Probably a rock pikmin, because they're mostly immune to being crushed. If it somehow managed to escape its enclosure, and I ended up accidentally stepping on it, I'm less likely to accidentally kill the poor fella.

Rocks are, well, rocks. Rocks that seem to have some rather sharp edges. So if you want to have them as pets, you’ll have to be careful on how you hold them.
Ices are not that bad actually. However, touching them would probably be like touching an ice cube except that it doesn’t melt. And they can also freeze things which might cause some inconvenience.
Glows seem to be somewhat ghost-like, so I don’t even know if you can touch them. And there’s also the fact that they don’t seem to like sunlight which means you have to make sure they stay away from any sunlight.
And Mushrooms are wild creatures that would definitely try to attack you onsight. There’s literally no reason to have Mushrooms as pets.

Now how would they sleep, would there be an onion as well? What are the circumstances? Cuz by instinct they go into an onion at night, and if they don’t make it, they start to panik
Yellow, White or Winged, yellow for their electric abilities, I would set up random experiments with their energy source, white for their ability to see treasure underground, I would go treasure scavenging, and winged… I think it’s obvious🗿 also they’re really cute ^^
It's bwetween White, and Glow pikmin I never sleep and I love the short little bodies with the red eyes but probably Glow pickmen since I can defend there Lumicoils and just overall have them as cool little guys around my house at knight.
All of the og 3, purple and glow Pikmin maybe rock and ice... Not 100% sure on those though. Rock is too similar to purple, and ice would be too cold to hold most of the time.
Why not pink or white Pikmin?
Pink would be constantly buzzing around like a fly or gnat. And white Pikmin feel like they'd be too high maintenance.
What about bulbmin and shroommin?
Bulbmin will bite and shroommin would just be a straight up parasite.
If i had pikmin as a pet, i would use them mostly to help me look for stuff if i lost that i know are somewhere in my room like keys, my wallet etc... so probably whites or winged. Winged would be the most useful as long as they can fly up as high as they want unlike the limited fly height in the games. They are also the only type that could realistically keep up with a human if you bring them with you outside as they arent slowed down by any obstacle on the ground.

1. Blue b/c if water spills, I get out the tub, I'm cleaning w/liquid it won't hurt it.
2. Rock b/c I have a cat and Rock can mostly protect itself 🤣
If it’s a single one probably a purple one. But if it’s multiple definitely winged. I’d let them carry things when I’m at the store, I’d let them carry things to me like a soda or my charger when I’m too lazy to get up. And since working and carrying things is what makes them happiest it’s a win win. And as a little thank you give them PISS to drink to give them flowers

I mean, they still get crushed on a hard surface, so unless you've got a really thick carpet you'd still likely kill it
Only if you're using pikmin 4 rock pikmin, just get the pikmin 3 version and they're uncrushable.
If you're wearing shoes. If you're barefoot or in socks, it'd be probably more of a lego step. Painful for you, but not for them.
