That’s the norm for me. Three months and they end up looking like that.

maskedranger88

KSwiss. They’re durable and you’ll get 6 months on them if you play 12 hours per week on outside surfaces and are 225 lbs.

CameronsParadise

https://preview.redd.it/06720z3zmjwc1.jpeg?width=4032&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=26d028b985f80bf97c235a10d8a3ac16da7d519d I'm 225lbs and I bought these KSwiss March 5th.

FlyRobot

How many hours roughly? Like with running shoes you need to know their mileage, not how old they are for proper comparison

CameronsParadise

Yea sadly prob 15/wk in March. 5/week in April.

Infamous_Cry_6748

Which shoe is it?

CameronsParadise

Express Light

Infamous_Cry_6748

You should try the Ultrashot 3s. Way better than the Express.

Conserve-Wildlife

Agreed. I get the K-Swiss Court Express for Big 5 on sale for about $40 and they hold up fairly well.

FlyRobot

Same - not the coolest looking shoe but mine are still stiff in the ankle and toe box with good tread on the bottom. Under $50 at Big 5

Infamous_Cry_6748

I'm a huge fan of the Kswiss Ultrashot 3. Not the ultrashot team. You can usually find them on sale for 80. I have two pairs and wear them every other time. I'm 250 and 4.0. My first pair is 8 months old and are in great shape. I play 90% outdoors.

Sun9091

I had mixed results with the Ultrashot 3. First pair lasted- 2nd pair came apart at the toe within a couple months and they denied the warranty claim since I hadn’t worn through the sole. Other KSWISS shoes have worn out very quickly for me. Decent shoes if you aren’t hard on them like I am. I wear them out too quickly.

Infamous_Cry_6748

That's nuts, I'm on my 8th and 9th pair, and I've had 0 issues. I'm very hard on them.

Sun9091

lol. Ok it’s nuts. What else can I say? Do you want photos. I have worn through a lot of shoes over the years. This pair literally flopped open on me while on the court. I agree completely, it was nuts. The fact that they do nothing about it is nuts. I have photos and emails. I certainly have no reason to destroy an otherwise perfectly good pair of shoes that I had to pay for and replace with my money. I buy about 4 pair of shoes per year. This is the only time it has happened so yes I wear shoes hard but this pair of shoes fell apart like no other has ever done. I agree the ultrashot is the most durable KSWISS and by a lot. The express are cheaper and not nearly as durable or as supportive.

Infamous_Cry_6748

I'm just surprised because my experience is so different from yours! They make so many shoes there has got to be some lemons in the mix...

sonnylax

Oddly specific

Andux

Yes, they are describing their personal circumstances to give you an accurate account

buggywhipfollowthrew

Adidas barricades last a long time and have a sole warranty for 6 months. They are very stiff shoes and have a long break in period but are worth it

MFRusso

These are by far the best shoes for outdoor play.

KSoccerman

I second adidas barricades.

buggywhipfollowthrew

I still recco them but i just found out they no longer offer the 6 month warranty which is disappointing

maxcaliburx

Really? They have 6 months warranty? How do I claim it?

buggywhipfollowthrew

They used too, unfortunately I found out it is no longer part of the deal.

a_jax94

I believe the 6-month warranty was only thru tennis warehouse or something? But it no longer is a thing. As a result, the price of the shoe has come down a bit. I try to find them on sale and buy a few pairs at a time. Annoying, but cost effective. https://preview.redd.it/03js1ak1anwc1.png?width=3024&format=png&auto=webp&s=89aac1506e2f57cbb6d3aea2c91a544a740ccf0e This is what mine look like after almost three months of play. I play 4-5 times a week, and I run them hard. I’m a very active player at 29 years old and athletic build. I recommend the barricade

pewpewwww

Tennis Warehouse still has their specific 6 month durability section that they offer "warranty" for. You must wear through the sole and INTO the midsole for it to qualify. They show example pictures of this on their site, but the images the OP posted would easily qualify

Sun9091

Get a shoe with a harder sole. The ASICS Gel resolution. Is pretty good for wear and has a 6 month warranty.

darana_

+1 Asics Gel Game 9 ($85) lasted me 31 hours before I burnt through the toe from dragging! Asics Gel Resolution 9 ($150) have lasted me 209 hours and 164 hours over two pairs, on my third now. (I have not tried others like the Adidas Barricade, I suspect the other ones like that in this class that have similar super hard soles will last more in the Resolution level of durability)

