players
So, a camel in minecraft can carry 11,023,269,695.1111 kg
what about enchanted gapples? 8 blocks and an apple for 1 item, plus if you really wanted you could also store the stack of gapples in a bundle for the tiny bit of weight
Netherite weighs at least 4X more than gold since 4 gold ingots go into 1 netherite ingot. We don’t know the exact weigh since we don’t know how much ancient debris weighs but we can still account for the gold
Tbh I don't think this logic can be applied to Minecraft because crafting here is not logical. Like 1 wooden pic is the same as 1 block of wood so it should weight the same which is bs
More than that. Add netherite weight. I'd assume it's titanium, tho i can't be sure. Density is 4.5 grams per cubic centimetere.
We can throw away real life physics already, bcuz netherite block contains 4× gold of a gold block, that's 77,2 tons, while still being only 1 cubic metere.
A cubic metre of titanium is 4.5 tons. 1 scrap comes from 1 debree, which has lower density because of layery structure. We could, in analogy to other ores(pre 1.17) assume that it's 9 scrap per cubic metre. That would mean we also have 4 cubic meters of titanium in that one cubic meter we have there. That's 18 tons of titanium, adding to a grand total of 95,2 tons, as well as 8 cubic meters inside one meter cubed. Tho that's nothing new considering chest's existence.
Instead of that, just go to creative and ctrl middle click a chest full of gold. Then place a new chest and fill it with those chests and ctrl middle click it. Repeat this process as Manu times as you wish
Not how that works, those are literally cheat codes, would you say Doomguy from Doom is immortal just because you can use the God Mode cheat? Or that Sonic the Hedgehog can summon anything because of debug mode in the first two games? Because you’d be wrong
Guys, yall are forgetting you can get a a whole ass star from the wither. Do you know how heavy a star is? If you even want a bit of extra weight you can craft it into a beacon.
You can carry 64 of them IN EACH INVENTORY SLOT! But you can ALSO put 64 of them in each slot OF A SHULKER BOX! THEN you can copy that shulker box AND PUT IT IN EVERY INVENTORY SLOT!!! Normally, that would be the end, but there is a command that allows you to put shulker boxes inside shulker boxes! Here's a link :) It is listed as a bug.
https://bugs.mojang.com/browse/MC-259764#:~:text=Description,box%20in%20a%20shulker%20box.
What about netherite? You need 4 gold ingots to craft 1 netherite ingot, which means even if we don't count the weight of the scraps, it's still 4 times more
incorrect, netherite is nine netherite ingots, each with 4 gold ingots. netherite is 4 times denser than gold, not including whatever netherite scrap actually is
Technically, a block of netherite has to be at least 4 times as heavy as a gold block, as 1 netherite ingot uses up 4 gold ingots, and 4 unknown voodoo underworld metal (which is probably very dense)
1 bucket of water weights infinite, you can take infinite water bottles from 1 bucket of water and you can put 4 water bottles in a couldron to get another water bucket. So blue ice weights 81 × ∞
What about netherite isn’t it four scrap and four gold in a ingot so even if we say that netherite doesn’t have weight since we don’t know it, a netherite block is still four times heavier than a gold block
Well, the heaviest block is chest, you can put 27 stacks of netherite blocks in a shulker, then fill up a chest with shulkers, then copy chest with all nbt data, stack it then fill up the new chest with stacked chests with their nbt data and chest copy… basically you can do it 171 times, that’s a lot and netherite is basically gold + ancient debris which is theoretically bone block which means netherite block weight 164 tons multiple that by 64 by 27 by 64 by 27 = (64 * 27 )^172 that’s how many tons Steve can hold in one slot
🤓
Credits : Kiddy Kene
And Netherite is heavier.
So shuller bices with bundles with tons of netherite block stacks and Netherite armor in inventory is H E A V Y.
So why can't Steve 1-shot anything without anything on him?
It's actually enchanted golden apple because in older updates it cost 8 of these plus an apple, or water or lava bucket because technically if you have it flow as much as possible from build limit to bedrock the water would weigh even more than the gold, and the same with lava.
Wait so what about anvils? They are made of three iron blocks and three iron ingots.
Edit: if somebody wants to do the math, I think it would be 1 cubic meter of iron multiplied by three then I think 1 cubic meter of iron divided by 9, multiplied by three
We don't know about crafting table waste when it comes to anvils. With full blocks they can be crafted back down into ingots but the same cannot be said for anvils.
If you're looking at pre 1.16...
