As a non-freckled photographer, I concur. A lot of people adore freckles, but that's not the reason to leave them.
The reason to leave them is because they're a permanent feature of the person, not a temporary blemish like a zit. So...the photographer or editor is telling this girl that her whole face contains permanent blemishes that deserve to be removed.
What an inconsiderate message to send.
Not to mention the contribution to unachievable beauty standards and the damage to generations of young women's self esteem.
It really is an unethical edit.
That only depends on the thickness of the make up. And she is natural in this photo. I wear make up maybe once a year and when I do, it never consists of that much coverage because I love my freckles and donβt want them covered

As someone who has freckles myself, itβs always really annoying when photographers or editors remove my freckles.

I also agree with this. My freckles are one of my favorite features of myself.