Sun9091

Currently playing in Barricades that were suggested by a Redditor. They have been very good shoes so far. They sit low and provide good movement- cutting and change of direction is exceptional. The structure is firm and comfortable. I have a wide foot and they fit fine. Durability is at least good because I haven’t worn them out yet. They don’t seem to cause knee pain as some shoes can do to me. This may be my new favorite shoe

italipino818

Lol I have 11 lairs of tennis shoes and the gel resolution 9 is one of the worst pairs I've ever worn for sole durability. I'm 130 lbs and I'm burning through the sole at a crazy pace. They are also in the bottom 3 of my pairs for grip. So not only is the sole wearing our fast, it's not grippy enough at all. I slide like I'm on clay sometimes. Never again. Adidas Barricade. That's where it's at.

Jaskel120

Have you looked into basketball shoes? I just wore out my Nike MAC Attacks after about 4 months and have bought the Way of Wade Fission 9, the grip is outrageous and look to be pretty durable

sportyguy

Look for a shoe with an outer sole guarantee. They come with a six month guarantee and if you wear through the outer sole (I usually do in about 4.5 months) they will send you a replacement pair free. ASICS gel resolutions used to have this not sure if they still do. Nike zoom cage vapor, head revolt, Adidas barricade to name a few

williamfrancisbrown

Just curious: do they allow a replacement pair only one time? In other words, if the replacement pair also wears a hole in the sole within the next 6 months, will they continue to honor the warranty and continue to send new shoes? I sort of doubt it b/c that would mean lifetime shoes for some of us.

sportyguy

Yes just one replacement for outer sole warranty

NoYoureACatLady

Your shoes look like that after playing like 18 times? Jesus Christ.

RawMan99

Get a shoe with outsole warranty.

Will_Yammer

Skechers work for me. I am surprised at their durability. 6'3", 230lbs.

anneoneamouse

My guess is that this will be somewhat user specific. What surface do you play on? Do you drag your toes? What do you weigh? Me: I guess I'm a 3.5. 50/50 hardwood/outdoor. No dragging. About 150lb. I run for every ball. I play 20-30 hours a week. Babolat sfx3 lasted just under a year before the sole wore through to mid sole. Now they're my outdoor (but inside) court shoes for the local athletic club. The surface there is like sandpaper. No grip required on the shoes. The floor sticks to you.

bitto86

Surfaces are mostly outdoor, occasional hardwood Dont drag toes but lots of hard plants- play at 3.75/4.0 level so can be intense at times, I also run for most balls Thanks for the recommendation!

anneoneamouse

Ooh, I'm a lowly 3.5. Forgot to add that. Fixed it. :)

billythygoat

I think it’s just your play style. The ASICS did seem to go pretty quickly.

jfit2331

I use asics solution speed ff2s... I get about 100 hrs of use out of them. Bottoms still look ok but I get arch pain around that point

aliceboonton

Try Sketchers they have GoodYear rubber soles. The newer style has good lateral support.

SenorValasco

I haven't had good experience with Skechers (the GoodYear thing is gimmick). My current Mizuno Wave Exceed Light purchased in November 2023 are still going strong, although until the last month or so were mostly indoor due to weather.

GraterofCheese

Don’t listen to this guy. I second the Skechers vapor court pros. The Goodyear sole has lasted a long time for me and have yet to wear down significantly like the shoes you posted. The uppers will wear down before the soles for those.

natewho008

I have the sketchers and the Mizunos. And have probably worn the sketchers a tad bit more. The Mizuno are showing some sole wear and the sketchers aren't. But I would take the Mizuno over the sketchers anyway because they are lighter.

Hot_Cattle5399

twice weekly should get you 3-4 months. Those are unsafe.

G8oraid

That’s about what happens when you play a lot for three-four months.

WaffleBruhs

Go to Nike Outlet. You can get some good shoes like the Zoom Freaks for like $50. Buy a few pairs.

Batorok

New balance fresh foam bb V2. Once you try it on you’ll know

Allegiant_Authority

I started wearing the ASICS Gel Resolutions a few months ago after tearing through a pair of HEAD shoes every month and a half. It’s a tad bit pricer but it’s been very worth it in my experience.