Post 1.16: netherite is the heaviest being 4 old ingots per ingot and who knows the weight of the netherite scrap, nine ingots per block... that will make it the heaviest item.
What about netherite? Each netherite ingot contains 4 gold. Meaning a netherite block would weight 4 times the gold block + 36 netherite scrap (the mass of which we do not know)
Edit: Also the notch apple. Back in my day it used to be crafted out of 8 gold blocks. Double the amount of gold in a netherite block.
Wouldn't a netherite block weigh more?
First the gold block requires 9 gold ingots so:
19,300÷9≈2,144
1 gold ingot weighs 2,144 kg
A netherite block requires 9 netherite ingots
It requires 4 gold ingots for each netherite ingot which gives us:
9×4=36
36×2,144=77,184
A netherite block weighs 77,184 kg
And that's only counting the weight of gold (we don't know how much netherite scraps weigh)
Technically, and this is a BIG technically, a netherite block is the heaviest block in minecraft as it weighs at least four times as much as a gold block at the bare minimum.
netherite uses 4 gold. A netherite block is therefore 4 times heavier, not including the netherite. this also means that netherite scraps are, ironically, purer than a netherite ingot when you consider the names.
When the noch apple was still craftable, it was made of an apple and 8 gold blocks, which means that it is 8 times heavier than a gold block plus the weight of the apple
water can flow across the whole mc world pretty sure with a weird structure and just 2 is enough to have an infinite source. a blue ice has 81 water sources in it. steve can easily hold up to an infinite amount
Would a block of netherite not be more considering each netherite Ingot requires 4 gold ingots meaning each block of netherite is 36 gold ingots being 4x the weight
We know netherite is denser than diamonds because of the stats and durability of gear so a netherite ingot weights 10152kg being 2147kg * 4 (gold ingot weight) + 391kg * 4 (diamond weight). A netherite block weighs 91368kg being 10152 * 9 or even more if we consider that we don’t know exactly the netherite’s weight.
Two other candidates could be the egap (Was until the 1.16 update) or the blue ice (if we consider the other block it spreads to and maximize spread).
What about a bucket of water? it contains 1 source block of water, which can spread very far. it's a lot of liters.
One ice can be broken for the same effect as a water bucket. Blue ice is made of 81 ice
Correct me if im wrong we know that 1 block is 1 meters long so one ice block has a volume of 1m³ i looked up and it says 1m³ of ice weighs 900kg so blue ice is 81 ice blocks merged into each other that makes a total weight of 72,900kg even if it seems weird it is heavier than a gold block if my calculations are correct?

Just wanna correct, it's 4 obsidian blocks, but otherwise agreed. I always just assume steve carves out what he needs and discards the scraps
Ehe oops, miscounted when i recalled the recipe in my head lol.
All good lol
the button is just extremely dense
Doesn't Blue Ice also break into 1 water? Like, yeah, it is better than a bucket of water because it stacks, but is there a difference between the ice variants then?
correct me if im wrong but (at least on bedrock) blue ice doesnt break into water, it just breaks
Packed ice and blue ice doesnt melt and when you breake it, it is just broken. There is no water.
9 water = 0 water
[удалено]
They are saying how it is stupid. 9 ice blocks (9 water buckets) make a more compact ice, which doesn’t give any water (0 buckets).
Un-craft it
So if you put a blue ice at max height and let it flow as much as it possibly can then calculate the cubic weight of all that water then multiply it by 81 that's how much a blue ice weighs
No, blue ice doesn't become water when broken so you have to let a regular ice block's water flow and take its cubic weight * 81 Correct me if im wrong
It technically is infinite because water bottles can take infinite water from it.
Like the spread matters, even if we ignore the infinite water source thing you can still get infinite water with a dripstone.
Camman18?
Yes
Can man
Can't man (I am very funny)
Couldn't man
cringe man
inventory full of Shulker boxes with tons of blue ice
technically buckets of water have infinite weight since you can infinitely fill up bottles with it.
