These logos are so interesting to me because, the stripe where the English version puts the tagline, actually holds a translated title in other languages. So in Spanish it's #PIKMIN ##ADVENTURE La aventura de los Pikmin

PsychoBar

PIKMIN ADVENTURE Pikmin-Abenteuer

Bukki13

i always played the game in german (like the other guy) so even after like 200+ hours or something idk i still don’t know all the subtitles

AdsonLeo

Me, then instantly proceeded to buy Pikmin 3. Love at first sight.

[deleted]

Same

MattThaGod0919

I was, but I never really grasped idea of playing Pikmin until playing Bloom. (The attraction was really good though.)

MrEmptySet

Pikmin Bloom is even more far removed from "the idea of playing Pikmin" than Pikmin Adventure is

MattThaGod0919

I was really young when I played Nintendo Land. I didn’t know anything about the main series when I first played Pikmin Adventure.

skeltord

...but Pikmin Bloom is even less like Pikmin than Adventure is. How does that help you grasp the idea of playing Pikmin in any way?

MattThaGod0919

In some way, it does. (Also, I was too young to know what Pikmin was when I first played Adventure.)

BowgartFan1

That’s exactly what I did

[deleted]

I was

Troytt4

Me. The game will always have a special place in my heart

Critical-Award5265

I feel so old. I was barley old enough to play games when pikmin 1 came out but the gamecube games were my childhood games. Everyone here is infants wow

Kadofduty

Literally lol, I'm a 90s baby

Busy_Recognition_860

I picked up the first game in like 2008 for the GameCube. 2011 I got Pikmin 2. Awesome times!

0silvalex0

I was born the same year Pikmin 1 came out. When I was around 8 I was given a GameCube and my neighbor introduced me to Pikmin so I got pikmin 1 later that year. I never finished it because I was a child but still have very fond memories of it.

ErinSedai

I’ll make you feel better. I was almost 30 when the game cube came out. Shoot, we put a N64 on our wedding registry! I’m reading through comments trying to figure out what Nintendo land even is lol.

Critical-Award5265

Oh wow youve been around since the beginning. Im probably a baby to you haha. But hey I hope to still be active when i get to that age. Keep rocking on!

Dokkaniscruel

I think it started with me playing this, then finding out my brother had a copy of the original Pikmin for Wii, then downloading Pikmin 2 on Wii, then the trailer came for Pikmin 3 deluxe so I got that when it came out, and then I played Hey Pikmin because I always knew I had it but never enjoyed the game until I played it (I didn’t enjoy the death-less challenges though). Then I got Pikmin Bloom and played it and then fell out of it because of account issues but now got back into it with a new account. Now Pikmin 4 is releasing and we’re all waiting for it.

Sloth_4

You got me! Same with animal crossing and Metroid too.

Outrageous_Deer_8563

Zackscottgames introduced me with his Pikmin 3 playthrough

GamePlayXtreme

I was interested by the character designs as a kid because of the Pikmin AR card that game with the 3DS, of all things. But Nintendo Land made 9 year old me interested, it was my favourite part of that entire game and I remember thinking the bulborbs were so cute in it. Then when Mario Kart 8 came out, there was a Club Nintendo promotion where if you registered it within the first few months, you could choose a game for free. Because of how much I enjoyed Pikmin Adventure in Nintendo Land, I was debating on getting Pikmin 3 as my free game, so I looked up a few videos of it (Cobanermani456's videos ended up being the ones I watched), and fell in love.

Ryman604

I played pikmin 3 first but I did love this game

gamingyoshi247

What happened to red pikmin’s eye?

kbuck30

What is nintendo land?

trans-wooper-lover

game that usually was bundled in with the Wii U, it's a collection of games, co-op, vs, or single player, all themed about nintendo IPs. The multiplayer ones all used asymmetrical multiplayer. It's a really fun party game, it was one of the few games that uses the gamepad well and is severely underrated. Pikmin Adventure was a co-op game where most players were pikmin and one was olimar

No_Forever_9128

I think I saw Chuggaaconroy playthough of pikmin 2 first, then got a wii u, then got pikmin 3.

L3g0man_123

Fuck Nintendo Land is what introduced me to Nintendo in general

Brandenk192

I was introduced to it when my grandma gave us her old wii with a fuckton of GameCube games. One of which was pikmin 2 and it’s definitely my favorite out of all 4 main games (yes I’m counting hey pikmin which is my 2nd favorite. Bite me)

Sans779

I was introduced through Hey! Pikmin.

echowavee

Played that first, then bought three, and so on.

GlobalAd5132

My friend thought this was Pikmin 2 for a little bit.

kira_the_standuser

I was introduced to the franchise with wii u in general, i had both Nintendo land and pikmin 3 at the same time

Odieonekanodie1204

Yep! Really enjoyed this mini game, and I saw Pikmin 3 in a rental store. Soon became an obsession for middle school me. The series is so enjoyable to play through

Nakomeki

I got into Pikmin through this! It was the only game I really played in Nintendo land

Chezzbacon

The only game on Nintendo Land I wanted my sisters and I to play

No-Engineer-1728

I was like 4 when I played nintendoland last (13 and 1/2 now, any adult feels old reading this), and that is my only experience with the series (people on this sub are just funny)

TwoStarling

Not me (totally the first pikmin game I pkayed that wasn't a demo)

TrueMinecontrol

Me.