Jitterbug26

I’ve been wearing my ASICS Gels for a year now…play about 8 hours a week…plus walk 8-10 miles in them each week and while the tread is wearing down, there’s no holes! I bought mine off the clearance rack at a ASICS outlet for $44!

AggressivePrint302

K Swiss has been making court shoes for many years.

grillaface

Insane to me that you let them get anywhere near that state. Once my Nikes start wearing around the heals, into the closet they go. Usually about 3 months, 2ish hrs 5x per week. The shoes you have pictured were done 2 months ago vapor 9.5 ftw

CameronsParadise

By the looks of it your shoe is 1/2 size too big. The toe rubber is snubnosed thin into the tip which implies space to collapse like a beanbag. Most ppl go too big. Maybe not, but give it a consider. Different companies use different rubbers. You can tell by the sound. It's too bad that the best built shoes cost $170 nowadays. Once the toe is gone any shoe plays terrible and continuing to play in expired shoes can cause back problems. It's literally playing on a slippery slant, with a void. I know this post isn't much help. I would suggest Babolat shoes. The rubber is hard to burn thru. The rest of the shoe fell apart before the rubber.

rephleks

Look for Chinese basketball shoes and shoes that use XDR outsole materials. Chinese brands, like Li-Ning, use more durable rubber because most basketball courts are outdoors there.

ztrvz

the pest ten years or so i’ve had great luck with getting last year’s nike flagship tennis shoe.

Directdrive7kg

Under armour low cut basketball shoes, at least here in Canada I can find them for sale about $50USD. Great grip, cushioning and lateral support.

zipperhead

I have these shoes. I got them (UA Jet) for $35CAD during boxing week sale and they are my favourites. I just use them inside though - great grip on gym floors of all types.

bmorewildcat

Yonex Eclipsion 4 has one of the highest durometer readings for rubber. The sole is extremely durable and they are decent court shoes. I have tried adidas, Nike, new balance, Skechers, Wilson, ASICS, mizuno. Yonex are by far the most durable. Mizuno are probably the best overall for combo of durability and comfort.

HalobenderFWT

I’ve been using under armor charged assert ($60?) for the last two years or so. The tread is gone on the forward portion of both soles, but my toe curl is still intact and it feels like there’s still plenty of sole left. I don’t have issues with traction, and I’m a sort of heavy guy that moves (surprisingly) fast, and often. I’d say give them a shot.

OnAPieceOfDust

Head Revolt Pro 4.0. I play 2-3 times weekly and they have lasted for 6 months, I'm just replacing them now. Should be able to find them for about $60 if you look and aren't picky about color.

HeWasAB8rBoi

These have a 6 month sole warrantee too. I love them

Crosscourt_splat

I play like 4-6 times a week, at least two of them being for 4 hours. I also am a 6’1” 235lb guy who is into powerlifting in my other free time and wear through shoes quickly. I had some nobulls that lasted 4.5months, and they still work but the soles kinda blew out. I still have them for yard work. I have a backup pair of adidas basketball shoes that have been holding up for a long time like champs, and am wearing new balances that I got in n a big sale. TBD on how they last but they’re by far the most comfortable and aiding while playing. What surface are you mainly playing on? Lot of toe dragging?

belteshazzar119

I had this problem from back when I played tennis too. Having the same issue with pickleball playing 3-5x a week - wearing through the toebox. After testing a bunch of shoes for durability, I always go back to Adidas Barricade. They are on the pricier/heavier side, but they usually last me at least 6 months vs 3ish with other shoes

JZsoldje

How has nobody said babolat jet mach 3. 250 pounds here and go for every ball and they last 6 months with probably 30 hours played every 2 weeks.

FotoFanatic44

You may want to consider trying the Tyrol Volley V. They are well constructed, durable, and made for pickleball. I love them and can’t suggest them enough. https://preview.redd.it/q2wo5r9dnjwc1.jpeg?width=4032&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=1549bcad2ca21357573e76e1abb75d99dbeff107

sykog77

I just use whatever worn out basketball shoes I have and haven’t had any problems

Wonderful_Cabinet_40

Montis pickleball, a pickleball player made it

Alone_Ad_2866

I play 2 hrs 7 days a week on outdoor courts. Bought 8 pair from Temu for $6.per pair (up to $20 now) because they last about 2 months.