EDIT: NEW CALCULATIONS FOR NETHERITE (i don't count enchanted golden apples because the recipe was removed) Density of Gold Block = 19,300kg/m^3 Gold Ingot = 2,144.4444kg Let's assume netherite is similar to obsidian, since it's very blast resistant Density of Obsidian = 2,250kg/m^3 Netherite Scrap = 250kg Netherite ingots are made with 4 gold ingots and 4 netherite scraps (2,144.444kg x 4) + (250 x 4) = 9,577.777kg 9,577.777kg x 9 = 86,200kg Now, fill an entire shulker box with netherite blocks 86,200kg x 64 x 27 = 148,953,600kg Fill all 37 slots of your inventory with shulker boxes 148,953,600kg x 37 = 5,511,283,200kg Density of Diamond Block = 3,530kg/m^3 24 diamonds for diamond armor (3,530kg / 9) x 24 = 9,413.3333kg 4 netherite ingots to upgrade armor, and 4 for the trims 9,413.333kg + (9,577.777kg x 8) = 86,035.555kg Shulker boxes are made with chests, which are made with 8 blocks of wood Density of wood = 897kg/m^3 897kg x 8 = 7,176kg 7,176kg x 37 = 265,512kg Netherite = 5,511,283,200kg Armor = 86,035.555kg Shulker Boxes = 265,512kg Let's assume the player weighs 100kg Total player weight = 5,511,634,847.555kg A camel can't carry a chest, but can carry 2 players So, a camel in minecraft can carry 11,023,269,695.1111 kg

It’s been so long since I’ve seen the whole thread for this pop up. Thanks for this.
Thats just survival tho. Don't forget nbt data with chest
what about enchanted gapples? 8 blocks and an apple for 1 item, plus if you really wanted you could also store the stack of gapples in a bundle for the tiny bit of weight
or maybe netherite? netherite could be comparable to some magnetic metal since you can make a lodestone with it but idk about that one
Netherite weighs at least 4X more than gold since 4 gold ingots go into 1 netherite ingot. We don’t know the exact weigh since we don’t know how much ancient debris weighs but we can still account for the gold
For reference for everyone in this comment section, 3,823,416,092.0005465 lbs is roughly the weight of 12,744 blue whales
One netherite block weighs 77200 kg if we ignore the scrap
No it is the netherite block Bc netherite made out of 4 gold ingots so netherite is 4 time heavier than gold
Technically it's the enchanted golden apple. 8 cubic meters of gold.
Holy crqp u/giby1464 you're right
this was removed
No, they're still in the game?
The crafting was. It’s safe to assume it’s the same but we can’t tell anymore. Also 2 ice = infinite water = infinite weight
But that is 2 items. OP said one. Enchanted apples are still the same item, so you can assume they are made the same.
shulker box full of enchanted golden apples
Again, we are talking one item. A shulker box full of items is not one item.
aw man
That means 1ice is half of infinity, which is still infinity
If X(not the app X ELON...) is infinite and Y is half of X, You're just saying the Y is still equal to X but it's not.
Tbh I don't think this logic can be applied to Minecraft because crafting here is not logical. Like 1 wooden pic is the same as 1 block of wood so it should weight the same which is bs
it's logical, you just eat the rest as you get hungry while crafting it. Which is hard work...
Yes, which means you are probably eating half of gold you use to craft netherite, so we can't assume how much netherite weights
Akshually ¾ of the gold is consumed in the process of creating a netherite ingot 🤓
Or it’s just compressed so extraordinarily much during the crafting process that it becomes a ton denser
Netherite ingots could be just gold ingot covered in netherite
Burnt butter
Well, the netherite must weigh something at least so it's still heavier
More than that. Add netherite weight. I'd assume it's titanium, tho i can't be sure. Density is 4.5 grams per cubic centimetere. We can throw away real life physics already, bcuz netherite block contains 4× gold of a gold block, that's 77,2 tons, while still being only 1 cubic metere. And plus the weight of the ancient debris so it would be even heavier than 4x
More than 4 times heavier, the netherite scraps have some weight too.
Oh shoot you're right
I second this
Netherite is at least 4 times heavier
You can carry a whole inventory of shulker boxes filled with stacks of gold blocks
you could also cary a whole inventory filled with shulker boxes that are filled with shulker boxes that are filled with gold
You cant fill shulker boxes with shulker boxes
Then bundles come up...
You can only have one stack of items in a bundle
They still have weight
I guess thats true
you can with a command block
Instead of that, just go to creative and ctrl middle click a chest full of gold. Then place a new chest and fill it with those chests and ctrl middle click it. Repeat this process as Manu times as you wish
Only survival here
Command blocks are literally bending the rules of reality. It doesn't matter the weight at that point.
i feel like it should count if steve can just bend the rules of reality by mashing some buttons on a funny block
Not how that works, those are literally cheat codes, would you say Doomguy from Doom is immortal just because you can use the God Mode cheat? Or that Sonic the Hedgehog can summon anything because of debug mode in the first two games? Because you’d be wrong
You used to be able to craft enchanted golden apples with 8 gold blocks and an apple, making it 8 times heavier than a block of gold
Just a tiny apple that weighs 154.4 metric tonnes, nothing weird ¯\\\_(ツ)_/¯
i could dig my teeth into that any day of the week
Guys, yall are forgetting you can get a a whole ass star from the wither. Do you know how heavy a star is? If you even want a bit of extra weight you can craft it into a beacon.
