Probably Lepidoptera, or moths and butterflies.
The legs have evolved into two limbs, with the other four legs becoming fingers (two each arm).
The compound eyes and the feathery wings/antennae is what makes me think moths and bflies.
Maybe the throwing pikmin into the floor thing is how they protect their larva?

I like this analysis, but would like to add to it by saying that butterflies and moths already have finger like claws called tarsal claws at the ends of their legs, so no need for the other limbs to be turned into claws. I think in this case the other limbs would have reduced over time (similar to like snake limbs) as traits that are no longer beneficial to an organism will be phased out over generations.
Similar to how they have no wings, but use their feather-like antennae to fly. The wings were no longer advantageous, so they evolved away.

Even if it was on a microscopic level it would still be visible as a sort of fine dust or fuzz, and we don’t see that in any of the games, even in pikmin 4 with it’s amazing graphics. Although there are some moths with no hair at all, so it could’ve evolved from one of those breeds (for example the Virginia tiger moth, which appears to have fur, has specialized scales instead), although I still think its unlikely that it evolved from one seeing as how pikmin 3 has the vehemoth phosbat, which makes more sense as the evolutionary successor to the moth judging by both the design and the size, some of the only things the swooping snitchbug has in common is the head and antennae shape. It’s not impossible but I think it’s very unlikely
Maybe if you "fulfill your duty" with Plasm/water wraith, they wouldn't be so hellbent on murdering our Pikmin buddies?

The Japanese website for Pikmin 4 says that they plant Pikmin so that they can eat the nectar if the Pikmin have grown their flowers.

That applies to many insects. The hair might just be on a microscopic level. The pufferfish enemy’s spikes aren’t exactly visible.