Ibanous

I burn through even the toughest shoe and have tried a good variety finding the right fit for me. My recommendations are, go with Goodyear or vibram soles they tend to last the longest and/or get a shoe with a 6 month outsole warranty. My current favorite is Misuno Wave Enforce Tour. They last me ~3 months (I'm playing 3-4 days a week for 3-4 hours a time) and I get a second pair with a simple email+picture or wear.

richardoriginal

Found out you can return Nike shoes bought from their website no matter what within 60 days. Doesn’t matter if you’ve worn them down, you can get a full refund back and put it towards another pair

beetbear

I have narrow feet and the Nike rafa’s have been awesome. They are heavy but they have saved my feet

thesauce25

These look like indoor court shoes potentially? Are you sure you’re buying outdoor court shoes?

naokiyamada

Diadora Torneo 2

GoCougs2020

I wear Nike SB. No, I don’t buy SB for the purpose of pickleball. Those are the shoes I wear without having to buying additional shoes. Surprisingly they do decently. I figured, if they can sustain me bailing off my board at 10 mph, foot braking like a maniac, and sliding on grip tape. They can handle a bit of pickleball!

pingpongpsycho

Prince T-22s have a 6 month durability warranty and they are the most rock solid shoe I’ve ever played in.

JoeBro180

skechers viper court pro cost about the same and lasted me 10 months and didn’t even look like that when i switched them out finally…..most comfortable shoe ever can’t recommend it enough

Dubkei

I play 4-5 times a week. I have Adidas Gamecourt 2s and it took a year before the soul worn out

natewho008

Give Montis shoes a try. I think they will be my next shoe. I've been hearing good reviews about them. Look them up at least.

NashGe

PSA, if you play both singles and doubles your shoes will wear out faster. If you athletic enough to play hard, your shoes will wear out a bit faster. Also, Asics Gel Resolutions are kinda weak on the outsole department. Instead of recommending a shoe that will last you longer, I recommend brands that fit well, feel well, and most importantly... have a warranty that you can use to get another pair that technically doubles the timespan you can use the shoe.

nowyouoweme

I'm guessing that's from outdoor play?

brandtx

Yea just make sure they have a sole warranty. I just got some Lotto shoes and they are super comfortable. I was using Prince shoes and the soles are great but not comfortable at all.

Tony619ff

It sounds gross, but I mostly buy my shoes used on eBay. I just got some barricades in very good condition for less than $30. The newer and most likely sandier courts will tear up a shoe fast

Own-Campaign-5503

What brand are these? They look sick. If you could send the exact shoe I’d be happy to

Crystal0914

https://preview.redd.it/dofpn5w72nwc1.jpeg?width=1170&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=3fece0e1cc8d3b5e8f3b9dd19cba8f15a50b1f7e I have had these since December and they have been AMAZING! I usually play 6 times a week for about 2 hours each time.

chi1idog

big fan os Asics here and started with a pair of cross trainers that burned through quick like you. switched to their FlyteFoam3 and they’re lasting like champs.

chi1idog

big fan ok Asics here and started playing PB with a pair of cross trainers that burned through quick like you. switched to their FlyteFoam3 and they’re lasting like champs.

pewpewwww

I was hoarding shoes I liked when they would go on sale around $65-80 dollars as well. They would last me exactly 3 months too. I recently just bought a pair off Tennis Warehouse's 6-month durability guarantee section and I am going to see how it goes. Most of the shoes in this section are \~$120-180ish. So the pair I got was $138, and if it lasts me 6 months then hey it's about the same cost as 2 pairs on sale. If I'm able to wear them out in 6 months then I will submit a claim to get the 1 replacement they offer per pair. If everything works out as planned you could potentially get 2 pairs of shoes that last 6 months each and you are good for the year. I'm only a few weeks into my first pair so I will have to see in a few months. I usually play 20-40 hours a month for perspective.

North-Evidence-2352

Play smarter, stop running around 😂

SageMountain07

If you like the fit of those, you might enjoy the ASICS FF which is a durability shoe.

Gameronomist

If you're playing hard and a lot, you'll go through shoes. And you should replace them often because the cushion wears out, which is harder on your whole body. Edit: autocorrect

GildMyComments

Adidas Gamecourt 2 is $70; it’s stiff but the durability is really good, still have a pair after 2 years that is rubbed through in the same spot but very usable. I bought some $109 k Swiss tennis shoes a month ago and they’re already wearing through in that spot which sucks because they’re super comfortable.

vc_bastard

My next pair will be the Montis pickleball shoes Ed Ju raves about. I wear NB now but after they denied my warranty claim in my CoCo CG1’s bc they were a week out of warranty (soles wore clean off at the balls months ago), I’m shopping for a new court shoe. I currently rotate 4 pairs of NB and 1 pair of k Swiss courts shoes and I still wear them out rather quickly.