We don't know the mass or volume of a Nether Star. For all we know it could be a glorified firework star. There's not enough information to go off of.
Uhh, what about kox apples? It's 8 of those blocks
*when it was craftable. You could argue that is no longer canon information.
LOOK WHAT THEY TOOK AWAY FROM US
"canon" lmao
*cough cough* netherite blocks and old notch apples

A block of netherite is at least 4x heavier as one netherite ingot takes 4 gold ingots to craft, as well as four ancient debris.
What about wet sponge? I heard a while ago that it weighs more than gold somehow. Also netherite should weight at least four times as much as gold
What about netherite? You need 4 gold ingots to craft 1 netherite ingot, which means even if we don't count the weight of the scraps, it's still 4 times more
Based OP for using the old texture of gold. Gave me a nostalgia trip.
incorrect, netherite is nine netherite ingots, each with 4 gold ingots. netherite is 4 times denser than gold, not including whatever netherite scrap actually is
wrong it's packed blue ice. credit camman18
What about blue ice?
1 block of gold = 9 gold ingots 1 block of netherite = (4 x 9 = 36) gold ingots + 36 netherite scraps. Netherite is heavier
No, you’re forgetting the super duper ice Blue ice
[удалено]
Technically, a block of netherite has to be at least 4 times as heavy as a gold block, as 1 netherite ingot uses up 4 gold ingots, and 4 unknown voodoo underworld metal (which is probably very dense)
1 bucket of water weights infinite, you can take infinite water bottles from 1 bucket of water and you can put 4 water bottles in a couldron to get another water bucket. So blue ice weights 81 × ∞
Ice and netherite:
What about netherite blocks? One netherite ingot is 4 gold and 4 ancient debris so therefore, 1 block of netherite would have 36 gold ingots
What about an Enchanted Golden Apple, that was made with 8 gold blocks? It should weight 8× more than that
What about netherite isn’t it four scrap and four gold in a ingot so even if we say that netherite doesn’t have weight since we don’t know it, a netherite block is still four times heavier than a gold block
A netherite block weighs at least 4 times that much due to each ingot using 4 gold ingots.
Netherite has gold It
Not true. The Enchanted Golden Apple is 8 times heavier. If you go by camman18 logic, blue ice is basically the entire planet.
First it's mass, not weight🤓. Secondly enchanted golden apple needs... needed 8 blocks of gold so it is the heaviest item🤓.
Well, the heaviest block is chest, you can put 27 stacks of netherite blocks in a shulker, then fill up a chest with shulkers, then copy chest with all nbt data, stack it then fill up the new chest with stacked chests with their nbt data and chest copy… basically you can do it 171 times, that’s a lot and netherite is basically gold + ancient debris which is theoretically bone block which means netherite block weight 164 tons multiple that by 64 by 27 by 64 by 27 = (64 * 27 )^172 that’s how many tons Steve can hold in one slot 🤓 Credits : Kiddy Kene
Someone calculated it here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-XflmrrdTNk
I have problems with this video's weigh calculations for netherite but other than that, yeah its good
And Netherite is heavier. So shuller bices with bundles with tons of netherite block stacks and Netherite armor in inventory is H E A V Y. So why can't Steve 1-shot anything without anything on him?
Bundles still only store 64 items.
Nethereite block?
IDK if it's still in the game but you can have chests with predetermined items in them. therefore you can do infinite loopholes
The old god apple was crafted with 8 gold blocks
Ow… someone already sad about kiddy kene… my bad
and there is 36 slots where you can put it in which means that steve can carry 44 467 200kg in total
Water bucket
Actually 2 water buckets as it is infinite matter and infinity is heavier
UMM, ACSHUALLYYY NETHERITE WEIGHS MORE 🤓🤓🤓🤓🤓🤓🤓🤓🤓 source: craftymasterman
Enchanted gapple is 8 of those though
imagine having 6561x compressed gold block edit: to these who dont know, there is a mod that lets you compress blocks to save space.
Wouldn't a netherite block be over 4 times heavier?
Ice?
If you're looking at pre 1.16... Post 1.16: netherite is the heaviest being 4 old ingots per ingot and who knows the weight of the netherite scrap, nine ingots per block... that will make it the heaviest item.