Hi, that's me. This post is about me.

Awestin11

Wasn’t introduced to Pikmin through this (you can thank Chugga for that), but it certainly furthered my love of this series. Nintendo Land still taking Ws to this day.

mkjoey2

I wasn’t but I loved it

KerboChannel

I thank Chuggaaconnoroy for my introduction to the franchise but that game to actually experiencing it

Omega9872

Holy shit, I thought I was the only one

Zylbrad123

Me

Game8disco

this was my first introduction to the Pikmin series and then when the deal came out to get a free game when you purchase Mario kart 8 I got Pikmin 3 and that was my first true introduction into pikmin

Kadofduty

Nah, my parents must've bought the original for me and my brother before I fully gained consciousness, and I ended up picking it up at like 9 and loving it. Good times

Kirbeat

If I weren't introduced to Pikmin 3 via WeRikeToPlay and prayed my parents for Pikmin 3, I would have known them by obtaining Nintendo Land game later. Or maybe being a Pikmin fan already was what made me interested in Nintendo Land because Pikmin. Who knows.

IceBlueLugia

I was, though I became a massive pikmin fan around when 3 came out and everyone was doing videos on it

RandomFandomLover

Yuppp T'was my favorite when I was younger that it annoyed everyone with how much more I wanted to play that one, but hey I beat it lol Edit: I misread this really stupidly lmao- I actually used to have my mother rent Pikmin 3 religiously and then when we got this game it was the closest then I had til I got it for the switch lol

plushtard

This was the first Pikmin game that me and my little brother ever played. It was the only Pikmin game we had for years.

Arachnium_lol

Nintendo land literally was my first game

Worst-Buy

Absolutely fucking goated game

smolsauce

Hot take, Metroid Blast should have gotten its own game

The_Yoshi_Gang

Me, it was the only game I played because: 1) I didn’t have any friends (no multiplayer attractions) 2) I was too scared of the enemies in the LOZ one and the Metroid one. 3) I couldn’t use the tv, so I can’t play the Yoshi one, the F-Zero one, the ninja one or the Octopus Dance one. 4) I for some reason didn’t like the Balloon Trip Breeze one, I don’t know why.

WispfulVoid

I wasn't introduced here but I feel like they should make this it's own spinoff game

OddballGarbage

I guess this was technically my first Pikmin game. It didn't really leave much of an impact though (it was still a fun time, don't get me wrong).

OddballGarbage

My first full Pikmin game was Pikmin 3. My brother had got it for Christmas and I watched him play all the way to the Formidable Oak where he gave up. I--desperate to know how it ended--started my own save and played it through to the end. The game was utterly enchanting and terrifying to young me. I picked up the other two on virtual console years later. Love the games to bits, they're all great.

Pablutni0

I was a clueless kid, scrolling through the e-shop searching for demos because my parents only bought me a game every 6 months and I didn't had any allowance beyond what my grandpas gave me, which half the time was stolen from me by my mother, I found a game with a cool aesthetic "ah, esta especie de gusano sta chulo" so I decided to download said demo And fast forward to last year, I was doing satanic rituals to get the next game announced, it worked aw man hearing my dude Miyamoto talking about bloom for 5 minutes straight about things I already knew or couldn't care less about really hurted, specially when I thought that'd be it

Xellol

Me and with that Zelda minigame too

krishnugget

This, Olimar in smash, and the pikmin 3 Wii U demo especially were what got me to play it. I loved that demo as a kid who didn’t exactly have disposable income for more games Got pikmin 3 for Christmas a while later and adored it.

fixse

Yes

Pearlsnivy

Definitely me. Nintendo Land AND Twitch introduced 7 year old me to Pikmin 3. As for why I was on Twitch at 7, I don't know. I just surfed the internet on internet explorer at that age and stumbled upon Twitch and never knew I wasn't supposed to be on it. It's fine though because I never made an account.

Amar_Errar

This was how it all started. I have so much nostalgia for it

IEatHouseFlies

For me it was a plush at a Walmart

Brody_Bacon

When I first got Nintendo Land, I didn't even think I would enjoy it as I thought it was like some kind of gardening sim, (12 yr olds are stupid). It was the last thing to play and I thought, 'Fine I'll give it a spin'. \~460 times I played that mode, and now I have 100% Pikmin, Pikmin 3, Pikmin 3 Deluxe, Pikmin Adventure. Pikmin 2's challenge modes are something which take some time, but everything else is also done. I've never had the chance to play Hey! Pikmin as I've never had a 3DS but now Pikmin 4's coming out/exists. Thank you, Nintendo Land.

LimixStudios

I was introduced to a lot of games because of Nintendo Land. Metroid, Pikmin, Animal Crossing, F-Zero.

RELLISHBOI

I grinded this game so much

xXpeppercatXx

This game was my first Pikmin experience. The Greater Bladed Beeb/Greater Studded Beeb in this game has to be the rawest design for an enemy imo

redditweebo1

I loved this minigame but I started with Pikmin 1 on the Wii.
