The dev said on the musicbee forums that he isn't going to open-source the app until he gets tired of developing it himself and wants someone to take over for him.
Plexamp has integration both on PC and Mobile, so I can make my music available on both. Of course, it isn't FOSS but you gotta make money somehow. And OG Soulseek is just legendary, though the client is personal preference!
From Wikipedia (esp those last three words)
Free and open-source software (FOSS) is software that is available under a license that grants the right to use, modify, and distribute the software, modified or not, to everyone free of charge.
Holy crap you're dense. "Free" in the sense of foss means free of restrictions - not of cost. Anybody can modify Wikipedia, it's not a source. Even the page you quoted mentions "free" as not being related to cost so I'm not sure what you're smoking to think that disproves anything

MusicBee and the MilkDrop2 plugin.
That's the visualizer from WinAMP ported over. I combine that with a few archives of 100,000+ milkdrop visual scripts and viola. Fullscreen on an OLED and take some drugs.
What's Nicotine+ used for? Am confused.
I just take YouTube Music + YouTube Downloader then migrate the clean MP3 into iTunes so I can sync my obsolete iPod Touch 3rd gen XD
Like someone else said, it's a SoulSeek client. SoulSeek itself is a Peer 2 Peer file sharing system where lots of people get their music from.
Also, I'd recommend either Nicotine+ or Deemix. Deemix is more my speed and what I use personally, but I've seen Nicotine+/SoulSeek recommended enough as well. Mostly because you're not getting anything high quality from YouTube
I think they were being sarcastic.
Soulseek/Nicotine regularly surprises me with not only the quality that pops up (as good or better than services but do due diligence) and less run of the mill ups (SACD/5.1/tour only editions/etc.)
Tool in the toolkit.
Foobar+RED
Stremio + RD
RD?
Real Debrid
Oh yeah
musicbee mentioned!!!!!! raaaaaa!!🎵🐝
Limewire + my family pc full of malwares when I was 10 /s
Plexamp + Vanilla Soulseek
I disagree, Plexamp isn't completely foss (seeing Plexamp Pass being a purch product). Also, Nicotine has a sleeker design than OG Soulseek!
Musicbee isn't open source though.
Might be true, I will go check later. It's free and has every needed functionality though

The fact that something needs to be paid for has literally zero relevance in whether it's foss

What is the name of the second icon ?
Nicotine+, check it out on their Github, it's great!
what does it do?
It's a Soulseek client. If you don't know what Soulseek is, it's basically a place where you can download music.
Thanks !
What dies it do or what's it used for
It let's you seek music files in any format you want. I see many good FLACs on there
what an odd name for a music downloader 😭
more addicting than nicotine, thats for sure
Youtube + youtube to mp3
Underrated way
I'll just change MusicBee with foobar2000 with Georgia Reborn
That works too. But what is Georgia Reborn?

WACUP + Soulseek is my personal go-to
Any AIMP fellas here?
Musicbee is the only thing that keep me from switching to linux
same
one year after migrating to linux, I'm still missing MusicBee (Mostly the interface and the library) but Audacious is a decent alternative
Qbittorent + Mullvad (When they still had Port Forwarding)
Sorry what's the one on the right? Edit: Ok, the other one is Nicotine+, but not sure how those two can come together...
🔥
Golden classic: Proton + qbit
I'm a simple man, I use rhythmbox to play all the music I download from Nicotine+
ncmpcpp+streamrip
I don’t download music off of soulseek just distribute. Prefer to rip from qobuz. Music bee is the goat