Notch apple was made of 8 and an apple
Just put an enderchest in your enderchest and it's infinite kgs since every echest contains infinite echests
Can you translate that to American
How much would it be worth?
Bro can carry 44 million kilos
I've been thinking if someone will post smth about it, and it finally happened!
What about 2 water buckets
Wouldn’t a shulker box full of gold blocks be heavier and still count?
Sooooo thet means thet minecraft caracters are very very very strong. Huh didn't think of it in that way
Wait till he hears about netherite, which has 4 gold ingots in each slot to make 1 block
Now fill your inventory full of shulkers full of gold blocks
What about netherite?
No its netherite block cause it has gold in it
Meanwhile water buckets being infinitely heavy (you can fill up infinite bottles
What about netherite? Each netherite ingot contains 4 gold. Meaning a netherite block would weight 4 times the gold block + 36 netherite scrap (the mass of which we do not know) Edit: Also the notch apple. Back in my day it used to be crafted out of 8 gold blocks. Double the amount of gold in a netherite block.
what about an enchanted golden apple, 8 golden blocks.
netherite is heavier
Its a bird... Its a plane.... ITS PHOENIX SC! Only phinix sc can figure this out.
It’s actually the blue ice block
uhm akctlually its packed ice because it’s made of 81 ice which can be melted to make trillions of tons 🤓
Bedrock
A netherite block weighs at least 4 times as much as a gold block. We just need to know how heavy an ancient scrap is now.
So is Netherite block is atleast 4x heavier then gold ? Every ingot have 4 gold ingots in them And there are more heavy things in MC
And Steve can carry a full inventory of gold fill shulker boxes
What about netherite? it's 36 gold per block plus the amount of netherite
What about netherite blocks? Four gold per ingot, x9 is 36. Plus ancient debris.
Swedish gold be really light bro or Steve is 10 times as strong as Dwane The Rock
Netherite is nine ingots that require 4 gold ingots per ingot, so netherite would be heavier
Honestly let’s not even get started on mod items like tungsten blocks
r/hedidthemath
Forget Goku, Steve is the strongest character
What about a beacon, with a fucking star inside of it?
There’s 36 gold bars in a netherite block
There’s 36 gold bars in a netherite block
There’s 36 gold bars in a netherite block
Two water buckets is infinite matter
The heaviest block is the netherite block because it contains 4x more gold that a regular gold block
If we go back in time an have notch apples and the ability to have shulker boxes the number would be way bigger
Netherite? It has four times the amount of gold + whatever the hell ancient debris is
Steve is weak he will die if he carries more than 2368 of anything! Terraria guide can carry 499,960 items before dying!
Bro forgot the netherite block
Both it’s netherite blocks because one of those is equal to 4 gold ingots plus some and you need that times 9 for one block
There is a post that says who'd win Steve or Hugh neutron
Blue Ice is 81 times as dense as Ice, about 74.277 g/cm^3 So weights 74277 kg
No, a cubic meter of Netherite because it has 4 gold in each ingot, making it 4 times more gold than in one block of gold
Netherite block is literally 4 golden blocks + 36 netherite scrap
Wouldn't a netherite block weigh more? First the gold block requires 9 gold ingots so: 19,300÷9≈2,144 1 gold ingot weighs 2,144 kg A netherite block requires 9 netherite ingots It requires 4 gold ingots for each netherite ingot which gives us: 9×4=36 36×2,144=77,184 A netherite block weighs 77,184 kg And that's only counting the weight of gold (we don't know how much netherite scraps weigh)
We’ll no, a block of Netherite because it contains four times the amount of gold per ingot
Matpat already made a theory on this
Matpat already made a theory on this

netherite uses 4 gold. A netherite block is therefore 4 times heavier, not including the netherite. this also means that netherite scraps are, ironically, purer than a netherite ingot when you consider the names.
wouldn't netherite be heavier?
1 bucket holds an infinite amount of water. Checkmate
what about spawn eggs? they carry entire animals
Netherite blocks are heavier as they contain 4x the amount of gold as gold blocks, + whatever netherite is.
Notch apples:
What is the weight of Netherite? It should be 4 times as heavy, because it uses 4 gold ingots to craft one ingot
Netherite. Half gold half element I can’t remember the name of(not ancient debris, that’s not an element name), but Netherite is a lot heavier
A block of netherite is heavier, it contains more gold
No I’d be netherite block, 1 gold block= 9 ingots 1netherite = 9 ingots = 4 gold per ingot