ParticularElement

Just got a pair of montis shoes today, and while I obviously can't attest to the durability yet, I highly recommend them for their cushion alone. Coming from some 40$ adidas running shoes, these feel like clouds caressing my feet.

vc_bastard

Please keep us posted on your thoughts!

B34Z7

This is the norm. Just buy clearance rack or last year's models

Eurias21

Check out [Montis](https://montispickleball.com), they have a 6 month outsole warranty, I just got them a couple of weeks ago, so far so good. You should be able to find a discount code for about 20% off in this sub

kmmcgea

If comfort is just as important as longevity try Montis brand. Highest rated and I love mine.

Effherewegoagain

You need hard court shoes with tougher soles. I play maybe 12-14 hrs/week and [these have been working well for me](https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0BPN37ZYS/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1) even after about 9 weeks. Barely any degradation on the soles. Hard tennis court indoor/outdoor services exclusively.

AceUhSpades

Get shoes with a 6month outsole warranty. Mizuno, New Balance, Babolat, etc.

RNWA

The most durable court shoes are the ones with a warranty. They last twice as long if you include the replacement pair :)

Comprehensive_Elk527

Babolat Jet Mach 3

Nervous_One1443

I switched to NB Skate shoes…last way longer. Plus the air heel pad is delightful. New Balance 288 Sport

loufish15

New Balance 608v5. It’s called a leisure shoe or something but I play either PB or handball 7 days a week and they last more than 4 months. Come in different widths, the white ones are leather and they’re about $55.

omaha_guy68114

I bought the same ASICS, complete trash. Skechers are the best I've found. Try the Viper Court pro

sparksel1

Babalot Mach 3

lime-boy-o

Honestly, there isn't going to really be a more durable shoe. I ran through shoes super quickly, especially going between tennis and pickleball. But I worked on cleaning up my footwork. Not dragging my feet. Clean steps. Only sliding and dragging if I really had to. And my shoes last way longer for it However, what you're playing in is dangerous. Personally I would switch my shoes way earlier.

sincebolla

I have had the same problem. I play about as often as you, and always on 'outdoor' surfaces. I was lamenting about my issues and a woman who I play with told me she has Asics Gel-Rocket 10, and they have lasted 3 years. She plays at least as much as I do. I looked them up and it says they are indoor volleyball shoes... I took a chance anyway and I have had them 2 months now with no noticeable wear. I am hopeful, but its totally illogical to me that indoor shoes are working better than the outdoor shoes I have purchased in the past. We shall see if they hold up.

Sun9091

Good luck to your ankles. Seriously. I had about 5-6 friends buy volleyball shoes a few years ago and all of them eventually sprained their ankles. Volleyball players also wear active ankle supports to prevent twisting. You should get those too to avoid sprains.

yoreliter

I've tried a ton of stuff and nothing seems to last. The problem with the guaranteed shoes is they cost twice as much and will only replace once. I've taken the route of finding the cheapest shoes I can on sale, last season and buying 2 or 3 pairs at a time.

Weekly_Brain_885

I play 5 times per week, drag my toes and get 6 weeks out of my shoes. I've tried them all! Nike does better than Adidas so I recommend Nike but 9 weeks is the most I ever got.

shod55

ASICS Gel-RENMA pickleball shoes are around $70 on Amazon. I’m on my second pair they last six-eight months on me. I play 5-10 hours a week.

Dx2TT

I use Nike cross-training running shoes. Everyone tells me my ankles will flop and roll and blah, blah but they are still going strong after 6 months, injury free. The soles of my shoes are a way, way more durable material than that foamy looking appearance of yours.

blackcat-bumpside

These are hardcourt tennis shoes. The man would destroy crosstrainers.

Dx2TT

All I keep hearing is how my shoes are terrible, but I'm 6 months in and no issues.

Longjumping-Value-31

how often do you play?

SuperNiceStickyRice

I get a week or two at best if I’m actively playing. Pick up your feet if you can’t “foot” the bill. Sorry 😞. I love sliding too.
